Far too full when a concert is sold out. A significant proportion of people are on boulders, there is no way to get a drink. Continuous elbows from others in your neck / back are annoying distractions from what was otherwise a good concert. Go buddy go!

Finally, look at the traffic flows at the lockers, something goes wrong ...

What a venue the be at.. to begin with the security is 10+ they are really genuine and not kicking you out for no reason.. its alowed to smoke weed in the smoke lounge..

The prices of the drinks are okay for a Amsterdam Venue, and the serve Free water for those in need !

The sounds is in all the areas good and nothing to complain about !

So if you can catch a show at the Melkweg do it !

This is an awesome location to catch a show. There are two halls. One can hold about 1500 people, the other about 700. I only visited the smaller one. There are a few seats in the back and the perimeter but, for the most part, the main floor is standing room only. There is a balcony too, with seats. There's a bar in the room too but once it gets full its hard to get a drink. The prices aren't too outrageous. If you're really into your band, though, there's not a bad spot in the house! You're really close np matter where you are and the energy is incredible. Important note! Amsterdamers are very tall! So, if you're on the main floor and of diminutive height you might have a hard time seeing. There's a coat check, too, which is super cool. It comes about a E1.50

Great sound, and you actually always have a good view of the band. Some more toilets would be welcome. A pity that there are always subscription costs and the boxes need money every time they are opened.

Great venue. 3 Entry doors, well signed so you knew where to wait for your artist. Toilets clean, staff helpful. Atm on site for merchandise purchases. So close to transport. Loved it.

Went to Bangface! It was great :) relaxed friendly atmosphere in the venue! Only thing is that you have to pay for the downstairs toilets ( 4/5 for access the whole event)

Ot is a very nice venue, very well located and with a good atmosphere. It has a smokers room and a balcony for nice concert pictures. The one thing I found weird was that after you pay your band ticket tou still have to pay them for a temporary (one month) membership that you will probably not use. So if you go there one month and one day later you have to pay this again.

The best pop venue in the Netherlands. Big enough for good artists, yet intimate.

Sadly this venue has a lot of artists I really want to see. Sound is soso, view is soso and the stupid mandatory membership you havr to pay for makes this an annoying venue. Staff is friendly though.

Venue was too full. Organization had sold too many tickets. People fainted in the audience and I don't understand that the venue allows this.

Was here with ADE 2015 and great place for concerts, parties and shows. When its really busy it is still easy to get a drink and still enough room to dance. Good stuf!

With no previous notice they had us pay a "membership" card in order to access the concert we already paid for.

Truly dishonest behaviour on their part.

Very bad! Went there for vinnie paz, he killed it as always but the location was horrible, you can't smoke inside, the price was 20 but at the end they manage to take you almost 10 euro more for taxes and membership. weak location with small rooms.

Great venues with easily accessible, not too expensive and friendly staff! Toilets were quite dirty and did not flush properly where all the toilet paper left behind. Furthermore, certainly nice location to go out, or to visit an event!

Small size venue with pretty good accoustics.
Fun fact: this place inspired the singer of The Church to write the song Under The Milky Way Sky. Great song!

Besides Paradiso, one of the 2 good pop temples in Amsterdam. Wide range of concerts and fairly good acoustics. In addition, regularly arranged dance evenings and other parties.

Was here for the Motown evening, highly recommended. Next year again.

Excellent location for a concert. Very good sound and overview.

It's a great place for live shows, but many people didn't know that you have to pay extra for the lidmanschip (?) and had to buy this extra ticket at the venue. So it took a very long time to get inside and I actually missed most of the set of the supporting band which was really annoying...

Unique concert hall. Hosts a great variety of artist. High quality rooms/stages in nice environment. Easy accessibility location.

Great venue! Love the observation deck above the stage. Had a great night. Allowed the perfect amount of people, enough to make it a parry but not too crowded.

Great music but our NYE was by rude, inconsiderate security men. Were not allowed to enter back into the venue without queuing up despite having a stamp. Several of the security men started pushing us while we were trying to talk to them. Very sad events of what was supposed to be a great night!

Despite a fact I've already paid for the ticket, they ask to buy "membership", which is valid d for one month.
Sound is just bad, it is better to listen your favorite band on Spotify than here ;)

Nice artists. On the other hand, there is an always slow bar and the completely nonsensical requirement to buy a 'membership' when you attend a concert. The fact that you already bought a ticket and therefore do not really have a choice to pay for this creative form of extortion does not bother the Milky Way. Hence three stars.

One of my favorite concert halls of Amsterdam. The most central one for sure.

Need to attract more people to fill the large interior, music was good and alcohol prices are reasonable. No table service was a disappointment

Concert by Subsonica and was super, I still love their music!

Beautiful building. Concerts are nice and cozy. You really feel very close to the artists. The staff is also very nice.

Go to place for a Saturday/Friday night. But it can be very crowded. Air conditioning is not the best therefore it can be hot inside. Smoking rooms are way too small.

Nice place. If multiple artists perform it very clear whether you're in the right row. Some employees can use a friendliness course. The lockers where you can coat like to be really ideal. If tickets for a performance can actually buy also need to purchase a membership from the Milky Way.

Concert was fun but it was really too busy, sound was decent. The concert ended at eleven o'clock and everyone had to get out. I remember that after the concert the DJ started spinning and then it went off and you could just stay and party all night long. or am I already very old.

Where you will also find the artists in the Leidsestraat, where the beer and wine are reasonably priced. A safe is a normal price and you can still breathe in a sold out room. Nice location, somewhat shrill acoustics, but hey I love this stage. Excellent accessibility, extensive programming
