Great place to rent a boat for a fair price, do some tubing and enjoy Sardis lake. And it's only about an hour from the Memphis area. Staff was super helpful and friendly and everything was perfect. We will be back.
I would have given 6 stars but the boat could have been a little cleaner, so I deducted one. ;-)

Had a bit of a rough start to our experience, however, the manager made it well, so we gave them another chance and very glad we did. The boat was well equipped and in great shape. We had a great day on the lake!

Love Sardis lake Marina!

Love Sardis lake Marina!
We started renting a slip for our boat last year. Best decision in boating we have ever made. No more stressing over trailering, launching, loading, Did I put in the plug? , is the trim up?, .... etc. Just get in the boat and go!

I wanted to write this review because last year we broke down on the lake at clear creek (Bad Starter). I called Ben at the Marina and he called the Corps of Engineers Rangers to come help us. The Ranger couldnt get to us for at least an "hour or two" . Ben offerd to come get us in the Marina's Rental Pontoon. Ben made it to us in less than 30 mins and towed us back to the Marina. Logan helped us get the starter repaired.
Great people great service!

My family and I really needed to get away and Sardis Lake was just a 45 min drive from home. We were excited about renting the 50 mph Pontoon. At first site it looked great but a closer look revealed fish guts or something gross smeared across the seats. The radio did not work, the bottom on the boat had small holes that shot out water indiscriminately. Also, one of the seats would become wet from the water below it, my son found that out after sitting and becoming soaked. They do not observe COVID-19 mask wearing or distancing at the marina. The experience still turned out nicely.

We had so much fun. Marina was easy to find (coming from Memphis). On the boat and out in water within minutes after arrival, check-in being easy, return same. Pontoon is simple, no bells an whistles, but all you need for a fun day out on the lake. Only qualms were that the anchor was nowhere to be found and the bottom rung on back ladder is broken/missing making it difficult to climb back on board in open water (we rigged something up). Staff provided a map of lake and were easy to contact by phone during the day with questions. All in all, a great find. All aboard were commenting why we hadn't found them sooner and planning our next trip.

Customer service was great the rental process was easy both renting and returning. One of the staff members even helped us carry one of our coolers after a long say on the water. Would have given 5 stars but the boat was a little older looking than I expected but and drove well.

Reserved a boat 2 week s prior and drove 4 hours to enjoy a day on the lake for 4th of July. We were able to load everything on the boat, after waiting for someone for about 20 minutes... and then back out of the dock before the motors started smoking and cut off. The staff changed what they thought was the problem, the battery. But in fact, someone had messed up the starter the day before. You would think someone would check all of the rental boats when they were returned, or even check before one of their busiest holidays. They did give us a full refund, but that doesn t make up for the time wasted to get to the marina in the first place. Overall a terrible experience and would not recommend to anyone.

Love Sardis Lake Marina and its staff! My boyfriend got his sailboat earlier this year and we have decided on Sardis as our "home base" for sailing. We've been many times now and have always been pleased with our experience. The marina itself is very clean and well kept. (Bathrooms are always clean which is a huge plus for any outdoorsy type facility!) The amenities offered to boaters are great. The restaurant serves some really tasty food at decent prices - they have one of the best burgers you will ever eat! And I can honestly say that this Marina has THE NICEST STAFF! Everyone is so friendly and they will go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. The manager, whose name escapes me right now, is always so nice and personable. The restaurant staff is always nice - we usually have Kristina waiting on us. (Not sure how she spells her name, but she's the pretty blonde girl.) She's very friendly, sweet, and takes really good care of us when we come in. Logan is another employee who has been very good to us. On our last visit, we ran into some mechanical problems on the boat and he stopped to help us out even though it was the end of his shift. It only took a few minutes of him helping and chatting with us to see what an outstanding young man he is - his parents and his boss should all be proud! This marina has definitely hired some great people and I hope they will keep them around. They have big plans for expanding the marina and we are excited to see that happen and hopefully be successful!

Ole Duphus does frequent boating at Sardis reservoir and sometimes visits this marina.
It s ok but has changed hands several times and the management is usually incompetent or very young.
The place needs to be cleaned and maintained better.
Does have a restaurant that is decent and they recently added an outside deck.
I wouldn t keep my boat at this location.

I really like the place - really pretty for sunsets as evening approaches. The restaurant appears to be popular but we haven't eaten there. Docks could use repairs (bowed boards, no longer visible dock numbers, loose dock cleats) but it is the only marina, so by default it is the best marina around. Has gas and pump out stations. If you go at night, bring a flashlight to walk on the docks since they aren't the best lit and boards are sometimes uneven.

Rented a ski boat for the Fourth of July, the boat wasn t properly tested before we got there and wouldn t start so we had to get a refund. Wasted half our Fourth of July, you would think they would test their rental boats before such a big holiday. Highly disappointed to say the least will not be coming back and wouldn t recommend, overall an incompetent and unprepared marina.

Water was very brown, but, it had just rained. The lake is really high right now. Hopefully by summer they let some water out. This was our first trip here. Looking for a place to bring the boat. Looks really nice. I'm excited to come back. Looks like lots of camping sites at the state park. They are 1st come , 1st serve. That's important if you want sewer hook up. Also has a BIG picnic area, swim area and hike trails. #summmer2019goals

Good points: Lake experience is worth renting a boat and exploring. Very nice folks running the marina. Clean establishment
Bad points: Our fishing pontoon boat was less than stellar. Radio was locked up. When trying to restart it, wouldn't power up. Used cell phone music instead. Trolling motor dead. So much for fishing in little coves incognito. Lastly, boat rental was at 9AM. Workers didn't arrive until just before 9AM. If I'm renting a boat from 9AM, I expect it, and staff to be ready for me at 9AM. We didn't depart until 9:40 after safety checks, liability signoffs, gathering life jackets, etc. I was there at 8:30
I'd rent again, but get a bigger boat for a full day, and pre-inspect it day before to make sure it's all working as it should.

We were there twice in may & were very pleased with the cabins, however the second time we rented the fishing pontoon boat & was rather disappointed because it was advertised that it had a trolling motor & live well for the fish. There was no trolling motor & the live well didn't work, also the rental times were not good times for fishing. Wish the boat rental was 6am we like to fish in the morning & at dusk.

I don't want to sound too critical in this review, because at the end of the day we had a great time on the lake and we will certainly come back. The staff are friendly, the place is clean, and the boats are comfortable if not a bit beat up.

There were just a few things that could have made the experience even better.

1. We were supposed to have the boat from 9 until 1. We were there at 8:45. Unfortunately, the staff got there late so that we didn't get onto the water until 9:20. It would have been nice if they had told us that we could have the boat another twenty minutes, but they stuck with 1:00.

2. The boat had not been cleaned from the previous users. In the times of Covid, having life jackets and trash strewn around was disconcerting.

3. An hour into our time, the rope on the float snapped. We knotted it back together but then the rope was shortened enough that it was not the same experience.

All that being said, I would definitely return. All in all a great day.

will post a more comprehensive complaint on 3 other major review sites as this one can be altered by the owners. I'll start by saying Logan was not in the office when we arrived to pick up the boat rental. In fact, no one was. We searched around the building and eventually found Carter next door talking to some female. Mind you we prepaid for the $135.00 1/2 day rental so I guess they didn't feel they needed to be in the office because they had their money. When we got the boat and I put the boat on idle speed as instructed as we left the dock as instructed, Logan watched as we left and yelled at me saying "HEY". Startled, I looked around to see him giving me a thumbs down as if I was moving to fast waking the water; awkward and weird I thought as it was he who instructed me to go idle speed when leaving the boat yard. Beforehand, while inspecting the boat the entry door wouldn't open so I nudged it with my foot to get it to open. Logan rushed over with a boisterous bad attitude telling me not to kick the door. I told him there was no latch and no other instructions on the door and wasn't opening with my hand force and the latch at the bottom acted as if it just needed more force and it did. He had an abrasive personality making it difficult to ask questions. Logan and Carter were very unapproachable, unprofessional and Carter had no clue of the details of our purchase and Logan wasn't available to guide him. Mind you all this is eating into our rental time. By the time we launched the boat 1 hour of our 4 hour rental was gone. However, Logan who seemed to be the manager/owner did t seem to care about our loss and reminded us to still return the boat at our 6:00 pm deadline lessons hour. I'm a 21 year military veteran of which they knew and couldn't even get better treatment than this. Also they knew the boat rental was a birthday gift from my wife. Within minutes after we left I received an email with a receipt for $107.00 but they charged us $135.00 plus tax. SHADY BUSINESS! We won't be going back there!!! They get a ZERO with 10 being the best.
