NEVER GOING BACK HERE, they nice and whatever. I bought my first snowboard and everything was fine but at the time when I got it 2 weeks later, I start to find out that board was really bad and also I noticed that they give me large binding and I am 9.5, also the board is 147 so that s completely wrong. I went and try to return them be nice, calm about it. The manager couldn t give me any deal so I had to keep it. Definitely don t recommend of going here. If they were a option of giving a 0 star that s what I would give because I now I have to sell everything separately and get all new stuff and lose a bunch of money

Store claims to be one of the best in the area! Based on my experience I'm not so sure!!! I bought skis for my college age daughters at this location for their 18th birthdays. They are a year apart. Older daughter is 5' 9", athletic build and an aggressive (double blacks) strong skier. The other 5' 4", thin build and a solid but cautious (prefers tough blues) intermediate. Didn't notice until our European ski vacation after the second purchase but some how they ended up with skis that were the same length and otherwise almost identical. Disappointed!

Absolutely WORST experience!!
I went to this shop weekday night for ski rental for my girl. So there were only few customers (which I expect) so they were not busy at all. The guy there did not even spend few minutes to get her ski boots!! Here is what happened. He checked her foot size, brought one pair of boots, but had her wear only ONE boot and he goes, "How do you feel? Good?" He did not even have her try to put her both feet in the boots nor ask her to stand up and walk around. Poor little girl, she had to say "yes" of course. How could she tell if the boots fit and comfortable if she wear only one boot with less than 10 seconds?? She did not even have a chance to try on different sizes or different brands.
Anyway, I asked for the poles because their rental package includes a pair of poles state on their website. He said it is not recommended for beginners like her and yes, I know because I have 35+ ski experience myself, but one of the reason I went to this shop is that they include the poles, which the other shop does not. So he said he will get a pair.
When I picked up the set following day, they forgot to include the poles so I asked. Another guy there said "we don't have the poles for her size unless she wants to use longer ones like for your wife." My girl is only 4 feet and my wife is well over 5 feet... obviously, his comment irritated me. So I said, "well, I asked the guy yesterday and he said he will get it and also your website says the rental package includes the poles, too." He goes, "It's late season now (January is late season??) so we ran out of her size pole but I can check it if you really want it." Sure enough, he came back with a pair of poles for her size from the back in few minutes. It looked to me, they have it but they don't wanna try to find it? Do they really want to help the customers??
I went to this shop because this shop is "40-years family-owned" so I expect good and detailed customer service...wrong! Through the course of my experience in this shop, NONE of them, expect one female who helped me for ski socks, are passionate to help the customers or spend time till the customer feels comfortable or is satisfied. I do not know if the shop owner is educating these guys how to treat their customer "right".
I had a couple friends who needed rental almost same time, so I told them not to go this shop because of the poor service with shop guys' inappropriate attitude, and recommended to go to the major chain store. They texted me earlier that they were so happy because the guys in the chain store helped them really well to select ski sets. This is a great example how to loose potential customers with big revenue because word of mouth has really strong effect and create severe impacts to the reputation.
Before I picked this shop, I carefully researched on the web, compared the price and offers, reviews, etc., and picked this shop. Many folks rated this shop really good but I was totally wrong to pick this shop over another major chain store.
I also needed a ski rental or buy a set for myself so I went to the chain store for my ski rental next day instead of this "family-owned" shop. The guys in this chain store did not mind me spending more than half an hour trying on different sizes and brands for the boots and all guys there provided me very good service with practical suggestions. I know I have to pay little more but it's worth it because I felt like I was treated like "a customer" and I felt really comfortable selecting ski rental set.
I know I can still get a full refund for my daughter's rental ski set but I am tired of dealing with them. I will need a rental or to purchase for next year but I would never go back to Mount Everest again.
I really do not participate in "review" or make comments on stores or websites for my shopping experiences (I did only once in the past) but I was really shocked and disappointed by this shop.

Love this place. Great people working there and there is always coffee available.

STAY AWAY. WORST experience ever. Rented skis for the season (3 pairs). After 3 months and MULTIPLE calls, still have not recieved the deposit back!! They bluntly lie on the phone... the have NO SHAME. No explanations, just excuses.

Had a great experience with Mount Everest. Great product selection, fast shipping, and exceptional customer service. They will be my go-to snowboard shop from now on.

Great experience. The staff are super helpful, friendly...they took the time to explain in depth and provide us options. They were not pushy or salespersonny at all...great items and options. I cannot comment on the price because I did shop around but the experience alone makes it worthwhile to shop here.

Absolute go to for ski rentals. Rent for the year (yes the entire year) some places charge close to for a daily rental. Knowledgeable staff. Decent prices. I don't shop anywhere else for my familys ski needs.

I drive 45 minutes to go here over my local ski barn. That alone should show how great this place truly is. Great prices and the staff is fantastic.

Called for a "Pool Opening" back in March, 2020. The cost is $303.88. They came May 18 to open the pool and the mess that was left to us to clean up, which totaled 4 days was atrocious!!!!! When they removed the cover all the leaves and debris went into the pool!!! They never checked the filtration system because they claim the water was too low! The ladder was never put into place and was told "put it anywhere you want". I don't believe that chemicals were even put into the pool. When contacting Westwood Pools and Spa with many pictures taken on that specific day and how displeased I was, I received an email that they are short handed and are working from home, but the matter would be looked into. Well, guess what???? No response at all......I told them I would not be paying the remainder of $151.94 for the damages that were done! Will still no response from this company....I find out on June 18 the remaining total was placed on my credit card. I have since them contacted them via email wanting a refund, but as of today, July 22, 2020 I have not heard from them at all. Poor customer service, no response on the damages done and I do not recommend Westwood Pools and Spa!

Great place for beginners and experience skiers/snowboarders

This rating is for the rude guy who wouldn t sell me snowboard boots. He took my measurements and said he wouldn t sell me bigger shoes. He said i measured 7, which i don t because i have 7s and they hurt my feet. What s with the attitude, mister?

I have been using Mt. Everest for years and have bought all my equipment there: skis, boots, poles, helmet, and clothes. I have had especially great and competent service from several different boot-fitters. Ski tuning has always been spot on. And prices are either reasonable or approaching bargain levels. I could not recommend them more highly and have taken my children there as well.

Came in here for a pair of ski goggles for my son. Very nice selection of ski equipment, clothes, and very pleasant staff.

Horrible customer service They told me it would take 20-30 minutes to put ski bindings on my skis. They didn't give me a receipt and tell me that I needed to pay first. At the 1 hour mark I asked if my skis were done and they did not even check if my skis were done. They brushed my question aside and said they would be brought up when they were done, this was said by the manager. They did not take me seriously until I got upset after waiting almost 2 hours. The person who even helped me even tried to lie and said it was my fault claiming he said I had to pay beforehand. I responded he didn't even give me a receipt. The employee just walked away.

Not a very honest shop. Wouldn't recommend, as honesty is key in this business. There are other ski shops that still adhere to standards of integrity...

Friendly staff, always willing to help and know A LOT about skiing/snow boarding. Reasonably priced, and good deals with ski resorts.

I purchased my skis (Liberty V87 Alpine) here last year and could not be more pleased with the service I received. The staff was knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions. They even had a promotion going to mount/adjust bindings at a great price. I d highly recommend purchasing winter equipment from them.

Some of the staff are excellent, however, some might steer you in the wrong direction. Make sure you are with someone who know what they are talking about. Good prices. Great selection.

They have terrible customer service, I waited for 45 minutes and not one person would help after I asked for assistance three times. I stopped going here years ago because of the terrible service and honestly not much has changed.

Very friendly and knowledgeable team. Greeted warmly and asked me to wait while they finished with other customers. Definitely prefer this approach to someone trying to multitask and not do a good job. Once it was my turn, I was taken care of, including asking what I was looking for, providing recommendations without being pushy and the cost of service was reasonable.

If you're looking for BEGINNER snowboarding gear ask for Ozzie, he was phenomenal and perfect!!! He was patient, kind and very insightful

After shopping for all my gear online and riding for a couple years I thought I knew what I was getting and what I was doing. After going into Mt. Everest and talking to the people that work there I soon realized everything I knew was wrong and I in fact knew little to nothing at all. I specifically want to thank Ozzy and Doug for taking the time to help me. My boots weren't fitting right and my bindings were set up completely wrong, but instead of pushing new purchases on me they helped me in as many ways as possible to correct the gear that I had. Just from sitting in there and listening to what they were telling other customers I learned simple things that I didn't even know after years of riding. Even though shopping online may be cheaper, I will gladly pay more to get the knowledge and experience of the people who work there. Its better to get everything right the first time around than to buy things that might not fit the needs you have. Thanks again to Mt. Everest you have definitely landed yourself a loyal and repeating customer.

Nice place for the ski equipment selection but definitely need some business consultant for their ski renting section. Tons of people waiting on the line, but it hardly moves. The staff is very slow and easily get distracted by other clients inquiry. Should train more on how effectively deal w/t different needs and speed up the service .

I returned my rental skies for a tune up and decided to upgrade to a wider ski. The service was great as the gentleman advised me and recommended a great used brand for all terrain and the capability of handling powder. Can't wait to pick them up in the near future, I'll be ready for the 2018/19 Season!

While there were issues with my order, the customer service I received from Ryan was outstanding. He completely made up for any problems or inconvenience that was caused, and I will absolutely be returning to this store for further purchases. Thank you, Ryan!

Terrible rental experience. Was given the wrong size boots and had to convince the staff of the fact. Furthermore the equipment are so old they are borderline unsafe. The boots sole are half worn. Was told nothing else available. No ski poles rental after being told they're available. Just wasted a season rental fee with equipment unfit for usage.

Went for my first set of equipment and was blown away by the level of customer service and quality.

Once again after not buying anything from this store. Today I got out early from work and did some Westwood NJ shopping. And again the Mount Everest RIP-OFF, they are great at it. They have a 14-15 year old at the counter during regular hours and they don't know anything or care for the most part. So here's the scoop... and it's simple arithmetic 4 bottles of 5.25 Shock regularly $4.25 now on sale $3.99 each, check the last page of Community Life. The young lady at the counter and yes I mean young, looks at the case of 4 and says $17. + tax and now we are at $19 +. I said 4X 3.99 is at best round up to make it simple $16.00+ tax. She tried to get 1 of the guys to get a straight answer in the back,but as usual who cares and she apologizes as yes the math doesn't add up and does nothing.... I said this is exactly why I go to River Vale for my pool supplies. I stopped going to these guys over 5 years ago as they used to open our build in pool until the Tech forgot to tighten the hose clamps and flooded the yard. I think it's time for one of the owners to be there for this type of dumbness!! I'll stick to ordering on-line from Pool Gear without these problems!!!

I have never had a better experience with a retailer and recommend this store to everyone. They have huge select with the best prices. Their shipping is as fast as it gets. That goes for their customer service as well. Astounding! They go above and beyond to make their customers happy. I have never had better customer support than what is provided from the staff at Mount Everest. Really a great company with terrific people. Thank you all very much!

Excellent store, my first time after renovation. They did a good job separating all of the skiing departments. Really nice selection. Great service. The only thing I don't like is there return policy. Other than that I would highly recommend for all things skiing.

It seems like a nice place where you can buy all of your sporting needs for skiing or snowboarding. I was just tagging along, but the employees seemed pretty friendly

Great service by several people. It feels like a family place.they even have coffee and donuts in their store for customers. They carry all the high quality gear and brands. Staff are very knowledgeable and don't apply pressure to upsale.

A nice mom and pop styled ski/snowboard store that has a nice selection. Used to love popping in here for great finds when I lived in the area. Right in the middle of town with no problem finding parking. Excellent service.

Called to see if they had a snowboard boot and the girl said she was too busy to look. You'd fired if that was my shop. Had to go the the larger chain shop.

Locally run. Great selection for skiing, snowboarding etc. You can equip the entire family here. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and informative and willing to help. Great place to rent equipment. We had some minor issues with our rentals and they addressed them immediately.

Went here to try and find new ski boots before the season started since they had good deals on last years models, and was not disappointed. Joe from Mt. Everest helped me for at least an hour, knew what he was talking about, and didn't try to up sell me at any point. Would absolutely recommend and will be back.

I have been going there for the past 3 or 4 years for skis and they are really good and they size you fast. The skis could be done in as little as 3 or 4 days

Good selection and rental options. Returned a boot that didn't fit well from the start and they were very accommodating in replacing it. However, with the rental came a $100 deposit. Between me and a few other friends who paid for the rental, it was basically hell trying to hound them to get that money back. Other than that - no issues.

I still never got my deposit back actually from my 2016-2017 seasonal rental.

Beware !!! They sell inferior products and don t back up what they say. They tell you they will take if you if you have a problem but in the end leave you high and dry. I will never spend another dime there ! Other ski shops back their products up with guarantees and are much more knowledgeable.

It was Friendly reasonably priced ski shop 2 yrs ago when I purchased my ski and boots and we rented our daughter's ski set every year here but I am having problem receiving my security deposit back for my daughter's ski rental this year. Called twice past 2 weeks and nothing happened. The person received my phone call had no clue why they hold this refund check to issue and mail out. It's been over a month since I returned ski.
This is such a Bad management and ruining relationship with royal customer.

A huge selection of outdoor gear and pool accessories. They came through for me when I needed a snowboard bag in the middle of the summer. They have a super friendly and helpful staff.

If you are an adult snowboarder, and need to pick up equipment, information, advice from someone who knows snowboarding, this is the place to go. The salespeople are very well trained on everything you need for snowboarding including boots, bindings, and boards. I have purchased 4 boards from them over the last 12 years, and each time I come in the store, the salesperson carefully finds out what kind of rider I am, and matches the equipment I need with my riding style. They have a huge selection of other snow sports related equipment like jackets, pants, shells, base layers, gloves, face masks, butt pads, etc. Love this place!

My experience has been nothing short of horrible. I rented skis for my sister last season and I remember they were very busy, however we were able to get decent customer service and get her skis that she liked. When I went to purchase additional merchandise, the girl at the counter was not polite at all. Anyway, I returned the skis this year, before the return date and they promised that my $75 security deposit would be mailed to me within two weeks, which I though was strange, why wouldn't they just credit it to my card that I initially paid with. When over two weeks passed and no security deposit in the mail, I called again and the women said she was sorry, I should have it in about a week and a half. When I called two weeks later because once again, I did not receive the check, she said she is sorry, they should have sent it out, and they will send it out the next Friday. RIDICULOUS!!! Given that it has been over a month since i returned the skis, I called my credit card company and had them dispute the charge. Mount Everest Ski Shop should be ashamed of themselves. It is illegal to keep a security deposit which is owed to the customer.

It's a rip off, take deposits for rentals and when you try to get your deposit back they tell you that only credit for in store shopping is given only.

I Went to the stadium sale for goggles, staff was very helpful despite how busy it was. I ended up picking out a pair of oakleys goggles. After I waited in line for over an hour I paid, I then realized the staff gave me different goggles, mistakes happen I understand. I met Ryan at customer service desk. Ryan was extremely helpful in exchanging my item for the right one, and made it a pleasurable shopping experience. Good job Mount Everest

Great place to seasonal rent. Bought my Nordica boots there and they fit like moccasins.

Horrendous customer service. If they think they can take advantage of you, they will. I purchased ski's from Mount Everest at the ski sale at the Meadowlands. I needed to take the skis and bindings into the Westwood store to be mounted. Despite being told when I purchased the skis that bindings could be mounted to my shoe size, they tried to upsell me into a pair of $350 boots before they would mount the bindings. This was after I waited 20 mins at the service desk for assistance because their employees were having an indepth conversation on what they were eating for lunch.

Got here to just pick up skis which were ready 12/23, and here is a line 12 people deep...complete w/sick, screaming kids. Why is there not enough help, maybe their system needs to be revised. I have already been waiting 20 minutes and the line hasn t moved. Omg...definitely find someplace else to tune up your stuff...This is ridiculous!

Rented my 3 year olds skis and boots. The staff made sure they fit properly and took their time. I did go early in the season so I was just about the only one there. I was very happy with the equipment and my daughter can go down any hill at mnt creek, even zero g with moguls. ( very proud)

I just returned her skis and bought a new snow board package for myself. New arbor board, solomon Boots, and ride bindings. All at 40% off.
Once again the kid ( 20 something year old, I am 40) did a great job with making sure I got what I wanted. He made,sure to know my riding style and asked about other boards I have risen.
He chose 3 boards and all of them I knew to be good boards. I ended up with an Arbor, which I always wanted but never pulled the trigger on.
Showed me 2 boots , burtons and Solomon. I had the Solomon before and liked them so stuck with them.
