Great place to visit if you are really into NASCAR. There are a few "hands-on" activities to do there. My grandkids liked doing the "pit crew" activities, racing against their dad. It is rather pricy though for admission.

This website is excellent and I was able to get information I needed. I am looking to become a member and the information was most helpful. I plan to visit in November. I am very excited to see this great museum in Charlotte!

Great experience for NASCAR fans! Lots artifacts and memorabilia spanning over 70 years. Staff is great. Plan on staying at least a half a day to take everything in. And the iRacing simulators are well worth it. Made you feel like a real driver, shifting and all.

Enjoyed my visit to the Hall of Fame. My Dad took me to my first Nascar race in the early 50's when Asheville Weaverville speedway opened. My visit brought back all the old memories of all the race tracks and drivers of the early days of Nascar. I also have 85 autographs of the old drivers. All the old ones in the Hall. I look forward to Banjo Matthews joining his fellow racers.

I bought my Dad a membership for Christmas. I was able to go with him to the Hall of Fame on 1/13/19. Let me just say, WOW! We were entertained all day, not to mention the staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and organized. I would highly recommend this to everyone, even if you are not interested in racing. There is something for everyone. I will definitely be returning with or without my Dad! Lol!

For motor enthusiasts, an inevitable stop on the journey here in Charlotte. Try the simulator, very realistic; challenge your friends at the pit stop; look at how a car is made for these races and don't miss the Heritage section.

It s an awesome place to know the history of car racing. You might be surprised to know that the whole racing started with a car chase between cop and alcohol seller. :)
Cars movie lovers will enjoy further more because of the history around it.
You do get to be in the race(in a simulator though :) ).

Only for true NASCAR fans. The entrance fee is pretty steep at 25 dollars. The hall of fame is cool though. The glory road is very cool to track the changes of the cars and tracks throughout history. I enjoyed being able to walk on and feel the difference of the banks of different tracks. The theater showed a very rushed and shallow movie about the history of NASCAR. The race week experience was very in depth and interactive. It could seem daunting to not NASCAR fans. I loved the history exhibit on the top floor. Full of cool exhibits and memorabilia. Hard to recommend to people based on price and lack of accessibility of the exhibits.

Just wanna help out! Parking is not a block away. It's about 10 steps if you walk from the bww doors to the garage. Ask staff for the fastest way. Parking isn't free for guests nor employees, because it's not directly NHOF and just owned by the city. City doesn't seem to like giving free parking to people. Someone said that all staff is retired and not knowledgeable. Both are not true. Staff is mixed and most have good or some knowledge of NASCAR but it's not required for the job. Some staff worksother jobs related to racing / Nascar or have direct connection. Also, all staff have different departments and duties that don't mix. So please, be patient if one has to look for other staff to solve an issue or clean up. Nevertheless, only simulators require a combo or an extra. Everything else in the building is covered in general admission. Sometimes people assume other interactives are extra, for some reason. Try everything! There are renovations in the building, that limits the experience a little.

I went into the gift shop (after eatting at Buffalo wild wings) but was kind of disappointed by the lack of Carl Edwards shirts, they only had four styles on hand and no smalls available or female cuts. They only had large or extra large. Other than that it was great got myself a narcar shot glass and added it to my collection. :)

I was here as a chaperone for a first grade field trip. Everyone had a blast. Lightning McQueen was a big hit with that age group. They also really enjoyed the simulator. The staff was friendly and engaging.

You get price gouged for what it is. 25 dollars per person plus the adjacent parking is like 5 to park and 2 to 3 dollars a half hour. The exhibits are ok. I was very surprised that more attention wasn't given to Dale Earnhardt sr. The best part really was the staff. The people who work there are genuinely friendly. Also, the simulator is fun.

I was not real impressed, and them asking you to by a picture they take of you every time you walk by gets old fast. I have been into Nascar for over thirty years and up on all the history of NASCAR and most racers also. The internet has a better information base than they offer here. Also it seems to lend itself to a Jimmy Johnson showroom instead. Way to much on him. One thing I found missing even were Jeff Gordon had displays was anything to do with Pepsi. And I noticed the same thing with any older items of Tony Stewart and Home Depot.

It would be a good place for a newbie to NASCAR, but disappointing to an old timer.

ALOT of nascar history and info. Interactive things to do with the simulators and being part of the pit crew. Spent 4 hrs here, saw all of it. Bought the headphone package, enjoyed the extra detail we got from it. Might be a bit much for younger kids, and those less enthusiastic fans, bordom might set in for them.
