Loves being able to see the animals up close, and my favorite part was the dolphins. they came right to me and went nose to nose at the glass. Only downside is the food. Expensive food, little amounts, and the tiniest cup to drink and no free refills.

Do not waste your time in this place. Even if you get a free ticket and a free parking, don't bother going. This place is not worth your time. Anything is better than spending time here. From the facilities till the attractions nothing is worth for the normal ticket.
Coming here was a big mistake. I still cant believe that a place like this exists in Miami. THERES NO AIR CONDITIONING ANYWHERE IN THE PARK. Within about two minutes of entering the place i really, really wanted my money back.
Went here for the Easter weekend. The Bunny Palooza Event was great for the kids. Variety of fun for kids 2 and up. I gave it a three star because once you go to Sea World, Miami Seaquarium seems like the baby.
Free Lolita!!!!!!!! This is outrageous! Do not go to this park all your doing is making Lolita sad the more of you go the longer she stays ! STOP THIS !!! Just don't buy the ticket. No ticket No show,no show Lolita can be free Do the right thing!!!!!!! Iv taken the pledge not to go I will not support them! I SUPPORT LOLITA only!
Amazing shows with the large marine animals, you really get the impression they are well cared for. Only drawback is there isn't a lot to see between shows. The dolphin oddessy is worth the money!
I brought my little girl and my family for her birthday on the 25th of Feb. It was a great day and we enjoyed ourselves. My little girl was a little sad though, the play ground was close and she was looking forward to play on it. She did have a chance to do the thing that you strap yourselves on and climb up. We enjoy the killer whale and the children had a blast. The shows were great. Thank you guys. It was an amazing day! :)
Horrible Horrible Place! Super run down, inhumane conditions for the animals. Their killer whale was kidnapped from her family in the wild 40 years ago and his been living in a tiny tank that is below regulation size. Do NOT support this place! DO NOT BUY A TICKET!!! Spend your money elsewhere and look at killer whales and dolphins online. You will get a much more realistic experience of how these animals live and interact with each other watching videos of them in the wild then you will watching them preform repetitive circus tricks!
A small sea centre but worth a visit whilst staying in Miami. We did the sea trek in a fish tank which was amazing. Can also have dolphin experiences here.
I have been to over 30 separate aquariums throughout the states and this one by far was the worst. The dolphins looked extremely sad and in tiny homes for 3 to 4. Water looked disgusting. Half of the place was closed fown. Frankly this place should be shut down. They do jot care for the animals. If they did they would update every single home for the animals and do it the proper way. The only commendable thing I saw here was the fact they use natural seawater and filter then pump it back into yhe ocean. The way everything looked though, Im not even sure if that is even effective. Shame on these guys.
This place is not worth $50 a ticket. Lame af and we wanted to do the reef encounter but they didn't even advertise that it's only Wed-Sun! So we came there for nothing! I'd take my money back in a heartbeat.
I found Seaquarium Miami to be a sad experience. Tanks for the sea life were small and crowded, music blared constantly, and all seemed geared toward making more money. The food was horrid and overpriced. The dolphin encounter was a high, although the extreme focus on photo ops diminished the experience.
The place is not that big and some attractions were closed and the barbeque restaurant. I got the yearly pass and don't think it was worth it. The food prices are outrageous! Two small pizza silces and a bottle of water $13.00. Eat before you go there. I recommend going in the cooler months. I returned only because I have the yearly pass and again some of the restaurants were closed. Don't understand why...
Went on a rainy Tuesday. They won't honor their online price or resident price. $100 for 2 people. Get into the park and the majority of the food stands are covered with tarps and closed. All the outdoor kids games are not running. The shows that we saw were ok, nothing spectacular but the kids liked it. How can you charge full price and have so much closed. Don't forget that extra $10 they charge you to park in their very poorly maintained parkinglot. Paid $40 for a meal that a prisoner would have complained about. Better food is served for free at local soup kitchens. The family restroom near the dolphin tank has a window unit air conditioner filled with mold. The clincher : a $10 picture frame falls off the shelf in the flipper gift shop and an employee comes running demanding we pay for it. They go as far as bringing in more employees and making my wife watch security footage of the $10 peice of trash falling on the floor. This place is an overpriced bad joke and should be closed. I will never return, management should be embarrassed that their sole existence is running this park into the ground.
Miami Seaquarium is nice but I don't think that is worth the price I don't know how much it cost to keep up this place but it looks like a little not run down but it looks like it could use some updating. It's a nice activity to do with the kids for the day but for the maintenance that it has I think you should be like a $15 ticket instead of a $20 ticket
There was a "promotional picture" with the dolphins, for 55 dollars, that's a great price, if you can to see everything that they promised: 1)you can touch the dolphins. 2) you can give them a kiss. Among some other things... Well guess what? You are not permitted to do such things. I
The animal encounters and shows are wonderful! We did the Seal Swim and it was the best close-up encounter I've ever had. That said, facilities (bathrooms) are in poor condition, the food service is terrible, and except for the animal folks, customer relations leaves much to be desired. We put up with terrible food, bad service, and apathetic/rude/disengaged employees just to enjoy the animals and shows. That's poor management!! Thank goodness the animals are well cared for. MS needs to learn a lot about to how to make the entire visitor experience wonderful.
There are so many fun exhibits and shows. It's a great place to have fun with family and learn about so many different marine animals. Definitely check out the sting rays and get to feed them yourself-- such an amazing experience!
Me and my friends spent almost 50 dollars to get in this seaquairium and it was a total bust all the animals looked sad and like they didn t want to be there the lady at the sea lion exhibit was rude the only good thing about this seaquairum is the whale and dolphin shows
This is absolutely horrible! This orca is kept in a tank only 1 1/2 times her length... for the last 30+ years. SO AWFUL. Please, don't ever visit the Miami Seaquarium.. it's a level of animal abuse that I can't handle.
This place opened my eyes to animal exploitation. Everything is about taking a photo with a animal in a bare tank. I watched a iguana with no claws be tossed person to person for pictures. I payed for educational experience with dolphins but turned into take a picture when I just wanted some educational information on dolphins. The walls are bare and have little factual information. So educational this place is not. I was mortified I payed to come here. I felt so guilty and will never visit any place like it ever agian.
Went here and found the tanks were dirty with green water. Also saw that they kept Lolita out in the storm where filtration pumps could have failed during power outages. Disgusting!
Fantastic place to bring young children, although much of the park is in the sun. The exhibits & shows themselves are somewhat protected, it's still a good idea to wear sunscreen. It's also nice that all animal shows are included in the cost of the ticket, and are spread out fairly well so they all can be watched during a whole day there.
Upon entering, there is a large "touch" pool which reminds me of a scene in finding dory.
If you participate in the touch pools, you will most likely get wet.
Further on, there is a large fenced off area for the flamingos to hang out. Apparently there are iguanas in the same are, but we only saw one.
The sting/manta ray exhibit was my son's favorite. He got to touch the manta rays as they swam around. They also offer feeding times for the rays about every 2-3 hours where you can purchase a bag of fish for $5 to feed the rays. My son LOVED that as well.
I visited the Miami Seaquarium last weekend with my family. We had a great time. I would highly recommend setting aside a three hour visit here. It s the perfect amount of time to check out any of the shows, the aquariums and exhibits they have. The science staff is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you have. They re very friendly and have truly dedicated their careers to studying and helping the animals they have rescued. Please do not let the negative reviews deter your desire to come here. It s truly worth visiting.
We used to love going to the Miami Seaquarium. Their shows however are the same year after year and it gets rather monotonous. Not such a big deal for the little ones as they still enjoy it, but when you mix in poor service that is when there is a problem. We visited today with my father and wanted to take our own picture as well as get the "professional" one done, and they stopped me from taking mine. In the past they would hover and take the animal away very quickly to try and attempt to not give you time to snap a picture, but this time they just said no. The "professional" pictures are TERRIBLE, blown out, and not professional in the least bit and to try and force someone to purchase this garbage after paying $200+ for their family to go is just ludicrous. I hate that I purchased their Summer pass, and will NOT be recommending this place to anyone else!
Went for my first time today, and it was not what I expected. It was small and there were a couple things closed. Very disappointing. Not worth the money even being discounted because I am a Florida resident. Only 2 areas were putting on shows. It looks like the animals don t get treated fair there. Heard over 200 animals died there, my guess is there living conditions. Drove 2 hours to only see everything in a little less than an hour. Oh and I called a head of time to ask a question.. starting wait time to talk to someone by phone was at 4 minutes then increased over 20 minutes. Was on the phone for 31 minutes and still was in line waiting. But I hung up.
Too expensive for what they have to show of different animals. Everything looks run down. The two dolphin shows were good and basically the only thing worth going for. All other experiences cost extra...on top of an already expensive ticket.
I think this was my first time ever going here. The crowd wasn't bad as in busy. It did not rain. I think the best part about it was the killer whales but my personal favorites were the manatees. I believe because they're so lonely and no one was taking pictures of them and they're so huge!!!! They had like two little pool areas swimming back and forth just 1 of them. All together they get five stars from me.
We visited at the right time of the year - Winter! Traffic, parking, and getting in was quick. We were able to enjoy everything this place has to offer, and it was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and took the time to answer any of our questions about the animals. I found the Penguins to be very unsociable...almost rude, but the dragon roaming the grounds when we left even posed for a picture with me, classy dragon!
Wasn't impressed. Not much to see unless you catch a show which are far and few in between. Hurricane Irma hit a year ago and not much love has been put back into it.
Biggest ripoff ever. Very dirty, no air conditioning, very tiny, and a true exploitation of its mammals and other sea creatures. I've seen better care for both the aquarium and it's creatures than this. It's not worth it. Save your 50.00 dollars and go somewhere else. It was absolutely disgusting.
i would give this place zero stars. parking is $10. i booked my reservation online, when i arrived, workers said they unable to validate online reservation, i had to pay twice. the rooms and exhibition were small. and very limited. there was no AC anywhere, excerpt the cafe was below 100 degrees, a little cooler than outside. i finished the entire exhibit in less than 1 hour. not worth it.
Update needed pronto. It was smaller than expected and there are almost no shows that are interesting enough to withstand the direct sunlight a costing you for the average 20 minutes of so called entertainment. Not even worth it from an educational standpoint since their viewing tanks are so filthy there is nothing to view.
Affordable, family friendly place. All the shows are great and I very much enjoyed all the opportunities offered to interact with the animals. The park is well prepared for the climate offering numerous misting areas to make our visit very bearable with the weather conditions of 103.
We came an hour before closing and missed three shows from four. But we really liked the dolphins show. I highly recommend to get whole specter of emotions by standing close to pool. But bring with you spare clothes. Even if they open till 6, better to come early to see all shows. Something is a little bit old but tickets are not too overpriced and I believe they will upgrade soon.
It's a very run down place...a lot of the animals were not there during my visit last week. Alligators were returned to the Glades and sharks were not there either because of the hurricane, apparently. If it wasn't because of the orca the whole experience would suck really bad. Unless you buy tickets at a deep discount it's not worth it.
Sea lions, dolphins and orca shows were great. Food was meh. Where do they put all the money they rake in? Park is tired looking and employees aren't very helpful. The trainers work hard and put on a fun and educational show.
The talks were informative and the shows were excellent. The kids have a lot of fun at the live shows. We visited the Seaquarium 3 years ago and enjoyed the experience then also. One criticism this visit is the place is starting to look a little rundown. Otherwise we enjoyed our day.
It's a bit expensive but if you search online you can find deals, the best deal is during summer where you can buy a bundle deal to visit this and 3 other attractions.
The Whale / Dolphin show is the best and by far the most popular, be prepared to get soaked and on a hot summer day it's welcomed.
You can interact with Animals which is aways a plus when your visiting an animal park.
