Marvelous museum!! Wander around and gaze at the many magnificent paintings and sculptures. The museum is peaceful and air conditioned. A fantastic retreat from the terrible traffic and city noise. One day is not enough to see it all.

The lady at the front desk was very rude. She did not clarify on any questions we had. Will not be coming back! She acted like our confusion was an innconvience to her. I did not appreciate this at all.

This museum had many rooms of beautiful exhibits. While busy, it was not overcrowded and there was no detraction from enjoying the museum at a reasonable pace. The museum offers free entry on Thursday.

We went to see the Van Gogh Exhibit. The paintings were beautiful and nicely displayed but the crowd made almost impossible to spend any real time viewing the work. Also, as I m in a wheelchair, people crowding around a piece made difficult to see.

This special exhibit began in March and goes through June 27, 2019. It is a must see! It showcases some of Van Gogh s early sketches and models. It is beautifully mounted and has many oil paintings from the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. You can see one of Van Gogh s 27 self portraits, the Irises and other masterpieces. Some of the early sketches are a revelation! This is the only museum where this exhibit will be seen and was co-curated by the MFAH. It is a must see for art lovers. If you can, go early in the morning when the museum first opens and try to avoid the weekend because It is being well attended and gets crowded! But worth it!

Amazing collection of artwork and exhibits. This is a perfect place to hang out with friends or take someone on a date. The collections and exhibits are wide ranging and constantly being changed which makes this not only a one time visit but a place you can visit every few months to experience new art.

This is a great place to visit in Houston, with a great collection very well displayed. They also offer activities for children. Plus they have special exhibitions like the Van Gogh one until June this year. Btw, don't miss "The Light Inside"

I can't believe it's already been 7 whole years since the Tours with Tut exhibit! It was very moving and magical. I'm very attached to the worlds only living mummy, TuT, he's more family to us than the world that took his life, a few thousand years ago! He still LIVES here on earth, and will forever stay, living through our hearts, as well and as one working, living body of beings! Tah be with you, Tut!
You're friend forever,
Cari Michelle

Many types of art. Religious, flowers, statues, etc So much detail it's pretty amazing.

There are security guards every where. If you have a question ask Franklin! (A security guard)

If you're a student, bring your student ID so you can get in free. I've heard it's free on Thursdays. The average entrance fee is $20.

If you are coming with a crowd expect to be here for most of the day.

Wonderful place! So glad I came.

Wonderful place! So glad I came.
It s a refuge from the heat, yes; but full of a variety of art & inspiration.
Will definitely be visiting again on our next visit to Houston

Great part of town. Lots of trees and a gorgeous building. Right next to the zoo. And across the street from a great hotel and restaurant. Lots to see and do. There is an entrance fee but if you read their website certain conditions can be met and you can get in for a discounted price or even for free. I've been here before and will come back again. I highly recommend this to anyone.

All my favorite European Masters: Dali, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, and so many many more. Can't wait for the additional facilities. Already a world class museum...and will only get better!

Always see something new. The museum also has new exhibits frequently and sometimes special events like van Gogh. Friendliest staff. Good little food court in the lower level. Can sometimes be hard to navigate is the only minor criticism. Thursday is also free!

This review is only for the Icons of Style exhibit, because I didn't spend much time in the rest of the museum, which I would love to go back and visit. I would highly recommend buying a ticket to the Icons of Style exhibit. They have a great complimentary audio tour to go with it and a fun, interactive photo option at the end.

They do not have a place for busses. They do not like the school bus but they love the money we bring them. A designated spot to park and a shuttle to where we dropped our students. Then back to retreave the bus when it is time to leave.
