I left feeling near depressed for the poor Animals. And I'm no greeny. The tanks are bare, minimal room, no toys for the animals. Even their "coral reef" enclosure was just a tank with a few bolders. The crocodiles seemed to be the only ones with enough room.

Read when the park opened and you will understand why.
Really should be shut down.

It's a great place to visit with family. It has huge tanks with different kinds of fish in them. Great for kids or even adults. I, myself ,had so much fun in here. They also have show at specific times. Make sure to keep the schedule paper they give you.

One thing to note, everything you buy in here is going to be on the pricey side of things. A water bottle for example is 3 bucks and so on.

Have fun in here

In my opinion, this is one of the most cruel places on earth. If the owner of this place has any heart, they should immediately release Lolita to the sea sanctuary prepared for her by people who care about her. This place is such a prime example of human greed and cruelty disguised in the name of education and care. Please do not go to this place.

Poor value and way overpriced. During the shows you get 5 minute lecture about preserving the environment and eating only sustainable fish to preserve the marine life. This is all very nice but they are hypocrites and keep these poor animals in unnatural spaces to ridiculous actions to please the crowds. If they really cared about the environment they would shut this place down.

Nice place kinda dated and it's showing it's age but for the money it's not bad. The shows were all good the staff mostly friendly (don't take your baby stroller in restaurants they REALLY don't like that) and the ice cream place only had cookie dough ice cream. They should definitely start updating before it's too late looks exactly the same as it did 13 years ago except more peeling paint

Huge waste of time and money. $10 for parking, then another $45 per person for basic admission. There are very few exhibits, the park was extremely dirty with trash and spilled food all over the place, the living conditions for the animals was pretty upsetting. 6 dolphins in that tiny pool? And crocs in shallow chlorinated water? Half the exhibits were either closed or had people doing the animal encounter so you can't even see the animals without looking at the tourists in the exhibit too. The cleanliness of the consessions stand wouldn't have even been acceptable in a McDonald's.

Very very wonderful, spectacular, the animals are great, lovely. I recommended definitely!!!

Carmen and Grecia were super nice and welcoming. The Dolphin Harbor was so much and fun and the dolphins were so cute. Overall the experience was unforgettable and I would love to come back again.

An obvious win for the little ones, so long as you like to sweat for most of the day. Lots of shows and exhibits. Admission and food are priced exactly where you would expect, so be prepared to spend money. Kids under 3 are free though.

Good place to come especially when the weather is bad. The place is not big but very well organized. The shows are about 20 min. long, which is more than enough, especially if you are visiting with small kids. Mammals are fun and a good experience to look at.

Even with discounted price is not worth it. They open up at 10 but we stay there until 12 and no one open for lunch. Are the restaurants and bar closed on Sunday? I found it very weird especially because I have a 15 months baby that was very hungry when we realized there was no place to go and we had to run. Plus a piece of advice for the crew, smile a little bit more and be a little more participating when guest ask you questions about animals? the only smile was from the girl at the entrance. The main dolphin show was very nice but was the only thing we could see. we missed the sea lions for a little and then playground was closed and unfortunately that day also whales was closed for maintenance. Anyway not worth it the price.

When I bought the tickets they said it was the biggest aquarium in the states, if that is true, you Americans really need to up your aquariums game cause this place was really small, lacked of fun attractions and is extremely overpriced, I would've rather gone to the beach, more action seen there and the animals aren't caged

I WISH THERE WAS A NO STAR'S CHOICE CAUSE THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE. THE TRAINERS INSTEAD OF SPLASHING THE CHILDREN DECIDED TO SPLASH THE TWO ADULTS THAT SAT AWAY FROM EVERYONE SO NOT TO GET WET GOT SPLASHED, NOT 1 BUT 2 TIMES! THE KIDS-0. EMPLOYEES ARE NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY AND IT'S REALLY SAD WHEN YOU SEE ONE LONELY ISOLATED ORCA IN A FISH TANK. NOT MUCH TO-DO SO DON'T WASTE $40 ON THIS TWO MINUTE PARK. MIGHT AS WELL GO SNORKELLING OFF CRANDON BEACH. WAY BETTER THINGS TO DO IN MIAMI!

Definitely mixed emotions today. We had a blast inside the park. Loved all of the shows and were full of smiles when we left. As soon as we walked to the car there was a female worker standing outside of a Toyota Prius with 2 other workers inside the car with their heads looking down. As soon as we approached the car the female standing outside WHISTLED to let the other workers know we had approached the car. Not thinking anything of it other then them doing something illegal we left quickly. We went down to the gas station about 2 blocks and noticed our car had been broken into. The door on the paint is chipped right by the window. (We would know since then is a rental) I then tried to call (this was 10 minutes prior to closing and no one answered your phone. Way to go Seaquarium and you guys rock

Funny

Plenty of things to do for your children wheelchair accessible however there's only one place in the area where there is the dolphin show the wheelchairs are not able to access that you will need to be able to climb a few flights of stairs.

Took my girlfriend there for a date. Was very disappointed. Dilapidated facilities and very few animals do not justify the $40 entry fee. Shows are boring and the management uses the "oldest oceanarium still operating in the US" as a crutch to not renovate. Miami Metro Zoo is less expensive and probably has more marine animals than this place.

I will not be returning to Miami Seaquarium.

Although much simpler than SeaWorld, Miami Seaquarium is great for kids. It has many good attractions, not as busy as its Orlando counterpart, many animals to see and the view outside of its area is also wonderful.
It's also much cheaper, which means you get a good deal.
Take your time at the entrance, as you'll see (and they allow you to touch) stingrays and other marine animals. Then, you'll be able to see Manatees, dolphins and seals, among others.
I had a great time with 4 kids, who also enjoyed our summer sunny day at Seaquarium.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE AQUARIUMS...despite all the controversy. However, this place is just cruel. It was hard to enjoy when the first thing I saw was a shark in the smallest tank I've ever seen. Then the trend continued. Big beautiful animals in tanks smaller than your pool. Lonely animals too. Why is there a random lone deer in the middle of the turtle exhibit. Not to mention their 50 year old orca whose spent her entire life with dolphins. If this place truly feels that they are rescuing these animals then they need to provide a better "sanctuary" or give the animals to someone who has the proper tools. Oh, and its ridiculously expensive! You would think with $10 parking and $47 entrance fee that they could do better. I'm only giving 2 stars because from looking around some people did seem to enjoy themselves.

Spent the day (and a lot of money) to go to the seal swim experience. I was a repeat customer and it was clear from the begining this was gonna be dissapointing.
From the poor preparation of the guides to the poor conditions the creatures are kept in to the clear and constant feeling that they just want to push the activity towards their incredible expensive photographs (most of the experience was focused towards "looking at the camera" instead of spending precious time actually teaching us and learning about the seals.

The entire experience just feel like a rip off and we all left very dissapointed.
This was a big contrast to the same swim experience we had 3 years ago.
Will most definitely not recommend and even would say save your money and stay away.

The prices are simply insane. Never mind the admission price, but to swim with the dolphin for $110 and not being able to send my child alone which means now we have to pay double is just disgusting. So basically a mom and a kid go in and they spend over $300 ?!?!! I hope the employees are making $50 an hour because this is just plain theft!!! And please don t tell us it s about the animals diet. $10 for a drink. Come on guys. What s next? Will you be charging for extra air?

I have to say why go to this place. It is animal abuse. The aquariam traps whales, dolphins, sea lions, etc in small tanks. A whale swimming in those small tanks is like the size of a bathtub for us. the whales have to do the same horrid tricks over and over , listen to the same music. They are not even given fresh fish. They are given farmed fish that has chemicals and is not good for the whale. if you look closely you can see scratch marks, blood, bruises on the whales because they go a little insane when caught in the same place and cannot go out. the sun is constantly on them, they have no protection. The Miami Seaquriam is a prison for the animals. If you care about animals at all at that torturous place do not go. If you go, you support animal abuse to the poor animals in this stupid seaquarium.

Awful! Half of the park was closed, namely the kids play area. The BBQ restaurant and most of the food shacks also shut down. The ice cream hut shut down in the middle of the day with no explanation. The shows were mediocre at best. I could go on but what's the point?

Free lolita her tank is truly illegal this place is pure animal abuse. If you at least care about your family's safety YouTube Lolita a slave to entertainment and skip to 25:10 and see how temporary construction Jacks hold your children up in a facility that is well past it's prime.

Most of the Park was closed due to the storm, there weren t any shows, nothing fun to do. The park overall wasn t kept up, dirty tanks, poop everywhere from unknown animals even on the ramp to the kids playground. The workers seemed bored and uninterested. Overall sucky.
But the dolphins were cute and seemed content.

Seaquarium was amazing and so much fun!! It's the best aquarium I've ever been to! The staff was really sweet to all the people and animals-you can tell the care for their animals a lot!

Disappointing experience. Way ovepriced. Animals in small bassins, especcially the manatee one. Dolphin show might be fun for small children, not for adults. Orca and dolphin show was closed for maintenance, so were part of the Aquariums. Overall everything looked quite outdated. Would definitely not recommend it.

It is very sad to witness a place with so much trajectory falling apart. It seems to be abandoned, the walls unpainted, rusty railings, dirty all around the establishment, the 2 main tanks with the water totally green and the restrooms in very bad shape.
And the shows nothing interesting for the kids.... besides the solash zone...They are only focus to the commerce, sale of souvenirs. Really??? with the price charged the entrance should reinvent the aquarium !!

I found this place to be overpriced. We paid around $40-$50 each for general admission and there is a $100-$200 upcharge for each interactive or special encounter. The actual grounds are spacious and well kept but slightly outdated. I found the staff to be very blase. We saw one live interactive show that was available with general admission. It's mainly a lot of walking around and viewing of animals in thier confined habitats. I feel for this price you could go to Sea World in Orlando and see & do much more.

Oh my god this is so sad. I was literally in tears watching it. I was just planning on taking my nephew here and googled the reviews and one said youtube Miami Seaquarium Lolita, I did so and I am glad I did. I was going to buy a total of 8 tickets but I would much rather find another place. It's not like there were average people speaking, there were researchers and biologists telling of how this poor animal is in a tank that is equivalent to us being in a tub and has been stuck there over 45 years (since 1970) and her capture was a massacre to her family while people watched in horror. One of the old workers who was a trainer here actually said he refused to work here and quit because the tank is so small the tail of the whale was resting on the bottom and her head was sticking all the way out of the water. I do hope the best and will help in any way I can. It's pathetic that Florida government officials will not do anything about it and saddens me that this beautiful majestic creature is just rotting away in a concrete death chamber. I am not from any organization just a regular person looking for some place fun to take my nephew. This is not it. The only way to end this is to just simply not buy a ticket they will soon see that if they don't free her they will have to close the doors.

Miami Seaquarium has had better days but now most of it's food and shop stands are closed. There is iguana poop everywhere. The aquariums look like they're not maintained well at all and there is this moldy popcorn smell coming from the rug. Compared to other aquariums their animal tanks seem to small for their larger animals, like the manatees for one and yes the orca for another. It's not a place I would be going again sadly. I give this place 2 stars instead of one because the staff was nice and polite with everyone and they made the experience easier to get through. But again as far as exhibits this place has had better days.
