My grandchildren and I had such a wonderful time. One of the best places for a great family outing. Plan on going again this Summer. There is so much to see you can't possibly see it in one visit.

This place is great for the family or even a cute day date. A little pricey but I get it, they have to feed that giant turtle. It's a perfect mix of education and live beauty. Parking is convenient but again pressing in the wallet a little. Keep up the great work though.

Read the critical reviews carefully before shelling out $40 just to park, stand in line forever to purchase $$$ tickets, and then stumble around this poorly designed maze. Honestly, one of the worst aquariums we have visited and the layout is a disaster. Small tanks that are hard to view due to dense crowds and very narrow walkways. Between the maze like spiral staircase, noise, and stroller traffic, I couldn t wait to leave. We live in Sarasota and only have the much smaller Mote, but it s a gem compared to this nightmare. I m embarrassed that we paid so much and wasted the day.

Really enjoyed this Aquarium. Not as big as many we have seen but it has an interesting flow. The central column of 23 ft tall cylinder around which you walk on a ramp and watch the fish and turtles swim, is a great feature. Definitely go all the way to the top. Each floor has a few exhibits on the peripheral area. Sunday was very busy but I am sure on a non weekday, this can be a really slow paced and enjoyable experience. We still enjoyed it but it was a tad too busy to stop and smell the roses . Reasonably priced.

We got in at a lower.price with pass from the local library. My son loved the whole experience. Given that he is sensory driven, it was not overly loud or stimulating. He loved the touch tank with the Ray's the most! They have an awesome tank in the middle of the aquarium with many tropical fish and turtles.

It might not be what you expect, but it's absolutely worth the visit. First, it's a lot smaller than you probably think. The large tank is the main exhibit and it's full of beautiful sea life. Unfortunately it seems to lack a lot of other attractions. It would be much better if it offered more educational stations for kids and more exhibits. Parking is expensive so the Blue Line on the T is your best bet. Lunch is overpriced and all fried so consider bringing sandwiches and snacks if you have younger children.

Despite this, it's definitely worth the visit. It's an exciting and magical place for young children. Try to keep them engaged, after they see the big tank there isn't too much left. Check out the penguin exhibit and the touch a star fish area for the full experience.

30 years in the Army and they give you 2 dollars off the pass how sad is that. Then we get in there it's too hot no sharks in the tank that my grandkids wanted to see. Over all very disappointing

Fine aquarium. Went on a Friday afternoon, Ticket booth had only two lanes open and it took us 30 minutes to get tickets. Prices are a bit high- $31 for an adult. Wouldn't be an issue except that there isn't much here. The term I think that fits the best is dull. The whole building inside is concrete and dimly lit. The animals living space is very sparse and shallow, and they seem to be very bored. The whole experience was almost depressing really. Staff was very nice though!

Great place to bring children. Its a lil pricey. A good trick is get 2 passes from ur local library its a lot more affordable.
The aquarium has a large variety of fish, a touch tank, a kids sector, lots of things to see and do. A large giant tank spans the center of the building. And if u wear white the lighting will turn it blue.
If your in a rush the outside seal exhibit of the aquarium is free to visit and enjoy. And around the aquarium is a great view of the harbor. Harbor cruises like whale watching leave from the dock nearby

Interesting and educational Even pet the open pool of stingrays as the swim around the exhibit. Low enough for young kids to experience . Then there is the live showed for before it after seeing giant 3 story fish / shark tank. During nice weather time you can visit harbor seals outside . Manatees are around Boston harbor too. . Take mbta ferry to there even . Low income can show Ebt card for discount for you and who ever in your crowd . My son showed his military and it was $2 per adult kids free.

Super expensive for not a huge aquarium but still lots of animals/fish/etc. The touch pools were pretty crowded and the "shows" were a bit disappointingly short but still loved our time there.

Apparently the ladder into the penguin tank is for "employees only", and yelling at the sting rays that you remember what they did to Steve Erwin is "frowned upon". The view of the harbor, however, was great!

Expensive! Don't park in the underground garage. 40 bucks for 80 mins or more and 32 bucks per adult to get in. Small exhibits other than one huge tank in center. Would not do again. So many of other cool places to visit.

It was an amazing experience for everyone of all ages. The layout is easy to figure out very spacious and beautifully placed spotlights and wonderful lighting. It is a bit hard to take pictures of yourself without flash.

If going on a weekend, best and cheapest parking is at Post Office Square Parking garage. 5 min walk from there to aquarium. Easily spend 3-4 hours there with the presentations and animal feedings. IMAX also optional. Cafe is just ok and pretty expensive. $10 for fries and chicken nuggets.

It s an aquarium, so it s always going to be neat. Has an impressive penguin exhibit and some major over crowding just like similar experiences. I was disappointed in the shark exhibit. I assumed it meant they had sharks, but overall it was a good outing. Though I do consider the pricing high, similar aquariums have usually been $20 or less.

Travelers, the new England aquarium is a wonderful experience for the whole family. The penguins are charming and can be seen from every level of the aquarium. The Giants turtles are beautiful. The divers add to the fun of the visit. The manta letting tank is a hit with young folks. Check it out. We recommend.

The aquarium is one of my favorite Boston attractions. There are a lot of exhibits and you can really spend the whole day here. I enjoy both the indoor and outdoor portions so you can get some sunlight. There are also shows you can watch where animals are being fed/ doing tricks which is my favorite.

We had a great time! Take the time to do the whale watch, it's amazing when you get to see some Marine life....we had a whale that was almost teasing us! One time, she was so close we could have reached out and touched her!!!!

Its a little expensive, but fun place. I enjoyed watching the penguins and the tons of exotic fish. They also have an area where you can pet/touch starfish. Overall a good experience. Definitely worth a visit.
I also went for the whale watching tour. The tour took around 3.5 hours and out of that, we traveled on the boat for almost 2.5 hours before we spotted the first whale. Personally, I was not a huge fan of the experience as I felt a little sea sick and I saw the whales only for a total of 10 minutes in the 3.5 hrs trip.
