I love this airport. Easy to get to via CTA, less crowded than O Hare, much cleaner, and TSA moves things along well. My only complaint is that there is no auto-opening door at the entrance between the airport tunnel and the orange line station, nor an escalator that goes down from the tunnel to the station. Maybe I missed it? Still love this airport, but having a lugguge-friendly entrance to the station would make it that much better.

To not appreciate this airport is to not understand what a dump it was 15 or 20 years ago. The difference is like night and day and they have started a whole new renovation! Great shops, better dining, clean and courteous. Of course it's not cheap - it's an airport! Find me a cheap airport...

Have a beer and a sandwich at Reilly's Daughter and say "Hi" for me.

Midway gets a gold star! There were long lines at checkin for southwest, but luckily I had my mobile ticket so got right into security. It looked long but it was extremely efficient. There was a guy helping move people through the checkpoint stands (which were a little too narrow to get through with a bag) but man it was a quick, quick checkpoint. There was some bottle necking here and there but I was through security in under 10 minutes! Also, midway has the best bath room stalls. Large to easily fit my roller bag, with doors that swing out! Genius and helpful. Last, the health food game at midway is excellent. Even the Hudson News had fresh healthy options to eat. Thanks for making my pass through so good, MDW!

The dining options in this airport are outrageous. Out of dignity, nobody should ever eat here. A disgusting sandwich with ham and cheese that s clearly been sitting is the fridge for days is $9.99. A tiny cup of yogurt with granola is $7 dollars. This is the scum of humanity, but all the places are packed! This is why American don't have public health insurance. You need to fight for your rights.

I was in Chicago and thought I d pick up some pizza before leaving. AWFUL the worst pizza ever. Even cardboard taste better. Avoid at all costs.

Good restaurant choices. Plus is not as crazy as ohare

Food service has gone down hill since the changes last month. Will be bringing my own food now!

This airport is not changing with the tide of increased travelers. Only 1 in 7 restaurants open. Those that are open have a minimum of a 30 min wait to order or receive your food. When the vending machine line is as long as the food lines you know it s bad. Get with it midway! Start making good choices.

Really bad experience. We had to wait just of the runway for 10 minutes while they cleared the gate, then another 10 minutes once we got to the gate (they needed to find someone to drive there bridge thing so we could get off?. When we got to baggage claim, there was yet another delay of about 20 minutes. Seriously the worst experience I have had at an airport. Other airports manage to plan these things just fine. Why is Midway so incompetent??

Very busy. The power plugs at my gate for charing did not work. :(

Besides them losing my bags and my flights being almost always delayed here it is clean. I will do my best not to fly out of here again tho.

Smaller airport than O'Hare, so less crowds at the security line. I really like it. Plus Southwest only flies out of here and not O'Hare.

food is over priced a little and lines are so busy all the time

Decent airport and flowed well even with the Thanksgiving holiday traffic.

Though it's overtly municipal with the mixture of Chicago blue (Chicagoans, you know the type of blue), incandescent orange, and silver, the airport has local charm in a way O'Hare doesn't. For one, nicer and more expedient TSA agents, a less hectic airport terminal, and plenty of non-chain food choices. Prices are what you'd expect for airport refreshments: too much, but that luckily isn't the same for the flights. A favorite, and the only option, for those flying Southwest.

Unless flying international, they have better airlines with better prices (& better lines) than the other Chicagoland alternative!

It's quick through security, which is nice. There is a small walk to get to the end gates, so make sure you're not rushing it. If you decide to get a mixed drink at the Irish pubs, you should know ahead of time that it'll be over $20 each. They do not disclose prices, and it's my fault for not asking, but figure I would mention it to people who are waiting for their flight and are enticed by the drink menu.

It seems like my flights are always delayed when departing from this airport. I have never gone through the TSA lines myself, but from the outside, they look really long.

Chaos. I was here twice in two days on two separate layovers. Both flights arrived late....both flights departed late. There are also not nearly enough seats for the number of people waiting in the Southwest area. Very crowded and not much structure. The WiFi was also out and wouldn't connect.

Variety of place to eat... Busy place... Everyone nice and friendly.

Had a great lunch, very easy in and out. We decided to come into midway airport. It was much closer to down town. The cab driver got us to our hotel before halftime in about 20 minutes. The airport is smaller but it is easy to navigate and I would recommend it every time.

Food selections are terrible. Why would you get rid of all the good restaurants? A concourse lines are extremely long because the staff moves extremely slow. The priority lines are never open. This airport is one of my least favorite.

The best airport in Chicago! Lines? What lines? Helpful, stress-less TSA; easy, quick commute; Southwestlandia!

I guess I'm lucky that the main destination that I have to fly to is easily reached from Midway, I would hate to use O'Hare.

Much easier to get to and through then O'Hare. Good food and shops.

For an airport that's a midway point, I expect a lot more. No options for vegetarians and not many options for food in general, all the food that was available had incredible long lines and the staff was not ready or didn't seem to care about keeping a lot of people waiting. Also... this is Chicago... how do you not offer a CHICAGO DEEP DISH PIZZERIA ?! I know this is an airport but come on! They had one pizza place and all they had was thin crust, super disappointed.

Got through security line pretty quickly. Lots of choices for something to eat and plenty of seating and power sources. Clean restrooms and food area. Lots of shops as well. Appreciate the water bottle fill stations.

Yoga Room at Midway. This is a review for the Yoga Room in concourse C at Chicago Midway airport. Whoever decided to install the yoga room, thank you. Whoever is funding the yoga room, thank you. Whoever manages the yoga room, thank you. This place is a weary traveler's best friend! Beautiful spot, supplied mats, mirrored wall and soothing music. All free. THANK YOU or should I say Namaste!

Absolutely terrible. Sat in the plane for over an hour waiting for bags to be loaded.... then another 30 min for deicing. Going to avoid this airport like the plague in the future.

Pretty good service. Once you are on the flght its fine. I stopped by the foreign exchange area and they put someone there that speaks broken english. I dont understand why you would do that after 10minutes of trying to comunicate with her i said nevermind and walked away.

We go here instead of ohare because it is smaller and easier to navigate. The problem is and ONLY reason I rated it a 3 is because I need a wheelchair and was told you go to the airport and ask the skycaps for a wheelchair. We have flown three times this year and there has NEVER been a single skycap waiting either outside the door or right inside the door. I have to limp all the way to the terminal. Every flight -I am flying out of the last terminal!

Food ok. Service Terrible. Never got a copy of credit charge!

We had an hour layover here and could not get any food. They had only 3 places to eat open in our terminal and the waits were over 45 minutes. Terrible experience! We flew through three other airports that all had plenty of food options open. Do not fly through this airport!

A very busy and confusing airport. The place is dirty not well lit and has rude employees. The airport is very loud disorganized and confusing.Thw TSA Workers are lazy and rude. The good and drinks are very expensive poor quality and prepared in hurried fashion. Avoid

Much better than O'Hare. Quicker in and out. Fewer delays.

Midway is far superior to O'Hare from an operations standpoint. Parking is easier, flights are typically in and out on time, and it is a clean place. If you're flying in or out of Chicago, choose Midway over O'Hare whenever possible.

Flown through Midway twice. Apart from DFW, Midway is the other hub for Southwest in the Midwest.

Though not as large as ORD, it offers similar amenities. Large terminals with several dining options. The volume of people flying through here is actually quite large as fares are usually similar to both MDW and ORD. Midway is a little closer to downtown Chicago than ORD.

Terrible food options and filthy bathrooms. Not feeling a lot of love at Midway.

Stuck here on a layover and was sadly disappointed. Lack of food choices and the restaurants that were present had extremely long lines, and limited menus. I also had to wait in line to use the bathroom at two separate locations.

Bring back Potbellys and you will get 5 stars. Just sitting here in the food court I hear people saying " what happened to Potbellys". My enjoyment of this airport just went down a notch. Upscale restaurants are a little too much.

A nice and cozy airport but one heck of a walk from the airport to the train station.
The place needs a light rail and easy service for travelers.

Overall, a nice airport but I would prefer O'Hare as easy to navigate.

Great. Been using midway for flights for years. Much easier to navigate than O'Hare.

If you fly southwest you have to fly out of here. I cant say its a good thing, but It works.. and it is totally better than ohare.

I love this airport great shops, very well maintained,clean restrooms. The workers are friendly. Love,love love this airport...

MDW is a great alternative to the monster that is ORD. Southwest Airlines is by far the dominant carrier here and of the plethora of domestic locations they offer you can get to a large majority of them from Midway. Easy to access from the Orange Line and also a much faster trip (usually) on the Stevenson Expressway (I 55) then O'Hare, Midway has a tough as nails reputation and they do a good job keeping the airport running in inclement weather. Always like to fly in and out of Midway if I can.

Arrived for a reservation and waiting minimum 30 minutes. Why? Reservations are for pre planning!

I love stopping here . I always meet people I know while connecting to flights!

Is there any review on an airport that is pleasant? Maybe a few in the world I suppose. Expensive terrible food, TSA, grumpy workers, being herded around like cattle, privilege for those who have money, terribly designed for heavy traffic, and expensive parking prices. It is the cat's meow for adding on travel stress. Oh and did I mention the orange line shuts off from 1:00AM to 4:30AM? The walk from the station to the airport is a nice -10 minute walk, enjoy carrying your heavy bags if you don't have a rolling bag.

The good: you get to leave sooner or later.
The bad: it would be much too redundant to write again.

Layout is ok, you can take the L straight to it, the fourth star comes from the fact that Porter flies there.

I was at O'Hare earlier this week. Wow! This airport is so much easier to get around. Okay, it is much smaller. A few restaurants looked semi tempting, but I ate before I got here.

I have TSA pre authorization so I got through all of security less than five minutes. EVERYTHING. Fastest time ever since 2001, I think. And I travel a fair amount.

I do remember way back when Midway really was small - three or more decades ago. Yes, I AM old.

Good place, easily accessible by the red line. Not too crowded, good place to sit and wait.

Very clean airport with tons of food choices. Nice waiting areas with plenty of outlets attached to seats, as well as scattered throughout.

My husband and I were in line waiting ready to go through security, as we were waiting an employee with the name of Miriam Mendoza rushed in to my husband with the person on the wheel chair bumping into him forcefully my husband looked back and she said watch out rolling her eyes. My husband does not have eyes on his back and we told her that and she said I said watch out. She said that after she had already hit him.

Flying form Chicago to Norfolk, Virginia. If you cannot go first class nonstop is the only other way to fly.

Very easy airport to navigate and security seemed efficient.

If you dislike O'hare - consider flying into this airport instead. It's closer to downtown Chicago and is much smaller than O'Hare. I'd had the bad luck of getting stuck in O'hare due to weather but have had better luck flying in and out of Midway.

After Cancelling 2 flights (which I'm not mad about they can't control the weather) THEY LEFT MY FRICKIN LUGGAGE OUTSIDE. Everything was soaked, will not fly through this airport again.

Why would you not install panels for privacy at the urinals? Not interested in seeing people's junk.

Is there absolutely no men's bathrooms open inside of this place after midnight

Less prone to delays than O'Hare, and you won't have a choice if on Southwest. Cons: no Starbucks; frequently closed priority (A List) lanes; long shuttle to the rental car center. Pros: small enough to get around; nice food options; lots of charger outlets. Plant your rear in a big leather Southwest chair if you find an empty one.

No PotBelly's, No Business. You removed the most popular food option and replaced it with one of the worst pizza places I have ever seen travelers eat. Will be flying through Baltimore for my east coast trips now.

Great little airport unless you are hungry.
Lots of poor quality overpriced food.
Stop at McDonald's before you get to the airport. Better food better price!

Pretty quick going through tsa, a little confused to where to go at first I'm use to Ohare, midway is pretty small, not so bad I fly southwest mostly

I've always felt at home at this airport. There is plenty of space to walk while waiting for flights, and I enjoy the historical exhibits. The food is diverse and I am looking forward to all the new businesses they are installing.

CTA accessible from the city, for those who don't want to drive. Longer security lines, but manageable. Great food options, really nice friendly airport.

Worst airport in the country. No free WiFi, bathrooms small and old, everything old for that matter

Never been treated worse in my life! From the lazy and completely rude SWA Employees to the Airport Police Department! When the TSA is your highlight, I will forever avoid this TINY Hub!

Very limited food options with terrible service, rude airline staff, and not enough space for people waiting to board while others are unboarding. Literally had people sitting and laying in the way as I got off a plane in concourse B. No airport staff said anything to these people and they acted as if they were entitled to be there... never flying through again.

One of my least favorite airports. Airport is very old. Needsa lot of rennovations. Wifi is lacking. Lacks the quality lounges o'hare has. Also, Midway got rid of the good restaurants. They got rid of Mcdonald's and Ben & Jerry's. Also, very inconvenient location. I have to take several different highways to get here unlike o'hare; which only requires one highway. I don't even think this airport has planes that travel directly to many destinations in the U.S. , or internationally. Unless you are a die hard Southwest fan, I would not recommend anyone fly through this airport. Southwest does not fly out of O'Hare.
