My first surgery was completed with a very competent and professional team with Dr. Nam I have a Another surgery scheduled and having no qualms about the second one being done actually looking forward to having it done with the same great team

Great all around experience. Took the time to listen and answer all questions. Had a total knee replacement. Dr. Nam and his staff did an excellent job. Pain free for the first time in years. His PA, Kristin Mayer, also did a fantastic job of responding to me and answering any questions I had.

Dr. Williams and his staff are professional and friendly. They made me feel very safe and comfortable throughout my surgical proceedure. The level of care I received was outstanding. The outcome of my surgery has been very good.

My initial experience with Midwest Orthopedics was in the late 90s as a result of a distal bicep rupture. Dr. Romeo did a masterful job repairing the injury then and, nearly 20 years later, did a an equally laudable job repairing a rotator cuff injury. Most recently, In early 2018 I developed a shoulder issue as a result of arthritis. I sought and received the best possible medical advice. After an In depth interview with Dr. Garrigues it was decided that, considering my physical expectations, I should undergo arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Garrigues has in every way met the standard of excellence I have come to expect from Midwest Orthopedics. I sincerely hope that nobody needs surgical intervention. If you do, however, you could not be in better hands than those of Dr. Garrigues and Mid O. I fully expect to be back in the gym able to do a creditable "Murph WOD" as a result Dr. Garrigues' expertise.

A well oiled machine surrounds a very knowledgeable, personable, and caring doctor.

I want to thank Dr hamid for stepping in and helping me with my ankle problems wish I would of found him first the first doctor george Holmes let me go seven months with out any results he let me go thru pain for seven months a golf ball size knot was on my ankle this dr george Holmes did nothing but let me suffer in pain so dr hamid step in did the surgery and im getting better every day thanks dr hamid if it wasn't for you I don't know what I would do u did a wonderful job god bless u

I ve heard nothing but good reviews and I probably would have given a better review if I actually got to see the Dr.
I spent a couple hours filling in the patient portal. Three hours round trip to get there and back. Two hours waiting there. $ for a co pay and $ for parking. The Dr was in emergency surgery. Shouldn t you have let me know or have me seen by another Dr?
I have to say that the assistant really took good care of me, as much as she could. She spent more time with me, listening to me, more than any other Dr I ve seen. Then referred me to a different Dr.
But in the long run, I m back to square one. They could of at least reimbursed me my co pay and parking.
I was so disappointed and frustrated.

I was well taken of at Midwest Orthopaedics, the place runs like a well oiled machine. Everyone is warm and friendly and caring. They were very very busy, so I had to wait for a while, but I was treated well by everyone. I would recommend it to my family and friends.

Dr. David Cheng is brilliant, highly professional and has a stellar bedside manner. He always makes me feel comfortable and confident that I am in the best of hands. I highly recommend him, for the best of medical care.

Rush Orthopedics is an amazing team of hard working people, it was the best hospital and medical experience I've ever had. Every single person I came into contact with was so friendly and I had to go to several appointments during the Covid pandemic so I was impressed even more. I never had to wait for my appointments, they were well organized, I never had any billing issues, my questions were answered, and I felt like I was really cared for as a patient. I also used the Rush Orthopaedics Physical Therapy in Lincoln Park and they were just as awesome. I highly recommended them.

Upon arrival to this orthopedic office(4th Fl), I was told I couldn t accompany a patient back to his appointment due to Covid. I explained to Rosie that the patient was disabled and needed my assistance. she proceeded to ask what was his disability, because he looked physically fine to her. In order for me to acccompy him I had to verbally tell her aloud what was wrong with him; I immediately followed with I should ve not have had to disclose that! This was especially upsetting as there were two other patients present that could hear me. I m certain there are acts or laws or even protocols that should make this interaction a bit more discreet. Needless to say, he was embarrassed as was I. Rosie wasn t empathetic or apologetic at all. She could have even tried to save face upon our departure, as she was still sitting there! Definitely won t be back!

Everyone was very attentive and professional. I felt at ease and it is clear they are all about their patients and genuinely care and know what they re doing.

Dr Singh spent less than five minutes with me. I was disappointed about that.

Dr Nho is the best! He fixed my muscle tears and I feel zero pain! I feel like I m 20 years younger!! Thank you Dr Nho! Sara and Leah are the best too! Great team

I had a 2;30 appointment, and I was seen at that time, not a lot of waiting, plus Dr .Nam went over all my options.

I went and saw Dr. SHANE NHO and Dr. JORGE CHAHLA. Both were outstanding. I highly recommend. I went and saw them at the Chicago office and the staff was fast and efficient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sporer at Midwest Orthopaedics for a number of years. He is an excellent doctor who has always listened very carefully to all my question and concerns. I would highly recommend Doctor Sporer and Midwest Orthopaedics.

I need hip replacement and have seen drs at other top ranked hospitals in Chicago. I read about Rush, did some more research and made an appointment with Dr. Levine. Even though it took awile to get it, it was well worth it. He explained more about xrays I'd brought from a different dr and hospital.than I'd originally received. We talked about my goals and plans and I walked away with a game plan I'm happy with. I appreciated his patience and thoroughness. I'm very pleased that I waited to see Dr. Levine.

Had a recent motor vehicle accident and was recommended to see Dr. Blomgren. Once I made my appointment, Dr. Blomgren was very professional, listened attentively to my concerns, prescribed additional testing which I could have done the same day in same building! I forgot to call for a follow up appointment so his office called me and worked with my schedule to set up appointment.
The only thing that was a little stressful was the verification of open claim with car insurance done by an outside company for Dr. Blomgren office and even then Dr. Blomgren office was willing to help me call the company. So overall, a great experience thus far.

Dr. Hamid is extremely professional and has an incredible bedside manner. He does everything he can in order to ensure that his patients get back to where they need to be in the time needed.

Excellent service blessed God for giving wisdom to Dr. Fernsndez and the other doctors.

I d heard great things from my neighbor about Dr. Berger s team prior to my first visit. The only thing that came close to a negative was this one misplaced errant thought. Am I on some kind of assembly line? Yes and no. The team is big. They handle a lot of people at one time. Each person on the team is a specific cog in the wheel. They each handle one area only and they do it thoroughly. They also do it with a very polite, pleasant, attentive, and sincere demeanor. The whole operation is well and thoroughly thought out. They service your needs at every level from beginning to end with your comfort and best possible outcome as the goal. Right down to beginning pain, side effects and symptom management BEFOR you arrive at the surgical center the day of your surgery. What better way to help your recovery than to be proactive about what your body is going to be going through, reacting to, and dealing with? They really focus on treating the person and not just the area being operated on. And they have organized their whole operation to do that effectively and efficiently for as many people as possible in the shortest period of time. Clearly, the less invasive approach Dr. Berger invented was motivated by a desire to help as many people as possible get the best outcome with the least amount of damage, discomfort, and pain. And he and the team are succeeding beautifully. So, the efficiency of process from beginning to end can, for a brief moment, seem like an assembly line. But, It s the best setup to help as many people as possible, to the absolute best ability, in the shortest amount of time that I ve ever seen. And it s set up that way from all the right motivations and for all the right reasons. I m grateful for the big, specialized team Dr. Berger has put together. Without them doing what they do so well who knows how long one would wait to have the surgery they need performed by the guy who s the best in the business? Dr. Berger is not only a talented genius, he s also clearly a talented leader to have put together such a superb team and such a highly focused process. It s the whole package. I m very grateful for every aspect of what Dr Berger and his team offer in his practice.

I am ecstatic with the care I received during my operation today, my consult earlier this week and (I m sure I will be) during my follow up. Not only was Dr Yanke amazingly talented, knowledgable and compassionate, but his team was as well. I ve met 4 staff members so far and every single one of them was just as great! Not only was this team phenomenal, but the nursing and anesthesia staff at rush oak park was fabulous as well. They could tell I was nervous and took extra time to explain the medications, procedures etc. I feel weird saying it, but had I not been in a hospital, I would ve thought I was at a spa. I was wrapped in warm blankets and catered too very well from beginning to end. Great experience! Highly recommend Dr Yanke and staff, as well as Rush Oak Park.

I was impressed that I was ushered through the x rays, placed in a room and the doctor arrived immediately.
This was my first time at Rush and I was impressed that my visit went so smoothly.
The doctor spent a good deal of time with me explaining my condition.

Dr. Hamid was great. Answered all my questions and put me on a plan for recovery for my ankle.

I went to Midwest Orthopedics to be evaluated for a fractured wrist requiring surgery. Their reputation for excellence is well known. However, if you choose to have care here, you should be aware that this is a center that is business forward and provider forward, and further, my experience was that my surgery was something that needed to be performed at their convenience versus mine. My surgeon Dr. Cohen is excellent- he provided great care and I'm glad he was my surgeon. However, the day before the the surgery, I received calls from Dr. Cohen's business office and the Gold Coast surgery center demanding that I pay for my surgery before the surgery even occurred. I have a good job and health insurance, but they said it was Midwest policy to have payment upfront, even if it put me in a financial bind. Dr. Cohen's business office told me, less than 24 hours away from my surgery date, that they would cancel my surgery if I didn't pay them the entire $2000 deposit for his professional fee. At least the Gold Coast surgery center offered a payment plan for the facility fee. Still, It felt like extortion. I am not sure why they wouldn't just bill my insurance and then I could pay whatever was left over, but they said that oer their policy, they had to demand payment and said that they would cancel the surgery without it.
If I had known about their business practices, I would have shopped around for another surgeon. I would say you should only choose care here if you can absorb their upfront costs. For me it totalled $4500 that they wanted me to pay or else they would deny me care- please keep in mind I had insurance, but they wanted this payment before billing my insurance. It literally adds insult to injury.

Dr. Matthew Colman and his entire medical team are so thoroughly professional, skilled, and personal. While a long surgery, Dr.Colman fully prepared me for the experience, as well as the post surgical recovery. I have the utmost confidence in him and am grateful for his expertise.

This was the worst medical experience Ive ever had. Do not waste your time seeing dr. Mark Cohen. He does not respect his patients or their time and pain. He does not let people speak and if you don't answer a question fast enough he takes it that your answer is no that you're not in pain where he's touching. It was the biggest waste of my time and I left there feeling like I was on trial for something and a prisoner instead of a patient who got hurt at work. He did not let me explain my symptoms or conduct a thorough exam. Just because you are a workman's comp physician does not mean that you should forget what being a physician is all about. This man needs training in compassion.

Best hospital and great staff. Dr Fernandez is a great doctor and very specific and very straightforward on what he tells you and he also explains everything very clear and in a way you can understand. ONE WORD I CAN DESCRIBE DR FERNANDEZ. AWSOME AND THE VERY BEST THERE IS. If you want to be in safe hands when it comes experience and dedication to his patients Dr Fernandez is the one you should trust.

Noone looks forward to going to the doctor but if you re fortunate enough to have Dr. Fernandez taking care of you, it makes it easier .

Dr Yanke and his team are very knowledgeable. As someone who hates going to doctors I initially didn't want to go but after I was glad that I did. For any orthopaedic related issue he is highly recommended.

DR Gerlinger was very personable and took his time to explain the procedure and total process for a hip replacement. The entire staff was very helpful and the process from check-in to X-ray to appt was very smooth and swift. Looking forward to getting new hip soon!!

I had cancer of my femur I had that removed also part of my quad muscle. Along with my knee cap. I had metallic tubing replacing my femur bone & an artificial knee installed. I am now going through Rehabilitation physical therapy. The surgeons at Rush ( Dr Alan Blank & Dr Steven Gitelis we're wonderful. I would highly recommend this Hospital along with these two orthopedic surgeons.

Had a completely unprofessional experience with Dr Lin s office. I had gone in for a fractured foot in 3 places for which I recieved a temporary cast. A week later the cast was removed for a brace that was put on by someone with no medical training in a store on the ground floor of the orthopedics building. This person at the store didn t even know why I was getting a brace for my foot but they were manipulating my foot in ways that left my foot in more pain than when I originally broke my foot. I then went back to Dr Lin s office where I asked the front desk to speak with a nurse, physician assistant, or any medical professional to answer a question I had or to check this brace to make sure it was correct for my injury. The physician assistant would not even come out for a minute to talk to me. Instead she called the front desk employee to tell me its fine . Furthermore I called when I left to get a referral to a new Dr and was told by the office manager that they were going to call me back with another Dr referral but of course I never received that call back.

Just a completely negative experience from all levels with in Rush orthopedics. The reason I am writing this review is because Dr Lin requested it and quite honestly I only saw him in passing so not really sure what his role is within Rush hospital.

Well organized along with exceptional care. I have only positive impressions of both the facility and Dr. Lin.

Dr. Cole was amazing. My son had a knee injury and he was able to squeeze him in so he may be able to salvage a little of basketball season. Dr Cole was great with my son and us.

Dr Cohen and PA Whitney and entire staff were kind and gentle and explained everything. I will definitely return to their office for treatment.

Quick response and very nice. I would recommend highly.

I really like Dr Holmes. He is very knowledgeable. I really liked the personalized attention that he gave me! I was so nervous about having the surgery that was recommended by another doctor. But Dr Holmes explained every aspect of my care. He also explained my vitamin D deficiency and what to do to take care of it. I can t tell you the appreciation I have for Dr Holmes! Thank you so much!

Last minute appointment was no problem. Office was crowded and still was able to see physician assistant in a timely manner and was not rushed during the appointment.

Dr. Ghannad was very friendly and professional. She explained thoroughly the process and the procedure. Her assistant Rachel was friendly and professional as well. I definitely would refer someone to her. She made me feel very at ease and comfortable.

Dr. Hamid has been great since day one. I tore my left achilles tendon on Aug. 2nd, saw him less than a week later and had my achilles repair surgery on Aug. 11th. After about 3 weeks of recovery(Sept 1), I am able to walk pain free(with the aid of a walking boot).

Scheduling is easy, check ups are weekly and I'm anxious to begin PT and walking without a boot.

Had a great experience with this facility and Dr. Verma was awesome. Wouldn t have wanted it any other way.

Dr. Weber is very experienced. I went to see her for my shoulder pain and she was able to pinpoint my issues right away. She explained everything in detail, and even came in when I was having an injection to show me through ultrasound image how the injection was working. The appointment did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Weber was very through and professional.

Had both hip joints replaced over the course of three months, back in 2016. I'm still pleased with the results. The entire staff in the office and at Rush Hosp were wonderful! *Dr Craig Della Valle is pretty awesome too! :-)

Dr. Berger of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush has performed three surgeries on me and each time he has been professional, compassionate and listens to my questions and concerns. I live in AZ which has plenty of doctors to choose from, but I firmly believe that Dr. Berger is worth every penny. He really is the best at what he does and wants you to be pain free and get back to enjoying life.

Dr. Holmes is very knowledgeable and personable. He answered all my questions and alleviated my concerns. He has a wonderful manner about him and I highly recommend him.

I was super nervous and anxious about my injury and wanted to avoid surgery if possible and Dr Verma and his team listen to me and made it possible. Thankfully surgery was not necessary. Sometimes more importantly is the ore and post care and interactions. All have excellent support systems, nurses and staff. This includes billing! Great response and communication. I have never walked out with doubt as to the diagnosis and direction.

Always (and planning on "only") the go-to for excellent medical care.

Had a very rewarding experience at Rush.Dr. Matthew Coleman Was very knowledgeable and had great bed side manners, taking time to explain what my problem was and how to address it.

Dr. Hamid has been excellent and really took the time to explain my injury in detail. I was recommended by another great doctor to go see him for a third opinion and after seeing him I m much happier with my decision to get surgery. He did not make a diagnosis without using all of the resources available to him and found some things that my previous two doctors missed in their xrays/evaluations. Would recommend Dr. Hamid to anyone dealing with and ankle/lower leg fracture.

I am a patient of Dr. Nho at Midwest Of at Rush. It was not easy to get an appointment with him, but it was worth all the hassel after my first visit with him! I had been in physical therapy for a year with my doctor here! The doctor iIwas going to even went as far to say I needed back surgery and set up a consult. I never felt it was my back and always my hip, but he would not listen or answer my questions. I got a second opinion from Dr. Nho and he listened and answered all my questions! Surgery was done on my hip!! His team is top notch too. Sara, Leah, and Joely all work great together! They have helped me with any issues throughout the entire process! I'm still recovering, but far better then what I was before surgery and going in the right direction! It is a 4 hour drive each way to see him and being a nurse with high expectations says alot! Worth the drive in the crazy busy big city!

The staff and physicians are outstanding. Dr. Joel Williams has been great and very knowledgeable. He is the best.

Very friendly and helpful, was attended quickly. Dr. Cohen is a great doctor, I felt comfortable the whole time. He was able to explain to me my dilemma with my thumb in a simple manner. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr Coleman is an excellent surgeon and a great person. He cares about his patients and takes the time to have a real conversation. When I walked in the building I asked the Security person to remind me what floor Dr Coleman is on. He told me and also said Great Doctor! Sums it up perfectly.

Frankly, I don t understand why people are saying such wonderful things about the service. When I was in the office and made comments about the phone system the staff agreed how bad it was. My story, as you can see, is not an example of excellent customer service.

Was referred to Dr Kern Singh several years ago for sciatica. At that time I was totally impressed by his attitude, explanation, service and efficiency. (He sent me right downstairs for an MRI, and right back 45 minutes later with results and a course of action.

Last year when I had some concern about another situation I decided to go back to him. However now it was in new facility with Rush.

I kid you not, it took over 30 minutes to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT between transfers and on holds and new operators. Due to timing and availability made an appointment 30+ days out with Dr Singh

Received a confirmation. When I showed up, they didn t have me in the schedule. Then they found me. Then a different doctor showed up in the exam room. I was surprised. I asked where was Dr Singh. He just told me seeing me. And if I want to change and make an appointment. Basically rude and abrupt. Went to neurologist for a consult.

3 weeks ago injured myself ice skating and was leaving for a warm weather vacation the following week. Could be sciatica turns not to be resolved yet (will be seeing someone else though).

Attempted to get in to see Dr Singh. Appointment process was much improved but way too long. Dr Singh is now only available for pre surgical appointments. Would I like to see someone else. I said yes but not the doctor I saw last time. They looked up and my record said I saw the PA Chris, who was at my original consult with Dr Singh. I said that is incorrect, I did not see Chris, saw someone else. Didn t matter, Chris was available and I made an appointment.

When I arrived at my new appointment. A PA came in. It wasn t Chris! I asked, and he said he was assigned to come in. I said that was not acceptable. I would like to see Chris. He left. 5 minutes later Chris came in. I asked that he check the notes from last visit Notes indicated that another Doctor was seen but Chris okayed it. (Contradiction from my phone conversation) it also said I was seen about sciatica. Which was not The reason for my problem that I was there for. Totally missed it in the notes

Chris was nice and listened well Called in prescription. However when I needed to refill one of the prescriptions, the communication thing got messed up again. They told me I needed to go to my PCP to get a refill. I am not in an HMO! I asked them to talk to Nurse again. It was immediately okayed. However, there were three times that I checked with pharmacy to see if it was called in and they did not get a call. I called doctor office twice and they said it was called in. Late the next day I went to pharmacy to check, still didn t have it. Pharmacy called in to office and we waited on hold for a relatively long time with people backing up. They put us on hold a couple time and then finally played order.

I have been a big fan of Rush. Saved my sons life 12 years ago. I have referred people to different partners. There are other good hospitals and doctors in Chicago. Needless to say Rush system is no longer my first choice.

Dr Forsythe is a great Orthopedic Doctor had 2 cortisone shots in my knees by him painless and they have a great staff

Dr. Verna is the top doctor in Illinois if not the country in when it comes to shoulder repairs.
My wife has had 4 consults prior to seeing him and no one could promise 100% to her. Dr. Verma repaired her rotator cuff back in May and she is at 100% now!
I also have few issues with my right shoulder and will not let anyone touch it except for Dr. Verna!

Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph was very pleasant, helpful & informative. I saw him because I tore my ACL and he gave me good advice & suggestions. At first he didn t recommend surgery. He gave me a few recommendations until I was ready to have surgery. You can definitely see that he genuinely cares for his patients. He was very easy going and listened to all my concerns. Definitely recommend him!

Dr. Johnny Lin is an outstanding doctor. Not only did I receive excellent care but his demeanor immediately puts you at ease. He is knowledgeable and understanding.

Dr. Wysocki and his staff went above and beyond to treat my son in following a severe finger injury. They were accomodating, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. They explained why taking the least invasive course of treatment would yield the best long term results. We never felt rushed, our questions were answered and my son felt confident and relieved after his consult.

I was seen by Dr. Verma for torn MCL, ACL and Meniscus.
I can not say enough about Dr. Verma's amazing personality and professionalism. He explained everything in detail and I never felt rushed.

Dr John Fernandez and his staff at Midwest Orthopaedics are absolutely amazing!!! The quality of care that i have received after 3 surgeries is indescribable! I wouldn't go anywhere else to receive care and would recommend this office to everyone i know. It's simply Top Notch medical care!!!

I had sliped on ice and severely damaged my right knee. Result was 6 injuries, 3 of which required surgery and a search for the best team of surgeons the country had to offer. Dear friends led me to Midwest Orthopedics at Rush and Dr Shane J. Nho, M.D., M.S. Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Surgery. Dr. Nho and his team had preformed incredible work and my results have been nothing less than amazing. At the time of injury, I had no idea if I would walk the same or what my results could ever be....I can honestly I am truly lucky, fortunate and blessed to have been led to Midwest Orthopedics at Rush and Dr Shane J. Loved Dr. Joel Williams. He was very thorough and showed lots of expertise. He also really took time with us to explain the procedure and answer all our questions. Not only is he very skilled, but he has fantastic bed side manner.
