The Miami Seaquarium enslaves marine life in unsafe conditions.. please do not support them. Free the Orcas, free Lolita, stop exploiting animals Miami Seaaquarium! Wish I could rate 0 stars and to people like Michelle LeJeune would you say a bathtub for someone to live in is fair treatment, stop being so uneducated and open your eyes. Lolita is a slave and your a slave supporter if you go here!

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Not worth the money AT ALL. We even did the Dolphin Encounter and ONLY for the experience was it worth the money. The lady went through everything so fast we were probably done in 20 mins. On top of the extra charge for the tickets you have to pay $45 per picture OR over $100 for the 4 picture book they pre make for you or another package. Total rip off. $10 for parking too. I'll NEVER visit this garbage place again, you shouldnt either!

They had good shows. There was a whale show, which was a little disappointing because I expected the whale to do more tricks and I thought the whale should be in a bigger tank. The Dolphin show was also interesting .

If you expect thrill, high tech and stunning effects, it's nothing for you. However, if you want your children to learn about the sea animals, watch and touch some of these from pretty close, and learn a bit of how kind people care for these passionately, you don't waste a single penny on this.

Customer service is terrible. Everyone has an attitude. I called and paid and made a reservation for one of their attractions and they scheduled it wrong and then I rescheduled it in person and they then scheduled it got the wrong attraction again and didn't have any time that accommodated us so I asked for a refund and they said No... first and last time going here.

Not the best it's like Sea World in Miami... People are mad rude and employees have no control during shows. You go into a show after waiting in line and people come in late and walk, stand and even take pictures blocking people who waited (in the sun) to get a good seats. They didn't check our tickets when we went in so technically we probably didn't need to buy any... Their employees just don't care. Only positive was its fairly inexpensive and way closer than Sea World. But this place is Bootleg!!! See my pictures.

Had a terrible experience with rude staff in June 2013, and were invited back "to make it right." We went back and were told we had free entry and a photo collection comped. I explained to the staff member that because we ad already purchased passes in anticipation of loving it as we had before that the re entry was not valid. I was told they would keep us on the book for re-entry for the next time we were in Miami without passes. I have been trying for 2 days to confirm our passes so we could try the seaquarium out again. I have left 3 messages, and talked to people at the seaquarium who can't find our passes and offered no help. It is so incredibly disappointing when people say things will be one way, and you find them to be another. I can't believe I was entertaining the idea (dependent on this experience) of buying passes again. Obviously the customer service (or lack there of) has not been put into an upswing since our last visit. I guess we will just have to buy passes to the Atlanta aquarium when we get back home to make my kiddos happy. So disappointed, I thought that someones word that our passes would be there would be enough. So now, we are on our last day of vacation with nothing planned, and we wasted a day yesterday waiting on a call back! Terrible.

It's a nice place to take the kids. Unfortunately there is not a lot of options for healthy food or sugar-free drinks. None of the soda machines had diet Pepsi, and the service at the small kiosks is terribly slow.

The shows make a good effort to educate people about conservation efforts.

My suggestion would be to invest a little bit more on a outdoor playground (where children don't have to get wet - there is a splash playground) with some shade that could entertain the kids for 45min while the parents sit and have a drink and a snack.

I don't where they're finding the people to work in the restaurants, but the ones working in the Cafe were beyond rude, unprofessional and slow at preparing. Not the kind of service you'd expect at the prices you have to pay. Learn some people skills.

It was a nice to go, but the staff need improvement. I called multiple times because I was bit up by sand fleas all down my legs and arms from the kids play area. Told the staff and called multiple times, and never got a call back. Made me sure feel like this didnt mean anything to them. My legs are scarred up because I have reactions to these types of bites. But glad they got my money on all the extras.

Miami Seaquarium is the place to visit! They have a lot of activities that will keep you busy for at-least half a day! Dolphin encounter was one of them and was an amazing experience! I thought it was a bit pricey, but playing with dolphins was one of the things on my list! From whales, dolphins, manatee, penguins this place is worth the visit!

I must admit I was highly disappointed with this park. The tanks were VERY small for all of the animals, I kept asking my boyfriend if he thought there were other tanks. Parts of the park were shut down due to the hurricane, which isn t mentioned anywhere on the website. It seems like a run down tourist attraction that will be available for abandoned photo shoots soon. The food establishments didn t even open at lunch time so we had to rely on the consession stand. We bought an icee and a frozen banana... for $20. Plus parking was a bit pricey considering it wasn t monitored by anyone besides the person collecting the money. Thankfully our children weren t with us or they would have been bored beyond belief. Spend the extra money and go to Orlando, it s worth the drive and the extra money. You also wouldn t have to deal with the protestors that hover the enterance of the park.

We had a great time. Some of the family did the Dolphin Encounter, which was a once in a lifetime experience. The only downside, we went out of season, so none of the food stalls were open, and the vending machines weren't working.

The top deck show was the best out of our experience but other than that this was quite boring. The shows were about 15-20 mins and not very entertaining. The seaquarium itself was really small. A lot of the attractions were closed. Even Lolita the whale was closed due to her being old and her tank is too small for her so we could not even look at her. Very disappointed. This is not a typical aquarium with plenty of fish. They really need to focus more on the educational part of the aquarium itself. The little fish they did have displayed didnt even have the name of what they were. Probably wont be back until they bring the killer whale show back or they renovate.

I only put one star because there is no option to put zero. I give you a big fat ZERO STARS! It's a lovely place if you want to watch beautiful creatures suffer in captivity. It's gross to profit off the suffering of living beings. Imagine living in a bathtub your entire life and not having relationships with family members, that's how these animals feel. Please don't be fooled by the marketing schemes and lies that this place spreads. If you want to see whales, go whale watching.

To ALL of the people that say they wouldn't go because they "mistreat" the animals... I say there is nothing farther from the truth!!! Today we were able to talk to one of Lolita's (the killer whale) trainers. She was explaining how Lolita is a diva and they even have to cut and take the guts out of her salmon before she will even eat it. She would not survive in the wild... I wish uneducated people would stop saying to free Lolita. She seems to be healthy and happy. She is 50 years old...the oldest whale in human care. If one wants to pretend they know what they are talking about, they would KNOW that whales do NOT have to breathe...if she is unhappy she had 50 years to get out of it...at the very least!! My daughter is studying to be a marine biologist. Since age 5 she began researching every whale in human care, their ancestry, their likes and dislikes...and has met all/studied all of them in the US. If I have to have one complaint I have would have to say that the facility upkeep of the public areas of show seating...needs a little TLC.

This place is just horrible, mainly all the people you see writing reviews saying how GREAT and fun it was, are most likely people who work or know someone who works there! This has got to be the most cruelest place for sea animals. A fun Sea Show? more like a HORROR SHOW!! Please do not support this horror story of a place.

I personally feel it's more for children now how ever me being a child at heart and highly obsessed with water and dolphins I loved it!!! it is a little pricey the shows are brief and some were hard to locate so we arrived after it had already begun but again my obsession with water and dolphins accommodated that for me personally. and the hands on options was an amazing experience as well very pleased looking forward to getting to swim with the dolphins now

This place is an amazing park! The way they take good care of the animals just brings a tear to my eye <3. As I get older and have children they will come here to learn about different animals in hopes that they will want to do volunteer work or maybe even get a job in the field. I would recommend Miami Seaquarium to anyone that wants a good time, and wants to support the education of our children.

Great place to spend a Sunday with the family away from the city, normal price seems a bit high compared to the activities inside but they do offer good promotions frequently, maybe they need to add more attractions inside and probably expand them a little more.

The shows are decent but given the size of the park and the fact that when we went (August) almost all food stalls were closed, makes it very poor value for money (paid $180 to get in for family of 4)

Do you like aquariums of the sea? Then you'll love this place! We went here for an animal encounter. The entire experience was fantastic. Great trainers and a great session with Seals. The only thing I'll say is the price for the photos are outrageous $45 for a single photo is insane. Make sure to ask anyone else nearby to take photos for you.

This place should be shut down for animal cruelty. Not only is the orca tank smaller than mandated by law, but she s kept alone. They state she s there for conservation efforts started in the 1970s..... the height of orca capture is hardly conservation. Now she has to share her tiny bathtub with captive dolphins, both of whom are in a climate much too hot for their wellbeing. Tokitae is a SRO of which there are less than 100 remaining due to this type of entertainemnt. It s sickening and she can often be seen logging and knocking her head against the wall in frustration and stress, none of which of normal behaviors (they will tell you they are though). DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS PLACE. SHUT. IT. DOWN

Had a great time visiting the Dolphin Experience. Was amazed that they tried to sell us photographs after as if the experience was free. Don't make someone pay over $100 for an experience then try to sell them the photos for $95. The digital camera is far from new and you could gain more customers not trying to squeeze money out of people. Just provide free photographs as part of the experience and you'll be sure to draw more customers. The experience itself delivered on it's promise and then some so be sure to visit!

This place has a record of over 300 dolphin and marine animals deaths in captivity.

What's ironic is people balk at eating a killing a whale or dolphin but are perfectly fine keeping it in a bathtub for their amusement while most of them die a slow and traumatic death in isolation.

The park was FULL of bees. FULL!!! I spent 3 hours swatting bees away and had to leave after just 2.5 hours because I couldn't take it anymore. The garbages in some areas had swarms of them. Any dried up spilled soda had swarms. I couldn't sit to enjoy my food and constantly worried they'd bite my toddler. Horrible experience.

We come here about once a year (Veterans Day) maybe twice if my son has a school trip. Overall I think we come here so much that I am kind of tired of it. The exhibits are nice, however I wish that they offered more. It's almost boring in a sense. Even my son seems tired of it. One thing I will never get tired of though, is the killer whale show. That massive animals are so intelligent. Oh and the dolphins. I like them too.

If you've never been, definitely take your kids and get the full experience. But you can almost also wait for the school field trip. That way you only have to pay for one and not the whole family. Why should everyone be bored?

How times have changed! Back then, everyone used to enjoy going to Miami Seaquarium. Nowadays, it's seen as animal cruelty and I'm afraid I'll have to agree. A lot of the critters here are cooped up in small tanks and forced to perform tricks for this place to make a quick buck. What a shame.

Awesome experience, animals are very interactive.

Food workers could be more polite and appropriate. Review was going to be 5 stars, but on the way out I ordered a pizza combo. Had to eat my pizza quickly because birds swarmed around me in the eating area and then one of the female food stand workers made an assuming comment that they wouldn t do that unless I were feeding them (which for the record, I wasn t).

Facilities are a little dated. But the animal care seems good. All animals we saw looked healthy and showed signs of content not stressed. I was with my daughter who is an animal behavioral specialist. The restaurant for humans was dirty though! That was the only problem we encountered. Overall the visit was enjoyable.

Loved it this time around, been going there for years, food is expensive but the shows make it worthwhile, you can send half a day there and see the whole park and all the shows. Very knowledgeable staff, very professional trainers, love the way you can educate people about conwrvsing the environment.
