Clean, tidy, modern but not so big, regard it is the second biggest airport in Australia. Custom officers are very kind and soothing.

International arrivals is a disgrace. Welcome to Melbourne, city with the rudest immigration and customs staff in the world (even more hostile than usual on the days Border Security is being filmed)

You guys have 20 seats at departure gates with well over 100 people waiting

Everything is efficient and the airport staff were so helpful

Good facilities. I wish arrivals have a food court and a more spacious waiting area.

Toilets near mc Donalds were not clean thismorning. Jetstar wonderful. Great staff. Long way to gate. Bring back Tiger on L'ton leg.

It sucks. Parking expensive. Some staff at public pickup are high on power and rude. Some are ok. A few are good. Also during busy times at night. There are no staff.

Pretty good airport. Lots of food options. Public transportation to the airport is fairly limited however.

One of the worst international airport I have ever been to. Dirty, lack of space, boring shops & poor selection of food at the international waiting area, thought I was at a budget airline terminal.

I like free Qantas Wi-Fi, but very expensive accommodation around airport

Melbourne airport... and all of Melbourne-- the people are super friendly and helpful.

Rude, racist, unhelpful mmigration officers. I was behind a man who couldn't speak or understand English. The least they could've done was HELP him to understand what are the necessary forms to fill up and how to do so. The queues weren't even long and I overheard the lady who checked his passport say. FILL IT UP NEXT TIME OR I'M SENDING YOU BACK!!!

No notification of flight. Took 12min to walk to new terminal gate from main terminal when notified. Gate had just closed for boarding.

I am extremely appalled by the disability service and treatment at this airport that my mother experienced when she landed from her flight from Malaysia this morning. While I am sure there are lots of friendly staff around, this is one particular instance I am extremely disappointed with.

Firstly, I booked for wheelchair access a few days in advance with the airline as my mother has a limp in leg and is unable to walk very long distances. She had a very friendly and enjoyable experience departing from Malaysia airport and during her flight where she had no issues and was provided with excellent disability services along the whole way to the plane

It was once she landed and departed the plane, she was met by a staff member in her late-40s who approached her asking if she had booked wheelchair access, in which she replied ''yes, with the Malaysia airline.'' She then told her to wait even though there were several free wheelchairs close by. After some time, the lady came back and told her to walk to the end path and wait there. She did not offer to assist with any of her luggage at all.

My mum continued waiting around. After some time when no staff member was around to assist her, she had no choice but to walk on her own. Through the kindness of other strangers helping her walk and assist with her luggage along the way, she managed to get out a couple hours later. She was extremely tired and her leg was in pain.

I was quite upset after hearing my mum's experience and I am disgusted with the disability services provided by this airport.

Not the biggest airport but its still nice, i love the service.

Staff helpful about how to use the check-in kiosk. Great food courts. Clean areas.

Easy access to free park and ring area, free if under 1 hour ? possible delays - just re-enter pick up/stop off parking area.

This is one of the worst airports I've travelled through. Two cafes in international departures and they are both completely full at 6:45am. There is a lot of building work going on but seems to have been poorly managed as it means there is currently nothing to do while waiting for your flight. May improve in the future.

Ridiculous parking prices, Ridiculous retail prices.

I'm sorry but for Melbourne the International Terminal is it well below the standards of other countries.

Really big compare to Avalon airport and a Lot of walking required since gates are located bit far from the customs clearance.

Power points available to charge portable electronic devices at the gates. And heaps of shops there to buy food, drinks and gifts.

Melbourne airport still not embracing rideshare this is the area for rideshare t4 level 7. The only deserted location at the airport and nobody knows about it.

Unfriendly staff. Everyone is lack of patience. My friend and i ask at least 5 staff and no one can give the exact answer. We carry heavy luggage went up and down stairs several times. When we reach the check in desk, the woman rudely told us that we have to get the tags for the bag on our own. There were no helping no asking. They are ordering us to do things. This place wasn't like this in my memory. I always enjoyed the trip to Melbourne. But today could be the worst so far.

If you're claiming TRS, make sure you go in early as there is always a que and wait.

If shop's were open it would be fantastic, staff at Qatar check in were the best.

The airport used to be well kept. In the last six months it looks like the groundstaff have been fired. There is garbage everywhere, in the parking lots, in the bushes along the walkway to the entrances, and the sidewalks have not been cleaned in ages. Please pick up the game in maintainance so people don t judge Melbourne by its airport.

It is a small airport in comparison with other big cities' airport. I know it has been improving, but it can do better.

Speaking of T1 & T2 : Generally busy, half the time very busy. Not much seating pre-departures. I find it crowded generally, it's slowly getting updated.New smart gates and facial recognition technology is now used at international departures.there is deluxe label duty free shopping for those that can. There has been an improvement in dining options both before and after the departures. Smokers; once you have entered international departures through the smart gates, there is NO smoking areas.

SingaporeAir lounge was BETTER than Singapores one.

Great place, except, very crowded and quite busy at times.

I still would recommend going to this airport.

Make sure you have 4 dollars with you to get a trolley! I had 4 items with me.the trolleys should be free for travellers. What a rubbish airport!

Arrived via Jetstar domestic.

Was disappointed that had to exit via stairs to tarmac - not great for elderly people or people with mobility difficulties.
Then had extremely long walk to get to baggage claim and again this would be difficult for a lot of people.

Worst airport i have ever been to. I understand that they had conveyer belt problems and that would make a slight delay. But 3 hours delay i missed my next two flights with no compensation what so ever. Please melbourne airport fix this asap or alot of people are not going to be happy.

First time to Melbourne, surprised at how tired and old the airport looks. Miles behind Sydney & Brisbane. Food choices meh, toilets yuk

Smoking areas always a bonus. International departure help always very helpful, attentive and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate your needs.

The most terrible airport I have ever visted. They don't give a damn about you. The service is realy bad. Don't get me started on the security. The security personal just ruin your day. They don't care. They don't help either they just yell at you.

Very quiet during stage 4 lockdown. Every person wearing face masks. Every person social distancing. No traffic.

It takes half hr to get to pick up point once you get off the fwy its a joke and the airport needs to spend some money in upgrading the wankers that are controlling the traffic one day they will give the wrong person attitude and probably get belted

Be proud of what we have ! Domestic is absolutely fine. International could do with improvement, but facilities are fine, people are great.

They have to seriously do something about doping off at departures at peak times, near missed my flight today.

Quiet during covid - but otherwise pretty embarrassing

Sadly due to Covid restrictions it is like a ghost town. Other than that, very clean, friendly staff.

Generally it is clean but so low efficient when you go through all check inand custom clearance procedures. Just keep queueing and queuing. Hope they can come up with some fast solution for custom clearance soon.

Its really good and nice place overall and i have not seen better than it before my whole life.neat and clean airport and nice view.immigration police are also very friendly in this area.I loved it so far.everything is okay with it s the been been the nice place for you.

Very tiny, doesn't even have direct train service. Still, not enough staff when you need help.

Having arrived and departed here multiple times, I have had a great experience each and every time. The self service check in system is the easiest method I've experienced compared to all other airports that I have been to.

I wish to commend the Melbourne Airport Baggage Handlers. I regularly travel with a small Harp that has to travel in the oversize baggage section . Last week I was waiting to collect it and watched as the harp was placed very gently on the conveyer belt. So far during a period of four years it has been handled with care and respect, in Melbourne , as well as at other airports.

Why does it always take 45+ mins for luggage to reach the baggage carousel in the international terminal?

The staff of a l customer and traveller services are surly and rude . apart from airline counters.i am in and out of melb all the time and everyone from customs to trolley pushers are rude.

the new renovated layout for the international departure is good but there is a shortage of power outlets, every one I see here is finding for a power outlet to charge their phone or laptop. so many walls, so little holes.

In arrivals, u have someone in your face telling you your taking too long, can u put a baby in a car and luggage less then a minute ???

It's an airport, better than some. Pick up dropoff areas get congested just like anywhere else.

I had an worst experience with TRS team at Melbourne airport. I was in hurry to catch flight and these people were making fun on passengers. There are literally nobody in line and as I was in hurry I directly went to the counter and the people there was like did I call you..!? What.!? Seriously is this how you treat a business class passenger.?

I did Claim everything on TRS app to make my process quick and there were no instructions to carry all the belonging onto flight to claim the things on the application at all. I did carry all bills and receipts of the goods I was carrying.

The guy at the counter just rejected my bills because I wasn t carrying them. I got perfumes and we are not allowed to carry them on check in. What sort of professionalism is this busiest airport..?

Absolutely disgraceful, everywhere else in the world, you can use their trolleys for free, not here, got stung 8 bucks for the use of 2 trolleys to walk about 200m. Worst airport and most greedy on this earth!!!

Good aitport however it is strangely segmented. Also there is no reasonable public transport options and ridiculously expensive parking. There are limited eating options and very few comfortable places to sit and wait. Good but could be a lot better.

Work in tourism but find for tourists airport sorely lacking...firstly no train or mass transit link...absolute disgrace in this day and age and car park is a rip off..I had to pay extra $10 at exit as I had gone over the 10 min `grace period `from the pay station to the exit.
$24 for 53 mins(to pay station) + 13 mins(exit) Airport information staff are good and helpful but note it closes at midnite when there are still planes landing with many tourists and others presumably needing help.Besides parking food etc over priced despite so called airport charter.A private monopoly thats overriding concern is making lots of money and customer service coming a poor second.
Its pity that we`re never (for time being) at least ever get close to being in the top ten airports in the world! Wake up !

Welcoming attitude of staff at immigration, security etc is commendable.

The contempt Melbourne airport international terminal has for its customers is clear, there's nothing to indicate this on the website but basically nothing is open in the international terminal. The few restaurants & cafe's (there isn't even a bar currently) that are open are packed because there are so many people crammed into them as there's nothing else to do.

I understand the need to refurbish the airport periodically but to close off multiple separate parts of the airport simultaneously makes no sense whatsoever and shows no appreciation for what your customers needs, I note there's no impact of the renovations to the cash cow that is duty free which has multiple outlets open. Oh and to top it off the free WiFi doesn't work!

It's a pain to get to. Once there it's fine. Generally improving over time.

Worst airport ever. Travelling with a lot of bags and toddlers. I requested assistance but didn't get it. Even refused a pram saying it is considered heavy baggage so couldn't be given.
I was asked to wait for 2 hours in order to get assistance. This has happened 3 times in last year and a half.

Counters M-O is self Service and very pleasant to use. Staff is professional and always helpful to travelling pax in the self checkin Machines.
Departure Area after the TRS can be Vastly improved with trolleys for Shoppers, this shortcoming can easily be address by the Management. Travellers good experiences is what s a Great airport is about. Hope to see improvements asap wef Winter 18.

Good airport, they have done a great job. One improvement is must. Public sanitation system, current setup require a major upgrade. It is very unhygienic due to poor ventilation and very small space makes it difficult during busy period. Specially around gate 10 areas, perhaps will make life more convenient for passengers. Thank you

Greed for money by the operators makes this one of the worst terminals in the world. Traffic, parking and a complete lack of public transport makes this place a joke. The place is continually congested and really unworkable. The place should be renationalised and completely overhauled. When when inside the terminals overcrowding is a huge huge issue. No wonder I don't go by plane any more if I can at all avoid it!!
