Incredible gel beating. You pay membership at the door and of course also for the wardrobe. If you are thirsty: bad luck, a bottle of water costs no less than 3.50 euros. Do you want to refill that bottle at the toilets? Bad luck again, someone is at the door to stop people with empty bottles. This is really below par.

Absolutely loved this place. Techno Tuesday is definitely a really good day to go. They re staff was super nice, the music was amazing, the atmosphere was pretty great minus the couple of creeps every now and then. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good dancing venue

Never accidentally leave your phone or other valuables in your coat or bag when you give it to the wardrobe! You'll never see your things again! And the people at the wardrobe put the blame on yourself. "Maybe too much to drink?". And you don't have a leg to get up. I have seen / heard this happen many times. Also with people outside my circle of friends. I'm not coming here anymore.

Nice concert location, there may be something arranged for people who are in line as they are just on the road at a given time. The hall attracts semi-large artists that you would expect to be in a larger room. This allows many people to have a fairly intimate moment with their favorite artists

Pay full pounds, half an hour in line at the entrance, fifteen minutes at the wardrobe, after more than an hour the lights are on again and again three quarters in line at the wardrobe .. In addition, sold out and way too many people inside .. Commerciality: pay for a very lean evening (plus "membership") and stand in line for a long time, you go Melkweg!

While I was not drunk, I was not allowed in because a guard at the door thought I was. Had already paid for the tickets and friends were allowed inside. Finally I could prove that I was with the car and had a breath test in it, which of course came with the proof that I had nothing on. Furthermore, nice tent once you are inside.

It s incredible to have 2 awesome live venues at the real centre of Amsterdam with top of the line facilities, great sound and programming! I love the Melkweg with the oude zaal the Max, the Rabo and the rebuilt Theater zaal. Excellent bands and events with tons of variety! Keep up the good work like Johnny Marr in the Max! Happy

We were let down by the monotonous music played tonight. Tun-tuntun all night long babe. If you like to dance or actual music, this is not your place.
I like Amsterdam but definitely not Dutch music.

Lovely Avenue for concerts of all genres. Drinks are quite expensive (5 euros for a large "beer"), but the staff are friendly, and it's easy to visit The Melkweg by public transport (three trams stop at this place).

Great concerts, just a pity about the venue. Long lines and expensive wardrobe and rushed finish of the program. There is actually no time to program a really nice evening because the room must be empty in time for night programming. Give concerts more space and give the visitors the quality that they pay for.
