Great spot for concerts, feels very personal no matter where you are in the crowd. Ventililation could be a bit better. But for the rest a great spot.

Membership card system is a bit odd but I was on the guest list for my one and only visit so far.
Great sound. Great bar service. Really enjoyed my visit.

Super cool concert of Mighty Oaks in beautiful little hall

I went to see Weathering With You but unfortunately we could hear the live band playing next door whenever there was a quiet moment in the movie. Found it distracting and took away from the experience. Would only go back here for gigs.

Fantastic venue. Creates a small and intimate environment. Only standing, allows for more mingling with the crowd. Would definitely go again for a concert.

I have a feeling that each time Im going to Melkweg, they rise the amount of sold tickets. Concerts are great but its impossible to enjoy it! The crowd is crushing, impossible to move, if something happens - its a tragedy... Made me feel very unsafe. Such a pity :(

Been often. Old hall is great, top concert location and for the better parties!

It is one of the places par excellence to go dancing and see pipulsres bands. In Amsterdam

Melkweg had really ruined the VIP experience with Denzel Curry. 25 minutes later and the only thing that could be a picture, not even a chat.

I have had a bit of the age of concerts where you have to stand all night, otherwise great shop!

Both stages are good. I personally find the small hall a nicer atmosphere. Afterwards it can be very busy and it is sometimes difficult to get to the wardrobe.

Great venue, fair pricing and lots of lockers available. Nice place for attending performances. Only downside is the line which went all the way to the nearby square. So dont bother showing up until slightly after the time stated on your tickets.

Depends a lot which event you're attending to, some are terrible, some are awesome

Had a good concert. Room I find less and acoustics very bad. The room is also long so if you are a bit behind and you have tall people in front of you ..... you will not see anything anymore.

Good band but that you have to pay for members a drop off

Been to a Tom Walker concert for the first time in the Melkweg! What a gig! The atmosphere and the sound were great and the artist of course already completely!

Plenty of people from across the world meet up here. Music played to suit those with a diverse taste in it. Picks up momentum at 1 but by 5am on Saturdays you gotta leave

I went there to see a drag queen show and I had the best time

Maduk And Friends was a super evening! Had a lot of fun. Smoking area is a drama and the fact that we were only allowed to enter at 12am was not nice because of the long queue, had to stand in the cold for a long time.

Too full, no space, you almost started to doubt the fire safety standards ...
A lot of frustration (also with the people around us) and actually not being able to enjoy the concert.

I ve only been to Melkweg twice, but I had a great time in both cases. Drink prices are average for a club/concert venue in NL. They are currently closed until September 1st, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Awesome club hosting a great variety of artists from all over the musical world, alongside resident DJs that keep this place pumping all week long.
Plenty of rooms to bounce between at bigger events like ADE and an expo space make it a mark on the map for everyone in and visiting Amsterdam.

Always full, good crowd, and friendly door staff!

You can go here for the smaller concerts. Cheap tickets! I am in a wheelchair myself and have been with my daughter several times. It is always possible (after contact in advance) to be allowed 10 minutes in front of the rest of the audience to find a nice spot. Helpful staff. Only downside: no disabled toilet in the annex on the other side of the Melkweg.

Great venue for eurovision event. Easy to get to, nice facade, quick service. Really enjoyed it.

Awesome little venue to see a show. Clean, chill, and awesome staff. Taking Back Sunday rocked too!

So I have now seen multiple shows in each of the 3 spaces (Upstairs, OZ, and Max) and I can say this is one of my favorite venues regardless of where in the world I see a show. Melkweg is always filled with great staff, reasonable drink and ticket prices. Love this place and going again tonight for Beartooth and my personal favorite, The Amity Affliction! But they have shows of all types so it is not just a metal club. Saw Icon for Hire last night and they were awesome too! See shows here every time I am in Amsterdam and sometimes I travel just to see shows here.

Awesome spot for music events in downtown Amsterdam. Venue is not that big perfect for intimate performances.

The Melkweg is always a nice place. However, today they dont seem to have a decent air-co or air flow. Extremely hot for a teen concert . Someone fainted.
The suggestion would be to invest in a air system so to keep a full concert hall with a decent temperature.
Beside this, is one of my preferred places in Amsterdam

Melkweg is a highly respected and long standing music venue in Amsterdam. I had the privilege of playing there in June 2018. The sound and overall acoustics are excellent.

From the balcony behind you look through the lamps. Not ideal, but it can be done. Also no bar upstairs. And on the night that I was there many clubs talking to each other. Not fine during the soft brakes in the music. I'm not used to other rooms.

An excellent location for concerts in the heart of the city right on Leidseplein where you can go further with nightlife.

Together with De Melkweg the two best locations in Amsterdam. Very friendly staff, both at the door, at the cloakroom, and behind the bar.

Too bad that you need extra membership cards everywhere to watch a performance. 4.00 pp.
Long line in front of the door, only leave a second door open.
Furthermore, good for each other.

For large group masses it is too small .. this comes at the expense of the music.

Oldfashioned locker system (coin operated!) and generally poor visibility on the stage make this a less than 5 star venue. Rest (acoustics, f&b, climate control, etc.) are just fine.

DEAL OF THE MONTH: Pay 12 entrance and another 0.50 every time you wanna go on a DIRTY toilet. Also drinks are a bit watery. Overall cool venue tho.

Beautiful room, but they desperately need to do something about the space of the wardrobe.
With two rooms and the merchandising there, it is much too busy there after the concert.

The place for down town concerts. Although the rooms are a bit small for my taste, it is great to go crazy on your favorite music.

Been to the Melkweg for the first time, AJR concert! !!! Was super! And how good you can see it there. I was standing behind the mixing table, not that big was a super place! !!

Killing Joke night is always fun. Probably the last time because the men are aging.

Great venue for concerts and general parties! But although beer is reasonably priced, I recommend not trying to get drunk here...
