This review concerns the initial eval and how the results can affect you. The class is mandatory; continued counseling is not.
You'll be asked a series of questions, first written, then oral.
The evaluator asks questions from a template and enters your responses. This is not about his/her opinion, "professional" or otherwise. It's about a result based on data entered from your answers. For the purposes of the eval, what you say is fact.
Your responses are entered into an algorithm. Don't rush to answer. Better to answer slowly and deliberately than blurt out something carelessly; there's no penalty for hesitating, and the evaluator cannot deviate from your responses. Be clear and concise.
Here's an idea of the questions with possible responses:
How many hangovers have you had?
None. Ever.
Has drinking ever caused you to miss work?
Never. No.
What percent of your friends consider drinking necessary to have fun?
About 10%. Very few.
On a percentage scale of 1 to 100, what percent of "having fun" do you associate with drinking?
Maybe fifteen.
How much alcohol do you have to drink before you feel the effects of it?
Half a glass of wine (or half a beer).
Have you ever previously driven a car under the influence of alcohol, even just "buzzed"?
No.
You get the idea. Any information you volunteer that suggests you have any history of habitual drinking will trigger an order for continued counseling.
Consider your responses carefully and you will control the outcome.

The counseling department pretty much screws you over by "RECOMMENDING" and "REQUIRING" you to further counseling, which is all part of a grand scheme. They will "recommended" you to further counseling if you disclose any information about your personal life that involves Alcohol. This place is FULL OF CROOKS!!!! The only review they have is from someone who obviously works or owns the place...
