The food:
Absolutely delicious. You'll be surprised by some flavours that are pretty rare to find. No idea what they add in there. The portioning is only a tad bit smaller than I would've wanted and is a little pricey. But the quality makes up for the size. The view and phenomenal service/friendly staff make up for the price. Coffee is average; the making is great but the bean is quite poor. The restaurant is simple decorated but very elegant and very pleasant.

The wine:
I haven't had wine this good in a long time. They are a small wine producer with some niche traits and many experimental flavours. You can only really buy their alcohol here. They have around 20-25 bottles from the entire spectrum of wine types. A bottle averages at $35 for one or $28 if you buy more than one. They also toss in discounts up to 30%. Definitely good value.

The tour:
$20 if you rock up just for it or $5 if you have a meal and then go to this. So worth it. The tour leader, in my case Jeremy, was incredibly knowledgable about the vineyards, very friendly and cracked a few good jokes to keep it light. You'll also get to taste more wines and even beers straight from the vats, and possibly an experiment if they've got one going.

The view:
Gorgeous. Sweeping grass fields 450m above sea level. You're in a valley area between the vineyards. You'll spot some ducks, odd birds and kookaburras too. Rural area near Dayboro on the stunning drive up Mt Mee

Overall:
You will not be disappointed. This is the best winery I've been to so far. There are accomodation options here too.

My wife and I have had dinner at Ocean View Winery a few times and have always walked away happy. This evening we attended a local producers' long table dinner. This evening showcased local produce and a number of the producers attended the evening. Can't wait to go back. Great for locals and visitors alike.

Beautiful day out. We did the winery tour with Alex who was fabulous and enjoyed sampling some of the wines. Lunch was amazing, with the loveliest staff member looking after us, she made sure food allergies were easily catered for. Can t wait to return!

We had our wedding at Ocean view last year, and this is a welllll overdue review. (Sorry it took so long)

Where to start!?
If I could rate 10 stars instead of 5 for Kate, I would! She was an absolute Gem!
From the moment we came to view the winery and venue, she made us feel like family. Nothing was too much for Kate. She answered all of my nervous bride questions leading up to our big day, and delivered 10 fold on the day for us. I don t know what we would have done without her. Thank you so much Kate for making our dream wedding possible for us! We couldn t have asked for more! Xx

We chose to have our ceremony down on the lake under the gazebo (before the new roof had been erected).
It was just beautiful. I loved the location and the outlook/backdrop. Made for some amazing photos and really special moments for us. I would certainly recommend to have your ceremony down here. Especially with the new roof they have built, that would stop the sun shining in your eyes in late afternoon (better for photos) and great for wet weather option.

Kate was amazing enough to let us use the restaurant for our reception venue. As when I walked in it took my breath away and was exactly what I had I envisioned. They decorated the venue just beautifully for us too, was very romantic.
We chose to do a cocktail style wedding and I am so glad we did. We had everyone mingling and dancing to the band, with tables and chairs dotted around for our guests to sit and chat should they wish.
Or they could sit out by the fires or pot belly stove (we had a winter wedding) it was just magic.
Then there was the food!!!! Oh my gosh the food was simply amazing! All of it was so delicious and they accommodated every single dietary requirement our guests had without a hassle at all.
If I had to do it all over again, I would certainly do the cocktail option, it was fantastic.

We also booked out all of the cabins on site to get ready in for our big day. The winemaker cottage was the perfect space for myself and my bridesmaids, and was fantastic being on site (we walked down to the ceremony) was good for the nerves being all on site.

I would absolutely recommend Ocean view estates for your big day! You will not regret it! It s a whole package deal rolled into one, Kate and the team will certainly look after you!

We can t wait to head back soon for our 1 year anniversary ;)

Cheers! The Clarks! :)

We had our daughters wedding there on the weekend, cannot complain on anything. Venue amazing, staff very professional, bar was well attended and service was impeccable, compliments to the chef as all the food was amazing. Special mention must go the Danni the wedding planner, always on hand to handle and deliver on any issue that would arise during our preparation. Having the new function room completed in time was a bonus too. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding venue to take a look at Ocean View Estates Winery & Restaurant.

We celebrated our wedding here, and everything about it was just perfect. Throughout the entire planning process Dani was the most incredible help, always there to answer any of our questions, and help us every step of the way. The food and wine at OVE is just amazing, and the service we received was wonderful. The venue itself is just beautiful, and created beautiful backdrops for our photos. Our dog was also able to be a part of our day which meant the world to us! Thank you so much for being a part of our special day! Would recommend 100%

The first time in the restaurant a few months ago was great and I would have rated it 5/5. Went there today for a picnic. Totally disorganized. The guy that met us after a few minutes of standing around needs to change careers. He is not fit to work with the public. Booking time was changed on the spot with no explanation. We were told to order food at the cellar. After waiting there for around 10 minutes, we noticed there was a line on the opposite side. A friendly couple let us go in front of them as they could see we were there first. Next we were asked for our"ticket"which the first guy forgot to mention or give us and asked to go back to the restaurant where we started. After I showed my reluctance, we started ordering food and wine for the picnic. It was like being in Woolworths. No one attempted to up-sell or make any suggestions. This place has the potential to be the best Brisbane has to offer but today was seriously lacking staff with passion and energy. I have rated them 3 starts because of the uncertainty COVID caused. If not for COVID it would be 1 star.

Highly recomend. We were regulars for special occassions or lazy breakies with friends and always impressed for the 7 years we lived around the corner. We left the mountain several years ago and came back to stay the night onsite for our 10 year wedding anniversary and are glad to report the service is still top knotch (you love your work Jeremy which shows) and we (wife and I+ our 8 yr old son) all loved our courses and service, you and your team has only lifted the bar to loftier heights on previous awesome experiences. Keep up the good service.

We were gifted the wine and bine tour and lunch and were not disappointed.

The winery is set in a beautiful setting, the tour was just long enough and the guide knowledgeable.

The standout though was the stunning tasting plate which was enormous and pure heaven on a plate. Each taste on the plate was paired with an enjoyable wine.

We will be back. Thanks for a great date day.

We stayed the night in the single room cabin. It was extremely comfortable, exceptional clean and very pleasant. Nicely located to be quiet and peaceful. Dinner and breakfast were great. The food was excellent but the staff even better. So pleasent, friendly, helpful and just wonderful people. Thanks for a great night away and rest. Shawn

A spectacular place to while away the afternoon!

A spectacular place to while away the afternoon!
The setting is beautiful, near Dayboro in rural Queensland.
Entering via a tasting area visitors are able to sample a variety of wines before making an informed purchase. The Dining Area also offers great views and the meals are superb. There are also a few cottages for people wanting to stay the night!
Not a cheap place to dine, but good value for money all the same.

I went here as part of a horse riding activity, through Slickers. We rode as a group of about 30 people for 2.5 hrs, to get to the winery, and then rode back. If you do this you can't choose meals off the normal menu. I had to get a set menu, with the choice of normal, vegetarian or gluten free. It cost $26/person. I got the normal.

Also included in the horse riding package was a cheese plate and wine tasting. We were seated 10 to a table and there were 2 different cheese platters on the table. The cheeses were good and were amazing with the fruit pastes and honey (which came with the natural honeycomb). There was brie, blue cheese and hard cheddar. The biscuits were water crackers on one plate and rice crackers on the other. I wish we got our own servings instead of sharing with strangers. It's understandable for a cheese platter I know, but it happened with other food too.
There were 4 wine tastings, we got a couple of sips each. One of the waiters served the wine very unevenly. One person would get one sip worth and another would get 1/4 of a glass!

Next we got chips served with aioli and salad of lettuce with toasted breadcrumbs. We got 2 bowls of each per table. They tasted good.
Next we got a duck pancake each. Then a slow cooked beef brisket slider burger. Lastly, came a pork belly slider with cooked fennel. I was full at this point! I had to wrap my pork slider in a serviette and ate it when I got home. They were all delicious.

The people who ordered vegetarian or gluten free got their meal on one big plate instead of spread out.

I would go to this restaurant again because I would like to try their normal menu. It sounds amazing! I especially want to try the entree of scallop and crab with apple caramel.
