The whole team was outstanding in every aspect of my care. From clinic visits to the surgery and recovery, they always took time to explain and answer any questions.

Dr Phillip's came HIGHLY recommended by a family member in the health care field. Hes obviously very talented and super busy. He addressed my issue and had a firm plan on how he wanted to proceed which was a relief However it would've been nice to have the dr walk in with laptop with my MRI on screen to show me what he sees and why I need surgery. His PA is amazing and she really took the time to answer my questions. I like no nonsense guys and I feel very confident heading up to my surgery date. Just thought when discussing a neck/spinal surgery he couldve been a bit more free flowing with info. . That being said, most super smart/talented/busy people who are in high demand have to be focused on efficiency
By far the best experience I've ever had with physicians. Highly recommended!
Dr. Nho and his staff are wonderful! They were very thorough and professional and were willing to spend the extra time to answer all my questions.
DOCTOR JOEL WILLIAMS .
I WAS VERY SASTISFIED WITH MY VISIT AT THE HOSPITAL OFFICE.
HE AND AN INTERN CHECK MY LEFT KNEE CAREFULLY WHERE I HAD PAIN AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LITTLE ARTHRITIS .
MY X-RAYS WAS FINE.
HIS RECOMMENDED THAT IT'S GOING TO GET BETTER WITH PHYSICAL THERAPY AND A LITTLE WEIGHT LOSS.
GREAT..NOW I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT MY SITUATION WITH MY LEFT KNEE..
THANK YOU..
TO DOCTOR JOEL WILLIAMS AND HIS OFFICE STAFF.
Dr. Hamid is an excellent surgeon and my experience has been good when I had my Achilles surgery in the summer of 2019.
He walked me through the full plan pre and post surgery. Highly recommend Dr. Hamid for Achilles surgery. He cares and provides the best care in the world.
Thank you!
I went to Midwest Orthopedics at Rush for a lower back injury where I was seen by Dr. Mathew Colman. I had been dealing with the pain for several months and was feeling incredibly discouraged. He could not have been more empathic or caring from when we first met to the time I returned to work. What a top notch human being. He explained thoroughly what my surgery would entail and left me with complete confidence that he would be able to help me. I could not be more grateful for him relieving me of back pain and making me feel normal again. Thank you so much, doctor!
Dr. Della Valle is a great surgeon who gave me back my mobility. I am truly grateful for that. His bedside manner is impeccable. He is present when he speaks to you and not running out the door. Go see Dr. Della Valle!
Been seeking treatment since 2015 and respect his expertise in the profession. Had two replacements and everything went well. What I m pleased with is any concerns, himself or a staff member is there to answer in a timely manner. .
Dr. Della Valle is a highly recommended Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Took the time to discuss my options and the pros and cons of each.
From arrival through initial consultation with Dr Gerlinger, couldn't have asked for a smoother ordeal.
First class organization.
I have had both of my knees replaced by Dr. Della Valle. He is a superb surgeon. Both surgeries were successful. His pain management is phenomenal. And as a nurse I can tell you Dr. DelleValle's staff is remarkably efficient! The whole program that is set up prior to surgery prepares you totally for surgery. And if you have any question before or after surgery his nurses are a phone call away. They are there to answer any concerns and never make you feel like you are bothering them. I would and I have recommended Dr. DelleValle and all have told me they were very impressed with him as well as his staff.
I know this will sound overstated, but Drs. Garrigues and Lotus were miracle workers for me. I crashed my bike hard in Spain, breaking my collarbone into four pieces - significant surgery was needed. The hospital in Spain suggested taking some ibuprofen and resting for three weeks. After sending my Xrays back to the US, several highly rated shoulder surgeons recommended immediate flight home and reconstructive surgery. I flew home four days earlier than planned and headed directly Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. Dr. Lotus coordinated everything and Dr. Garrigues reconstructed my clavicle - using a six inch screw that can be easily removed after three or four months in order to have a more natural final result. I know this part of the review will be the don t do that disclaimer from Dr. G, but within 24 hours of the surgery I was off all pain medication - I only used 12 of the 30 hydrocodone prescribed (happy to see the greatly lowered prescribed quantity - minor Achilles and knee cleanup surgeries in the past came with 80 pill scripts). He wanted me in the sling for the next few weeks, so do what he says. But the major concern coming out of surgery was keeping the sutures dry for the first five days. Well, I rigged up a fan and had it blow directly on my wound while I rode my bike trainer, with sling on, for 62 miles - two days after the surgery. I rode every day over the next week including 115 miles that Sunday. Yesterday, 12 days post surgery, a friend who has had a similar surgery, asked me if I was on major painkillers because I appeared to be 100% functional. He was seriously asking and seriously concerned. Once I promised him I hadn t even taken an Advil since the day after surgery he seemed to almost doubt the severity of the injury. Then I showed him the pics of post-crash pre-surgery, post-surgery and also the before and after surgery Xrays. This Marine was thoroughly impressed. People are blown away with how well this has gone (knock on wood) and Dr. G. gave me a lecture for being too aggressive with my recovery - he wants the best healing for me. That s why he s a genius. As long as I don t do anything stupid, I ll be back riding outdoors within six weeks of the surgery. In the meantime, I can t thank Dr. G and Dr. L enough. This is the must see group for busted shoulder.
Fractured my 5th metatarsal and Dr. Hamid along with the whole orthopedic crew and front desk staff assisted in making the whole experience as painless and expeditious as possible. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately the lead tech who always was prvoding the best patient care and customer service to everyone who walked through the door, is no longer there. I can tell the difference, its like night and day now. If front of house is off, it affects patient care and clinical care. Very disappointed Mr Ghorbanian is no longer part of the physician staff.
Only place to go. Best at what they do. Completely trust my health in their hands.
I ve been a patient of Dr. Lee for about 4 years now and he s been amazing in the treatment that I ve received.
Dr. Colman seems to be a competent and highly skilled surgeon. He was a good listener and answered my questions accurately. There is good chance that , if surgery indeed is needed, I will turn to him as my surgeon.
This was not my first visit to Midwest Orthopaedics but this was my first visit with Dr. Best. The office was nice and clean everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Best was very nice and made me feel comfortable. He took the time to go over my MRI and explain things to me very carefully. I also like how he asked my opinion on how I wanted to proceed with treatment for my issue.
Great staff and impossibly even greater doctors. Dr. Ghannad turned out to be one of the most accommodating and kindest doctors I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
My experience was that every element of my visit was well choreographed and impressively smooth. Everyone was attentive and exceptionally professional. Dr. Nho clearly has mastered his specialty and subspecialty.
My experience with my doctor at rush was very professional and courteous.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Best. He was professional and made me feel comfortable explaining my concerns. I felt like he took them seriously and we agreed on a treatment plan. I look forward to my follow up appointment.
Dr. Wysocki and the whole staff at orthopaedics was so incredibly nice and helpful! I dread going to the doctors office but had a broken finger and I was in and out of there in less than an hour. So professional, sweet, and truly caring! Thank you!
It felt like they cared. They spent the time needed to explain. I had very easy time with my shoulder replacement. The staff was excellent.
Rude, he did not care about me nor did he Listen to me.
Thank you for providing the high level of professional service.
Great place that take pride in they work inwhich makes me feel more than better to come out office knowing i been taken care of. Thanks
I highly recommend Rush. Dr. Matthew Coleman was candid, accessable and accurate in his assessment of my problem and the solution. Thank you.
I had a meniscus surgery, a month after I feel great, Dr. Verma and the team did an amazing job. I m happy to walk and to be back to the gym, I very highly recommend Dr. Verma!
The billing department is completely useless. I went on one visit that lasted 5 minutes and have spent hours trying to decipher what are they billing me for. After asking for my current address at least 3 times during my brief encounter with them, they still sent the bill to an address that I haven't been in for the past 7 years. As a result my account went to collections, and I had to spend a lot of time fixing that. Not even an apology for that. I still don't know what I owe them. I will never go here again. The quality medical care was not worth this ordeal.
My experience at midwest orthopedics was great. Got all my questions answered and left feeling empowered with the tools they gave me to improve my joint health. Dr. Blumgrin is a good listener and very understanding of the goals I have for my health.
First time to Rush, exceptional service from start to finish.
Dr. Gerlinger is the best Dr. I've ever seen. He is patient, personable, and very intelligent. He explains every thing very thoroughly. My only regret is that I didn't meet him before I had my knee replaced 3 months prior.
Possibly one of the best and most thorough experiences I have had. Dr Goldberg is on his game 100%. I was so very worried about my situation but he clarified every bit and I am pleased with the turn out.
Don't waste your time anywhere else.
Excellent Service . Pleased with the appointment is being handled and the time it took to complete.
Great staff, very patient Doctor. Thoroughly explains everything, had an excellent experience overall. Definitely recommend.
Dr. Tad Gerlinger is an awesome orthopedic surgeon. He did an excellent job on replacing my right hip he even put my leg back in place straighter then it was before. I have had no complications. I can walk just fine. Oh, and the staff there is great. Now I need the left side done because I have advascular necrosis and I don't want anyone else to do it but Dr. Tad Gerlinger
First time visiting this facility, unfortunately, with a dislocation on the right AC Joint (right shoulder). An appointment had to be done ASAP and within a couple of hours they were able to squeeze me to get check the following day. Thanks to Dr. Leda Ghannad and staff for taking me in as I was in severe pain. I will surely recommend Dr. Leda Ghannad at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
Dr. Jacobs was polite and professional and recommend what he thought were options for treatment. It was very helpful and appreciated!!
Dr. Sporer is very focused on his patients. He spent time understanding my problem, explaining my X-rays in detail, and offering options for care.
Dr Singh and his staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are always available to answer questions or concerns. I highly recommend them for their noninvasive spinal surgery!
Dr. Weber is an excellent doctor. I do have an issue with how the practice as a whole is run. The wait times are horrible for any doctor in the practice. Last time Dr. Weber was 1.5 hrs behind. I work at the medical center and a call in advance would have been most helpful. Staging patients in an exam room and making them wait before seein the PA does not help. I would rather wait in the reception area.
The doctors here are top notch! I have seen 3 different Orthopedists (different body parts). They are knowledgeable and try conservative treatment first. They listen to you, and seem to genuinely care about getting you back on your feet! I would highly recommend Dr. Bach, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Lee. You will be very pleased with the care you receive. The only downside is the drive to Rush downtown -wish they had offices in the southwest or far west suburbs.
I was seen promptly. I felt confident that the trainer and physician understood and could successfully treat my injury. They explained my injury and procedure
Everyone I encountered throughout my son's treatment was absolutely just remarkable! Great attitudes, warm, welcoming and friendly and oh yeah I love the treasure chest they have for the kids! Thank you all for a job very well done!!!!
Dr. DeWald saved me from a lifetime of pain and definite possibility of ending up in wheelchair. He is a very talented doctor who takes his profession very seriously. He also is very patient with questions. Dr. DeWald also referred me to Dr. Baim, an endocrinologist, to help me build my bones to be ready for surgery; They both care about their patients. Dr. DeWald was also great on educating me and my family on what was happening.
Dr. Blank is an extraordinary oncologist. My father was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in October and we were desperate to find the right doctor. When my family met him, he was very attentive with all of us making sure that each of us understood my father's treatment plan. My father went to surgery on February 21 in the hands of Dr. Blank. He did such an amazing job. My dad's surgery was huge and there were many risks for it as well as complications. Thanks to this wonderful doctor my father didn't have any. I truly recommend him with all my heart. He is kind and patient with family and understands what you are going through. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
I've been a patient at Midwest Orthopedic since 2011. I believe they have some of the finest doctors in the country and travel over 60 miles to see them. Over the last seven years I have been involved with three of their physicians and consider all of them some of the finest in the Chicago Metro area.
I had a great experience at Rush Hospital, from the time I was shown in from check-in, with my many surgeons including Dr Brett Levine, how by the way is the best reconstructive Dr I recommend. He tells you about your surgery, what he expects the outcome to be, he wants to know what do you see as a reasonable outcome and why, and how to come to the best outcome for you as the patient. The physical therapy department take time with you to instruct you on the things you can and can't do. The nurses help with all kinds of tasks and also staying ahead of the pain so that you can recover better. The nurses aides who help with all ADL's are like angels from heaven when it's time to move around, to and from place to place, needing my coffee all night, . I can't say enough great things about Rush Hospital and the complete stall staff.
Gm. I just want to give a brief summary of my experience at Rush hospital. I had total hip replacement surgery and everything went great. From the admission to the discharge I want thank everyone for their professionalism and dedication to make my stay comfortable.
Dr David Cheng is Amazing...The procedure he performed has increased my mobility and confidence. He has a Wonderful bedside manner and just extremely skilled and professional. It was very easy to make an appointment and I appreciate his care and concern for how I was feeling. Thank you again Dr David!
Dr. Fetzer took the time to listen, and answer all my questions. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly, organized and professional.
The expertise available at Midwest Orthopaedics is the highest available. I felt very well cared for by every staff member. This was my second visit to Dr. Kathleen Weber and operationally it went very well, little wait times and everything processed through efficiently. I am very grateful to have such a knowledgeable doctor to care for me. Dr. Weber is impressive for her knowledge and it can sometimes be surprising to have such a talented specialist also be a great and relatable person to talk to. She is kind, a good and patient listener and very thoughtful. The team she has is equally professional and friendly. I am happily recommend them to anyone!
My visit to Rush medical center was very pleasant. I saw DR. AN in a very timely manner, after he reviewed all my images and notes he was able to tell me exactly where my pain was coming from in my lower back and him and his team had a plan to repair and heal me during my visit with him. It was something that they had commonly seen and had a procedure they felt would work very well in my case. They even validated my wife and I parking.
When I first went in and seen Dr Tad Gerlinger I thought the nerve of this man to say I needed to loose weight. So being a very stubborn Texan I went out joined water aerobics and put myself on a very strict diet. I went for 8 weeks with no pasta, rice, potatoes, or bread. I dropped 19 pounds and got my BMI TO 38! I went back to see Dr Gerlinger and he was shocked! He said I wish all my patients would take him seriously. He scheduled my surgery and did left knee first because it was the worst! I was out of the hospital next morning and back to work in 13 days after surgery. Went in for my 3 week follow up and was told I am doing wonderfully. I could stop out patient therapy in 1 week and could start water aerobics up in 7-10 days. I have already scheduled my right knee in July. Doctor says I can go tubing Father s Day weekend! My surgery was 4/9/19. I feel wonderful if you do all your exercises and what doctor Gerlinger says you will do great!!!!!!! Love this doctor and so happy he made me loose the weight!
Dr Leda Ghannad worked on my right knee and did a great job and was very professional. She has very good Dr, patient relationships and explained everything to and I found that to be reassuring .I would recommend her to any one looking for Orthopedic surgeon and their office staff is very good. Thank you
Best surgeon ever... I literally had no pain afterwards..if you need any orthopedic surgery, I strongly recommend you go to midwest and have Dr. Yanke perform your surgery
My personal experience with Dr. Karas is that he is thoughtful and takes time to listen to your concerns. He explains things in a manner that is more consultative rather than talking at you. I went through 2 other doctors at the practice and by God s Grace I believe I ended up with the best of the 3. I stuck with Midwest because of Doctor Jacobs and his reputation. So I felt that I could trust doctor Karas training and the reputation he was building for himself. While he is yet new to Midwest, he has a talented staff that above all proved to have integrity, a tenacity for making sure I understood and was on point with the requirements of the procedures and processes that must be met for surgery to take place. Based on how well I feel 3 weeks after the surgery, I can tell you that it feels like he successfully completed a total knee replacement of my left side. I literally called my company to tell them I wanted to return to work after the first week that s how good I felt after surgery. It was amazing. No more pain! The first night after surgery the nurses made me walk and I had NO pain. There was some muscular pain in the back of my knee but no actual knee pain! Now I m returning to my office environment with limited walking per doctor s instructions after 3 weeks of physical therapy. My range of motion is incredible... In 3 more weeks I get my right knee done. I can t express in words how excited I am at the anticipation of having two new functional knees that will give me a whole new lease on life after 12 years of agony and steroid injections and monovisc, etc... I highly recommend Doctor Karas and his team. They are wonderful with pain management, follow up and return phone calls. When you re going through something this important we all need the BEST. Dr. Karas is someone to setup an appointment with and at least get his opinion. The only critique I would have if I had to knit pick, is that I would have liked to seen him more at the hospital after surgery since I was there more than one night. But again he is a surgeon (probably in the OR all day) and I m knit picking. I was visited by at least 2 if not 3 of his colleagues during my 3 day stay. Keep in mind I m a high risk patient with very high expectations. Only time will tell the full impact of the surgery, but I have I high hopes based on the initial results and progress of physical therapy. I will update my review and/or add another review after my second total knee replacement. Best Regards.
I m quite satisfied with my recent visit. Dr Wysocki is clearly a knowledgeable physician who assessed my elbow issue quickly, and offered me a path to regain a normal, pain free life.
Dr Weber was very thorough and kind! She knows what she is talking about as she noted a problem I had been diagnosed with previously without me telling her about it. I have every confidence that she can help anyone with an orthopedic injury/problem.
My experiences at Rush have been absolutely over the top. Thank you so much
Dr.Joel was nice, and super gentle with handling me and my condition!! Highly recommend
My experience with Dr. Fernandez service was very positive and I would look for his help all the time.
I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Nho and his team at Rush. I am currently 7 weeks PO following surgical repair of an almost complete hamstring avulsion and my leg has never felt better. My only suggestion is to order the post-op brace for the patients to see/use/touch pre-surgery. We had a little bit of a learning curve figuring out the brace - it was a little more difficult waking up after surgery in the brace and then trying to figure it out when my leg was sore. Other than that, Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and its surgeons are definitely THE experts in sports injuries. Have already recommended them to a colleague suffering a similar running injury. Couldn t be happier with my results - Dr. Nho is definitely the hip and hamstring expert!
I can t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Grant Garrigues and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
He is a great surgeon. He is very skilled and explains everything completely. He also has a good bedside manner.
Everyone I saw at Midwest Orthopaedics was friendly and kind. Everything was very organized there.
I went to see Dr. Lopez twice for a horrible back problem. After the first time I was happy he said he could help me and said someone will contact me. I went home and never got a call. I called back at least 9 times and never heard from anyone. So I made a second appointment to talk to him again. He said he would perform surgery on my back and his assistant would contact me and set it up. Never got a call. I called 5 more times and left messages and never got a callback. Horrible practice. I am now going to Northwestern Hospital Spinal team.
Dr. Cheng was very thorough and patient with me to find out where my issues where and listened to my concerns in finding a resolution for my lower lower back/hip pain. His staff was very professional and courteous as well. Appointments where not difficult to get either.
I recently had hip arthroscopic surgery by Dr. Shane Nho. He and his staff have been fantastic! I am pleased with my progress at this point and look forward to a full recovery!
He is a very thorough and knowledgeable doctor. My surgery scar is gorgeous and barely visible. He helps you through the healing process and listens to all your concerns. Thank you for everything!!!
Tamara Kampwirth
Dr. Bush Joseph and his PA, Travis are an incredible team! The attention to detail and explanation that you provided us was very informative and it also provided us a positive outlook with regards to the Road to Recovery for our daughter ! My family appreciates your entire team! Lisa is also very thorough and welcoming ! We look forward to a successful surgical outcome!!
Dr. Dewald saw me and was extremely informative and helpful. He took the time to explain my MRI and he made sure that I understood what the readings meant. I had met with another Dr. before seeing Dr. Dewald but he did not take the time to explain anything to me and I left more confused and concerned than before I walked in.
My experience with Midwest Orthopedics and Dr. Dewald specifically was extremely positive. If you're looking for a professional that takes his time and puts your mind at ease without confusing you then Dr. Dewald is the Dr. and Midwest Orthopedics is the place for you.
I am going to highly recommend Dr Blank to all of my corporate colleagues at Honeywell. He is not only very professional, but knowledgeable very communicative and answers all my questions. What more could a patient ask for...an amazing doctor!
Great job to Dr. Kern Singh and staff.
I walked in with a pain level of 8.
I walked out with a pain level of 2.
Outstanding. Thank You.
Dr. Williams and his team took excellent care of me. I suffered an injury to my ankle which caused me to have two broken bones. From the time I arrived here, I received nothing but the best care. Dr. Williams was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and provided a great care plan for my recovery. I m so happy I came to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
I ve been to a lot of different places for doctors. I ve never been treated nearly as bad as I ve been here. By the front desk, receptionists, and the doctor himself. They are condescending with every word they say. I will never be back here. Worth it to me to drive across the country somewhere than be treated like a child.
The doctor was very nice and helpful. I just wish it didn't take so long to get my MRI done I saw the doctor a few days ago and I couldn't get the MRI scheduled for over 3 weeks and iI' dealing with horrendous pain and the painkillers I'm getting are not helping. She said she couldn't give me anything stronger because I'm being seen at the pain clinic for something else. It doesn't make any sense to force someone to live in this much pain for so long. Something needs to be done to expedite MRIs and pain management. I'm only able to see Dr. Jaycox on a very limited basis because of his limited schedule and because of this I'm going through a lot of pain and suffering. I've been to the ER and they did very little to help plus one of the nurses i dealt with treated me with nothing but disrespect after she asked me where I live and I explained i currently live in a homeless shelter. The doctor at Midwest orthopedic told me i can't even schedule a follow-up until after the MRI which isn't until 3-21-19 and then god knows how much l have to wait to be seen again. Your scheduling system sucks especially when you have someone like me in the pain I'm in and barely able to walk. Is this how you treat all your patients??? I'm ready to start looking for somewhere else to be treated that won't take months to help me with my left hip and leg. I can only take so much more pain before I turn to other options that will definitely kill my pain for good. I hope I don't have to go down that route but I'm running out of patience and I can't take this pain too much longer. You all need to make some changes for the better of your patients. I'm getting sick and tired of dealing with RUSH and the constant long waits for treatment. I will never go to the ER at RUSH ever again. Don't bother contacting me because I've filed complaints and they seem to have fallen on deaf ears and I don't want to deal with that anymore. If this doesn't get help soon I will just take matters into my own hands. I just can't wait much longer.
As soon as I ruptured my Achilles, the first practice I thought of was Midwest ortho at Rush. I visited Dr. Kamran Hamid and he was extremley knowledgeable and very clear on patient options. It is good to have a top of the class surgeon 30 miles from home :).
I wanted to leave worse due to the crazy wait after checking in, but guy really knows his stuff. Excellent staff and service once you get passed the check in area. These 5 stars are legit as I waited 2 hours after check in to be called.
I had great service from the time I got there from the receptionist to the X-ray technician And from Rachel Dr Ghana s assistant also Dr G Ana s, very friendly professional!!!!
So well organized. Love getting my x-ray and exam with x-ray on the same day
I had a very positive experience with the entire staff. Dr Hamid was very informative and easy to talk with.
I ve had nothing but positive experiences in the care I ve received from Dr Greg Nicholson. He s repaired both my shoulders and I ve fully returned to my sport quickly both times.
Delighted with the service and follow through. Even easy to park. Everyone was extremely courteous. I didn t have to wait. In and out in an hour and 10 minutes including X-ray!
My prescription was ready by the time I got to my pharmacy. So easy!
The entire process feom check-in through the discharge process was terrific! Very impressed after seeing another physician for months and no real progress or hope! Had an assessment, an intervention, and a plan for next steps to reach a resolution. No only helped my arm but gave my psyche hope after more than 6 months of pain that was at times overwhelming! Thank you!
Amazing experience, everyone in the office is kind and thoughtful. Saul is exceptional in his work, always remembered my name and made sure to have me seen as soon as possible. Dr. Forsythe was timely and immediately tried to connect with me on a personal level the moment we met. Grateful I chose Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush to monitor my injury and in making sure I get the best care in Illinois.
Dr Matthew Colman and PA Joey medical services were exceptional. Would definitely recommend others!!!
Dr, Cohen came in really late . I was asked to get Another set of xrays. He. Came in late and spent a few minutes with me.:
