Went to Arizona concert here! Melkweg is an amazing place; the concert hall was small but could easily fit around 150 people. And the lighting was gorgeous!

I now realize that my earliest memories of the Melkweg are now more than 22 years old, but that time has certainly not stood still there. The expansion of the Max has been a major step forward. It also seems that the sound gets a little better every time.
1. location : close to the leidseplein, and the centre of Amsterdam ( walking distance )
2. accessible : they can scan your ticket, from your mobile phone.
it is accesible with a wheelchair, but try to be early otherwise it will be to crowded for a good view.
downside : there are beneficial cost beside the price for a ticket
( like an administration fee ) or ( a 4 euro ticket to be a member of the milkyway for a month )
Easily accessible by public transport, nice smaller music venue with good sound.
Good quality of the sound, amazing gigs, excellent location, very intimate.
Always a nice place to go out. Good DJs and good atmosphere
Good, agile guard volumes, large and no queues bathrooms, good music and beautiful people.
Super location,
have been going there for (!) 30 years
always happy to go back
when I'm in A'dam.
I have - over time - been able to "experience" a wide variety of events, shows, events and evenings.
The people there always friendly and the respective prices always reasonable.
Great venue with lots of lockers for your stuff. Decently price drinks. The sound is excellent with amazing acoustics.
A nice stage, but the pillars can be in the way and a bit expensive.
Great and cozy. Keep it small and personal. Only comment how they arrange their subscriptions.
Great place to enjoy with dancing very organised and good ambient.
Beer tastes like ditch water, weird stuff with that membership and the support act was bad .. I do not know who did that but really not worthy of stage ..
Many nice metal bands are at a reasonable price.
Sound is also always great. Beer is just a bit on the expensive side. (but that is also part of Amsterdam CS)
Laibach had amazing performance, once again, but when not? Laibach, the absolutely brilliant band in a cozy venue at a great location. The Melkweg It's not very big and when sold-out it's quite crowded. But it is worth it. Acoustics are great. The balcony is absolute a must. You have an amazing view. When Laibach is in Amsterdam they always perform in the Melkweg. I believe everyone should experience a live performance of the band Laibach at least once in their lifetime. In August 2015, Slovenian band Laibach performed in the capital Pyongyang before 1,500 people, and the rock concert itself was the first of its kind where one group from the West performed in North Korea.
Besides Paradiso, this is one of my favorite music theaters. Not too big and there are often very good artists.
They host the best party's in Amsterdam, they know there stuff and the settings ambiance is great! Keep it up ;)
Stupid bouncers threw us out because a drunk girl complained...
Nice club: relaxed atmosphere and visitors. Not immediately, but I realized that in addition to the ticket for the event, you need to have or buy a club membership. Prices at the bar are regular. "No entry with hard drugs" - it is written at the entrance
Room MAX is a perfect room if you ask me. Not too big, not too small. At the back is close to the bar and certainly not too far from the stage. Fine size.
Good place to go for a concert. Went to the big stage where the music is really good adjusted. Besides the music they got places in the back where you can get a drink for a good price.
Very strange that you then buy a ticket for a concert and then also have to buy a 4 euro membership.
Could not find the milk and the way, otherwise nice
Beautiful room, good sound, good service (both wardrobe and bar). Only downside is the air circulation. During the concert it gets so stuffy that you really have to gasp for air. Really should be done about it.
I came for alpha blondy and the solar system concert. The place is cool and might need a membership to access.
Cool venue. Only one negative thing, they let us wait out in the cold for 2hrs without any information at all. (Concert was delayed)
A really great club with multiple floors and stages. I've been to concerts on both the main stage and the smaller stage upstairs, both are nice. The upstairs stage is very small and intimate but the main stage has really great sound!
Little positive. Membership required, row at entrance, row at coats (cash and pricey only), row at toilets, rows thick at the bar: 20 minutes on the road for a beer. The room too full. People who walk to coats from the hall have to go exactly the other way than the people who want to leave the building. Not ideal with 1500 people who have to go through that hall.
good sound, but often very full. Certainly with the more famous artists. Nevertheless unique in Amsterdam.
Love techno Tuesdays, however, other events at the Melkweg aren't as consistently good. The venue does sometimes oversell tickets which makes it very cramped inside with long queues for the bathroom. There are better clubs in Amsterdam but I always find myself coming back here.
Melkweg is An event place I've been going to for a long while. I've seen lots of artists and always had a pretty good time. I went to the party Encore which was okay, the music could be really great at times and less great at times. But overall a pretty great experience.
Everything is good except the airconditioning which is non existing.
I wanted to smoke, so i went upstairs following the signals, just saw some guys smoking and i lighted mine (i didnt know is there a smoking room upstairs) , suddenly a security guy came and very agresively took me out, almost falling down the stairs, not even let me talk to them. The club enviroment was great but staff very agressive and stupid. A place to avoid in amsterdam.
Good music choice if you like Rnb and HipHop.
Staff polite and in a good mood.
Prices slightly lifted. Only cash at the counter directly.
Wc's clean but a bit too small.
Smoking area very large.
Audience is multicultural and peaceful.
Would come again!
Cool location. Very central. Good sound technology. Smoking room. Few toilets.
Nice but small. And it depends on the artist how great your experience will be.
Rude security. Didnt let us in for no reason, we even bought monthly membership.
Awesome venue. Super friendly staff. Good sounds and facilities
Beautiful, modern concert hall in the heart of Amsterdam.
Earthgang was freaking awesome!! Topnotch performance!
Ridiculous having to purchase a membership to attend a concert.
Dancing was fun and then cruising, and suddenly my galaxy was
The Melkweg is a beautiful place for concerts. The room where #inglorious played was just big enough and was pleasantly busy. For the guest list there was some confusion, for this we were referred to the cash register where at that moment there was a row for another performance.
Furthermore, they donate #kornuit which is very nice, prices are also reasonable to oversee. There were plenty of alternatives for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
There is also a cloakroom, lockers are placed and there are 3 lockers to charge your phone with in each lockers 3 different plugs so that each brand can be charged. A euro must be paid for this.
It is also nice that they have a pin device in the building
Nice dance location. Well long lines for: entrance, cloakroom. On the left side in the big dark room one big bar is very awkward when it is very busy: one has to go through the crowd with all the drinks every time. Very good sound and visual installation. Toilets for men sufficient, with the ladies I regularly saw small row.
You must definitely go there again. I don't remember Mura Masa's concert very well ... hashish hash
Great concert hall sound system friendly people. Try to go to some concerts in the same month you have to pay a contribution fee for the upkeep of the building
Completely overrated place, may have been cool in the past, today a maximum of a tourist trap
Great venue, te lockers can be a bit crowded though.
Always a good place for a concert or a small festival. Good acoustics. Often busy at the wardrobe. Especially when there are several concerts. Always check which row you are standing in front of the entrance so that you are not waiting in the long queue for nothing.
There's always something going on here and it's almost always worth while. This place is the epicenter of the nightlife of Amsterdam.
I've been to a lot of concerts but the ones in the galaxy are always the most fun. It is small, so you can still see the artist from the other side of the room. A great experience that I definitely recommend.
Super. Cozy, looks neat. Everything nicely maintained despite the crowds. Excellent sound inside, while you get little of it outside the room. Grniten of the kpop party
Beautiful music very quiet situation controlled by bodygar
Beautiful property with excellent wayfinding. The staff is friendly and the sound during the concerts is great!
Cracking venue, great sound, lots of lockers for your belongings. Nice high stage so good view all round. If you're at front you might get a sore neck but at least you'll get a good view up the performers trouser leg.
Great evenings. You have to make the music choice yourself. But the room and atmosphere is always good
Had a brilliant night! friendly bar staff and security
