Door from the disabled place was stuck and I had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come and open it.

Security guard was rude, and did allow our friend to enter just of because he percept the world differently. Name of a guard is Pete, not satisfied and definitely don t recommend this place.

Nice music room, good sound was a wonderful evening

Were there on Techno Tuesday. The only thing that goes on that day. But unfortunately very touristy and crowded.

Nice tent and the beer was okay but expensive. But Amsterdam is crap. Eindhovuh the craziest and greetings from Rotterdam. And Gouda apparently.

a very nice place for concerts. It feels private and cozy. Lots of room at the bar. There is also an exhibition room and a theater present in the building. Sometimes you spend a bit of time at the wardrobe.

Too much dubstep for the show I saw. I am of a funk soul rock sensibility though. The crowd was very young as far as I could tell (could have been the particular night or show). Swear it was mostly dutch 16 year olds.

Melkweg is a pretty cool venue with three different halls, allowing for shows of very different sizes. The lockers are convenient though somewhat pricy ( 2) and naturally drinks are way too expensive, but that is normal. The sound is often great, even in the smaller upstairs hall.

Unbelievably large queue, but the concert was absolutely amazing and well worth it. Tip of the day: be early and bring cash if you wanna buy merchandise.

The techno tuesday event we attended in July was great. The very affordable beer was a win.

Nice building on the outside and cozy on the inside! Very nice from the Panic concert! Can enjoy at The Disco. There is a balcony and a large 'dance floor'. The only bad thing was that the posts that support the roof are in the way from some views.

Amazing venue but they scab extra money from you at the door in the form of a membership.

This time for the Fleurie concert. Lockers instead of wardrobes work smoothly.

They drove to the anchor, flex was cruel, did not spare the foot of Vanechka. Rap and Peace / man s not hot

Melkweg is a great event area with lots of space and attention paid to the details, smoking room cloakroom and two separate room with thier own bars creates a lively experience.. Techno Tuesday well recommended!

Still don t really understain the opening Time But the Place is lovely!

With big parties too hot and the queues were too long for the toilets

This venue is an excellent place for the hosting of music events. I visited for a reggae Easter special event. The sound engineer(s) know their trade well and the quality of the sound setup is the best I've ever experienced. Clear sounding instruments, voice mics offering near to listening perfection. This made my whole experience a very pleasant one listening to artists who I had never heard content from before.
And I was also impressed by the fact that between a number of band changes the quality of sound did not deteriorate throughout the evening.
Because the venue isn't massive it can be filled relatively easily by people but that's not to say that the place is tight and uncomfortable - not so.
Access to bar is good, glass collecting staff are on their game too.
Door entry was very relaxed and passed through very smoothly.

As is typically the case with music venues like this they seem to thrill in having dark interior (black walls), walking hand in hand with toilets that are not managed or attended to keenly during the event. In the mens loos there was one overflowing urinal. The ladies was described as disgusting! Those are my only complaints

A very nice place to go to a concert. The rows can be better indicated, by means of fences / staff. Furthermore, really had a great evening.

Plays the right music urban afro dancehall music that you can't find at no other club in the Netherlands.

Excellent venue and great staff. Was seeing KSE and it was a great location with a great interior. Would recommend for a mid size gig

Amazing atmosphere, very friendly staff, great crowd. Not to mention the quality of the concerts and the fame of this historical location. Smoking area was a big plus for me. Clean toilets. Large selection of beverages.
Fully recommend it!

Beautiful room. Does have the intimacy that afas and ziggo miss due to their size. Lockers instead of cloakroom is an improvement!

Concerts are sometime nice, but I dont like the space to much, bar however is not expencive

Totally great, just a pity that the extra places upstairs were not available ..

I was looking for the bathroom during in which the security staff sneakily shoved me out of the venue. Then they just wouldn't let me back in. Me and 4+ other people, including people who had coats in coat check were refused re-entry. It is quite clear that the goal of this venue is to get people in then out. If you are looking for a good time I would definitely reccomend a different club.

Small intimate club holding many concerts by popular bands.

No need to say one word if you come to Amsterdam just go and see

Nothing fancy, medium sized club. Only one bar makes it hard to get drinks when crowded. Speakers were loud enough, but not enough bass though..

I love the Melkweg. Experience the intimate feeling of a band or artist as if they are playing in your living room. Drinks are on the very high side but otherwise very nice room. We saw Kiefer Sutherland there the last time. Also a qqnneqswen

Great venue for live music. Lovely staff, great sound, decent beer, reasonable toilets

Nice opportunity with good sound! Friendly and quick staff, just getting the jackets were slightly dramatic.
Very nice is not having to buy coins!

The Melkweg is a concept in Amsterdam! What makes this place so special is the gafe location and the varied programming!

looks a bit different from the milky-way i visited a dozen times or more back in the late '70's . don't see reference to the marketplace or house dealer or coffee shop so i guess there's no reason for my old ass to go back.

I want to thank the galaxy for last Tuesday at The New Power Generation! Reported in advance that we would like to reserve a seat and were very helpful for this! Really thanks for that and had a great evening in this way! Keep it up!!

An evening in Melkweg is always fun. With the latest expansion more can be done in the venue itself. There is a cafe, you have the cinema, the two dance rooms and a dedicated theatre.

My experience has mainly been with the music rooms. Bring ID when coming here.
Depending on the evening both room can be open and you get two different kind of crowds/vibes were everybody just enjoys the evening.
Personally I don't like the sound that comes out of the speakers.
The main music room has two bars, the smaller one. There is a separate smoking room which is large.

Concert a bit overcrowded and the beer can't really be called a beer but great place for venues

Best night club in Amsterdam that I have visited as a tourist on a weekday party. Tuesday special!

The Milky Way is a great concert hall. Good sound in both the large and the small auditorium. Have enjoyed many beautiful concerts, and the service is fast, competent and good-tempered. The only thing that the galaxy of mine really can do away with is that annoying membership construction. Understand that it brings in a lot of extra money, but it's always a hassle. That being said; I'll keep coming because it's always fun. especially continue!

Top location. Pal tap, and large enough for a good show. But mostly small enough to have the audience interact with the band.
