I was warmly welcomed by wonderful staff and was given a free wine tasting of up to 5 different Wines. The food there was absolutely outstanding and I would highly recommend it to anyone it would like to go out for a visit. There was a wedding being set up on the day and it looks like a wonderful place to have any function or party for that special occasion. I can only give this place my highest recommendation for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

A fabulous venue set amongst grape vines and open mowed lawns. A great view from the restaurant. A very friendly owner chatted with us. The food was excellent, as was the friendly service. Very up market meals, which are done with excellent presentation.

Didn't stay here - only came for lunch. When we arrived there was no clear signage. We found the tasting room entrance easily enough but there was no service. It took a good 5 minutes to be served - there was just no one around, and the staff that were around were too preoccupied doing things like looking at clipboards. When we were finally served we got 2 tasting flights and sat outside. It was cold and they only had one fire pit - it would be great if they could get some portable gas burners and maybe some blankets.

Once seated inside for lunch the service was attentive. Our order was incorrectly taken - a side was missing from the main service. We were not charged for it however it would have been nice to have it with our mains. All in all, I see what the menu was trying to go for here and the presentation of the dishes was lovely but all the courses just lacked something. The flavours were all a bit dull. They sounded fabulous on the menu but didn't hit the mark for me. They also didn't hit the mark based on the price either.

Nice spot for a date, a weekend drive out of the city etc. I sincerely hope they improve their dish flavours and overall service because it's a great venue otherwise.

The is an absoultely gorgeous place with amazing views. The staff are well educated in the wines and beers they provide for tasting, which sets the scene for a great time. If you looking for a nice relaxing day, then take the drive.

Sadly disappointed but perhaps my expectations were too high.
Given the price point and the fact they offer a degustation I was expecting fine dining. There were were a few areas that let them down and I know individually they are very minor when they all add up the experience is affected.

AMBIENCE
- my mother described it as a canteen feel. they very much rely on the view which are wonderful but it would have added to have some flowers on the table (even fake would be fine) and perhaps a table cloth. Its just a number of very simple tables and chairs.

SERVICE
- we were taken to our seats and left. I then had to get up after a few minutes to go and get our menus. If this is the way we should do it, it would have been helpful to be told this by the waiter, but it left us feeling forgotten.
- we had to ask for a number of things inc water for the table (it would have been nice for it to be offered), we then had to ask for the glasses not being used on the table to be removed as the number of glasses were building up and cluttering the table.
- table was not wiped down when things removed, so lots of wet marks on the table

WINE
- given they are a winery I think their staff should be able to give you some advice about the wine (they do not need to be a sommelier, but they could know something about their own wines)
- I also think it would be good if they offered a small wine tasting during the meal - perhaps 3 x 25-50ml tasters)
- I feel that the staff should be shown how to pour wine / sparkling wine (so that the bubbles don't fill the glass and over flow - it just doesn't feel very professional)

FOOD
- the food was OK/good but not worth the price tag
- we were there for 2 hours for 2 courses. Timing is important, no one like to feel rushed but at the same time I was just about to ask if our mains had been forgotten when they eventually came. We all had the same thing - duck
- I don't feel the duck lived up to its price tag ($39) in either presentation or taste. esp as this price is for the duck only then extra for any accompaniments, $9 mash and $15 greens. The sharp dried raspberry did not work very well with the fatty more sweet duck and I think this could be improved.

As I said, all very small things but if they are advertising as a close to fine dining experience they have some improvements to make. I would pay these prices happily for a better experience.

Visited for pre organised wine tasting with a group of about 12 on a winery bus tour from Brisbane. Was late in the day and staff were preparing for a wedding. No meet and greet. Left standing outside the cellar door for about 15 minutes before male staff member appeared and speed talked his well rehearsed blurb. Did the wine tasting outside, still no chairs or anything to rest a glass on. Two wines were offered at a time but we were only allowed to choose one of the two to taste. Then another two offered and so on. I asked if I could taste both wines on one occasion, I was ignored. Whilst the staff member was pleasant enough the presentation was rushed and I felt as though we were an inconvenience. Others in our group felt the same way and the tour operator even apologised to us. Beautiful place and countryside.

The food is well presented and so tasty. There are a lot of options for all types of eaters. Vegetarian, vegan and people that love meat. The staff are always friendly and polite. If you go on a weekend, book in advance. This place is popular. Highly recommended.

It is a long way from Brisbane and there is no view of the ocean just in case you expect it.
The service was slow. The food was average.

I had the lamb ribs. I thought they were over cooked. The desert was not what I would call inviting.
The wines though, were smooth and enjoyable. The staff were friendly but not experienced.
Having been, I would not go again.

Winter at the estate was serene, though dry. Food and wine were beautiful and comforting in a chilly day. Service was warm and thoughtful too. A sense of anticipation was in the air as life would come alive again as the season turned. Will return again when the vines are ridden with fruits again!

Very disappointed, ordered a main salad costing $23 and it came out the size of a small entree. The total cost if I had picked the ingredients from a supermarket myself would have been around $4. I understand a winery is going to charge more but that was outrageous. Our mains also took over an hour to come out which was a long wait for a lunch menu. Dear say I will not be visiting again anytime soon.

Food was fantastic. Wine was cheap and nasty. I understand the desire to sell their own wines but if you can't offer a wine that isn't lower end it may be worthwhile providing offerings from other wineries.

Stayed in Shiraz cottage and ate at the restaurant twice. The cottage was basic but clean, tidy and peaceful it was exactly what we were looking for.

The food at the restaurant is amazing - could easily hold its own in Brisbane CBD. The duck was the best we have had in Australia.

Great base to explore Dayboro and to do walks near Mt Mee in the National Park.

Can't wait to come back.

Excellent dining menu: very large choice of distinctive, creative and diverse dishes - all prepared very well. Smaller but still interesting wine menu. Unique, estate-brewed range of beers, several quite impressive. Very good table service: natural, attentive, discrete, professional. Chef is gifted, and even visits some tables. Restaurant, in and out, is clean, tastefully decorated and spacious. Grounds and hinterland hills estate are gorgeous.
For me, this was a very rare case of ticking ALL the boxes.

Took a leisurely drive up to beautiful Mt Mee to lunch at the fabulous Ocean View Estates. It was a stinking hot day but oh so lovely and cool sitting on the huge verandah surrounded by the trees and rolling hills around the winery Ocean View Estates is an award winning winery and brewery hosting weddings, winery tours, dining experiences and onsite accommodation. Only 45km from Brisbane we had a lovely drive through Samford Village and Dayboro to get here.
After we were settled on the huge verandah, a bottle of OVE Unwound Sparkling Chardonnay was promptly brought to our table, and with menus in hand we sat back, revelled in the cooling breeze and made our choices. For me, I couldn't go past the Miso braised lamb shoulder crepinette, with charred eggplant, miso, roasted cabbage and pea tendrils. It was incredibly delicious and the presentation was spot on
My other half chose the Sourdough fillet sandwich - rib fillet, mushrooms, jarlsberg, fresh pickled beets, onion jam, cos, caper, and crumb salad, chips, and aioli - not your average steak sandwich this one
Dessert for me was the Raspberry sorbet, umeshu red fruits, compressed watermelon, strawberry, grape, raspberry powder, and chocolate mint. For him - 'Beehive' Jack's fresh honeycomb, fennel pollen, honey ice-cream, chocolate soil, and honey puffed corn. Both equally scrumptious.
Everything was perfect. Friendly efficient service, delicious meals, and killer views. Well worth the drive up the mountain to experience this. A return visit - possibly for breakfast next time - is definitely in order

Our Probus Club of Coorparoo spent a wonderful 3.5 hours at the Ocean View Estate and Winery at Mt Mee. There were 45 of us and we were greeted by Alex with a lovely glass of Sparkling Viognier. Alex then took us down to the vineyard and explained all about the wines and the reason that they are planted facing North/South, we then proceeded to the Vat room and Alex explained about the fermentation of Wines, we all had another tasting, and we're ready for Luncheon. Our head waiter was Andy and he bent over backwards for everyone. Our lunch was an alternate drop of Beef Cheek or Soft Shell Crab followed again by alternate drop of Sticky Date Pudding or Baileys Mud Cake. The food was supurb, and everyone enjoyed their meal, they even catered for one of our members who is a Celiac and our member had a lovely Risotto. Complements to Chef.
Andy's helper at the bar was Kiah they are a very efficient team.
I can highly recommend Ocean View Estate, wonderful food, great service and fabulous view.

Absolutely extraordinary!!! Never have I had a restaurant be so accommodating towards my difficult food intolerance! Usually I hate going out because I can t eat anything but they were so lovely and told me it was absolutely no trouble at all (and more importantly, the food was delicious and they actually got it right even though they were awfully busy because it was mother s day!!!) I had sent them a list of what I could eat and even when I ordered a dessert which had popcorn on the side which I can t eat (I figured it would be easy to go around the popcorn so I tried to make things simple by not mentioning that I can t eat it) they noticed I couldn t eat popcorn and gave me an extra scoop of ice cream instead!!! The service was also fantastic, our waiter Jeremy was wonderful and Scotty too!!

We are regular visitors for meals as we are locals. The food is always outstanding. The service is incredible - the restaurant manager made us feel very welcome and even allowed us to choose the music as we were the last table to leave. The location is perfect for us, and very picturesque during the day.

Spoke to Hannah at 10:04am asking if we had to make a booking for wine tasting and a light lunch for around 11am. It was confirmed we did not. Tasting could not happen due to Covid but we could get a pallet with lunch. Great! We drove an hour to buy 10 bottles of wine and have lunch but when we arrived we found out it was only outside seating while it is pouring rain. Unable to sit inside the wine cellar area due to a wedding. Why was this not mentioned on the phone? Unable to sit inside the restuarant as you need to do a 2 course meal and all booked out until 2:30pm. Very disappointed with this experience. Drove an hour and left without wine or food. Lack of communication and no inside seating during this time.

choppered in to this winery today and was very impressed with the wines and food. The lady serving us was so delightful as was the maitre d' Scott. Great chef, great ambience and a fabulous time was had for my daughter's birthday. Chef even thought to put a sparkler on the desert plate - Thomas you have a gem here, keep it up and thank you for a terrific day. Pterodactyl Helicopters so exciting with Jesse piloting. Enjoyed the whole lot of it.

We had a romantic lunch out and was a absolutely superb experience, from the wine tastings through to the banquet style meal. Compliments to the chef as food was excellent and waiting staff very attentive and good knowledge of their wines. Location was out of this world with beautiful views.

The young gentleman playing music afterwards had very good talent and my partner and I thought he was amazing.

Thank you so much for giving us a fantastic day

We had mothers day lunch here. The good was nice and the service was friendly if a bit overbearing. Our dessert order got lost but the staff are apologetic and got us some choices to tide us over. The view is excellent. The wine, for Queensland wine, is pretty good.
