Decided to stop in for a cocktail at the outdoor bar. The cocktail list was well put together and the two cocktails that I ended up ordering were very refreshing as per my discussion with the bartender.

Among my favorite spots in noisy, crowded South Beach. It's a personal oasis from the craziness surrounding it. And when they have a show or pool party, it's first class. Just go in your best outfit (if you want to fit in) and be prepared to drop a worthy bunch of pennies.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June of 2017... I wish I had a choice in the matter because I would gladly give my money to any other hotel than them. One evening of my stay I asked the front desk (very politely) for a small bottle of water (the tiny ones) because I had been outside and was extremely thirsty.. I was told no by an extremely rude worker. I politely asked again telling her how I really needed one. She responded by telling me no again because I had gotten one upon check in. WHAT?! If this hotel is conserving water bottles, I expect the saved money to be put into better rooms as our bed was also just as tiny as the water bottle. Never staying here again.

Great place for dining and partying. In the best location of Miami Beach. It is a bit expensive but it is really cool. It is always crowded.

Overall thoughts:
My husband and I booked this hotel super last minute when we saw how ugly and ghetto the hotel was that we were going to stay at was. When we first booked, the first night we had to pick a pricey room since they did not have space in the cheaper rooms, but after they would move us to our other room. Additionally since we stayed previously at their sister hotel they offered us a decent discount on that pricey room which made it worth the stay. Well the day comes and goes and we go to check out of the room and the staff lets us know that we are staying at the much pricer room for the week at no extra charge. This was actually one of the best rooms with the best views in the entire hotel. Not only that but the entire time the staff was extremely helpful and willing to work with you. Additionally this hotel is in a great location and it has a private entry to the beach which is pretty nice. Another thing we liked was the bar staff by the pool. They had made us a pitcher of daiquiri (since there was no frose) but it tasted terribly. When we asked the staff if we could do something they offered to make us a new pitcher of whatever we wanted and not only that but they made our pitcher of margs super strong. None if that watered down BS. Overall we loved this hotel. The staff was super helpful, its in a great area and overall its just a beautiful hotel

The pool and overall building are beautiful and smell delicious! We definitely recommend it to all our friends and family!

* I'd also like to give a shoutout to the valet. A friend came over in his own car and had a lot of drinks(he was pretty much blacked out) and we gave them a heads up on the situation. Later in the night the friend tried coming back to pick up his car and the valet denied his request and sent him home.

Service was great an engineer came to room for assistance and was very helpful and kind! Yendry was his name and he fixed my tv within minutes. And I happened to about something on my phone and he was more than happy to help he made my experience even better I will definitely recommend and return just to see him again engineer Yendry was extremely wonderful;)

If you travel often and stay in decent hotels... you will quickly realize this hotel has been neglected and outdated. The lobby is nice but I dont sleep in the lobby. The rooms are pathetic

The hotel is fine, it has a very old structure that is more evident in the rooms. I found it a bit expensive for what it offers.
The beach service does not include cleaning it, they would have to take care of it a little more.

Well run hotel that managed to maintain it's original charm, great view from the rooms, professional staff, lively and good restaurant, which is an attraction in itself, location is also great.

What a cool place awesome fun to be at feels like you could actually be in Alice-in-Wonderland with their cool chairs and atmosphere very fun place to try and go.

The Delano south beach is very relaxing it's peaceful you can go visit the aquarium anytime you want it makes me feel like I'm actually in the water. The room for the Delano south beach hotel was very clean the bed was changed every day you did not have to ask for anything they would offer it to you.

Do not select to stay at this Hotel if you value your safety! Their head of security guard is simply unprofessional, who yells and curses in Spanish and making racist remarks at guests that are non hispanic and that does not speak spanish. When asked to provide his name so a complaint can be filed against him, will only say that his name is Albert Gonzalez. If this is the way he treats the customers, I really question if he actually cares about the safety of the guests especially with the uprising of violent crime waves in Miami Beach! DELANO HOTEL DIRECTORS, I urge you to re-evaluate who you hire to provide customer service!

Fun place with great food and drink and amazing atmosphere!

Beautiful Art Deco hotel in a great location. The best bar in Miami Beach to people watch and feel South Beach. Many pretty people.

Unbearable noises whether at the hotel without double glazing or at the swimming pool car traffic ... delivery man ... garbage collector ... loud music ... in short as if you were on the sidewalk !!! this place cultivates decibels in not taking into account its good hearing clientele ... and above all makes no effort to improve the situation ... playing the hard of hearing ... during the stay ... but has the good taste to take an interest in your problems once you are gone. !!!. a disappointing stay .. trying .. catastrophic at this price .. only refuge: the beach but in the sun ... because the shade is paying !!! ... lamentable to charge for a parasol for free deckchairs.. this hotel is living on a restoration which dates. and a reputation which lags ... attention the 2 neighboring hotels charge their decibels at the cost of sleepless nights including one with disco in open air until 3 am .... the staff of the Delano pretend to complain about the neighboring nuisances in particular from the SLS even though they belong to the same hotel group! Once you are gone the hypocrisy of the apology is even worse than the indifference of the reception ...
In short, go there for curiosity and to make noise but not to sleep there! ..the worst hotel stay I have experienced.

The chopped salad is a nightmare. Soggy iceberg from the bodega, lemon mayo sauce? More like sour water! Steer clear of the iced coffee, its basically iced water.

Is this a dream, I wonder as I float in the warm pool, eyes up to an endless summer sky. Palm trees and fluffy clouds dot my view. One tiny airplane casually makes it's way across the heavens. I can hear the music well underwater, like a dreamy mermaid dance club. It's so soothing I find myself understanding that this is what nirvana must feel like. Here I finally found my bliss.

One of the best hotel experiences that is available in Miami. Best part was the pool bar lounge and beach hospitality. Big thanks to Carlos for making our experience so memorable!

Hotel is nice but very hip - it is a scene! I am here for work, pool and beach is great but not inexpensive. Overall, good experience. If you are looking for a more casual, low key experience - the weekdays are much calmer.

Food and service was excellent! Ambience was great! Manager walks around and greets you personally. He sent over a complimentary kale salad. Nice touch!

Outdoor pool bar is my favorite bar in the world. Been going there for almost 20 years and consistently awesome every time.

While the hotel might not have the reputation of years past as the "it" place to be, it's still a great hotel in a wonderful location with fun pool and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and the property is beautifully designed with white flowing curtains, a great bar (the Rose Bar) and good breakfast eating. The rooms are still stark white and a bit dated but worthy of this upscale hotel. While there were some kids around, it's a more adult hotel. If you want an amazing drink, go to the Rose Bar and ask if Steve is serving; he's a great guy and superb bartender.

I was there for the weekly night where it becomes "the place to be" in SoBe. The hotel deserves the fame it has and the party by the pool is truly impressive.

We went there for a pool party and it was so aouxh fun! Lots of people and great music. I hope they put one on again soon!

The Delano is known as a glamorous hotel on South Beach. In fact, it has access to the beach and a very pleasant and large pool. Unfortunately, a lot is outdated here, the sunbeds are stained, the walls in the hotel room are crumbling and the furniture is also outdated. An investment in this building could spice things up. The pool staff wasn't particularly friendly either, ignored our request for new beach towels, promised to take care of them but just didn't. Housekeeping accepted orders from us, but did not carry them out, despite repeated inquiries. The wake-up service did not reach us either.
Overall we had a good time, hence the 4 stars. I can confirm the long check-in times.

We walk in like we own the place, slowly absorbing the grand playground. The big chair is a great spot for portraita of friends. Interact. It is very welcoming. Make your way to the way back bar for a drink in one of the hippest corners of the universe. Spend that hard earned cash here and enjoy. You've earned it.
