Okay I know that Lolita has a small tank, but they're trying to buy a bigger tank for her! I know some of the tanks are dirty but the animals might feel threatened besides the dolphins have babies so they might think that the people who clean the tanks might want hurt their young. But I know that they're trying to clean up the tanks okay so chill the hell out they're working their hardest to make this Seaquarium the best way they can.

Had the best time here. It was fun and also very informative. The show's were absolutely amazing. It took around 4 hours to walk through the whole park and see all the show's available at that time. A little side note: to get good seats you should arrive 15 minutes beforehand as it gets quite crowded. Overall a great place to spend s day with your family.

We did this as a very special birthday present for our son. Spent $350 to get to hang out with dolphins for 30 minutes (My son, myself, and my husband observing). Thought this was a private one on one thing for the cost. Ended up spending 30 minutes with 4 groups of people, 5 to 8 people in each group, taking turns. Got to feed the dolphin 1 fish, shake it's hand (fin), give it a kiss, get a picture taken with it jumping behind us, touch it's back, and see it's eye, blow hole, and ear up close. At the end, the photos were not included. They cost $95 for each book OR I think $160 (got a discount ha ha) for both his and mine. We could choose to have only the online pics for $120 (or around there). Very expensive for what we got. Otherwise, the park was pretty good, but kind of small. Favorite things were the sting rays and the killer whale, but I'm hoping they have somewhere bigger for them to go to sometimes. Otherwise, that would be pretty sad.

The animal shows were just to presentations with 5 minute shows lost the children's attention lost the adult's attention lost any desire to help contribute to the environment because everybody was wasting away in the heat to. There's it way to present things to humans this is not it. This is subpar the Denver aquarium beats this by a landslide

My husband took me here for my birthday last week as I ve always wanted to see a penguin. We did the penguin encounter and it was an amazing experience. The employees were very nice and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We also got to see all the shows and we had a very fun day. My one complaint is that the vending machines ( or at least the ones we tried to use) did not work and took our money. Also, the bathrooms were not kept well but other than that everything was great and we hope to come back soon.

This aquarium is extremely overrated. The price is outrageous and the exhibits are really just not good. It is unclear if they actually do treat the animals with care, however, the tanks and pools are extremely small compared to the size of these aquatic mammals. The staff was extremely unfriendly. I encountered many people who were just plain rude. I would not recommend wasting your money here.

We absolutely love love the Miami seaquarium. My husband and I take our daughter everyone we are in town!! She loves the fish and the shows.... I would recommend this for everyone family. It is amazing how they rescue animals and help them.. I've always heard how places like this are bad but they do a lot of good deeds protecting animals from being killed off.

Seemed like some of the tanks were way too small that was a hefty price to pay to view such blatant animal abuse I know I know the price is for the care of the animals an medical stuff but if you provided them better tanks they might not need as much medical attention! Or better yet let them be free

Please do your homework people, DO NOT BUY TICKETS TO DOLPHIN & ORCA SHOWS. Ignorance by society is the only reason these people get away with tearing a young orca from her family and forcing her into slavery to do tricks for money. Lolita has been here for 43 years. Each day that passes is another day she is kept from her natural habitat, away from her family, and involved in this miserable existence. Watch Blackfish, watch The Cove. Understand what happens when a marine mammal is captured and forced into confinement. STAND WITH ORCAS! FREE LOLITA. FREE THE DOLPHINS!

As a long time south Florida resident, after 40 years, I returned with my wife and two boys aged 8 and 5. As a season pass holder to Disney and Sea World, I truly LOVED this park! rather than comparing it with those high tech parks, The seaquarium filled my boys with such joy to be able to touch , smell and feel the exhibits. You get closed to all of them. It is truly an incredible experience. it reminds me of old Florida before Disney. The Flipper show (my boys got to be part of it!), the dolphin experience and the killer whale show were all educational and fun. although we take the kids on a lot of trips, I cannot think of a more enjoyable day than we had yesterday! good value, and an experience your will cherish!

Killer Whales need more room to swim. The tank at this park is so tiny it is revolting. Anyone who goes to this park and thinks the way they keep their animals is acceptable it either a complete moron or does not care about animals at all.

The only interesting thing was the killer whale show and the dolphin show somewhat. The tank is WAY too small, it's just ridiculous. The other animals are kept in dirty conditions. As a whole, the place is super outdated. With Miami being such a popular city this is one sad way to represent it. Inhumane and boring.

It is probably the best place for children to make them aware about San Jose. There are numerous exhibits and the staff is amazingly helpful. Children love to have fun and learn, and hence this is the best place for children. . Last week, I went here with my family and the kids in the family had a lot of fun along with learning.

Sad and depressing. Keeping that beautiful orca in that tiny tank is just shameful. So many better places to visit while in Miami. I would never return.

We did the dolphin experience. It was just a photo op to charge $100s for pictures they take after the $100s you spend. I got to touch a dolphin. This is leagues away from the dolphin encounter I did before in the Keys. It was very hot which did not help. The killer whale show was worth seeing. Even though it literally took 30 mins to get, the funnel cake was very good.

I was here twice with my family like 15 years ago & absolutely loved it. From The Whale show 2 the Dolphin Show & the Sea lion show. Thos flamingos r gorgeous & it was sooooo hilarious 2 hear the sea lions roar on the microphones throughout the entire aquarium. If u r in Miami i'd definitely recommend u come over 2 have a blast & enjoy this wonderful aquarium.

I had an awesome time here. I love how they make the shows both fun and educational. They talked about how the animals there don't have to find food on their own and worry about predators so they give them mental and physical stimulation by training them for the shows and spending time with them. Cool place and you can really tell that they care about the animal's physical and mental well-being.

The exhibits are pretty cool and the shows are really entertaining. The vending machines feels a bit overpriced though ($3.00 for a water bottle!) The animal interactions (swimming with the dolphins or swimming with the seals) are really fun! A great place to go during the weekend with your family. I have been to Miami Seaquarium a lot of times, and in my opinion, it never gets old. Just try to get a coupon or something before you visit, the admission is a bit pricey.

Parking is $10 cash, so just keep that in mind. Bring sunscreen/hats, as parts of it are outside (walking between exhibits, the seating areas of some of the shows). The price per adult is pretty high ($45) so try to get your tickets during sales or find Groupons. Loved the stingray petting pool! The park does a good job on educating the public about conservation and rehabilitation of sick/injured sea life. I am not giving a higher rating because I feel that the larger animals (whales, dolphins, manatees, etc) don't have enough room in their habitats and I'd like to see those programs phased out/kept at a minimum so as to avoid exploiting them for cash.

If your looking for a BEAUTIFUL well maintained and overall wondrous experience, then you certainly want to go someplace else. If you want to go to a place to see creatures that are better off dead than living then this is the place for you. Eat before you go, and Make sure you take ALOT of Antidepressants before you enter.
Sorry if I offend anyone, but I am going to be Blatantly Honest. I have been to MANY aquariums throughout the USA, but have Never been so disappointed as I was with this experience. Never have I seen such appalling mistreatment of aquatic life as this place. The solitary Loggerhead turtle living all alone in a moat-like setup under a sea of trash. (use a skimmer for goodness sake) They have a Reef Aquarium as an attraction that had only 1 sea turtle, 2 stingrays, and about 100 yellowtail snapper. This was a massive 2 story tank that had tons of way overgrown Algae on rocks and not a speck of coral. At least the New England Aquarium puts in the effort to add fake coral and clear water to give its occupants a reason to live. I m surprised the fish contained therein don't jump out in a vane attempt at suicide.
The Dolphin aquarium exhibit was so cloudy the only time you could actually see a dolphin through the cracked and yellowed acrylic windows was when it was 2 feet in front of you. They have a single 8,000 pound Female Orca living with 2 Pacific white sided Dolphins in a tank that was way to small and gloomy for such magnificent creatures. If you go, you will surely know why they made the movie Free Willy .
Yes, they did have 2 attributes that we did truly enjoy; 1) The petting tanks where you could touch and interact with Horseshoe Crabs, Bamboo Sharks and Stingrays. 2) Available Interactions with Sea Lions, Penguins and Dolphins for premium prices. The latter costing over $260 per person!
Food: If you can actually find a restaurant that is open, your in pretty good shape. Then your concern should be Do they really have in stock the food they are advertising! Is it going to be edible? Do I want to wait in line for over an hour to get gross, way over priced food ? Trust me, You are better off bringing food in from the outside or just sticking with pretzels and Ice cream. Sorry, I know thats kinda mean but you have to understand our situation; We were there all day and we got hungry, we have 3 kids, my wife and I and both my parents. The first restaurant we went to had an hour long line, the second and third restaurants were closed, the fourth sold BBQ and advertised sweet buttery corn on the cobb and Jumbo Hot Dogs. The kids and my dad were all in for the hot dogs and my mom wanted the corn. So after spending 30 minutes waiting in line for the 4 people ahead of us, we finally got to order only to be told that they don't carry Hot dogs or corn in this location any more. This place Sucks is all I could think of. How can you advertise something and not carry it. No apologies, just a shrug from an uncaring employee.
I would LOVE to give even a good review for this place, but cant really think of much to offer. It was so sad to see the living situations of these creatures and I truly felt bad for the miserable lives they have. For a place that heavily advertises their care for rehabilitation of wounded or at risk sea creatures they should have their license to operate rescinded. What do they do with their Grant money or income from sales? They certainly don't put it into updating their facility. Super poorly maintained and overall depressing. This is definitely a place you don't want to waste your Time or Money.
They DID have electric carts for less able people but that didn't help much as they sort of worked. If you do have trouble walking make sure you pay the extra $40 per cart so you don't trip over the unbelievably uneven ground. There are tripping hazards everywhere you look.
This was by far the most poorly maintained sea encounter I have ever seen and I feel bad for the aquatic lives that are destroyed here.

I brought my daughter who was 4 at the time to Seaquarium and was appalled at the inhumane conditions of the tanks and the cleanliness of the facility. The Orca tank is supposedly the smallest tank of any Orca recorded (after reading reviews afterwards) and the dolphin and other tanks are small as well. I will not be going back even though I bought an annual pass at the front ticket counter as it was only a few dollars more than the daily pass. Not a good experience - this facility should be shut down permanently.

A great place but overpriced. 50 bucks entry then each action adventure at separate charges of 25 bucks. The dolphin show is hopeless only talk and talk and talk that too useless. The seal show and killer whale show are really fun. Worth. Other lot of areas are closed due to hurricane Irma which the person at ticketing would never tell you. For small kids it's good to see. The penguins and most underwater creatures in hard glass cases. The information team is super boring and total waste . It's a nice place overall if managed properly. Need lot of improvement in the show timings . If u plan to go please reach around 10am. Don't go in noon as many activities would be closed.

My daughter had a wonderful time. We went during the week leading up to mother's day. Most concessions weren't open and no staff about to ask questions to. Birds are either bored or sick as they are taking all their feathers out. Also the cool most sprayers weren't working. Overall I had memiores from when I was a child going to the Seaquarium and was able to share the experience with my child now.

Would give 0 stars if I could, anyone looking to visit an aquarium this is NOT the one, I have never been to this aquarium and I never wish to, but I have heard all the too many stories of this place including my sisters experience there which cost her $400 as a family, and said was probably the biggest waste of money she ever spent. On top of that I'm sure you have all heard about the orca living there kept in a tank much too small for her, without any contact with any other orca since 1980, having been separated from her mum all the way back in 1970 when she was just a baby, and then 10 years later her fellow orca COMMITTED SUICIDE(yes whales can do that) , that is how horrible this situation is. Please I urge you not to go so that we can close this place down and release Lolita (the orca) back into the wild finally so that she can rejoin her pod after nearly 40 years apart.
