I had my cervical disk replacement 8/30/19 thank God I met Dr. SIGHN and Dr. CHRISTOPHER McGee they saved my life. After c5 c6 were replaced I'm 100% pain free. The surgery was 40 min and I was off pain meds in 3 days and bad to dental hygienist work a week early. All the injections and medications I was put on by other Doctors and specialists never helped. I literally felt hopeless and my health was rapidly deteriorating. They saved me thats all I can say. I cancelled all my consults after I met with this team. I felt that confident. I by far healed 75% faster then any other patient I saw in physical therapy. I have full range of motion 300 stars up!

I have been to Midwest Orthopaedics once to see Dr. Cole. Other than the very long wait in the lobby and having to wait for about 6 weeks to get an appointment, I had a positive experience here. Dr. Cole and his physician's assistant seemed very knowledgeable and take a proactive approach to treatment. I will be updating this review after my next appointment.
Great experience at rush . Dr. Yanke is one of the best surgeons there is. And his people Skills Are better than A scale of 10 I will give him a 100 he is excellent
Dr Fernandez and his staff were amazing ,very caring and professional at the same time he performed a pulley reconstruction on my hand using my forearm tendon to wrap my finger tendon (wild stuff )also my wife is in love with him and I understand
I had a microdisktectomy in 2015 by Dr. Kern Singh from Midwest Orthopedics. All was great until 2017 when I started having issues again after an accident. Went back to see him 10/20 and he was very honest and told me that my problem was different now. He referred me elsewhere for more conservative care. He was very friendly and caring. Thank you!!
I was not only impressed with the facility at Midwest Orthopedic at Rush, but totally impressed with Dr. Nikhil Verma! He truly took the time and effort to discuss my condition and next steps towards correcting my situation through a very thorough evaluation. Very pleasant and accommodating!
Very professional staff! Dr. Bach and his staff were very nice and knowledgeable, and presented all of the options for treatment. The surgery was also done extremely well. Very happy with the care I ve received.
Dr Linn was very good once I got to my appointment. I was told to arrive 15 minutes before my appointment. I was still sitting in the waiting area at 20 minutes past my appointment. So I had been there 35 minutes at this point. I asked at the front desk how much longer. They said I would be next. Finally 45 minutes after arriving, I was taken to the exam room where I sat another 15 minutes before going back to the front and asking for the manager who seemed far too inexperienced at managing or handling problems for my taste. She did not seem to grasp that it is disprectful to run that far behind and even more disrespectful to not keep the patient updated.
I did not care for the physician's assistant. She seemed to be pushing for more x-rays which would cost more money when the xrays were already in the Rush system.
Dr Linn was very personal and thorough. Not sure that is enough to get me to go back again.
Dr. Ghannard is great! She is genuinely concerned about my health. She asks questions, even says "is this is that alright with you?". Love her bedside manner. Her professionalism is apparent in her health treatment towards me.
After a failed rotator cuff surgery from a Saint John, Indiana surgeon, I went for a second opinion with Doctor Verma @ Midwest orthopedic at Rush. I had a total massive tear.
I took a current MRI to the first visit with Doctor Verna. After he looked at the MRI and my shoulder, he said he could get me back to work , but it would be a long recovery.
Doctor Verma used a biological patch and stem cells mixture to rebuild my shoulder( don't remember the term for what he did.) This was a good decision for me to go with Doctor Verma. The doctor's staff and Brittany in therapy were first class. They listened to you before they answered my questions. It was a waste of time with my first surgeon in Saint John
It was well worth the time to drive to Rush on Harrison street in Chicago. I was able to do therapy in Munster Indiana
VERMA is the best to fix your shoulder If I could give 10 stars I would I am back at work now!
I recently visited Midwest Orthopaedics for the first time and found everyone to friendly and professional. They made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in the right place. I'm glad that I'm with them.
I always get the information requested and the staff is always accommodating. Even though this is a stressful event for me I'm usually more relieved when I leave the office. I'll be back again to get completely repaired.
Dr Joel Williams is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. My husband been suffering ... in pain for almost 3 yrs ( non union left femur), been taken care of by IBJI MD. I looked for second opinion- got Dr Williams to see him... had his surgery last July 2018. Next day after surgery, full weight bearing. After 2 weeks , he's just walking with a cane , taking ultram during the night only . A month after surgery, he's walking 2-3 blocks using his cane only !
Dr. SHANE NHO. He and the team were great. It was my left leg. They cut at the knee and reconnected the 4 tendons above the knee. If YOU trip don't come down hard and fast. Roll. So the 6 weeks are up. I can get around the house. Need 6 more weeks of outpatient treatments. Thanks.
Super nice clean place.I came with self pay which would be a big amount of money but doctor provided great suggestions and helped me a lot. First great experience in a hospital.
What a great team Dr. Fernandez and Midwest Orthopedics has assembled. From the check-in to the finish everybody treats you as you would want, they listen and seem to truly care for your health. Great PA's at both Westchester and Downtown location. I loved the use of email communication between Dr. Fernandez and his entire staff to make the scheduling process seamless. Keep up great work
Dr. Nho answered all my questions and possible options for my torn labrum. The staff is friendly and helpful and got me in the office quick but without making me feel rushed. I m hoping my cortisone injections keep working but if I end up needing surgery I will defiantly pick Dr. Nho as my surgeon.
Communication and empathy from doctors, nurses and receptionists at Rush Midwest Orthopedics has been the best we have found in this city. Thank you Dr. Fernandez and team for truly caring. Your work on that procedure is the best Christmas gift we have ever received.
I cannot say enough good things about my first experience at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. My initial spinal surgery consultation with Dr.Kern Singh was nothing short of grade A+ excellent. From the moment he entered the exam room and shook my hand, I could feel his warmth and confidence. He thoroughly explained the condition of my spine ( I have disc herniation in addition to spondylolisthesis, grade 2 vetebral slippage, with pars fracture). Dr.Singh explained how he had seen many patients with this condition, and he would surgically repair my back with a spinal fusion. He confidently assured me that the surgery would bring relief to my many months of intense pain, and restore my back to the active and productive life I have so greatly missed. Dr.Singh's genuinely caring and assuring manner has given me hope and optimism, when before, things seemed so bleak. Now, I look forward to my surgery in 2 weeks. Thank you Dr.Singh and your team for a stellar start to healing! ...Kudos too to Ariel, RN Nurse to Dr.Singh for her warmth, compassion and expertise in covering the details of my surgery. Also the front desk staff deserves to be praised for their efficiency, politeness and professionalism.
Dr Nho is very nice and so is everyone in the office. He explained all my options to me for my hip injury and I was very comfortable with his knowledge on the subject. I followed up with them by email for some more PT information and they were super quick to respond and help out. I feel like I m in good hands!
Dr. Goldberg is the best! He is personable, compassionate, and very attentive to your concerns -besides being an excellent surgeon. His staff is also very efficient and caring both before and after surgery. I recommend Dr. Goldberg to anyone with back pain.
Dr. Verma and his staff were great. Dr Verma was the 3rd dr. My son had seen and within 3 minutes they knew what was wrong. Also you wont sit hours in a waiting area to be seen. I think the longest we waited was 20 min. Definitely recommended
I was a new patient for Dr. Agrawal but not a new patient for MOR. She and her assistant Kate were on time and very professional. They quickly became knowledgeable about my history and demonstrated a keen understanding of my condition. After a physical exam, Dr. Agrawal suggested a couple of different procedures she felt would help and discussed the pros and cons of each. Her explanations were understandable and she ably answered my questions regarding each. I was impressed with her kindness and professionalism. I was also impressed with her flexibility on scheduling the procedures. I would recommend her highly.
I am a patient at Rush and I also had knee surgery in July at Midwest Orthopedics. My doctor was Dr Tad Gerlinger and I am very satisfied with the results.
My experience with Dr. Bach has been excellent since the very first consultation! I chose him because of his reputation as the best ACL reconstruction surgeon in the Midwest. This was my second attempt at correcting my knee problems, having previously used an inexperienced surgeon almost 10 years ago, who provided me with a failed graft from day one. This experience was totally different. There was much less swelling, almost no pain, and I was off crutches within two days. This is compared to a few weeks my last time around! My Physical Therapist is amazed and says I m at least 6 weeks ahead of everyone else with the same surgery by different doctors! After only 6 weeks post op I m already back to my normal routine, working on the house, hiking, running up stairs, and all this without a limp or any range of motion loss! After years of pain and unstableness, I m finally fixed! Couldn t be happier!!
Knowledgeable staff( doctor very approachable, explaining course of patient care, allows time for questions ) extraordinary patient care. Patient is a center of their attention.Great fafacility, well organized.
Dr. Nikhil Verma immediately made me feel at ease. His expertise and knowledge in the field is evident. I feel very fortunate to have received his opinion and advice on how to correct my knee issue. He was the first orthopedic professional who recommended a partial knee replacement instead of a full. Avoiding additional procedures for problems I didn t have was exactly the advice I was seeking. And Dr. Verma is a great speaker! Glad I was able to hear his Tedx Chicago Talk. Fascinating!
Staff person at reception desk was rude and disinterested, better after I pointed out that I was there for a knee problem and he had directed me to the wrong place. The rest of the receiving and checkout staff were excellent, as was the doctor and accompanying physical therapist.
This is my first visit with Dr. Agrawl, I was very impressed with her; she was able to help with my current medical issues and came up with a plan that I believe will help to become more mobile. She was very understanding of how I was feeling ( in a lot of pain) I look forward in starting my pain management therapy and physical therapy as well.
Dr Dewald was wonderful. He really took the time to listen to my concerns and offered me answers for my pain! The first doctor I saw about these issues didn t offer me any answers and told me I was fine. Dr Dewald took the time to go through my X-ray and mri and saw something that none of the other doctors saw. Now I feel like there s a plan in place for pain management.
I was here in May of '17 for an IME and I was treated well by Dr Bush- Joseph. I return to this same clinic 7 months later and Dr. Romeo is now my doctor. This time I will have surgery through Midwest Orthopaedics with Dr. Romeo and his Staff. Dr. Romeo and his Staff have made me feel comfortable and have answered all my questions. I look forward to having my issue/ surgery resolved soon and fill you all in on my recovery.
I report to you today 5/07/18 that my surgery has been successful and Dr. Romeo and his staff have done a wonderful job. I'm still quite a way from full recovery, but I'm progressing well and in much better health than my previous surgery (not performed here). Thank you Dr. Romeo for taking on my case helping me, and performing a wonderful surgery.
Though the facility is large and a little overwhelming, it is a very efficient office. Dr. Alland was wonderful and listened to all the issues at hand. He gave me an honest recommendation and answered my questions. I honestly wish I had gone to Rush for my initial assessment 5 years ago.
The admin and medical staff have always been excellent, and Dr. Fernandez as well. I actually enjoy my visits! I was in first last fall for a thumb that got badly infected from splinters. More recently, I broke my wrist. Hoping nothing else happens to bring me back, but if it does, at least I know I m in good hands!
I was a little overwhelmed at first, but found everyone on the staff receptionist were very professional, Fear dissipated . Te Drs knew there positions and intrepid the outcome of my situation n a level that I could understand. The outcome was better than I expected and looking forward to the outcome.
Rush's Stellar Reputation continues!! Dr. Colman at Midwest Orthopedics is an incredible surgeon and person! He gives quality attention to his patients and allows ample time for their questions. What a wonderful doctor!
I cannot say enough good things about Midwest Orthopedics at Rush and Dr. Johnny Lin. Dr. Lin did an incredible job reconstructing my Achilles Tendon and orchestrating the rehab process. Dr. Lin and his entire team , from the receptionists, the nurses, PA s were thoroughly professional, caring, and effective. Most importantly in less than 4 months I went from excruciating pain to walking 10-12 miles a day touring New York! I wouldn t hesitate using anyone in that practice as they get amazing results using very pain free techniques.
Dr. Fernandez was referred to me by a friend. He took his time meeting with me in each appointment and is very knowledgeable. He is the best doctor I ever met with.
From the time i walked in was great. The staff are pleasant, it is well organized plus I felt comfortable. PA who saw me before the Doctor asked a series of questions, which BTW was cool because he wanted to cover everything that I was experiencing. Dr Colman came in shortly after and he too was thural explaining the results of the MRI . He doesn t guess what you have he makes sure by further testing to give patients a proper diagnose. Aside from being polite my spouse and I made the right choice. He genuinely cares for patients well being.
Dr. Verma is awesome. While he is clearly busy, all my appointments were timely and he took time to make sure all my questions were answered and understood. And his surgical work must have been good, because I m back to triathlons and crossfit after shoulder surgery!
Dr. Brian Cole saw me for a consultation and treatment regarding problems I have with both knees. His knowledge, empathy and attention to detail is the absolute best! In this day and age with all changes in the medical field, insurance and hospital management issues, it is most unusual to find a doctor and team that can give undivided attentiveness and care! 5 star recommendations is not enough to describe his competence! Strongly recommend him! Sergio Rubinstein
Dr. Fernandez is a GREAT doctor. I drive 3 hours to come see him and would never change doctors. I have seen him off and on for 10 years and he always remembers me. He is a straight forward doctor and helps find the best solution based on the patient's needs.
Pleasant staff, front desk at Rush Orthopaedics feels like a hotel check-in :-). I came to see Dr. Shane Nho because I was sceptical about my surgery. He was very hepful and straight forward. Left that place being confident and certain about my surgery. Thank you
Midwest Orthopedics successfully handled 2 reverse shoulder replacement operations and I am in the middle of getting a left knee joint replacement. I really felt I was being listen to by the surgeons involved. My goals became their goals. Being part of the rush hospital complex makes it truly a comprehensive experience. All the expertise that you could ever need is right there waiting to be of help to you. I would definitely recommend Midwest Orthopaedics to my friends and family.
I came in for the first visit to get evaluated for surgery. From the time I walked in I was helped through the entire visit from getting walked over to getting my vitals and then seeing meeting the doctor s staff and meeting my doctor. A very professional place. I hit the jack pot I am sure I am in the best of the best hospital and clinic for my shoulder injury. I was energized with the doctor and his staff of how the surgical procedure was explained and they seem so experienced and made it seem it will be easy and quick at the time of surgery. I am anxious to get my surgery done I want to be fixed so I can go on with my life and normal things I do. Thank you Midwest Orthopedics I m sure I will be very happy I came to you.
Dr. Nho is one of the best surgeons I ve ever met. He took my complex hip condition and gave me my quality of life back. He has a great bedside manner and his support staff are always available. Recovery from a Nho arthroscopy isn t easy and takes a lot of hard with with PT. Laura Daniels at Rush helped me walk again. Best physical therapist to motivate and treat you! I cannot day enough positive things about Rush.
I wanted to wait a full year to write this review, but considering how impressed I was (and still am) with my recovery, it wouldn't be fair to Dr Nho, or those considering a hip arthroscopy for their labral tear pain. Dr Nho performed a hip arthroscopy w/FAI for my left labral tear 6months ago. To be honest, I researched thoroughly on the surgery itself and barely any on Dr. Nho. Having researched the surgery, its success rate didn't get me too ecstatic about getting mine fixed. I resorted to live with the pain, go to PT, and receive biannal steroid injections. Last October, after getting my final steroid shot, I went on a hike to Vancouver's Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, and on my way down, it became clear as day that I needed surgery. Sitting for my flight home was agonizing. I came home and asked multiple physical therapists one question--which surgeon's patients recover the best after a hip arthroscopy (considering its success rate)? ALL fingers pointed to Dr. Nho. That was pretty much the only confirmation I needed. Little did I know, I was actually going to the best of the best. Dr Nho is modest in person so he might not go into too much detail about how his surgical approach differs from others. It's different, and he's the best. I'm only 6-months out and already running 4 miles!! The first 3 months was a lot of uphills. I tried to recover faster than my body wanted to, and I ended up taking more steps back. I truly believe my standing job enhanced my recovery. I work retail healthcare where 13-hour shifts are common, and I'm lucky if I can squeeze in one bathroom break in that shift. Not sure if the position of the labral tear was opposed to sitting, but driving home after work was the hardest part for me. Back-to-back double shifts brought on lots of residual compensation in my left knee and ankle but my PT (at REACT--really the best PTs in town) gave me lots of exercises and "fixes" to apply during my shifts. Believe it or not, the long standing-shifts evened out my gait and strengthened my glutes. But every one's recovery is different. Standing for long hours will not be for every one post-surgery, neither is sitting. Dr Nho said the recovery process is very much a trial-and-error, and this was too true. Currently, I have ZERO pain in my left hip, and so much of my physical activities restored. I consider myself blessed and EXTREMELY lucky to have had a great surgeon like Dr Nho, in Chicago, when I needed this surgery.
Phenomenal!!! That's the word that describes Dr. Verma. He is a very knowledgeable Doctor dedicated to his craft. He helped me with my knee injury (diagnosis, assurance of best care available, and promise I will be back to being better than I was). Very proficient in what he does and the surgery was successful and stress free. Flawless individual when it comes to sport injuries. I recommend Highly!!!
Dr. Williams' and his staff were a pleasure and easy to work with and did what they could to work with us as we were traveling from Michigan to see him. I felt like Dr. Williams was very knowledgeable and had a good bedside manner. My daughter had hip surgery with him and it all went very well. We would definitely recommend. One thing regarding wait times: our appointments were always around the same time of day and some times we were in and out with no waiting, other times we had reasonable waits and only one really long wait. I did not include wait times in the rating but if that's an important factor, you may want to schedule first thing in the morning.
Very disappointed with the service here. This was my first time coming here and I had a appointment at 11am and had to fill out paperwork on a iPad which took a hour to fill out. After I was done I waited almost 2 hours to be seen . Once I was called back to be seen Dr. Phillips Nurse came in to asses me, after that his PA came in and told me that I wouldn t be seeing him because he was so busy . I felt like even if he was busy he could of at least introduced himself to me and let me know that his PA was going to be taking over instead of him. I felt like my case wasn t serious enough for him to see me.
My son was treated for broken fib,tib and talus and Dr. Hamid was so wonderful. He calmed him during the entire stay and was very informative and answered all of my questions in detail and with patience. We are on our way to a great recovery and would recommend him 110%.
The office staff was efficient, friendly, and quick while preparing me for my appointment. Check in was easy. Dr. Singh was nice as was his colleague who assessed my condition. He pointed me in the right direction. I wasn t completely satisfied. I do think there should have been more time explaining to me what my condition entailed. The intern encouraged exercise and returning to work with no restrictions without asking what my job entails. I was not able to return to work immediately. So maybe more physical contact in assessing patients is needed.
Absolutely the best choice for your shoulder problems, pains or concerns. Shoulder replacement was necessary and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Almost have total range of motion.
Dr. Williams performed a reconstruction of my hip socket in July 2018. I felt so little pain during my stay at Rush and after. One year has gone by and I would do that surgery ten times over as it s drastically improved my life. He has an excellent bedside manner and made sure I understood every part of the process. Rush is the best.
This is a well-organized, competent practice with a caring, professional staff. I saw Dr. Nho and found him to be a great listener, willing to answer my questions and explain things in a way I could understand. He and his staff were open to my input, and I felt we worked together to decide the best next steps for me.
Dr. Philips and Christine Johnroe are the best there is. Professional and personally connected to the patients. I received a disc replacement 2 years ago and am having a second replaced this January.
I felt completely blown off by Dr. Phillip's. I was referred to him by my primary doctor, who advised me that he was the best. I did not have the opportunity to determine his abilities because he only spent a couple of minutes in the room with me. He seemed to feel inconvenienced by me, and then walked out midsentence as I was attempting to ask him questions. This was my second appointment with Dr.Phillips because I figured he was just having a bad day on the first visit, but after having an even worse experience the second time I will not be returning to his office. His nurse was very friendly and attempted to answer questions, but I would not recommend Dr. Phillips.
Comfortable waiting room. Wonderful PA Evan who is bright, concerned and very caring. Dr. Colman is extraordinary, knowledgeable, and compassionate!! Definitely recommend!!!
Dr Gerlinger and his staff are all very professional, knowledgeable, and skillful. I had a total knee replacement and all my expectations have been met. I had zero pain in the hospital after the surgery. Although pain did begin when PT started as stretching the new knee is part of recovery. My pain level never went over about a 6 on the smiley pain chart, ever. I am 6 weeks into my new knee and all is going well. My 4 inch long scar was decribed by a PT tech as "pretty". I had been to two different knee specialists before finding Dr Gerlinger. I knew I had found the right team with my first office visit when his staff (Kate) found the cause of pain in the back of my Knee that the other Drs could not explain. I was impressed. And Dr Gerlinger also impressed with surgical results. I would recommend Midwest Orthopedics. If my other knee ever needs attention, I will return to Dr Gerlinger and his minimal invasive knee replacement surgery. Thank you Dr Gerlinger! My short stay at Rush hospital also exceeded my expectations.
If you are in need of an orthopedic surgeon, there's no need to go any further than the professionals at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. I was in need of a spinal fusion due to a ruptured disc and vertebral slippage from spondylolisthesis with pars fracture at L4/L5. After researching, I felt the surgery I needed was not going to be just routine. After 2 consultations with local surgeons in the area where I live, I was truly blessed to have come across Midwest Orthopedics at Rush, Chicago. After reading their website, I learned that Dr.Kern Singh's vast expertise included surgically repairing spinal conditions such as my own. At my consultation, I was warmly introduced to Dr.Singh and his team, Dr's Assistants Christopher, Patrick, and Nurse Ariel. Dr.Singh is amazing. He exudes warmth and confidence in his welcoming handshake and caring eye contact. I knew I was going to be in the best of care. During the consultation, Dr.Singh said that the surgery he had planned would relieve me of my terrible pain and physical limitations. Upon listening to him speak confidently that the surgery would consist of both an ALIF and a PLIF, and the placement of a disc spacer. I knew my pain filled days were nearly over. I couldn't wait for my surgery date. My surgery was on September 6th 2019. It was a Friday. The surgery itself took about 2 and a half hours. I spent that night at the hospital with EXCELLENT pain management and care. Saturday morning came and the orthopedic PT had me not only up and walking, but climbing up and down a flight of stairs. They needed to make sure I could climb the flight of stairs to enter my home. By late that same Saturday afternoon I was released to go home. The next day was Sunday, and I was out with my family for a short grocery shopping trip. I cannot thank Dr.Singh enough for giving me my life back. His surgical technique is life changing AMAZING. From the time of my surgery, till today, my 15th week post-op, I am pain free. At 4 weeks I started PT 3x weekly, walk 2-4 miles daily and carry out all my household responsibilities. I know I have a long way to go before my spine will be completely fused, but my family and friends cannot believe my pain alleviation, and the progress I have made since surgery. My deepest gratitude goes out to everyone at Midwest Orthopedics, from the front desk staff to the surgical and hospital professionals...and Especially Dr.Singh. You are all top notch at what you do, and I hope you know that you are truly touching lives with the healing work that you do by freeing your patients from a life of pain. Thank You Dr.Singh and everyone at Midwest Orthopedics. You're the absolute BEST.
Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is simply the best. Dr. John Fernandez performed my carpal tunnel release surgery. Prior to my surgery someone I know, told me that Dr. John Fernandez was the god of carpal tunnel release surgery and I found that statement to be true.
On February 7th 2018 Dr Brett R Levine completed a left knee revision for me and the operation went very well. He saw that there was only a problem with the knee cap device and replace that as opposed to having to do a complete knee revision;;; fore the remaining parts were securely in place and working appropriately. Therefore choosing correctly not doing that which was unnecessary. This happened to be my second revision on the left knee, 3 surgeries total on the left side and I appreciate totally that he did not do unnecessary work doing therefore more than he needed to do. My recovery was strongly move forward and I'm able to walk without a walker or a quad cane within a three weeks time! I appreciate strongly the knowledge and experience of Dr Brett R Levine and would recommend him strongly to anyone considering his expertise. Jerome Weatherspoon
I went to Midwest Orthopedics Rush Medical Center for my ankle joint problem. The doctors spent time listening to my ongoing problem and the service was very professional with the axillary staff. Everything was all in one area to get my "return to work" note, follow up appointments, PT prescription, ankle braces which work like magic. I am walking without limping. I had an appointment which was plugged in but still I did not have to wait long. Thank you Dr. Hamid and team!
