Terrible! I do not advise anyone! Too small room! Poor penguins are in a tiny pool (I do not represent how they suffer). And the seals generally poor fellows-they have a pool so small that they can not even swim !!! Fish in scanty aquariums - shameful!
This is a real prison for marine animals !!!

Nice small aquarium. Do not expect too much. It was very crowded on a sunday and you even had to wait in line to use the restrooms. But the animal caretakers are doing a great job and the shark petting tank was great fun for the kids. But all in all far too expensive.
My kids had so much fun. It was exciting I felt like a kids all over again but its is expensive to get in and pay for parking we were there 2 hours parking was 40 bucks.
It has a great selection of sites. Penguins, seals, turtles, rays, lobsters, small sharks, and even a touching tank. It is a little poorly lit, but this may be for the fishes benefit.
For being as old as it is. This aquarium has a unique and wonderful charm to it. It may not be as large or loaded with Live Exhibits as other newer aquariums, but it is definitely worth the visit. It has a distinct layout and a massive cylindrical tank in the center of the building. They also have a large number of penguins in an enclosure that surrounds the center tank. I very much enjoyed the time I spent here and I hope the very best for this aquarium in the future.
The aquarium was nice overall, there was a wide variety of fish to see including penguins, turtles, jellyfish, etc. If you are going to go there, don t expect to stay for over an hour, it s big, but not much to do. You can also pet the stingrays and have a hands on experience.
The New England Aquarium is all time favourite. More than 2000 various fish mammals. The place is multistorey building located at beautiful river side place. Inside Aquarium the Central tank is very nice. Must see place if you are around the Boston.
The entrance is a little expensive, but it is worth visiting, it is a beautiful aquarium with a variety of fish. There are fish stations that can touch the fish. Calling is clean and organized. There are bathrooms as well. At the end there is a gift shop.
my family spent a total of $400 and when we visited. only to have to pay more when my kid fell in and was raped by a seal they sued us and we lost and had to pay $300 000. It was all worth it though when i stole a $3 pencil topper
I've been to bigger aquariums and thought this one was small. It was cute, with their nice little variety of animals. You can touch starfish here. There is a sting ray touch tank. I was so sad when I noticed that the sting ray's fins had abrasions. I think they were grazing their fins against the glass too much.
The Aquarium is very compact, and is built around their unique main tank. The tank holds a man-made reef and lots of fish, two turtles and hammerhead sharks. A ramp winds around the take with lots of panels to stop and watch. There is a touch tank...small, but fun for kids, that is popular too. Outside of the main building is an IMAX theatre, as well. Definitely worth a stop. The location is nice also, you can walk along the waterfront and watch the boats and planes.
This aquarium is stellar. Multiple touch tanks, feeding displays, training sessions, informational sessions. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They stick around and discuss the animals and answer any questions you have. Completely handicapped accessible. Well taken care of with beautiful tanks. Well worth every penny and your time.
Very fun afternoon visiting the New England Aquarium! Lots of cool animals to see. Got to watch the sea turtles eat lettuce, the fur seals were very fun to watch, and saw an interesting IMAX movie about a sea turtle's life journey. Overall, super fun outing with my boyfriend and his mom.
Lindo! This aquarium is so beautiful, everything in there , the girls, loved the giant turtles, they were hugeeeee . I liked the tiny little sea horse, they were so adorable . My husband loved the fishes!.
couldn't ask for a cooler location for an Aquarium! after you walk in you are presented with a very large fun to watch for longer than you think penguin exhibit! set up is great, animals look to me like they are very happy and healthy which is the best part!!!
I m not quite sure why this aquarium is getting all of the 5 star ratings. I expected more. There aren t any knock your socks off exhibits. They re all pretty typical. I appreciate the conservation efforts. The staff is genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. They re also pretty patient with the many, MANY people that just can t seem to get their children to follow directions at the touch tanks. The crowds are almost suffocating (to be fair I went on a rainy Monday afternoon.) The overall experience doesn t justify the $27 per person price tag.
Long lines to get tickets. None of the shows are included anymore and they are expensive. The dolphins were always my favorite and now you don't get to see them unless you buy a special ticket for it. The price to get in the aquarium itself is high enough. Also parking is hard to find. Unless you want to pay $40 to park in the garage out front. Oh the aquarium doesn't own it so no validation for your ticket so you will be paying the $40
Liked the aquarium very much in all together. Its a nice place to take kids. They have giant cylindrical exhibit having thousands of fish. Its breathtaking. There is ramp which goes around the cylindrical aquarium and you could different kind of fishes from top to bottom. At the top you would see huge turtles which atleast 100 years old. There are small aquariums also with different kind of fishes which you can explore. They also have an area where you can touch star fish and other small creatures. At lower level they have penguins which are adorable. The price is a bit higher but i got passes from library which brought down the cost to $10 per person, which is no big deal. Kids love it!!
Don't waste your time or money. First of all it cost $40.00 just for parking, then a wait of over 30 minutes to purchase tickets because if you purchase them online they charge you a fee, three tickets was $77. Then once we got inside it was very hot inside and jam packed with people. All of the glass to see the fish was covered in dirty hand prints and due to the amount of people you could not get close enough to see anything without getting shoved. There were no dolphins or larger animals other than a few seals and some penguins. There was a large selection of fish, but was looking for more. We did not do the IMAX theatre so I cannot speak for that, but the aquarium itself, took us just a little over an hour to go through and cost us $117.00. Definitely NOT worth it, I am not the type to write negative reviews but was not impressed at all. take the trip to Mystic in Connecticut, much better value and nicer place.
The kids loved it. The exhibits do a good job of providing something for a wide range of ages. The touch tank with the rays was awesome. The penguins were a big hit and feeding time would be great. It was really crowded when we went, but we still felt like we got to see a lot.
Loved this place! I brought my 6 years old son and he loved it. Soo many types of fish all sizes. The penguins and the sea lions were adorable. Also, if you would like to see a big snake, the have some too. My son and I called those snakes Anacondas because they are huge. Parking is a little expensive ($40) but going to this place is totally worth it.
One of the best aquarium I have been to. The seahorses and sea stars collection are very impressive. Try to buy tickets early before 10 a.m. or online to avoid long lines of tourists.
The aquarium was a fun stop for our family on our last visit to Boston. Their are hundreds of exotic fish that are mesmerizing to watch. The tank in the center of the aquarium extends 4 stories high and is spiraled by a walk way. The layers of seaside were incredible. We watched a sea lion show, enjoyed the sea turtles and loved the ray touch tank.
Amazing and fun experience! So many activities and attractions in one place. The various animals have different feeding time so you will probably hit at least one / see activity of cleaning up a tank. A lot of excitement for all ages. Nice food court for a break and up kept bathrooms. Recommend with babies too.
This is a pretty impressive aquarium. As soon as you walk in to the museum you are greeted by the penguins. The museum is well laid out so that you circle up and then circle back down seeing different exhibits along the way. There is also an outdoor exhibit. The staff was very friendly and spread out about the museum educating the guests.
I've been here several times as a young kid. Its always fun and the exhibits are all cool, from the simple ones to the large tank. Brought my 5 year old daughter today, she almost exploded with excitement at the front door. We even got to pet some sting rays.
This place is great if you've never been, honestly a little more time to poke around would have been nice, but kids had their own ideas. Very cool place, not sure it has a ton of return value after a few visits.
It was an awesome experience in the COVID period they have taken atmost care for safety. But it is not that big aquarium but you will be able to see some good stuff like penguin, big turtle and many more.
