so much to see here, you can easily spend all day walking around and looking at the art in the different buildings and not see it all. It's a pretty cool Museum with some permanent exhibits and some things that change.

You have to go for the van Gogh exhibit. It's stunning and super interesting too. It's not difficult to see that the Museum put a lot of effort into making sure there was a journey that the viewer could follow and emerge from bearing a general knowledge about the life, art, and connection between the two of van Gogh. The exhibit is only open til mid summer so capitalize on it while it's there.

The rest of the museum is also really nice. The American art, gilded age objects, and Renaissance sculptures are also really interesting. All of the art was also nicely captioned and I left the museum knowing more about art than I did before. Overall, it was a valuable and fun experience.

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston has a wonderful collection of art! It is everything you want an art museum to be. I find myself visiting throughout the year due to revolving exhibits. Several Picasso pieces are part of the permanent collection. Don't forget to hop across the street to the free sculpture garden!

An absolutely stunning museum that is a must see in the Houston area. Located in a central part of the Museum district, it's easy to reach by public transport from downtown on the light rail.

There are 2 massive buildings housing the largest collection of art work I have ever seen. It will take more than 1.5 hours just to walk through the entire museum without reading any of the descriptions.

The art work spans a wide variety of time and geographies but is laid out in a fashion that's not too confusing. The special exhibitions are worth checking out as they are extremely unique and unlikely to be found anywhere else.

Pricing is extremely reasonable and well worth the cost of admission. Staff are extremely friendly as well.

Really liked the exhibition (The British Royal Family). The museum is wheelchair accesible which is great.Their MFA cafe is fantastic. Try their Italian hot chocolate if you like that and you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful and wonderful place to visit if you a few hours to enjoy your own company, family, friends or even a nice place for a day date. It was a Thursday when we went and I couldn't believe it was FREE! It was a really great afternoon to see beautiful art and be apart of the Houston area that I love so much. @loveitorchuckit Reviews vote at this location and event at 85% with a Love it! The museum is wonderful! So much beautiful art all around. It was a busy, but we managed to go early and it wasn't as busy. So I definitely recommend to go early in the day or maybe during the week rather than the weekend if you're trying to avoid a crowd. I definitely recommend to everyone.

Nice museum. Extremely big. Tons of artwork. You are allowed to take pictures without the flash on. However, the only thing I didn't like was that the European/American artwork is separated from the Asian/African/Hispanic artwork. Personally I think they should mix the galleries to add some diversity; otherwise to me it looks like "white" art in one building and "people of color" artwork in the other smh

This is my favorite museum in Houston. Always has amazing exhibits as well as engaging opportunities like studies, presentations, and guided tours. Go down and see the Turrell tunnel on your way to the other side of the museum. People often forget that there is also a MFAH Films section and theater where you can watch indie films and foreign films.

Art is great but staff is very very very bad. Soon as I walked in the greeter was rude, I asked 4 different people where the restroom was and all gave different answers, the security in the exhibits act like you about to break the glass and steal and they do not speak even if you speak to them. The museum is hard to navigate and even when people see you struggling to find your way around they just stand there or walk away. Will never go back.

Beautiful, entertaining museum, with rare pieces, and helpful autoguide provided for some galleries. Was there for the temporary exhibition "Vincent Van Gogh: His Life in Art". Breathtaking!!

Im actually shocked that Im giving this a 1 star. I was so excited to see what Houston had to offer in Fine arts. I came here for my college project on Mexican American arts. You guys severely lacked in Mexican fine arts, which I was very disappointed. The big issue with my visit is the employees that work here. As I was visiting Beatrice gallery I swear I was being watched. Every where I went I see someone looking at my every move. Its like they thought id snatch a piece of art in my backpack. I dont know if its because I had a backpack on. Which keep in mind they gave me issues about it at the front desk and persistent that I keep my bag with my expensive camera behind the desk. Like no... I went on a Tuesday morning... you dont need 30 associates in 1 area just standing and watching like creeps. I will never come here again.

Amazing museum with selections from all eras and some I had never knew existed. They even have a whole floor of art from ancient egypt! There is too much to see in one day, you will have to come back to appreciate the whole thing. Staff is friendly and premises are clean.

Although the Museum is really nice but the parking is bad I was charged twice on my card and when I wanted to contact them to get a refund I called over six times but nobody helped me, they kept transferring me over the phone and eventually I end up on a phone ringing and no pick up, the parking manager doesn't pick up, was bad customer service experience.

Great collection, I wish this museum was much bigger, I don't know about the parking at the museum, but there is a free 3 hours parking lot at nearby big park, you can easily walk from there

This a very nice museum. I went to the Michaelangelo's exhibition and it was a really good exhibition. The permanent exhibitions were quite a surprise. Found some Picasso's, Monet, Van Gogh, among others. I spent like 3 hours in the museum. There are other special exhibitions but you have to pay extra for them. You will not be disappointed if you visit this museum.
