The service at the front desk was abysmal. Seemed as if I was a bother by asking questions or if there was a veteran discount. No directions given. The art itself was fine.

We walked a lot. The expositions were really interesting. The place in general was clean, safe, and cool. Something different to do on a Sunday once in a while. By the way, if u r bank of America costumer, u pay nothing for the admission if u go on the first weekend of the each month.

This is one of the most tired museums I've ever been to. Everything seems contrived, there are no real original 'arrangements' of the works. It's really just big collection of stuff. Old white stuff on this floor, Asian stuff over here, Islamic stuff down this hallway, and so on. There are regular lectures, and some films...they're awful and boring. Sometimes I wonder...if I had that space, all that art, and all that money...couldn't I make something incredible? Somehow they managed not to.

The new addition to the MFAH cements it amidst the top gems of Houston s must see locations.

There is something for everyone here. Even if you are not into art, you will still love it here as it's free on Thursdays. What's not to love about that? They teach classes, have different events you can attend, watch a movie, see a fashion show, just all kinds of stuff. I love this place!

One of America's best. I'm a bit of a museum hoochie in general of all types. I have grown to appreciate it more and more now that I have traveled pretty extensively.

Got some good collections. Huge queue to enter Van Gogh's gallery. I lost like an hour in queue just to enter it.

Fascinating exhibits. We bought a membership so we can return often. The Norman Rockwell exhibit told of the Dirtstorm Depression.

Very nice, staff can be a little pushy. Great for those that are really into art.

it large, quite and you can spend the day wandering. i think the price is too high and they really should work on a city pass type thing where you can get membership to al lthe meuseums for a reasonable price

Gray museum with a good selection of tours! As it s always the case with most art museums, it s freezing there! I had to leave earlier than expected as I could not stand the cold. Take a jacket with you to fully enjoy your experience!

Had a great afternoon walking around the museum and taking in the Monet to Picasso, A Very Private Collection exhibit.

Surprisingly good collection (although no where near world class). Nice cafe. Some interesting 19th and 20th century painters.

The Museum is fabulous but too many people were admitted for me to feel safe from covid-19. All were wearing masks but not all would social distance.

We love the Houston Museum of Fine Arts!!! Always great art and the special exhibits are exceptional.

Tons of history and to really enjoy the museum more than 1 day is advised

Went to go see the van Gogh exhibit and I was not disappointed. Toured the rest of the museum as well and a great day trip

I've only been in the cafe part of the museum but I loved it. If you want a break from daily live this is a good place to go. The museum is well though out, and inspiring.

This was a great place to visit on a rainy day. The collections were inspiring. This place reminded me that i really I love art!

Section with paintings is really good, but the rest of the exhibition is quite disappointing. Michelangelo exhibition definitely didn't worth the extra money we spend.

Wonderful exhibits. Lots of hands on activities and enlightening demonstrations. A mustvisit if you get to Houston.

Great museum always with a visit when in Houston. Their fashion photography show was outstanding.

MFAH has a fantastic collection. I go frequently and feel like I have never seen it all. If you are only in Houston to visit, make aure you leave time to see it all (or at least a good chunk). When my friend visited, we spent two days exploring. They also has a top notch museum gift shop.

The present and the past in the arts. Original paintings by van gogh, toulusse lautrec, cezane, rodin. It is worth the visit. I love museums. Divided into two buildings. At least 2 to 3 hours of culture. If you visit Houston do not stop going to this museum.

It's nice and quiet all beautiful art just dont get to close or they will say something the audio device is very clear but they dont have it for all the paintings

Fantastic exhibits, and an amazing day full of fun, I would recommend this to anyone with a day the would like to just take it slow and enjoy themselves.

Need more space for the "Up Close" part of exhibit.

I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. It's no MoMA, but it's a great place to spend a few hours in Houston.

Went to Van Gough Exhibit thought it would be better but whatever

Nice setup and plenty of different exhibits including Greek and Roman. The Egyptian exhibit was small; however the African was intricate and elaborate. Parking is somewhat difficult. I'd recommend riding the train if possible. Overall, nice experience

Couldn't have been more crowded or noisy at the Van Gogh exhibit, but ordinarily the mfah is a great museum-going experience with so much to explore.

Open spaces. Clean. Contemporary feel. Tremendous showit rooms.

You can find fantastic collections of world class artist works, contemporary, Modern, classics and more, every time I visit there is a surprise!!!

Always something new to see. Had a great time on a free Thursday. Free parking. A wonderful exhibit to walk through and enjoy. Fun to spend an hour or a few. Awesome.

Love the art work and a great place to educate children.

This was amazing museum filled with a wide variety of art. The parking was free, which was located across the street at the Presbyterian church. Additionally a food truck is in the parking lot.

You need to back for ever because there is always something new.

The new addition to the MFAH is extraordinary. The space, the art, the complexity, the design, and even better it is located in the heart of Houston. Featuring artists like Rothko and Picasso and visual experiences by James Turrell this place is a must see!!

I brought my sister that flew in from Vietnam to MFA. We went on a Thursday for free. Docents for the artbite were knowledgeable and appreciated the arts.
If you want to make an evening with a date, try MFA on Thursday's.

Always PERFECT!!! Amazing exhibitions and so many programs and artist. In this moment the Best of the Best is Vince Van Gogh Exhibition. If you're in the Houston don't lose the opportunity with this one. Especially the Close up. Even if you're not an art person you'll love it.

Many types of art. Religious, flowers, statues, etc So much detail it's pretty amazing.

There are security guards every where. If you have a question ask Franklin! (A security guard)

If you're a student, bring your student ID so you can get in free. I've heard it's free on Thursdays. The average entrance fee is $20.

If you are coming with a crowd expect to be here for most of the day.

Great place to spend a day in. A variety of artwork is always on display. Worth a visit.
