Good selection of fabric. Just don't like having to have multiple transactions to the same business because i want solids and prints.

We drove from KY just to visit. My wife had a great time, I think she brought fabric in every store they had in Hamilton. If you are a quilter you won't want to miss Missouri Star Quilt.
I put in my first order last week and it came amazingly fast. Very promising future.

Update: MSQC called me back soon (within 12 hrs) after posting. They sent me a refund and are also agreeing to help me out with my quilt, which I appreciate. Great customer service - everyone makes mistakes (especially me) but it's an excellent company that can go back and fix things. Thanks for your time.
While I received 6/7 of the items I ordered (the 6 items were just as I was hoping, great fabric selection, a nice thank-you handwritten on my order), I did not receive the one jelly roll I needed. They did email to tell me it was back-ordered within 4 days of ordering, and that they would send it as soon as it came in, but a whole month passed with no word. I called and left at least 2 messages, sent about 3 or 4 emails explaining I'd really appreciate an update (I was trying to make a quilt for my boyfriend, who is a submariner with the Navy and needed a rack blanket. This was supposed to be my big surprise deployment gift for him since I literally won't be hearing from him for at least 3 months - he being 20-thousand leagues under the sea and all...) Finally someone answered the phone and told me that they wouldn't be ordering any more of the jelly roll I needed. Needless to say, I wasn't able to get replacement fabric and complete the blanket in time. Big let down. But what's worse is I still haven't received the refund on the missing jelly-roll I was promised - a month and a half later. Pretty bummed, and still can't get through to a live person on the phone. Maybe I should try Morse code?
Hamilton is a family affair not to be missed! Especially husbands, because they have a place just for the guys to sit down and enjoy a place... just for guys. While their wives enjoy Missouri Star Quilt Company. Quilting capital not to be challenged. These ladies are so helpful even I had to meet them as well. Yes, my wife came back to get me. Happy wife, happy life... of course I went! And yes, of course she bought what I liked. And a few more things too.

I have been quilting for some time now and I love msqc. I am getting ready to order a bunch of stuff. I watch Jenny on you tube all the time. She makes everything so easy. I have learned a lot of tips from watching her. I hope to plan a trip in the spring or summer. Keep up the good work. And I also want to visit the other shops and I don't mind walking.
Love the videos, love what Jenny has created, the site is inviting but customer service and shipping leave a great deal to be desired. I emailed MS about slow shipping and have yet to receive a response. Today I received the shipment and the wrong jelly roll was packed. I do need the right one (Black Tie Affair) for a retreat I am going to but after reading reviews hold little hope of that. I did email them but we will see. Sad as it is, after ordering I could have ordered the same jelly roll from Craft Town Fabric and they do ship the same day. I will be doing more ordering from them and doubt after reading reviews and the lack of reply from Missouri Star Quilt Company that I will be ordering from them. What a shame that something this nice is being held back by lack of good customer service and poor handling the the shipping department.

Any quilters Happy Place! The stores are set up in such an organized way and there's something for everyone. All the staff were friendly and extremely eager to help with any needs. Prices were very good and fabric not in stock could be ordered and shipped home for FREE.
Just amazing for quilters, and a great "man cave" for those of us who serve by sitting in support of our live-in quilters.
I order online. Fabric is always prettier in person. Had an issue with an order and they took care of it quickly. Highly recommend.

Fabulous! 12 quilt stores grouped by style of fabric. Massive amounts of fabric. Great little town. Great company to their employees. Spoke to several and they really enjoy working there. Mans land is a great place to hang out and rest awhile during shopping.
It's my experience they have good quality and many choose all fabric, I'm very impressed they are great business!
I agree shipping is slow, must be because they are very busy with the enormous amount of inventory they carry, not to mention the daily deals, bonus points and flat $5.00 shipping and so many free tutorials. I have cancelled an order a couple times and never had a problem. I've called directly as well and have had the person on the other end be very helpful and patient. I'll be traveling soon for an extended road trip and have this shop on my list of must visit. LOVE THE STORE
I believe that my wifel oved it. Spent hours there. They know how to care for the non quilter males aka "bored husband" TV's recliners, pool table.
8 days and No STATUS ON my Order, NO Communication Until I email and CALL to inquire?
Purchased fabrics to make a quilt on 7/12, after watching a MSQC tutorial.
Initially one of the fabrics was Sold out, then finally showed stock again, a few weeks later, so I ordered both. Now 8 days after ordering, I had to email and then CALL THEM TO inquire.
1 Fabric Now on Back Order, mind you ( 8) days ago it was available???
I understand things happen, but 8 days???? No notification until I the customer check on my order???
Now fabric is NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL MID AUGUST ( OVER A MONTH AFTER MY INITIAL ORDER). Customer service, order fulfillment (lack of ) are HUGELY DISAPPOINTING! Things happen, but 8 DAYS? Wowza!!! Sourced my missing fabric to use to complete my quilt from another small company online, paid Priority Mail to get it, atleast now I can get working when both arrive.
So much for the free shipping over $100 with having to find & pay Priority from another supplier.
Called and told them Cancel the backordered fabric, and credit my account, they credited, but NOT the Full Cost, Really??? Have to CALL them again??? Rrrr!!!
Shorted my credit by $3+, asked what & why, aah...the Quilter's cash, loyalty discount from being a prior customer, applied this against my refund and shorted me.
They indicated it has to me manually fixed, mind you the 1st person I talked to said no problem, we will refund for the item we DONT have. - DID NOT HAPPEN, Glad I watch Refunds like HAWK.
Morale of the story, if you Need it ----make sure they have it in STOCK.
Or you will be disappointed like me.!! I Was Sooo excited to start on this quilt next week, and use Jenny's tutorial to make my 1st quilt for my son. Been planning this for over a month. Now I am aggravated, frustrated and it will be the quilt I will remember as the 8 Day Quilt. Hoping everything arrives as I have put aside time, planned to do this next week.

Wanted to post this so these issues can get fixed, not a good business practice. I know things happen, we are human, but these are elements that can make a customer NOT RETURN, especially if a company is Unreliable & No Communication. Hopefully this gets researched to find out WHO & WHY this happened--???? Someone or more Dropped the Ball!

I absolutely love learning from Jenny but really need a tutorial on ironing my patches the correct way and I'm also having a hard time making the squares I cut out , to be really square and the same size when I fold the yardage in half---could you just do a tutorial on these items? PLEASE!

I've been purchasing fabric for my online shop, Aspen and Oak, for about a year. I live close to Hamilton and love to visit these shops and have been blown away with the selection! The prices are competitive with the online stores I was purchasing from. I recently bought some fabric from MSQC online and the customer service is .. wow!! You guys are my new "go-to" fabric store!! Like nowhere else can you get this kind of service and selection!!

Love Jenny and her tutorials! I LOVE the selection of pre-cuts and her templates at the online store! I ordered a bunch of items and received the faster than two other larger online company's. The selection is second to none. The prices are very fair. And if you spend $100 you get free shipping... or if less then its only 5 bucks. By the way, you cannot blame MSQC for the UPS getting packages 'stuck' in Kansas. They have no control over UPS. No you won't get your order as fast as Amazon Prime, but you get a better price on most items than Amazon and you are supporting a small, local business who offers quilting tutorials for FREE! Usually online quilting tutorials run up to $40. So, exercise patience.

I took my wife here as a treat (she was a new quilter back then) and she loved it. I found it equally as amazing. There were numerous shops and each one delt with something specific to quilting. The classes are difficult to get into because they are so popular.
There is even a cave (can't call it a man cave because men quilt also. There wives do not and it gives us quilting widows and widowers some place to go and hang out.) It has recliners, several TVs, pool table and soft drinks.
There is a little restaurant there with indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are fair. Food was great.
If you or someone in your life quilts or sew's, take them there.
We had a family quilt retreat here. This is a great venue. Great atmosphere, kitchen available and the accommodations were great. Bedrooms had between two and five or so twin beds depending on the size of the room. Six bathrooms with showers upstairs and two downstairs. Very clean. Fun to go fabric shopping in the area too. We will do it again!!
The people here are SEW friendly!!! And the town is beautiful. It has such a leisurely atmosphere. You'll love it here!

I placed an order Feb.24. I received one item from my order.I have called customer service and left a message and received no reply.I have also sent emails three times which also go unanswered.I am very frustrated.I would like to know the status of my order.
It will be one month Mar.24 since I placed my order and have still not received it. I cannot seem to get an answer from anyone as to why I have not received it as of today. I spoke with a customer service person this morning and she couldn't give me an answer.SHE SAID SHE WOULD GET BACK TO ME AND HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD. I sent an email to Heidi and haven't had a reply from her either.What is the problem????
I finally found out what the problem was. I called the company and someone named Stacey returned my call.She investigated the problem and found that the fabric was out of stock.Thank you Stacey!!!! I should have been contacted much sooner when the knew they couldn't fill my order.
Lovely stores. Great staff. Great assortment. The only downside of having fabric in 12 stores is that it is that you can't match fabrics without buying them and then taking them to another store (unlike a large quilt shop where you can wander around and find things to match without being committed to a purchase)

Purchased the daily deal while purchasing price changed $15.00 more! Did not show item was sold out. Then wouldn't let me cancel order. Don't get caught in the dirty daily deal scandal.

Hubbys checked out ManLand but eventually realized we only came back to dump off more purchases (sacks)... ha ha... And then they decided to seek us out.
Now I just need to find patterns to go with my charm packs and layer cakes. The rest of today and most of tomorrow will be spent sewing.

Fun to visit, but they are not so great when it comes to quilting the quilts. They messed up on a lot of quilts that were sent in by my mom and sisters. Sometimes they have glitches in their system that causes transactions to mess up.
MSQC was just as amazing, as I imagined. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The fabric selection was wonderful. I would go back again. Fun! Fun!

Wow, only thing we couldn't find was a selection of different zippers (we found a lot a bag zippers about 12'~)and stuffing. But seriously EVERYTHING Else you can find here. And TBH we probably just missed the place where they were.
There with my wife, she had a great time. I relaxed Quilting not my thing. Not much to do for guys. If you and need a good hotel at a good price nearby in Cameron. Check out The Acorn Inn Sure Stay by Best Western. Twelve miles away, please don't looks fool you. Very clean, quiet and comfortable.
So many stores and so many neat fabrics to choose from. Plus everyone working at all of these stores are so nice and helpful.

I recently had a quilt top machine quilted by Missouri Star Quilt Company and am very very pleased. The quilt looks beautiful, service was excellent, and the quilt was returned to me with obvious care. And the price was reasonable. I will definitely be sending my larger quilts to Missouri Star Quilt company.

Missouri Star Q Co. is about half an hour away for me (rural area) so it has become my go-to place for my quilting needs. I never have to wait for help. I was there a few days ago, needed something specific, and they had two associates cheerfully helping me find what I needed. I went away happy and with no time wasted. I was impressed that they were able to look up my past purchases with color swatches in view on the computer! There is no question of why Missouri Star now is reviving the downtown Hamilton area and meeting with such success---they know that customer service is key, and they provide it, top-notch!
I can not say enough good things about this place. Organization in each and every store, prefect for finding the just the right tool, fabric, or precuts. Awesome attentive staff. Do the free tours you won't regret .
