We thoroughly enjoyed the Jane Goodall exhibit and the Women Around the World! Great for all ages. No lines and staff was very friendly.

Went for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre exhibit and it was really great. Even the Titanic exhibit, which I had no idea was there, was interesting. Yes the museum isn't free, but you do get your money's worth out of this one I think.
Great place to take your kids they will definitely enjoy it
Wonderful experience, I liked the format and the flow of the exhibits, it helped navigate the space very well.
This place was terrible. I took a 20 min taxi to get here and the "museum" was a hallway about 15 foot long with artifacts on either side. Absolute waste of time and money.
Met my expectations. A grandiose walk into the far past, with a great deal of focus on Egypt before the Birth of Christ. Very humbling seeing what they were able to do then with hardly and contemporary technogical resources.
The Tomb of Christ and Titanic: Untold Stories exhibitions and 3D experience were excellent.
I was definitely expecting more. Two exhibits a nice park in the middle and a history of national geo aisle... I don't think it was a good value or that I learned anything from the museum. I only liked the history walk. I don't think the 50ft aisle should be the highlight of that sizely museum.
Also the photo booth is terrible, the quality of the photo, the printing and everything is really outdated and you cannot cancel anything once you start an order.
I love this place. It' splendid. Exibitions are great.
Listed as open online and closed when we went in January. Call before you make the trip.
Expected more, this was disappointing to see after the Smithsonians.
I really enjoyed the Titanic exhibit and I learned a lot. The "Tomb of Christ" exhibit was OK.
I hope to visit again
Interesting exhibit, but compared to other dc museums, it comes up short on size and value.
Very interesting place, but I expected more from them.
Really enjoyed the interactive visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre
The museum was awesome. This was my first time going at it was pretty cool!
Totally worth the visit. It's their world headquarters and the space is really interesting. Don't forget to visit the courtyard.
Wonderful exhibits... really enjoyed the titanic this year!
Enjoyed the current photographic display, "Wild!", a great deal.
Excellent exhibitions. Well worth the price of admission.
Disappointing, not much to see and no movies also on weekdays.
I have visited it with family, on and off, depending on the exhibits available. Always clean, well organized, and very popular. If you hear about something they plan to display that you want to see go to their website and see if tickets are needed. GO NOW! Tickets run out pretty fast. Near a few Metro Stations and lots of food in the area - depending on your tastes.
Loved both exhibits. I felt like I was at the tomb of Jesus.
The 3D experience of the tomb of Jesus was unbelievable
Very nicely done. The Queens of Egypt exhibit was really well displayed and the kids scavenger hunt made sure my daughter was engaged.
They know how to put on first-class photographic exhibitions, like the present ones on Jane Goodall and Women around the World.
The moving exhibits were great. The "permanent exhibit" is a halleay you can see in five minutes.
The Tomb of Christ was very well made but some of the videos after the movie were on a timer and wouldn't play right away so I'd have to wait several minutes. The Titanic was also well made and some of the exhibits were amazing but this topic has been well documented and I was a bit bored. The whole submarine coverup just wasn't enough to entice me to be interested. My teenage children said the same thing about the Titanic. Now that I know NatGeo exists I will be back for the next exhibit.
I expected a little more from the permanent exhibit. I'm very happy that the temporary exhibit was fully in my wheelhouse otherwise I would have been disappointed.
If the Women photo exhibit is still up, go see it.
Nat Geo loses a star here because the quality of this museum -- which has priced admission -- is SO dependent on the frequently-rotating exhibits. I've seen some of the best exhibits I've ever seen in this building; I've also seen some of the worst. Check before going.
The worth visiting place if you really want to experience 3d museum.
Went to the Queens of Egypt. It was a nice exibit. Very smooth layput, benches spaced out comfortably through the exhibit.
Not to busy like all the other Museums around. Nice garden too. Very interactive.
This sucks I was hoping to see naked native women, like the magazine, this was so not worth it!
Wonderful exhibit on the discovery of the Titanic wreckage. Many interesting facts well presented.
Overrated and pricey for what it offers, just compared to the wealth of free museums in DC, this one is strictly for the kids, and even they will be bored with the uninspired displays.
While the exhibits were interesting, we literally went through the entire museum in about a half an hour. For the price, this is not a good deal unless you like looking at National Geographic magazines. If you want to visit a museum, I would recommend visiting the Smithsonian or Newseum.
The women of Egypt Xzibit was knowledgeable and fun
It was good because the exhibit was good. Usually just okay but if there is something good on exhibit its a nice venue.
They are closed till March and didn t update their google! Got an Uber here. Waste of money
One of the points you should include in your visit to Washington!
Great experience in learning and wonders of the past. A must visit.
My wife loved the visit here. I expected much more...I left thinking "jesus and birds"...that was it
Expeditions and adventure stories come to life at the National Geographic Society's base of operation.
My family and I expected more from this museum. It has only two exhibition halls, another on company facts and a gift shop. The salons are pure photos and few really shocking items. The best thing about the museum is its store. Keep in mind that it is one of the museums in DC that charges admission and is not really very cheap (+ or- $ 15)
In a city of outstanding museums, this deserves your time. Impressive technology is used to explore and explain topics. For example, the virtual reality exhibit is far better than others experienced.
We had planned an hour-ish but found ourselves there well over 2 hours.
If I lived in DC, I would be a member.
Not really a museum as much exhibits on the ground floor of HQ.
We enjoyed our visit. Saw some wonderful/beautiful photograghs. Expected there to be more than two exhibits though.
This is an awesome exhibition! I strongly recommend visiting it as it has a lot of information and some interactive experiences such as the Senat game. Though not interactive, the 3D feature gives you a tour of the inside of a tomb which was cool!
Real small , basically just 2 exhibits for $15 . The 2 exhibits were very well done though
Small museum, but exhibits are always phenomenal! Small size is actually perfect for older adults that can't walk as much but enjoy museums. Tomb of Christ exhibit and Jerusalem 3D were enjoyed by my family and extended family
Big disappointment... definitely well below my expectations
It was just videos about Jerusalem and Tomb of Christ. $15 per person was way too much. You can see all online for free. Also the second exhibit is nothing. Staff at second exhibit was worst, not friendly with even kids. Save your $15. We were 4 adults and two kids, wasted $60+. Save your money.
The best. So many historical figures and events. I took over 100 pictures inside.
Stopped in to check it out per staying close. Permanent exhibit is a bit underwhelming (though free) but it's worth a quick stop to check out
The Titanic exhibit and Tomb of Christ exhibit were well worth the admission price. The Tomb was mostly a virtual reality exhibit, something new for me. I really enjoyed it. And just when I thought I had read or seen just about everything to do with the Titanic, this exhibit exposes recently unclassified information. Loved it!
Beautiful pictures
But the expos are very small
And the high price
No video
In short a little disappointed given the reputation of this institution
I saw more beautiful at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum and free
Very educational. Good for adults and children eight and up.
Apparently the exhibits change here frequently. When I was there it was about the Titanic and another exhibit was about Jerusalem and the tomb of Christ. I didn't really know what to expect. I thought there might be more photography exhibits or covers from previous magazines. There were a few in the windows.
Nice place to go if you're looking for a smaller museum with some really in-depth exhibits. Points for presentation!
