The best option I found for little kids in the area, the animals seem very well taken care of and appear to be happy. The exhibits were beautiful and clean and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.
many species of animals; especially liked the cute penguins
Great aquarium! Penguins and seals and all kinds of exotic fish.
A great place for kids and adults alike. Not only are the animals well presented you will find the views of Boston to be fantastic and the architecture stunning.
Wonderful multi level aquarium! They have a giant center tank full of fish, turtles, sharks, and rays. Large penguin exhibit with 3 different species of penguins. Each floor has a different theme. They also have harbor seals at the front entrance and sea lions and fur seals in the back of the building. The only things that I think could be better are the penguins could have a more realistic exhibit, the harbor seal should have a bigger exhibit, and the sea lions need a more realistic exhibit.
The worst Aquarium ever, the say the have Anacanda and NO anacanda.
Beautiful place had fun with wife amd granddaughter
Wonderful place to visit, the only problem is that it gets way too crowded.
Huge waste of money. I thought there would be so much more as it cost my $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids to walk through the front door. The set up is strange and doesn't flow well as people are walking into each other. Not many aquariums as you would think. Instead they fill space with displays, posters, and touch screens.
Loved the coral reef in the middle of the aquarium. But way overpriced considering how small the aquarium actually is, also really tight and small inside making traveling with a stroller a nightmare.
Friendly, awesome array of species for a smallish aquarium.
It s not often that a wedding ceremony is interrupted by a seal. You read that right a SEAL. But that s exactly what happened at Alyssa & Andy s New England Aquarium wedding in Boston. Their wedding ceremony took place along Boston Harbor s Harborwalk.
It was absolutely beautiful and we were so happy to do the photography and videography for the day. Alyssa & Andy had a Jewish ceremony overlooking the harbor and then moved into the aquarium for cocktail hour, and finished with the reception under the big tent.
Having everything in one place made the day flow so smoothly. The Boston Aquarium is a wonderful and unique wedding venue that is full of charm!
Got here just before lunch and had a very easy time making our way through. Lots to see and touch! Great to do as a couple and with your kids!
I loved this aquarium because they have sections where you can have contact with some animals like blankets. The penguins are adorable.
Love zoos and aquariums. The center tank is amazing and all the little displays are cool. Hit the IMAX for an informative and cool movie for $5 too.
Some exhibits are great but its not at the level it used to be.
It was a nice aquarium but i have when to a better one before this, bit pricey, but overall pretty good.
Great place if you love animals and want to see cool exhibits
Great place and I go back Everytime I am in the city
Not the best aquarium I've ever been to (especially for the price), but it's still worth the visit...First thing you notice is a very unique layout - the majority of exhibits surround one giant cylinder aquarium about 3 stories high. Other than that, the penguins and the seals outside were my favorite exhibits. I was, however, very disappointed in the lack of sharks!
Baby Penguins has arrived and Myrtle the 90 something year old turtle is still a site to behold.
Got to be One of the best aquariums ever. they have a 500 pound turtle and really amazing and beautiful sea creatures from all over the world
This was a very fun place. I've never been to an aquarium before but I really enjoyed myself! There is so much to see and learn from this place. The gift shop has all sorts of cute little things you can buy and the Cafe food is sooo yummy! I definitely recommend this place!!!
Our company rented it out for our holiday dinner and it was an amazing experience. I'm not sure how it is when open to the public. It was really nice having the aquarium to our self and the food wasn't bad either.
Great family experience. Lot of things to do and see in the area. Love the historical value the area has. Good eats close by.
Nice walk around the aquarium. I loved the single manta ray in the entire aquarium.
This is a must see place! It was my favorite part of my trip to Boston.
Loved the aquarium because you can get right up close and they have a nice variety of things to look at. Layout is well done and everything is in working order and well maintained. We got there at opening and glad we did because it got crowded with school trips as the day went on. But.....full admission price is expensive because it's a 1-2 hour visit, not even a half day. We went with a GoBoston pass and that worked well for us otherwise I would have felt ripped off for sure.
Sooooo awesome! My son had a blast here, and so did I!! We will visit again and again. Loved it!
That right there is an awesome place very educational
Boring and over priced, basically just the middle tank is the coolest part, but it would probably be good for smaller kids, but as an adult it was nothing special. Only took like an hour and a half to get through it
Was Amazing but in compare of price it's little much even though kids loved it.
The aquarium is awesome. The penguins, the sea turtles, the seals, the seas lions. It's all so awesome.
I have never had less than an amazing time here. My wife and kids love it, too. Being a member here is totally worth it. It's a place you can come back to over and over. There are great activities for kids, too.
Also, check out the events they do here. It's a one of a kind venue for music. The penguins dance like crazy.
One of the worst aquariums I have ever been to. First of all, the aquarium is very small by size. It is also very crowded and packed. To make matters worse, the layout is very inefficient. There is also not much to see. The only fascinating exhibit is the 4 story tank. Most exhibits are typical exhibits that you will see. Nothing special. Despite this, I do appreciate their conservation efforts. They do teach you something about protecting the planet. In terms of pricing, it is not very expensive but I would not recommend buying a season or annual pass as there is not much to see here. Going here multiple times in a year may be boring because there is not much to see. But what is worse is the fact that the only place to park is the local parking garage and rates there are ridiculous. To park for 3 hours it will cost you $40. Now that's money down the drain.
We enjoyed our visit to the aquarium and loved being able to see Myrtle the turtle, all of the different penguins as well as the seals. Definitely a bit pricey and the parking was REALLY expensive next time we will do more investigating on a less expensive parking garage!
A great experience - be sure to go if you are nearby. You do not have to be a friend of fish or other marine creatures.
Awesome!!! We go yearly, and will continue to come!!!
A wonderful place to take the family. I've been going since I was a kid and the experience has only changed for the better. It can be very crowded so try going outside the weekends and school holidays.
Fun and enthralling, but a little pricey. $30 for one person? Even for Boston that's a lot. But the Large Ocean Tank is almost worth it.
We had tons of fun visiting and getting to see everything. Easy to get to and explore once inside.
Love the fish, great place to take kids, but I recommend bringing your own food as the cafes food is subpar and lukewarm.
Ok, it is memorial day weekend. Knew it would be busy. Fine. But... When you cannot move and every square inch is occupied by people it means management is not properly counting how many entry tickets are sold and how many are leaving. Great location, decent exhibits and a bizarrely designed gift shop where the cashier is at the end of the store and you have to fight your way back to exit.
Requested a refund after 40 min of fruitless attempts to view stuff. No dice, but to their credit they gave us free tickets for another time.
Great aquarium! Was overly crowded on the say we went (Saturday) so it was hard to enjoy with tons of people.
Kids loved our day here. Keep your eyes peeled for the giant sea turtles!
It's a good place to go only if you have kids, they get excited with the penguins and tanks. But custumer service is not good and long wait in the cafe, so I recommend you go eat outside.
Penguins! They have PENGUINS! That alone in my book is worth the trip, and that's coming from a guy when would rather get the rabies shot than travel to Boston. (Nothing against the people in Boston... It's that the road layout of Boston makes driving there a nightmare at best.) So many things to see and learn I look forward to my next visit.
Small but decent place with a huge 4 store tank. Houses a really huge turtle!
Been here twice. Great experience for anyone who loves marine life! Very interactive and educational!
Terrific aquarium, but beware of going on a holiday.
Wonderful place. The tank in the middle is beautiful.
Does what it says on the tin but a lovely selection of marine life to understand and enjoy looking at. There are lots of talks by the staff about the species and what the marine animals do. There's even a Manta Ray station where you can touch them towards the end. Close to the Whale watching boats too.
Great aquarium but the strollers are a NIGHTMARE and should not be allowed. The people with strollers will just stand in the middle of the walk way blocking anyone else from getting by and run over your feet without a care in the world. It s too busy here to have strollers and makes the experience so much less fun.
Wonderful aquarium with great exhibits and staff. Loved the penguins!
Aquarium was awesome as always. Communication between the staff on what line serves patrons who have bought tickets online directly from the aquarium vs. Online tickets from a third party like Expedia REALLY needs to improve. FYI, parking in the garage next to the aquarium is $40 if you stay>2 hours. I'm from NH and hadn't been to the aquarium in over 5 years, so the locals may have known about the extra frustrations outside of just enjoying the Marine life. It was a fun day.
Cool exhibits but they let too many people in and was too crowded.
It's on the smaller side of aquariums but they make great use of the space. They have a large penguin exhibit, touch tank with stingrays and sharks, as well as a central tank with a spiraling walkway. If you buy from the gift store be ready to hand carry out or pay for a reusable bag. Also make time to visit the IMAX.
Nice exhibits and sea life. It was very busy and too many kids about, I'm probably being a grumpy old man about it but I didn't like it that much. Would be better to go during quieter periods.
Great place to visit be sure to visit with your kids
Kids had so much fun and it was so informative as well.
