So phoning their answering system to get Mweb to phone you back is pretty much a dead end. I been waiting a week. I'm more likely to get help from roadkill than from Mweb.
Also a family member wanted to cancel. Waited 5 months. And still they have not called back... so canceled the debit order. They have not phoned to enquire. Very unhelpful. Disappointing from once a striving company years ago.

Mweb are crooks! billing you for things that you did not agree to. when wanting to cancel and switch over to a different ISP the retentions and cancelation department offered me the same price and faster line as the ISP I was switching to but they charge me the full price of the upgraded line and then turn around and say that they never said it was this month but the next month. I did not agree to this. I asked for the recorded conversation and they haven't called me back with the recording.
I have been trying to contact MWB for months even before lock down on the email addresses supplied - all of the emails come back as undeliverable. It is impossible to try and phone as you will wait an hour for any kind of response. I am battling with my web page that I very SADLY and REGRETTABLY took out with Mweb. Their service is pathetic!!!@
Paying for a 20/20 line for almost a year now. Only getting 20/2, logged a couple of complaints on website. No one ever called me back. Phone line always busy.
One can't get hold of any contact number available for Mweb. You log a query and nobody responds. Disconnected for days and there is no way to communicate with the provider.

Do not use this ISP! On the first day of me opening up an account and ordering a fibre line they messed up and created 2 accounts to one home. One for myself which was meant to be the only account they created. they then only charged the second account which was somehow connected to my partner which we ended up paying when we finally found out it existed by them cutting us off. Then we were forced to cancel one account obviously which they then took an early cancellation fee via debit order out of my account without being authorized. This has gone on over the course of a month. And by doing something as shady as this whats stopping them from creating 10 accounts and then forcing us to close 9 of them and pay the cancellation fees. Disgusting service.

Been using Mweb for over 10 years and recently a friend applied for fibre with mweb. 3 weeks later no installation and cannot get through to them. When you leave messGes or queries they DO NOT respond at all. There is ABSOLUTELY JO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MWEB.
Would like to show appreciate for Mweb and Vuma reach after I had the misfortunate of having my line cut they, came out immediately the very next morning after I was told it will be 6 to 8 days thank you for great after service during this time of the year
Pathetic service! Disconnected my line on a Saturday morning, called tech for assistance but wouldn't assist me because for some reason the security question of my nominated contact number was some number I have never heard of and they refused to take my correct information which has never been a problem in the past as I have called them many times before... Argued with them for around 5 hours until I was informed nothing can be done within the next 72 hours

I've only had BAD service with you. Upgraded to 50mb then after 2 weeks only u upgraded my line. Now when i do a speed test it shows only 13mb/s cant even have 3 devices on wifi then nothing works.
I've been struggling to get fibre from mweb for two months now and I've never in my life received such bad service and there is absolutely no communication with their clients. Every time there is a problem they just leave it until I eventually call them. This takes two hours out of my day every time because that's how long it takes to actually reach someone that can help you.
Now I'm trying to cancel my order because I haven't received anything yet so no additional cost should be applicable but as soon as I call them and ask about this they just hang up.
So I can't get fibre and I can't cancel my order? This is truly shocking.
Mweb is probably the worst service provider I have dealt with in my life. Their customer service was entirely unhelpful asking me to try to restart their product. Their product did not perform anywhere near what was advertised, and broke repeatedly.

I ve been awaiting feedback about the delivery of my fibre router. It s been 5 days since they promised to deliver it. Mweb has failed to provide me with the name of the courier service and their contact details.
The courier service always comes to deliver during the morning, when I am at work and they have cancelled my router order.
All I request are the name and contact details of the courier service.
Mweb has been incredibly unhelpful, perfunctory and they are a pathetic ISP whose only consistent features are failure, deceit and disappointment.
The salesman of optical fiber is very friendly and lacks trust. At the last critical moment, he does not answer the phone, cannot contact, and cannot contact the mobile phone landline.
DO NOT CHOOSE MWEB AS YOUR ISP!!! They are Pathetic! No explanation needed. If you are a client of MWEB, you would agree. If it was possible to sue them, I would!

Without exaggeration, this is the worst company I dealt with especially in terms of customers service. I made at least 5 phone calls trying to active my sim card. ( its been a month now) people either drop the call after being on the call for 40 mins. People promise they will call you back and never do! Not once has anybody followed up on a promised call back. Really really bad, I will never waste my money on mweb. Anything goes at this company, nobody is held accountable for anything.
Was promised installation of fibre in under 14days, it's been almost 2months now and they still haven't come. I've called numerous times and am still waiting waiting. Everything was installed and setup by the previous tenants to all the need to do is give me a router and activate it. Utterly disgusting service, use another service provider if you can.

Limited technical solutions. Huge problems with their on line emails syncronising with your own computer. Staff need a lot more training to avoid a huge amount of time sorting out their problem at your own expense

When I took out my contract to move from Telkom to Mweb, I signed a contract for data at 4mbs. When he migration is now taking place I am informed that instead of the R199 a month that I have been paying that I will now have to pay over R400. If this had been made clear to me I would never have taken out the contract. It would be nice if all this was made clear to customers from the beginning. I will certainly not recommend Mweb to anyone.

Impossible to get hold of. Never answer phones and never reply to queries. Tried to update my contact details with them for over 2 years and they just never got it right. Now I'm trying to cancel an order and they are not available to service the request so you just end up paying for stuff you can't remove.
I have been trying in vain for over 2 weeks and many calls to so called customer services to have my fiber line activated. Now having cancelled my ADSL with Telkom on MWEBs instruction I am now sitting with 3 kids on school holidays and no internet at home... no sense of urgency or desire to sort it out from MWEB and cannot get ahold of management don t know if they are on holiday or more likely just don t care! Would suggest using another ISP there are many to choose from..

I ordered and upgrade of speed from 10mbps to 50 mbps. I was told it would take 5 working days. That was on 31 july and today 27 august I am still waiting for it to be implemented. Everytime I have managed to speak to someone (which is also hard work) I am told it is link africa who is at fault. Link africa tells me its mweb. All I know is that my order has not been activated and I am exasperated trying to find out when/if it will ever happen. I work from home and need the upgrade desperately. I cannot understand why a speed upgrade has taken so long. Dont you want my money??????

I have struggled with Mweb for two weeks just for activation. Consultants cut me off every single time I contact Mweb. Thus far I've spent R500 or more airtime.

So fiber is coming to my premises soon. I therfore cancelled my adsl service to upgrade to vumatel fiber when it arrives. Ever since I cancelled my account (1 months notice)(Still have the internet for a month and a half), My internet speeds have been extremely slow. I have not had a problem before this. When I spoke to a consultant, he said the same old thing telkom is having problems . He even stalled when saying the areas because he was looking at my address to figure out which areas to say are being affected. Very disappointed and guess who is not going to be my ISP when fiber arrives.
My fibre line is down and I phoned mweb from friends land line as I don t have a land line. They told me they can t help me as I have to be at home and answer questions about the router which I upstand. I asked them if they can t call me when I are at home as I don t have a home phone and calling on my cell phone will cost me a fortune as I waited 20 minutes for for my first call to be answer and I can t afford this as I am a pensioner . I was told no and that I can get a ticket for a technical person to call me but only three day later After this experience I am definitely going to cancel my contract with MWEM

THE WORST PHONE SYSTEM! - MY OLD NUMBER HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 2 YEARS. TRYING TO UPDATE IT NOW. HOWEVER, THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THEY SEND ME A PIN -WELL GUESS WHAT ITS SENT TO MY OLD NUMBER. SO I HAVE TO REDIAL ALL OVER AGAIN AND GET TRANSFERRED 2-3 TIMES BEFORE ANYONE ACTUALLY HELPS! I HAVE HAD NO INTERNET FOR THE PAST 9 DAYS AND HAVE SENT NUMEROUS EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS! South African companies usually have poor customer services but MWEB takes the cake when it comes to the poorest! You will not be able to get a hold of anyone. Save yourself the anger and do NOT use their services. Horrific how a company can operate this way.
I have been trying to go contact on websites....waiting for up to 4 hours on phone.....get to no 1 in queue then get cut off 4x......I just need a password as I cannot send emails and work from home. Am going crazy as this is really bad service !
I signed up with Mweb in November 2019, since the time I switched on my router, I had no connection, really slow speeds and I reported this, I informed them that I would like them to sort out my speeds because I refuse to pay for a service that I am not receiving. After the first month, the issue persisted. I emailed, called chatted to consultants, everytime I am put through to a different agent who promises that they will be in touch, and every agent I spoke to tells me that they will get it sorted, they will add notes to the system, I WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY CANCELLATION FEE'S if they are not able to sort the issue. (because clearly the issue is with MWEB and not me). over the past 4 MONTHS of paying MWEB for a SERVICE that they PROMISE to fix, I receive a email saying that my MWEB package is going to be cancelled, while admitting that they are cancelling it because of their infrastructure that is not allowing me to have a good connection. This does not make any sense. I have been requesting callbacks, emailing and no response.. NOBODY EVEN CONTACTED ME TO DECENTLY TELL ME THAT THEY ARE CANCELLING MY ACCOUNT. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A COURIER ASKING ME TO BE AVAILABLE SO THEY CAN COLLECT THE ROUTER. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. If am requesting once again that somebody calls me because I refuse to email, call, and chat to non responsive agents.. I am so upset and I AM TAKING THIS FURTHER! thank you.
Applied for fibre on the 30th September on the 2nd October installation and service activation fully completed. Very impressed, entire process from application to service activation done very efficiently. Excellent service. Keep it up!!!
Call centre regularily just puts the phone down mid call, or never answers
Regularily "resolves" issues only for them to re occur within hours.
Their fibre service is terrible .. They provide you with trash zyxel routers that can't throw wifi further than a meter and will disconnect every 5 minutes then tell you to get a wifi extender that is just as useless.. Been with mweb for years on adsl and had no problems with routers and wifi.
The worst experience I've ever had. Fibre was installed and have been trying to have it activated since May 2020 and still no one is willing to assist. Pathetic call centre staff.

No response after numeries queries logged. After 2 weeks of perfect wifi my wifi went faulty. According to the technical operator my router was never configured?!?! How is it possible after having wifi, router in perfect working order? Technical personnel offer no solution to the problem, not helpful. Definitely not happy with the service.

Unusable connections speeds (below 500kbps) on their LTE package, when calling to get help on the issue you have to wait for 20 mins to get through to technical help who also are only able to offer short term solutions to a persisting problem.
The connection itself is really good. But Good forbid you have a query and require customer service. You will die waiting. Absolutely poor customer service!
