So much variety ... Lots of fun ... Glad we stopped
Best day trip for years. Love the shops and great and friendly people.
Had a wonderful day with my mom exploring the shops and looking at all the quilts.
Oh my what an adventure! Every quilter deserves to go! So friendly and so much shopping ! An ALL day adventure. Even has a Man cave for hubbies to relax.
My experience from the website and the video are very very good and for that I thank you
I am having an incredible time with Missouri Star Quilt Co. I NEVER order material on the internet as I love to feel it, but I have to tell you...my experience with this company is absolutely A+. I am learning from the tutorials as well. Right now, I'm making a Orange Peel Quilt (the video was awesome) that I am in love with. Thank you so much for quality material and great videos.
This was my fourth visit to MSQC and I was so excited to come back, but was stunned by how much less fabric was available at each store. In past visits it had been easy to pick out fabrics for projects but this time the selection was so much poorer. I walked out of the Primitive Store with nothing but disappointment, a first for me as I had loved that store in past visits. I had a similar experience in the Batiks, Solids, in fact every one of the stores! I was truly disappointed. MSQC had been my favorite destination for fabric shopping, but after this experience that is no longer the case. Please reconsider your decision to downsize your retail fabric selection so drastically. That selection is what made it so fun, and my purchases so large, in past visits.
I like visiting here and enjoy the vast
selection of fabric, books and patterns.
Very friendly and helpful workers. Love the variety of fabrics.
Beautiful fabric. No customer service, can't get anyone on the phone and they do not return email or phone calls.
I love all the tutorials; would like to know what 'foot' Rob used on post card';;;for satin stitch;;;never seen one like that but living in Lockesburg Arkansas (pop 711) you don't see much. I order much off the internet. Beth
A fantastic experience. Each staff member over the course of escorting a bus load of quilters was pleasant. Thank you Hamilton Missouri!
What a fun place this is! There are 7+ stores to go through with all kinds of fabric, notions, patterns, and more! My favorite store is Penny's Quilt Shop because they have all the solids, blenders, minky, & more. This place is a must see especially if you are at all familiar with the Missouri Star online presence. My mother and I stopped for this adventure on a cross country road trip and we were not disappointed! It was even better when we found out that if you spend over $100 (which of course we did) they ship your products home for you for free! How fun! The fabrics were actually really good prices and they had a TON of beautiful precuts.
What a delight! This is a wonderful day trip from KC. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were lucky enough to visit when the high school was having their homecoming parade. Featured were not only the band, floats and the king and queen, but also Jenny Doan! What a treat. Can't wait to go again.
If you quilt you have to go here! They are online also but it sure is fun to browse their shops. They have lots of retreats if you are coming from out of town. Room and board is included in their pricing.
Way too much money can be spent on quilting stuff, but once you get here you can just stay a month, get it all, and save gas. There just isn't anything you need that they don't have.
I love going there. Friendly help and plenty of product to choose from
Awesome!!! We spent all day here and it was wonderful!!
When I've ordered online it always takes forever to receive. In the stores, the selection and service is always amazing! All the different stores is a neat concept, but because they don't all connect, makes shopping sometimes frustrating.
I've never been there but hope to go soon! Sounds like it is right up my alley.
This is an amazing place. These people have done a fantastic job. Wonderful stores and such friendly and helpful people. They go out of their way to help you with your shopping experience. Very knowledgeable. This is a must place to go for any quilter. It is a small town with lots to see!!
I have ordered many items from MSQC and love them all! Love the tutorials. Great place to learn and shop!!
Brilliant idea to build a place for husbands to relax while their wives shop. He was happy and I could look through all the beautiful shops.
An awesome town with friendly people! Loved every minute I spent ther!
Exceptional service ladies worked very hard during 10th Birthday Bash, but were still smiling and helpful. Enjoyed it very much!!
Awesome experience. Staff was very helpful. Projects to work on for the summer!! Totally loved it and will definitely go back.
I had an awesome experience. Staff from each of their shop went out of their way to help me. I can't say enough about the friendliness I was shown. Definitely will be back.
Always great to visit. Very helpful and friendly staff!
Ordered some fabric for my Grandma on Sept 26th. It is now October 8th, and I haven't recieved it yet. I've tried calling them: no answer. I've tried sending a message: no answer. I have no idea where my order is because I have no tracking number. My Grandma needed this fabric in order to get her quilt for my cousins christmas present done, and at the rate this is going, it won't be done on time most likely. I am very irate about this. Not once have I ever had something I've ordered go almost 2 WEEKS without recieving it. This is rediculous.
I visited only once in person on a bus trip from Seward, NE. I fell in love! What a perfect place to be for a brand new quilter. I am so happy for everyone in Hamilton. Thank you for doing all the things you do!
Destination trip from St. Louis MO in just under 4 hours was everything I wished for after following on Facebook.
You'll want to experience this for yourself! Friendly staff and huge selection spread through many buildings. Make sure you get or have your Missouri Star pass for more shopping fun. There are even other types of shops for home decor, food, and an entire shop of recliners, TVs, and vending machines for the menfolk who aren't as interested in the shopping, although there is a sitting area in most of the shops. PS. don't miss the shop with the fudge!
Very disappointed that you wouldn't cut fat quarters, guess I will take my business elsewhere
My sister and I spent 3 days this week in the Hamilton area. We were surprised to find the store under construction, but pleasantly surprised by all of the stores that were full of beautiful fabric and supplies. All of the staff was very helpful and pleasant. It was "sew" enjoyable. We came home with several new projects, tons of fabric and some awesome memories!
Very pleasant experience! The clerks were nice and helpful. Great burgers for lunch. My husband enjoyed sitting under the trees in the park while I shopped. Win, win.
Awesomeness in every store. I will be back. Such friendly people ..
Great experience with a country mercantile feel glad I went, but still love local quilts stores
If you love quilting or just love to look at beautiful fabrics and finished quilts, this is definitely the place to come. Almost the entire downtown of Hamilton MO is shops and stores devoted to quilting. Eveything you could possibly dream of related to quilting is here. Fabulous! Well worth the drive.
People are very friendly, lots to check out. Lots of ideas.I love JENNY.
As always had a fantastic time! It was busy with 3 tour busses, but didn't feel crowded. Employees were all nice and courteous. Loved my time there.
If you love to quilt or craft you will enjoy this cluster of shops, each housing different types of fabric such as florals, reproductions, licensed etc. It was so nice to see high quality fabric and I felt they had reasonable prices. My husband even enjoyed this stop.
Beautiful selection, pleasant customer service, timely delivery. This company is a gem. The prices are good and the Daily Deals are something to look forward to each day. Glad I discovered Missouri Star Quilt Company while watching quilting tutorials. Great experience all around!
Awesome quilt stores!! Lots of individual stores with their own theme.. Plan to spend lots of time browsing.. You won't be sorry...
Fabric selection is incredible but the customer service sucks. There is no reason for an order of PRECUT fabric, a fat quarter bundle to take more than 48 hours to ship. This is the slowest shipping fabric seller that I have dealt with. I'm sure they mean well but from what I am being told on their chat line it will be mid week NEXT WEEK before a simple precut order is shipped. Simply ridiculous.
I just want to say all employees were extremely kind and went over and above helping me.
Kudos to Stephanie, Annette, Cheryl, Jeanie
Sorry if I spelled names incorrect.
Well trained staff. Knowledgeable.
Thank you!!
The ultimate wonderland for quilters
All the fabrics all the colors my wife went crazy
Love this place so many things to see. People are great.
The staff is always friendly and Willi g to help. There are tons of inspirational projects.
We drove in for the day. It is a quilter's must see experience. 13 shops. Something for everyone. Every employee was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I got quite a bit of fabric. I got the charms too.
Everyone should make at least one pilgrimage to Hamilton, Missouri to visit the Missouri Star Quilt Company stores. The staff is well-informed and eager to assist. The selection of fabrics is incredible!
Great selection and staff. Sheri one of their employees was extremely helpful and so friendly. It was a great experience!
It's everything I imagine and more! I wish I could move there.
Awesome place to shop, for lots of different Fabrics
Oh my what a time I had. Missouri Star Academy! All time favorite!
Biggest sewing "store" I ever saw! It seems like two-thirds of the downtown is occupied by the place!
Great little town, stores are darling and fabric awsome
My husband and I made a side trip to see the wonderful selection of quilt stores. We were amazed at the selection of everything. On our way home, to Canada after visiting family, we had to stop by again for another visit. I came away from both visits with a renewed interest in finishing all of the UFOs I have and anxious to start many more projects.
I ve been ordering fabric from MSQC for a couple of months now. I couldn t be more pleased with the service I have received. My orders have been filled very promptly. And I m also planning a trip to their store this fall.
Check out the online video tutorials, they are fabulous!
Evrything I thought it would be, AND MORE! The fabric selection is unbeatable, and the service is phenomenal!
I've been a customer for about three years. I've always recieved good quality, beautiful fabrics. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
The stores are all amazing. Fabric selections are beyond imagination. The staff is most helpful and considerate. Jenny is accessible and willing to visit with the patrons. What a phenomenal experience.
Excellent! Every quilter needs to see this town at least once. Kind, happy and gracious people!
Loved the side adventure of our road trip through Missouri from SC back to my home in Wyoming.... visiting all the unique little shops that were individualized but all part of the Missouri Star Quilt Company...and of course, I found and bought more fabric and yardage to add to my volume of fabric stash ... (LOL) ... I loved it ALL!!!!!!
If you haven't been you must go! Be sure to stop at the antique and wine shop, and the Farmhouse too! Eat at the hamburger joint. You won't be disappointed!
Awesome place! It's a quilters dream town. Husbands are taken care of in Man's Land aka man cave with comfortable seating for resting eyeballs and watching TV and playing pool. Keep in mind stock is lower in slow season.
Love this store! I'm from Oklahoma so I don't get to visit very often but I have relative that live in Cowgill MO so we go to Missouri star everytime we visit! I'm able to order online though and if I have a quilting question I go to the Missouri start website/tutorials and I've always gotten my questions answered! Thanks Jenny and staff!
Lovely small town feel of quilting heaven! Great people, food and shops. Had a terrific lunch at Hank and Tanks, yummy BBQ.
i got my treasures today... wow wee.. fast ... the only thing is i have not the time to do all the videos... so i take them to work i listen to them in the car... on vacation and in bed... my wife has told me to move out and i sad sure let me seen if there is room at MSQC.. lol i will work for fabric... laying all aside we both love doing our crafts and love that this place and planning our next trip out ..... thank you Jenny.... i love to quilt with my mom and she has taught me sew much.... each stitch is with love and a prayer.... every Thursday my mommy and her sisters and i quilt and watch you... making quilt and memories that will last a lifetime... thank you for helping speed it up ...... everything you do is sew cleaver and sew much fun... sew for now thank you and look forward to shopping and finding a place to hide my stash... lol
The workers are friendly and very helpful.i drive over an hour to get what I need and they don't have it. I come home and I could get it if I order it on line. My problem with this is when I ask the employees if they have it this info is not available to them on their computers and if it is I have to wait three hours to bring it up from the wearhouse. Seems to me that since this is a "small town" business that someone could walk an item over from the wearhouse to the store in less than three hours time or I could go to the wearhouse and purchase the item that I need in less than an hour time.
