It was so much fun! My 4 year old had a blast! There are lots of cool things you can do like the simulator there are 13 cars and you get to race everyone in the other cars. Then they have the pit stop challenge that will test your time to jack a car up take a tire off and put it back on and fill it with gas. Along with lots of other fun things!! The pit stop cafe is very good too. I recommend the BBQ sandwich!

Boys/men will LOVE this place! Learned a lot though... plus they have interactive racing :) But too many kids eliminate you instead of racing... / pretty well setup museum / 5 stars
One of the best time activities in Charlotte for the kid and the kid at heart, is the Nascar Hall of Fame. Guests depict the experience "as heart-beating" and "insane fun." Four stories of interactive exhibits await you in this famous landmark of the new south. Nascar Hall of Fame is huge and takes a few hours to explore, but the experience is worth it.
It really is a hall of fame more so than a museum. I think visitors who already have an understanding and follow NASCAR may get more than we did as folks totally unfamiliar with the series. It was pretty pricey with activities that cost extra beyond the cost of admission. Lightning McQueen was the beat part.
Friendly and welcoming staff. All entrances are wheelchair accessible with automated pushbutton doors. Good overall elevator access. Never had to wait more than a few seconds for one to come. If you're in Charlotte it's worth checking out even if your not a NASCAR fan.
Great exhibits with lots of history. A little spendy but the information and memorabilia in this building is well worth it. We enjoyed the interaction exhibits and would recommend spending the extra $5 to get the audio headphones. We hurried ourselves a little bit but was still there 4 1/2 hours. The only thing that hurts this facility is the ungodly cost of the parking garage. Plan on spending $20 to park.
Amazing experience! This was part of my dad's 60th birthday trip and first race! We've been to Daytona's museum and loved how different they both were and how this one entertained us! My dad (and us) loved our time here!
My wife and I took our two sons here, mainly because of our oldest son's ( age 7 ) almost lifelong love and admiration of the sport. I myself remember watching many a race after getting home from church. But I digress.. We weren't exactly sure what to expect from our visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame, but believe me when I say that it quite literally AMAZED US. We spent hours absorbing the brilliantly displayed cars, equipment, and the huge assortment of historical memorabilia and records. There is so much to do and to see, that I wish we had allotted more time to stay. If you have been trying to decide whether or not you should go, trust me, GO!
I enjoy the Hall of Fame. Start off with the movie and go to cars and track angles, then Hall of Fame circle, then over to car tech and disqualified parts to video game and up to memorabilia from all the years of NASCAR. Interesting to know the Charlotte News had a hand in shaping NASCAR. I am not a huge fan, but really have a good time visiting the HOF.
Enjoyed looking at everything in the small amount of time we had. Would like to have had time to do the simulator. Staff was super nice but the guy who takes tickets was a bit crabby.
Superb place! I did not expect so much detail .. quickly making it 2h ... For a passionate who wants to read everything and listen to at least 3 hours.
Unfortunately too little time but otherwise certainly a must visit. Admission is relatively expensive. The shop has normal prices and offers some nice memorabilia.
I was staying at a hotel just across the street from the NASCAR Hall of Fame and could see it from my window, so when I was done with work for the week...I had to visit. The place was empty when I visited, most likely because it was the middle of the day and not Spring Break or any other busy tourist season. Based on this, I expected the staff to be more helpful and attentive. Literally the only staff member who spoke with me on my 2.5 hour visit was the lady at the front who collected my money for my ticket. I saw about 20 other employees as I walked around, almost having the place to myself and they never greeted me or asked if I wanted more information about a specific collection I was looking at. The displays do have signs and I can read, but customer service goes a long way at making someone feel welcome. I was very pleased with the layout of the collections. I did not eat at the cafe inside as it was completely overpriced and expected, for a tourist location. I enjoyed all the displays, just wish the staff was a little more involved and attentive.
The nascar hall of fame is an awesome place to go to if you're at all a fan of Nascar. A lot of cool cars to see and all the history to see. There are a lot of fun interactive things to do like the racing simulator and the pit stop simulator.
It s a small museum for NASCAR. They got 1 simulator ride and you can experience replacing sports car tires too. It was fun and not much rush at around 11:00 am on Sunday. Queues had just 5 min wait. It s ok for one time visit.
Incredible place. Every display is so well thought out. A ton of interactive and informative exhibits. Absolutely loved it and would recommend it for anyone, of any age, who is even a little bit interested in Motorsports.
It's a nice place with a friendly staff. The biggest complaint here is the tickets are way over priced. Also the more fun things to do cost even more on top of the ticket price. Wouldn't be very interesting for young kids but overall it's pretty cool, especially if you're into Nascar.
I didn't use any services, but if you are anyway a NASCAR fan it is THE must see in Charlotte. We were in for a day and was glad we made it our first stop...go NASCAR!
My husband and I aren t NASCAR (or auto racing in general) fans. However, we both enjoyed the Hall of Fame and the interactive displays. Unfortunately, not all of the displays were functioning. Don t miss the Pit Stop and the Race Simulation. Remember to do your qualifying round (it will make the simulation must easier). Staff is very helpful and informative.
While we are not NASCAR fans, we found the HoF well done with lots of interactive exhibits as well as lots of other historical information. This is a great place for families to visit and learn more about the sport that was born in the Carolinas.
