I really love this museum, but today they force my 2.5 years old daughter to wear mask which my daughter doesn't want then we left the museum , I'm understanding everything about Covid 19, but we can't force toddlers

Really good place, finding parking might be tricky though. The Museum has several buildings, but we were able to visit only one ( dunno, maybe it s because of COVID-19 era we are currently in). The collection is really impressive, spacious halls and really friendly staff. The thing that absolutely blew my mind is that they have some stuff from ancient Egypt that is like 3-4 thousands years old.
Want to get back and explore this place some more!

Aside from the current construction across the street, this is really a great place to get away from the busy, the bustle, and especially the heat!

They are always working hard to bring in amazing exhibits from around the world, and each one you go to see leaves you with new appreciation and knowledge.

I have seen some amazing exhibits here. The Degas exhibit took my breath away. The Van Gogh exhibit was more than I could have imagined. Take a day and walk this museum. You can spend some time with the Masters.

I've been to the Fine Arts Museum quite a few times. They have their regular exhibits and have special exhibits that come through periodically. The staff is helpful with navigating through building, asking questions, and protecting art works.

The museum was very clean and offered plenty of staff to help with questions. I recommend doing the beck building first. It hard more traditional art which is my taste. If you prefer the unusual art such as... say a person licking a video camera try the other building. Staff was friendly, plenty to see. Hope to go again.

Wow!

I love this museum. The paintings are amazing, diverse, and well organized. I was able to find my favorite painting without trying. The collections themselves are beautiful, and come with fascinating descriptions.

We really enjoyed the Van Gogh exhibit. There was a line to get in- we waited about an hour- but its to be expected on a sunday afternoon. Parking was easy with a tunnel from the garage on Binz to the museum. Nice attendants checking on people in line and available for questions. World class exhibit- Thank you MFAH.

My husband and I enjoy stopping here yearly for sure. We both enjoy the many pieces of art. From China to France, it's amazing. We had the pleasure of seeing the Michelangelo exhibit which was amazing! If you purchase a one day ticket, you can use the amount spent on it, towards a membership within 7 days!

I am a Glassell student and an art lover so I go to this museum almost every week. I love the museum; however, today me and a friend were verbally attacked and threatened inside Beck building by a homeless that claimed we were following him. We tried to walk away from him and ask the guards to call security. The guy screamed and followed us to a point were I started literally running away from him cause I was so afraid. The guards did nothing but wait for him to get away. When he finally got away (after he told us he was gonna wait for us outside), we had to wait more than 10 min for a supervisor to come just so that he told us that things like this happened all the time (on thursday the entrance is free so anyone can get in) and the best we could do was to ignore the threat since people like him would not be serious about it. They couldn t tell us if the person left the museum or even kick him out...so we were still scared. My friend was not okay with this so he politely asked and insisted the supervisor (I think his name was Carlos) for someone to scort us to our vehicle and a guard did. The guy was actually waiting for us by the cafe!!
I am really upset about this, cause I go to Glassell and I am also always at the museum and I did not feel safe at all INSIDE the museum. NO security ever came and we had to ask for someone to scort us (when we were told just to ignore it).
I won t be returning to the museum on Thursdays and I can t believe there is so many guards inside the museum but no actual security.

I was overly impressed with the collection of artwork at this museum. There vast collection included Monet, Picasso, and Van Gogh. The museum is two multi-floored buildings joined by an underground tunnel. Spent about four hours in one building.

General admission is free on Thursdays.

My peace. I love the museum. So much so that during my last visit, signed up for a membership. Great social scene a few times a year. Experienced many exhibits here. Well worth the visit.
