They are busy, and traveling there takes a ton of time however you go, but there s no doubt they are the best at what they do. The staff is great, very friendly. I would recommend without hesitation! 1 year post surgery for complete hip replacement, couldn t be happier!
Doctor Nikhil Verma is awesome 10 years ago i needed reconstructive knee surgery on my LT. And my scars are barely visible and recovery was great. Now its my RT knee and he is still there with even more experience under his belt and he didnt forget my face... Rush Rocks

I came for an appointment with Dr. Brett Levine on Tuesday October 30, 2018. The parking was easy and the staff in the Orthopedic building were friendly and helpful. I had x-rays taken and within 10 minutes later I was in to see Dr. Levine. Dr Coleman is very knowledgeable doctor. He cares about his patients and he recommends what is best for them. Surgery to him is a last resort. If there is anything that might work he will try that first. It's not about the money with him it's about the patient. My family and I recommend him for any orthopedic need.

I came to Dr. Goldberg for a second opinion. I wanted both a second reading of my MRIs and an opinion on the best surgical solution for whatever was wrong with me. The first surgeon I had consulted (the one that happens to be local) had told me that I had two disks that needed repair and that I was a candidate for disk replacement.
Dr. Goldberg spent a great deal of time walking me through the MRIs and explaining why he felt that I needed to address the herniations in three locations. He also explained why disk replacement was contra-indicated in my case. I got a very good understanding from him of how the surgery would go, what the recovery would be like, and what the risks down the road would be.
I felt that Dr. Goldberg and his PA Katie represented the height of professionalism throughout our consultation. He didn't dumb down or tell me what I wanted to hear.
I haven't yet decided my long-term care plan, but I was incredibly grateful for the professional and caring consultation I received at Rush. Highly recommend.

He performed three surgeries to repair my broken ankle and after 4 months my ankle is heading for what I hope is a full recovery. I sustained an injury to the rotator cuff, And Dr. Forsythe actually took the time to answer all my questions (which the first ortho I visited did not). He demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the shoulder anatomy, which gave me the confidence that I was in proper care. Should I elect to move forward with the corrective procedure, I will be moving forward with Dr Forsythe.

I was referred for a surgical consult for a troubling issue with my upper spine which has caused me pain and debilitation for two years to Matthew Colman. After seeing Dr Colman on 27th March I never heard back from him again, despite two calls to his office asking for the follow up he promised on the 29th.
It s a relief and reassuring to see Dr. Josh Blomgren at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. The convenient covered parking at a reduced fee keeps you out of bad weather. Any needed X-rays are just down the hall. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. It s easy to talk with Dr. Blomgren and his assistant. By the the end of the visit I know all my questions will have been answered. l will have a plan of action that will help me feel better and become the best I can be.
Dr. Yanke listened carefully to my medical problem and concerns and laid out my options accordingly. He was objective about my shoulder problem and the probable outcomes of various approaches. I was impressed that he did not push for surgery and that he stated that if he didn t think he could help me, he would refer me to someone else. Dr. Yanke was very sensitive to my fervent wish to be able to continue my specific form of exercise. He also responded very quickly to my follow-up email inquiry.
I would give Dr. Yanke 5 stars and would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr Hamid has been my physician / surgeon for over a year now and beginning with
moderate approaches at first and then coming to the conclusion that surgery would be necessary, this has been a good experience. If you add to that successful procedure some great after care, all the while infusing personal interest and attention for the patient , it becomes a winning formula.

Dr Sporer is well known in the field of orthopedics. I had a left knee replaced by him in the past without any problems. He is now going to replace my right hip. I can think of now one else I would have do the surgery.

Dr. Hamid was not confident in a plan to perform my ankle replacement. I had to go back to my previous surgeon who had referred me to Dr. Hamid. My previous surgeon had to talk to Dr. Hamid twice to get him to do what I need done for surgery. When he finally decided what to do his staff would not cooperate with my insurance company and do what was required for coverage for Imaging for surgical planning. When I contacted them on ways to work with my insurance company they got frustrated at me and told me I was no longer a patient there. The doctor never talked to me even thought my referring physician asked him to.They just eliminated me from the clinic. I am in extreme pain and they did nothing about it. All I wanted was for them to cooperate my insurance company to cover things they said needed to be preformed before surgery, but they would not do what was needed to get it covered. Please do not go to this doctor because his staff is difficult to work with. They are very rude and treat you like a number not a patient. Dr. Hamid does not seem to know what to do when it comes to finding the best solution on his own.. He assumes a lot of the time with out listening to the patient and is not confident When I complained to there supervisor she did nothing about it.

The physicians at Midwest Ortho do amazing work. I have had multiple back fusions, one knee and hip replacement, a fusion of my right foot, and now a left reverse shoulder replacement , all by Midwest Ortho physicians. I am now 73 years old, and doing wonderful! No limp, or back pain. I play a lot of golf, and some occasional hoops!

Everyone was very friendly & took care of my needs. Dr An clearly explained why I need surgery & what will be done. His nurse Jackie helped schedule me for my phisical on the same day so I wouldn't have to come back. I had my physical, blood work & EKG all on the same day as my doctor visit. I would recommend Midwest Orthopedics (especially Dr An & nurse Jackie) to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery. The thought of Spinal surgery scares me but I know I am in good hands.
Dr Verma and his team are truly the best. From the initial assessment and before his MRI was done, Dr Verma immediately knew what happened to my husbands knee based solely on his physical assesssment and the symptomaology my husband described. I am a nurse and I do vigorous research before I take my family anywhere. Dr Verma and his staff are extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and very responsive to any needs you may have. My husband had to have his ACL/meniscus done. We had pretty much met our max out-of-pocket for the year, so we wanted to get the surgery done asap so it would be covered along with the PT treatment before the end of the year. We initially had to schedule almost a month out for the surgery, but after letting the PAs know that we wanted to get in ASAP, they called us as soon as there was a cancellation and my husband ended up having surgery the same week we found out he had to have it! A lot of this is from sheer luck, but all the staff was well-organized and very responsive nonetheless. I can't say enough good things about Verma and his staff. He truly is a master of his craft, is extremely knowledgeable, and as soon as you meet him you'll realize why he is working in a practice that is one of the best in the country. I feel extremely confident that my husband was in the bet hands possible for his repair, and his recovery will be as smooth as it possibly can be because of this group. We couldn't be happier!!
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. S. Nho and his associates. They were very friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!! We drive 90 miles to go to Rush and have had wonderful experiences every time.
Rush is awful. This is not just based on one time visit, but multiple time doctor visit. And not just me, also my wife's experience.
1. Forever waiting. you never know when the doctor is ready or an exam (i did x-ray, MRI), my wife did an ultrasound, average waiting is 1-2 hours, no kidding.
2. Not professional at all. they did an x-ray on the wrong foot and they don't want to do one more time, they call me to come next time to do one more. Scheduling is awful too, they said they will call me to schedule but never happen and when I call back they seems knowing nothing.
3. Always asking money. every time they ask me to pay for some down payment just in case even though i have ppo insurance covered.
4. The orthepdic doctor is awful. They schedule an appointment with me about my MRI report, after waiting for almost 2 hours, they told me they don't know what the report shows them and they have no idea what happen. cool, why not just give me a call?
My wife have similar experience there and she decide never go there. Much better expereince in NW
I find Midwest Orthopedic at Rush is a premier institution. I had my Right Total Knee Replacement in January 2019. Dr. Gerlinger did a great job. The surgery and and recovery was painless. Dr. Gerlinger and his medical staff are friendly and helpful. The post- surgical care was excellent. I have no problem walking 5 to 8 miles. I have scheduled my Left Total Knee Replacement surgery in November 2019 and expect the the same result. Thanks
In December 2019 I saw Dr. Garrigues for a shoulder dislocation and fracture. His bedside manner was excellent and made me feel comfortable and he answered my questions thoroughly. I had successful hip replacement surgery three weeks ago. Dr Denis Nam and his wonderful team went far beyond what I expected. They provided excellent care before and after surgery. I m still getting daily texts explaining where I should be in the healing process..
I initially went to Dr Kern Singh for a second opinion for my neck pain. I had been told by a different surgeon that I needed a multilevel cervical fusion. At 56 years old I wasn t ready to lose all the flexion and extension in my neck. Dr Singh and his staff met with me and reviewed my MRI and felt I was a perfect candidate for the Mobi C multilevel mobile discs. I had my surgery at RUSH Medical Center in Chicago and can not say enough positive things about the hospital and it s staff. My surgery lasted about 40 minutes and I was able to travel 2 hours back home that same evening. I am 6 weeks post op and doing great! I wasn t required to wear a cervical collar post op and returned to work 1 week post op to a desk type job. Dr Singh and his staff have been extremely professional, and helpful at every step along the way. Several times I had questions or concerns and his staff responded very promptly to my needs. I am a registered nurse so I know more than the average individual about surgical procedures, complications, and recovery. This also made me more particular in choosing a surgeon to operate on my neck knowing the many risks involved. I highly recommend Dr Kern Singh and his staff!

GREAT experience. I saw Dr. Nho for a hip injury from running. He did an exam, had me get x-rays, and discussed my situation fully. He gave me ample time and listened to my symptoms fully before telling me what he feels is going on. He suggested therapy and strengthening, having me follow up in 6 weeks and giving me information on what activities I can engage in while being treated. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Nho and his staff to anyone needing a sports medicine doctor for hip issues.

Dr.Verma did my ACL reconstruction and Meniscus repair surgery. The entire process from start to finish was well informed and he also referred me to a physical therapist close to my house.. I am Bob Daley not my wife Gabe. I had surgery 3 years ago to sever a cord that contracted 1st knuckle on pinkeye finger. A new cord grew and was contracting the same pinkey in about 2 years. Dr Wysocki reviewed previous surgery and analyzed current diagnosis . He explained current condition was affecting the 2nd knuckle and to correct would be a significantly greater surgery. If the current state was affecting my importance of life, the surgery should be considered. I am not the hindered, it impacts putting hand in pocket or a tight glove but doesn t affect my quality of life so easy decision was no surgery now but return if the condition gets to affect my quality of life. Dr. Ghannad has an exceptional bedside manner spending as much time as necessary to explain her diagnosis/observations and answering all of my questions. I left with the feeling that I was in very capable hands and fortunately a positive diagnosis.

As a life long nurse and nurse educator, I investigated various options regarding knee replacement and therapies...I put off having my knee replacement for several years...I found information about the Muscle Sparing Total Knee replacement started at Rush and found Dr Gerlinger who did my surgery...he is fabulous and his team is just as good...the incision is smaller than the traditional knee replacement and recovery is so much quicker...at 8 weeks post-op I am pretty much back to normal...I am looking forward to having my other knee done in April...Many thanks to all...
Best experience I ve had with a doctor in a long time. Been looking for relief from back pain due to a car accident and finally had to settle on surgery. Dr. Colman took time to talk through my experiences, got me in to get an X-ray deck and CT scan right away, within an hour. Also got me in to see pre-op and post-op pain specialists within a two week window also. I now have a plan I trust and that is such a relief. Would recommend highly.

I am a patient of Midwest Orthopedics at Rush it has been one of the best medical experiences of my life. Everyone not only at MWO@Rush but everyone at Rush Medical Center was awesome. I had surgery in July and the process from Pre Op to check out was five stars out of five. If you need Orthopedic help this is the place to go. You will be treated very well. I had cervical spine surgery and Dr. Goldberg and his staff were above par.
Dr Cohen is a phenomenal surgeon. He is a no bs kind of guy, and is very meticulous with how he wants things done. If you follow his post-op advice, you will get incredible results. My elbow hasn t felt this good in decades. He even took it an unexpected step further for me by being conscious of my very expensive sleeve of tattoos. The 6 incision is now barely noticeable and my tattoo lines look unaltered. A nice touch considering he didn t have to do that, nor did I expect him to. This may not be important to most people, but I think it illustrates how he cares for his patients. I am very happy to have been his patient, and I will be visiting him again soon to have my other elbow done!
I ve had 2 surgeries with Dr Levine. I m still recovering from the second. First one was my third knee replacement (his first on me). He did a great job. Second was an extensor mechanism replacement due to a fall. Only a week out of surgery. I trust Dr Levine that he knows what he s doing and I am following all his instruction. I would highly recommend him.

Nearly 2.5 hours to complete a scheduled appointment. Everyone up to meeting the actual doctor was pleasant. Doctor seemed rushed, arrogant and unconcerned. Seemed like I was being rushed out and they didn't really care about my concerns or pain. Kept pushing me to treat symptoms I wasn't as concerned about as well as recommending chiropractic treatment when I made it clear multiple times that I wasn't really interested in chiropractic treatment.
2.5 hours to get a recommendation that I _might_ check out, but mostly feels like a lot of wasted time..
Dr. Forsythe and his team are second to none. He repaired my right knee bucket handle meniscus tear and performed ACL reconstruction at the same time (on prior ACL reconstruction from my high school days). Dr. Forsythe and his team are kind, attentive and scheduling geniuses. They really listen to determine the best treatment plan for each individual patient. I ll miss them but I won t miss them haha now that I m fully recovered. You re in the best hands here!
