Helpful friendly staff and accommodating on product

It's a major PITA to have to go to Menards, 'cuz they're the only major "big box" home improvement store in Eau Claire, WI! Why? Because EAU's the headquarters, and Billionaire John Menard has threatened to move if another building supplier moves in! Can you say blackmail, Boyz & Girlz?!?

Menards east very easy to work with..very good customer relation skills

Had what I wanted, staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were good.

Masks are for sick people, don't push them on everyone

Just returned from the store to dig deep on a couple projects I've been procrastinating on. A gentleman by the name of John in the tool area helped me immensely and even suggested other tools to use for my upcoming jobs that I was going to be working on in my house. Most helpful person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in Menards. I might just find him next time I have another question just to avoid others! He's the best.

Eau Claire has poor entry in and out, plus store has poor layout.

Well first thing looking for dog food then asked for help so whoever was in the dog area department wallcoverings literally said no I can't help you and then in an angry voice said towards me no we don't help your kind I was shocked and I'm Hispanic and they rudely said that to me like all I wanted to ask was a question about dog food and I believe they were putting dog food away and also was rudely getting in my way everytime I tried to go down a certain Isle I think they should really apologize because one I'm not racist and two they shouldn't be working there names were I believe Alex or Alec idk and then Derek not sure but they kept rushing me and my family out of the Isle's so I recommend not shopping here horrible customer service

Would be better if they didn't hide the sale items around the store in other sections.

Huge store. It can be hard to find things if you're not familiar with the store, but the staff is easy to find and very helpful. They have literally everything you would ever need.

Always leave with a smile and a special find on a product at unbelievable low price. The employees are always so helpful and nice.

We've spent many thousands of dollars at Menards over the years as we built our house and maintained our property. Rarely do they not have what we need.

Didn't have any handrail and stalked a few they had or warped very badly

Junk for products, I used to work for them, and after I seen for myself, I refuse to buy from any one of their stores. Fleet farm has better selections and prices.

Quite good selection, average prices, good with returns, but always keep your receipts!

This review is for John who helped us with our makeshift snow rack. He was very knolwageable about all different departments and had a creative imagination to make it possible. He also truly seems like he enjoys helping people. Great employee!

Went to pick up our order in the yard. We scan our ticket. But nothing says where to pick it up. Terrible, what waste of time driving around trying to find someone to help. Not impressed with the automated system at the gate.

Employees are friendly and willing to help you find what you re looking for in the store. They carry an expansive line of home furnishings as well as tools for the handyman. Great store to shop at!

They have a good selection of products but they keep decreasing the amount of tools in the store which is starting to get aggravating. I cannot always find what I need in store and they say they can order it but usually I'm going to the store for the convenience of it being there now.

Wide selection of products and good prices with very good service. Just wish they would allow another store like Lowe's or Home Depot to come in to give them fair competition.

What I look for in a big box store is room to move around. This Menards has plenty, both on the inside and in the yard.

Extremely unknowledgeable staff. Not quality items. Only home improvement store in Eau Claire so you are forced to go there.

For decades, Menards was the go-to place and now it's turned into a sham. I am not getting all my rebates back- I've always distrusted rebates but Menards always paid out and now not so much.

And the 11% thing that goes for weeks at a time, it's an excuse to bring everything in the store to FULL PRICE and you get a little back if you stop doing what's important just to fill out a dumb rebate, find a stamp and chuck it in the mailbox.

I had a special order and it took 4 weeks to come in. Did anyone call me? No! I had to call them. Three times. Now I make a list of what I need and when I drive through Hudson I stop at the Home Depot. Why is Eau Claire the largest city in America with neither a Home Depot or a Lowes?

1 of 1 options in my town, Menards or no where for home building supplies. Not always the highest quality but good selection for building materials.

Oedered on the app and picked up. In an hour. 15 minutes start to finish for a truckload of misc items! Well done Menards!

Said that they had what I wanted and got there and they didn't.

Not impressed by the garden area at all! 3 male employees watched me struggle to load 50+ lbs per bags of fertilizer into my cart. Right after I finished, literally struggling, one of them asked me if he could help me. I was already done. Seriously?

They have most building stuff for the ever day persons needs.

Getting real sick of not being able to go in as a family or atleast take my son with me. It makes it very hard to live 45 minutes from menards and no consideration when you have to leave your family in the car while you shop. John Menard needs to wake up and stop being a pawn. I understand the safety of everyone but you also have to make your own choices in life. Home depot here we come!

A worker that was cleaning the carts outside was nice enough to unload a 70# sandbag in my car...

I didn't go to Menards, I went to Target, which is right next door

It has what you need but its getting harder to find things and some items aren't price marked very well. They have fireworks this time of year but they are super expensive compared to local tent prices for the same or similar items. So... you don't always save big money at Menards.

They usually have what you need and good prices for the most part and if there's 11% going on ita even better.

They have what you need for everyday home repair. Staff always seems annoyed when you need to find something and would rather stock then help. I wish there was a Home Depot or Lowe's in town to show what real customer support is.

Bought some wood. Needed it cut into six pieces. Got s shock. A dollar a cut. Pretty pricey for about a minute worth of work with a power saw. Of course they know there is no nearby home Depot

Very lousy customer service. Ordered blinds of of their website. Had the measurements correct when I started the process. Recieved the blinds to find they are 2 inches to big. Come to find out the website changed the size and Menards is unwilling to admit their mistake, because we all know that websites are 100% fool proof and have no glitches. As a result I am stuck with blinds that will not work for my windows and Menards has lost all of my future business. I hope my $200 is worth losing all the rest of the money I would have spent there.

Horrible customer service and they basically stole from me. I ordered two items online. They showed the price. I clicked to purchase, but the order confirmation only showed one item. I had to place another order for the missing item, but they ended up charging extra fees. Bait and switch. They won't fix the extra fees and they make up some new reason they don't want to fix their error every time I try to contact them. The last time they said they had to ship from different stores and that's why they charged extra, but if that were the case from the start, they should have said so upfront.

This location seems to be busier than most but easy to find things and fun to look over. The prices is decent and the products you might want to check over prior to getting.

Haven't been able to get ahold of anyone today and it's starting to get upsetting... I can call all over town and I have looking for something but when I call this particular store it rings once and then I got hung up on...

Best big box hardware store. But, the staff doesn't really know what's going on.

The wearing of face masks is not needed . The selling of face masks for $1 is s a rip-off . Shame on Menards . I will shop at another store.

Upon trying to enter the store in Eau Claire, Wisconsin I was refused admittance because I had my yorkie ,my emotional support animal. I was asked to see papers and told she needed a vest stating emotional support animal. I was told my my therapist who recommended the dog that it was illegal for anyone to ask for such paperwork. I was completely humiliated by this experience. The woman at the door in my opinion was rude and needs proper training and information.

They didn't have the object that they have on their website. Remove it if it isn't available anymore!

I was able to buy the items I needed. My disgust comes from the fact that masks are being forced upon people who should not be wearing them: those with chronic breathing difficulties, elderly, pregnant, children, anxiety sufferers... Please update your barbaric policy before you lose all your customers.

I like the fact that everyone has to wear masks. Customers and employees.

I shop at Menards often enough to know the customer service is consistently poor. I am finally disappointed enough to waste my time writing this review for a company that does not have real competition. I called both Eau Claire locations multiple times and asked if they had water transfer pumps or nonsubmersable pumps because my basement was flooding. I was told they were out each time. The first time I called the website said there were six in stock but the rep said that was not true. We visited this location and asked an employee in person and they said they were out of what we were looking for and walked away without offering any info about the pumps they did have there. the last time I called I was told they were still out so I asked when more would be available and was told that it would be April 1st. I went into the store for a squeegee the same day and they had pumps (submersible) that will work for my issue. The slightest concern from one out of 5 Menards employees could have prevented a frantic search on my part while more and more water came into my home.

Clearly stated we were just looking, yet received a 15 minute sales pitch for cabinets, counters, and tiles. The plants love their two new pots however....

Has everything. The managers know their departments well. Getting through their checkouts is always fast. Need building supplies? This is your place. No one else compares.

They have all you need for construction projects of all types. The staff is usually helpful, with the occasional not so helpful person...
Picking up supplies from the yard is simple, tho the guards could be more helpful telling you where you need to go.
For the most part, it's a great store for construction needs, paint, hardware, supplies, beds, appliances, etc...

Constant turnover leaves uninformed employees. Older team members seem to more aware of products in other departments.
