Very helpful and easy to talk with. Learned a lot more from the staff here about what was available in the local area than I was able to find through google and other online research. I recommend all visitors to come here because there is likely something that you will find of interest that you did not know about previously.

Visit Svalbard
The staff is very friendly, but the visitor center is too small, and there is no one in it.
Very nice, and good advices, they will spend a lot of time with you to explain you everything until you have a very clear vision about what to do on the island.
They do not help them, but you have to book the computer trips yourself ... as if you were at home
Svalbard is awesome. Make sure to book tours in advance.
Very friendly tourist information. You also get a stamp in your passport.
Very helpful and friendly. Has good variety of activities to offer as well as gifts. Open from 10a.m. to 4p.m.
very nice staff - at the end of the world - near the north pole - caution - polar bears ;-)
I just took a map of the city. Many people but little service
Very poor in paper documentation on local activities. Feeling of disturbing.
More a souvenir shop than a conventional tourist information
The visit is a must if you are on Spitsbergen, suitable for large and small walks, further recommended
Lovely staff, helpfull, experienced and not "money-driven"
Spitsbergen is special but impressive in its own way
All you need to know about the archipelago, trip bookings and souvenirs shop.
In January 2020 I booked a 4-day photographic expedition by snowmobile through a guide from Visit Svalbard (Oddgeir Sagerup, SEE & Explore AS). Unfortunately in mid March the Norwegian authorities blocked access to Svalbard. From this point onwards my calvary began. I informed the guide that I could not reach the island and requested the cancellation of my trip. He always refused, forcing me to cancel on my side and imposing a 50% penalty on the advance paid at the end of January. I would have been satisfied with 80% of the costs, but not 50% as they imposed. In addition, Mr. Sagerup, always confirmed the tour when it was clear that you could not stay, despite the impossibility to reach Svalbard. In short, after numerous fruitless e-mails, I contacted Visit Svalbard, who answered me evasively to my request, and then disappeared without giving me an answer. In conclusion, Visit Svalbard and SEE & Expolore AS, have a poor financial reliability, they lack the insurance coverage typical of tour operators and are very uncooperative. BE CAREFUL TO ADVANCE MONEY FOR EXCURSIONS, THEY ARE UNRELIABLE, DISHONEST AND IN THE MOMENT OF DIFFICULTY THEY DISAPPEAR WITHOUT ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS!!
No cycle for tourist, no real help but the free map which I can find anywhere.
It is convenient for passengers to take tourist information of the area.
The place Longyearbean is manageable. But for extreme hiking tours probably a good starting point.
Very well equipped Magnificent attention to the public.
1.2 employees seemed disinterested in helping. 2. As well as missing info on tour booking. Three days before a boat trip we booked in. The day before the trip we received an email that the trip was canceled due to too much ice. That risk belonged to nothing about when we booked. The trip is expensive and the money is non-refundable.
Place to organize your stay in svalbard and get all of your tours booked. The staff is very helpful and can answer all of your questions.
Meh. Not much here of any help. The internet is far more informative and helpful. Even the hotel receptionist is better than this place. Maybe they were tired and about to close. I recommend asking your hotel reception anything you want to know
That was a bad experience. The lady in the tourist office asked me, when asked about things to do on Svalbard, if I ve seen their website, and that I should just go there (in a sense: go to the website and don t bother me). She was dismissive and on a edge of being rude. If you want to know something about activities on Svalbard and want to talk to a person, go to a reception at your hotel. Don t visit the rude lady.
