I have worked here for over a month and my experience has been nothing but positive. Both trainers I had were very friendly and helpful. The working environment is comfortable. There's a few different departments so if you don't like one you can transfer to another but you would have to go through some more paid training. Tons of room for advancement. The training is extensive and everyone I talk to is impressed by the amount of paid training they give to each employee... and the people I work with are fun and amazing to work with.

!!!WARNING!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. i worked in this hell hole for 1 year. You might've seen all the bad reviews for this place mixed in with some good reviews. let me assure you those bad reviews are not even the tip of the ice burg you might be better off working at McDonald's rather than working in this place. you probably applied to work in this place and you definitely got a call to come in for an interview and they most definitely hired you. Now this is where it all begins... first they train you for 3 weeks in class and 2 weeks on the floor ( call center floor). you start off as a MST (MEMBER SERVICES) advisor. in a nut shell you are taking calls anywhere between 350-600 calls a day nonstop providing directions and answering questions for 9 and a half hours a day. Now your supervisors ( ALSO KNOW AS TL'S) keep an eye on you all day long like a prisoner and they are probably the rudest and the most pompous individuals you'll ever meet, if you have a question, concern or need help they will not do anything for you and simply brush you off. The calls themselves you'll get some nice members but a good 80% of the time you'll get the rudest calls, either people cussing out at you or simply being extremely rude. After 2-3 months of you being in MST(Member services) they'll transfer you to a sales department where you welcome new members to onstar, try to get a credit card from them and get a sale, you do need to keep up with your sales numbers which btw are not clearly explained on which calls count towards your sales and which don't, through the entire time you work in this place you are kept in the dark, management does not care about you what so ever the supervisor are rude and don't give a damn about you. so take the advice and run as far away from the place as possible and save yourself the anxiety, the depression and mental stress from working in this place. Their turn over rate is high for a reason and the above are the reasons why. i started out my 1st training class with 24 people by the end of 4 months i was the only one out of my class that remained. my 2nd training class for the sales line of business i started my training with 18 people and around 2-3 months everyone in my training class had quit as well and i was the last one remaining again. if you do take the chance to go on ahead and work in this place. best of luck and may god give you the strength to endure this place.
Best employer I've ever had. Very positive, encouraging, employees-friendly, SAFE environment, from human resources to co-workers to support staff and supervisors, Concentrix is "home away from home". It gives a sense of belonging. BE SAFE OUT THERE! Thank you!
Horrible workplace. Avoid this place at all costs. They try to make it sound nice but the company as a whole as well as managers and supervisors don t care about any of the employees, the turnover rate is so high because of this.
The job not difficult but if you have no children and no life, its a perfect place to work because they will give you all the shift that ends at 1 am and you will never get a weekends nor holidays. even if you work the holidays you must work the full shift the day before and after to get the holiday pay.
Basically their clientele are car owners from Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama etc. So basically you are handling the bubba redneck types with directions and customer service. That pretty much helps sums up the type of abuse you put up with. "are you American?" etc. You are never allowed to hang up. Very controlled environment where rules keep changing and the pay is $12.50. You also have to do sales. (They keep changing their minds) Not worth the mental stress and abuse. If you live in Oshawa and sound American/canadian , it's a decent job till you find something. If you're an immigrant forget it.
Worst place to work in the world. Worked with Amex and quit after a 4 days on the floor. Then they held my ROE for 6 months and delayed my mat leave application with service Canada. Way too stressful to be screamed at on the phones all day. Thank god I got out.
Great place if you're looking for hours. Awful place if you're looking to grow. Management is mean; and most of the time don't listen. Unpaid accommodations and it's a struggle to get them. It's 24 hours so you're guaranteed 3 weeks of training and work afterwards. But after about 3 months the anxiety, stress, and just plain mean customers will wear you down. Management don't work with you and blame you as the result for any problems you might have. Also, unpaid holidays after quitting and no severence. So all in all; I worked there for 2 years and I wouldn't refer anyone to work there longer then a few weeks...which is the training
Horrible place if you dont own a car. The work is fine the job is fine the employers are not. They will schedule you for a shift where you cant get home. Aparently all the buses stop at 11pm even tho most jobs stop at 1am they do not care if you cant get home safe.i was told they are open from 6am to 1am so 2 hours after the bus vloses they have lots of people that work there with care but they rather put the ones without on the late shifts. This place is in the middle of nowhere a decent drive threw trees and no other businesses. If you have to leave after 11pm and you dont drive they will try to tell you to carpool with people you have never met on your first day. Id really like to work here but the ignorance to saftey is just horrible. If you have no care and value your saftey do not work here. They only care for themselves they are not a family.
Ok place to work if you need it. Used this to coast by until i landed something else. My only complaint is the scheduling. I needed a day off for a dr appointment and let them know weeks in advance. They still scheduled me to work that day and acted as if they didn't know. I had to call in sick that day and they got upset because apparently even my call in didn't work.
Horrible support through Covid19. Majority of the employees can still work from home but a few of them are forced back in the building. When you try to sit further away from others to distance/protect yourself since people in this building don t wear masks all the time, management tells you you aren t allowed. We have a positive covid case in the building just a few rows from us and they still won t allow us to work from home even though majority of the others are still working from home. They will threaten to fire you over any little matter even when they have no grounds. That s hiw they keep employees in check.
Zero perks, no pay increases, benefits are minimal. Don't make friends..it won't last. Tools to perform tasks are week at best. Different policies for different offices vary so don't expect any consistency. No union, zero say and minimum required by law is given. Therefore, you will never have a say, they will leach all they can out of you until you can't take it anymore. Trust NO ONE!
I would not ever recommend that anyone ever work here unless you enjoy being constantly harassed and bullied. Upper management is very abusive and they do not care about you. They are very unprofessional, They don't care if you have specific schedule needs they will schedule you for what works for them. Never ever work here if you want what is best for you
The office environment is nothing short of Toixc. Like a bad episode of a high school drama. Not a day goes by where there isn t complaining about something or someone! Needs a major US intervention.
I worked here for 4 to 5 months and they left me in training. The lobby is the only nice part all the call center rooms look like a decrepit basement it's literally disgusting the carpets are gross. None the less I left because of its poor maintenance and its poor standards for employee services
Great place to work, the food in the cafeteria is decent. The overall appearance of the building is nice and a good location with a view of the lake in Oshawa
Great facility. A bit remote, thank goodness there is a bus route. Bring your own food or drink and other convenience cos there is no store within 3km of the facility.
I will describe this job as......SLOOWWWWW DEATH PROCESS....slavery ....no life...depression...worst management, treat employees like slaves or worst.....
Talent acquisition: weak system, don t know who to hire! Unprofessional system! Just give hopes to candidates, but don t even tell candidates that they can t hire you for any reason.. they won t just tell you what they are upto! Literally no interpool system!
Was excited when I got the job thought it was such a great oppurtunity. Training was great got paid to learn how to work there. However when we got up on the floor most of what we learnt wasnt able to be applied. Their hours are long and not much notice on change of schedule. You work the most crappiest of hours because you "need to gain senority" and work weekends and holidays. You are unable to request time off and have them ACTUALLY TRY to accomidate you.
Make sure you arrive an hour before shift because its impossible to find any seating and if you cant find seating or you have computer issues they will deduct your pay as if you were late. They dont provide lockers for coats or bags but complain if your stuff is with you on their "visitor" days.
Most the staff has massive attitudes which makes it impossible to even look forward to going into work.
They promise a better tomorrow but it just runs off favorites.
I dont recommend this to anyone AT ALL...but for the 3 weeks of training its good :)
Essentially like working in a sweatshop. Minacs forces you to work 9.5 to 12 hours five days a week against your will. They will lie to you and say it isn't a sales job, but then yell at you and criticize you constantly when you don't meet their sales expectations (which are ridiculous). The calls mostly consist of you being yelled at by unhappy, unreasonable customers all day, which wouldn't be so bad if the management actually gave you proper training, but they don't. Management does not promote the hard workers who try their best; they promote their favourites. You can work there for years and still be at the bottom level while some new person gets promoted after three months. It's incredibly frustrating. As others have stated, welfare is a much better option than working here. They exploit desperate people and treat them terribly. The worst place I have ever worked. I felt so much relief after I left.
Do not work here unless you want to have no life and work 9-12 hour shifts per day, 5 days a week while being constantly yelled at no matter what you do. It's awful. It's run just like a sweatshop and all of the supervisors are bitchy. This is your warning to stay far away. Plus they will hire anyone. You need no skills to do this but to be able to type. It's a mindless job.
Terrible place to work..you are forced to work shifts where the hours change literally everyday...unpaid breaks, constantly taking calls with no time to catch ur breath...I remember one week I had like 15 minutes in washroom breaks and they asked me to try n get that down...gotta take elevator to get outside so if you smoke your whole coffee break is one smoke plus travel time... cafeteria food is not bad though...only decent thing is training...so just work 3 weeks of training and quit... otherwise after 6 months and you are burnt out they will fire you just before your medical benefits kick in
Worked here for 2 months while it was minacs, horrible place.
its like slave work, monitor how long you are in the washroom and work work work work work, anything more than 30 seconds over your slotted time you get written up.
management fills you up with false hope of this big pay cheque but it takes years of slaving doing telemarketing to get there.
location is very isolated as well you don't have time to even get away for lunch.
Looks like you are all talking about Concentrix Onstar. You should state this in your post people. If you are going to complain, be honest about which division you actually work for. Concentrix is a great place to work but it depends on why you are there. I love working at my division up the street. Its fun and they do care about their people. Sure. You have stats to maintain. Thats how ALL companies make money. Lots of room to grow in this company but you have to do some time first just like any other company. Anyways, maybe it isn't a job for some people and thats ok. Thanks for reading some honesty. J
Great place to work, people give it a bad wrap since they lack discipline. but by understanding why things are a certain way I've come to grips with it and iv'e been way more happy for it
