The emergency staff is always rude. You ask a question, they answer with an attitude. This is the worst hospital, I have ever been too. I rather drive hundreds of miles before I go back to this hospital.

I can not recommend this hospital enough. I live about 5 min away from Medical City of Plano but choose to go to Medical Center of McKinney because I was the closer and my mom experience with Plano was a very traumatizing one. Everyone from the ER, to the Trauma Care, and to the Surgery room, everyone was so nice. I got the same nurse/assistant throughout my stay (Extremely Lucky!)

Night Shift here was on another level! My nurse Morgan was on point on checking up on me! She s the sweetest!! And her assistant Harold another kind soul. He made sure not to wake me up if I was sleeping to check my vitals. These night crew are the best!! Chris and Anna from day were quick to come to my room when I needed them. Chris was good on keeping me on the loop on our game plan before the surgery.

I do wished I got to talk or see my specialist before my surgery but I understand everyone was falling and breaking bones from the horrendous/historic snow storm we had that weekend.

My husband who didn t stay a night but visited expressed the same. He didn t have any issue coming to visit me before and after work.

Dr. Yoon my surgeon answered my questions and worries the best he could. This was my first surgery so he kept me at peace.

Thank you so much Medical Center of McKinney!! And thank you for your hard work during these unpredictable times.

The nurses in labor and delivery (faith..traci..kita..madelynn (ty so much for being there) and bindu in postpartum are the reason you guys get 3 stars..it should be less.
However, there was a bottle mix up and we were mistakenly given someone else's milk. We were lied about it until I confronted the nicu nurse.
Made the rest of the stay uncomfortable.
Lynee and Alexis from nicu were awesome! However, the nurse who messed up handled the situation bad and if she were honest in the beginning it would of helped.
I do appreciate the hospital staff that reached out and tried to reassure me. It doesnt change what happened and just be aware of everything is my advice to parents.
It's sad this incident ruined our experience and not fair to the nurses who were amazing!

As a patient, care was good. Kudos to all the nurses who are taking care of all the covid patients. As a family member of a Covid patient who spent almost 3 weeks in hospital it was the worst experience of my life. Due to the hospital Covid19 policy which we were told was based on CDC guidelines, no one could visit the patient, even those who were recovered from Covid themselves. He had no one to keep him company or encourage him to fight for his life. Even when he was placed on Hospice Care the family had to fight multiple times for the chance to go in the ICU room to hold his hand tell him a final goodbye as he lay dying. If he had lived 2 more days he would have been considered not contagious based on his admittance date, NOT the date of his 1st symptoms

I had my baby here 4 days ago. The labor and delivery floor treated me excellent. Mrs Hillary RN went above and beyond for me before and after labor Erin RN also was amazing and Mrs Kim the supervisor even called to check on me days after. I cannot say enough good about this hospital. They treated me like family. I would always come here, i trust this hospital with my life and my family. Love you all!!

Went to the ER for chest pains, left alone most of the visit, didn t ask for a pain rate, the nurse Amy had horrible bed side, over heard nurses freaking out about mixing up patient blood work and laughing saying so who s covid test is this? I used Medical City of McKinney for the birth of both of my children and LOVED how much L&D took care of both myself & my babies, but the ER staff I had 1/27 was a joke, sloppy and I could not get out of there quick enough.

This hospital is above top notch for care and kindnesses. In every department (and I have interacted with A LOT) has a team of people who are friendly, attentive, informative and beyond caring!!! I feel blessed that in an unfortunate situation that I have been able to be cared for by such amazing people!!!

Brought in by ambulance from car accident. Treated immediately and professionally. I am a nurse and I had a great RN, PA , and xray techs who were easy and gentle with me.
I wanted to go home to recoup due to COVID. Had just had my vaccine that morning and not covered from virus yet.
I'm am still having headaches from concussion and body aches but being treated as outpatient with Dr. and Physical Therapist. Healing is slow but I am 65 and slower also.
Thank you,

Since the doctor withheld my dad s Fluid pills he developed congestive heart failure passed away less than 24 hours in the skilled facility once transferred. The records at the skilled facility showed that they put he was allergic to Lysik which was incorrect. He was complaining of smothering and not being able to breathe his oxygen level went down to 80, it was touching go and the next morning he passed away . Sadly incompetent!!!!
The list was given to the nurse and they wrote it down incorrectly we didn t catch it until he ended up in the skilled facility.

On October 28 - 30, 2017 I was brought to Medical ...

On October 28 - 30, 2017 I was brought to Medical Center Of McKinney by Ambulance one early morning. When I awoken in the ER there I remember very well that I was wearing my HD Night Driving/ Sun Shades. The reason why I have to wear these is because bright lights affect my eyes since that I am blind in one eye and the eye medicine I use makes me eyes super sensitive to light period,I see a lot better a night with them. I wear them in day time because my eyes are really sensitive in the day light.

But anyways back to the story of me being in the ER. I began having some kind of seizure there and plus I think I was also shaking violently because I was cold also.(wearing my shades(not broken). The next thing I know I reawaken for the second time, but this time I am in a room on the 3rd floor they had admitted me for some reason. I then realize that my shades were off my face and when I found them the left lens was missing. I became so angry because, these glasses I just don't wear them for a fashion statement, I depend on these glasses to give me comfort as I am out at night as well as in the day.

I cannot just walk into a sport store or any store in fact and purchase glasses like these. I have to order them online and it takes time to have them shipped to me and I can't be waiting on glasses to come to me, with the kind of schedule that makes me have to be out and about during the day and at night.(Back To The Issue At Hand)When I asked the nurses on the 3rd as to what happen to the left lens of my glasses they claimed they didn't know anything about it. So I became even more upset and I checked out of there ASAP.When I got down to the ER I asked the guy at the desk what happened to the my glasses(I explained to him what happened)he to claimed he didn't know and that he would ask around in the ER so when he came back he said absolutely no one knew how my glasses were damaged. He also went on to say that he couldn't go into the ER room that I was in and search because the whole ER staff was somewhere else other than the room I was in attending to a near death baby. He then went on to say that I couldn't go in to look for myself because of what was going on.

This dose not make any sense I am not disturbing anyone from doing their job for that poor baby. That is unheard of and ridiculous that they wouldn't let me go in and look for myself or he couldn't do it because of what is going on. If they have issues and can't attend to a near death patient , while I or someone else , look for equipment that I need to get around that is dumb and stupid and that hospital should not even be there. Me needing those glasses to get around it not important to them , other people that I have came across says that the Medical Center Of McKinney staff dose not care about their patients, and I do see that as of now from what has happened to me, about them damaging my glasses. (Anyways Back To My Complaint)So since the ER was being insubordinate towards me I began to get angry again and I began showing seizure like symposiums. This is where I showed my anger and began yelling.

The two security guards there, like the ER staff didn't care about my issue. At some point they both were discussing among st themselves that they were gonna call the police to escort me out. To add to this the heavy set security guard offered me some glasses and told me to where those as they look better. I just said in this statement that the glasses they broke are not for a fashion statement and plus those HD Night Driving/Sunshades that they damages the were a brownish-yellow which of course allowed to see well at night, and those sun glasses that the heavy set security guard gave were jet black and, served me no good at night. But he didn't even asked me as why the glasses that the Medical Center Of McKinney staff, broke, were so important me. He never, not even once asked me that or why was I so angry. Because like most of the Medical Center Of McKinney staff

The experience we have had since my mom has moved ...

The experience we have had since my mom has moved to the floor has been incredibly dis-satisfying. First thing, her room had DIRTY suction canisters left in the room by a previous patient that had another patients assuming saliva in it. It was disgusting. My mom is suppose to be monitored via remote tele on this unit. She pointed out to a tech the box wasn't even on. It was over an hour or more and shift change before it was even addressed. Then it was trouble shooter by two people bc after changing batteries it wasn't working. How long had it really been off? And whoever is monitoring the remote tele, why wasn't the nurse notified? She is on tele for a reason and there should be NO reason it's not on. The Med surg floor has no respect for a patient trying to get rest. The techs are loud when they come into check vitals. 3am a tech is checking the trash and letting the bathroom door slam, checking other trash and letting main door slam. A room doesn't need to be cleaned at 3am. Her SCDs had not been on her all day, they decided at almost midnight to come in wake her up to put them on. Why was this not done earlier? Each person that has come in this room has let the main door slam. It's been super disappointing bc up until my mother reaching the floor I felt she has been treated very well from ICU, PCU, and CDU. I've stayed with her several nights in all other units and have never had this much disrespect to a patient trying to get rest. It's probably been the worst care she has had since she's been here.

Everything leading up to my surgery and overnight ...

Everything leading up to my surgery and overnight stay was good. However, almost 3 weeks after surgery I tried calling the main number to get billing only to be told they were closed for the holiday and would reopen after the first of the year. Approximately 10 minutes later I called a second time to see if anyone else could help me find my patient account number only to get an attitude by the receptionist saying, they are closed until the new year. Twenty minutes later I get a call from some security guy from the hospital, supposedly, threatening me and saying that they had received calls from me and my boyfriend and that we better not call back or it will be recorded and reported. I AM NOT IMPRESSED with the customer service at the first point of contact for this hospital, the main number. I pray I never have to go back to that hospital.

Several of my health care providers are at this location. One is my cardiologist and the other my psychiatrist. Both have nice offices and great staff. I believe I have rated them individually elsewhere.

More than once I have been in this hospital. The first time for diverticulitis with peritonitis, and the other for an intestinal resection. In both instances, the nurses and nurse aids were very professional. So pleasant they were that I wrote a letter to the hospital staff commending them.

They don t really try to even care for you anymore. They run no tests just to be sure of things. They talk to you like you re incompetent. If someone comes in with a possible broken wrist why would you send them away with no pain meds or even just some X-rays? Yes I understand COVID is still a huge issue but people still have other problems. It s gone downhill.

My father was in there 6 months ago for a broken hip a d shoulder at the same time. The dr did not think the shoulder would need fixing and was going to let it heal. The staff on the ortho floor were very incompetent and would grab the broken arm to move him so he had to have a secondary surgery later for the arm. I will not be letting any of my relatives be place in this place again. There is also no reason to contact me because the point has been made.

**Update**

**Update**
Reviewed the previous with the quality department and they say they have addressed some of the issues. They say they have found the finger clip monitor with the exposed wire and removed it from service. That means that the person that I reported it to when at the hospital did nothing about it and it was in service for over a month after. The quality department also said that they addressed the numerous service issues with the nursing department. Can't attest to the results or if that happened. Regarding the HIPAA violation they say that because the ambulance company is a "covered entity" that it isn't a HIPAA violation. I told them that I don't believe that is the case and will be filing a HIPAA complaint with HHS at some point. Regardless if they are a "covered entity" they shouldn't have gained access to my records in order to incorrectly bill me and my insurance. It was the hospital's job to prevent this from happening in the first place and now I am taking time out of my schedule to clean this up

***Original***
Was in for emergency ruptured diverticulitis surgery. The surgery went better than expected and I am healing nicely. Regarding the hospital care it was inadequate at best. On numerous occasions I was left for over 20 minutes for various needs like going to the bathroom or left on the bed with no call button and a leaking IV. It also took too long to convince them that their pain management was inadequate. Then there was the nurse that cranked down the air conditioner because he was "hot" right before he gave me a towel bath. So then I am sitting there curled up like baby Voldemort freezing and shivering and he does nothing to remedy the situation. Most of the time I had stomach fluid on my hospital gown or bed because they didn t seem to know how to handle the NG tube. At one point I had no gown change in over 2 days and had stomach fluids all over the left side of the shoulder of my gown until another nurse after changeover got upset with the situation and cleaned me up. Other than the care issues the hospital and room seemed relatively clean. There was another issue regarding the finger clip monitor that had exposed wire and looks to have been previously taped with medical tape a few times. I reported that to the person transporting me room to room during the ER shuffle but I have no idea if it was ever addressed (Likely not). I also have an ambulance company saying that they transported me from one hospital to another while I was still in the hospital which didn t happen so I had to fight them for a few days before they said that it was supposed to be for someone else. I am still trying to figure out how that happened and how they got the correct patient information wrong in the first place. I can t compare this experience to other hospitals as this is my first major ER issue so can t really recommend going anywhere else instead. I could say go in with low expectations and they may exceed them.

I was transferred from Frisco to McKinney. The hospitalist was very rude and spent less than 2 minutes with me after I told him his diagnoses was not correct, he turned around and left me room. I was told a GI doctor would be in to see me within 6 hours, more than 12 hours later, no GI doctor, and I was left sitting and waiting and hungry. My family member contacted the GI doctor's office who informed her the doctor that the Hospitalist had said would be by to see me was in fact out of the COUNTRY! He never even checked on me. I was able to get myself releases and I went home. I would NEVER recommend this hospital to ANYONE! Not even if they were dying!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I have been "in and out" of a hospital 10 times since 2003, including OKC Integra (1), Plano Presbyterian (2), Allen Presbyterian (1), and Medical Center of McKinney (6). My wife has been in MCM two times and Allen Presbyterian once since 2009.

Three of those times for me have started in the ER. Getting in and getting treatment have been fast and with minimal paperwork. We have had as good or better treatment at MCM than the others. We are quite happy with MCM.

I went in for dog bite wounds, not serious- domestic dispute between sisters, and I was taken immediately to a room and the staff were amazing! This is the first ER I have ever been in that did not want to run unnecessary tests. Even with more serious cases coming in I didn't have to wait all night for the simplest things. This was my best experience in an ER.

One of the sorriest ER experiences of my 63 years ...

One of the sorriest ER experiences of my 63 years of life.
The EMT trainee who drew blood and placed the IV in my forearm had no supervision from his attending trainers as he proceeded to spill blood all over the gurney, my wristwatch, an his unprotected fingers as he attempted to insert the needle.
No attempt was made by staff to clean this bio-hazard during my entire visit; only crude jokes were offered as a solution.
The physician, a self-styled comedian named Armstrong, seemed more interested in my use of methadone than in attending to the medical issues at hand.
In short, I felt humiliated and minimalized in being treated as a "drug-seeker", which couldn't be further from the truth.
I can assure you that I did not request nor would I have accepted any type of narcotic for my condition--I merely wished to try and discover what was the cause of the severe pain I hadn't been experiencing for over 2 weeks.
I've always considered this hospital as one of the finest in town, which is why I came there for help.
Now however, I have serious reservations.

From entry in the front door to my wheelchair ride to leave the hospital, every person was above professional and caring and helpful. I could not have asked for a more competent and compassionate 2nd floor group of beautiful nurses and assistants. EVERY person was kind and concerned at anytime, day and wee hours of the night. This is the absolute WORST hospital I have EVER been to. The receptionist, Laura, on the main line refused to let me speak to a supervisor. They are incompetent, rude and insulting. I have never dealt with such poor professionalism in my ENTIRE life. I recently had an amputation and trying to find out where to go or who to talk to from the FRONT DESK WAS IMPOSSIBLE. She transferred me and my husband to El Paso 3 different times. When I asked to speak to Laura s supervisors she transferred me to SECURITY and said I was making a threat. Then I asked security to transfer me to a supervisor and they HUNG UP ON ME! I plan on reporting all events to the medical board.

CON My only complaint about this medical facilit...

CON My only complaint about this medical facility is if your female spouse, female significant other or female adult child is put into a room on the 2nd floor and has to stay over night and you're male you can not stay with them over night by their bedside for emotional support. You are made to leave the room to go out to the waiting room until morning. To me this is such an out dated rule in todays society. I've been in many hospital facilities and was ALWAYS allowed to spend the night next to my spouse in a chair near her bedside... especially to give her support and comfort during the night.

PRO Every doctor, nurse or tech were completely understanding, kind, generous, amazing hospitality and always checked on my spouse. I was very happy to see such generosity and support the staff gave especially being knowledgeable and getting answers quickly.

I've read in other reviews that the hospital was dirty and filthy I do not know where they are looking, but this hospital is a VERY clean place. Every staff member always cleans their hands during visits. Janitorial is always sweeping, mopping or wiping down floors and walls.

Very satisfied with the way the staff cared for my spouse and glad my spouse was blessed with being in good hands.

Overall I had a good experience at this hospital. If there was one thing I wish was better, it would have been the nurses explaining what I needed to do, when and how. They put daily goals on a board in your room, but didn't give enough details. Some of the nurses I had were absolutely amazing and some just didn't seem very sincere. Overall, it was not a bad experience though.

I was going to eventually get around to writing how AMAZING this hospital is but it wasn t until I ended up at Baylor in McKinney that I realized how much I LOVE this hospital (Medical City McKinney) and will NEVER go anywhere other than Medical City. I was a high risk pregnancy and spent most of the last 4 months admitted on the L&D floor. All the nurses and doctors loved their jobs. They loved what they were doing. If they were having a bad day it was never taken out on a patient. I only really saw 2 people who weren t like this 100% of the time. The nurses remembered my husband and I every time we would go back and be readmitted. They redid their cafeteria food for patients and menu while we were there and it s so good! I befriended a few of the nurses and it s always a pleasure to see any of them. They never make you feel like you re being interrogated when you tell them why you are there and I feel like the staff actually listens. If there s a problem it is resolved very quickly. They are very attentive and if they don t have an answer to your question/problem they will find one. 100/10. Highly recommend!!!

Showed up on time for an hour's procedure. ALMOST 5 HOURS LATER!!! I'M TAKEN IN TO SURGERY. I spent that 5 hours hooked up to drip bags and left in a pre-op room. My questions to the various staff passing through determined that there were 7 operating rooms, but management had not adequately staffed them, so a single emergency brought the whole system to a crashing halt. The doctors and nursing staff were very nice, the problem lay with hospital management. One doctor stated that he has to apologize daily for this ongoing ineptitude. Several "excusists" also came in and skillfully sidestepped questions and avoided taking any responsibility, as I'm sure they had a lot of practice doing. Can I point you to Baylor Scott & White just down the road?

This is the first bad experience with this facility but the entire visit was less than positive. While spending a day and a half in the ER before being moved to a room (I was admitted within the first couple of hours) the head of nursing hospitality came by and asked if he could get me a snack, pillow, or an 8 year old girl. With everything going on these days a remark like that is not only unprofessional and tasteless but dangerous for the hospital s reputation as well as the physicians working there. Three days in without seeing the doctors I needed to see I finally had enough and checked out and went to a different hospital. Very disappointed and appalled at how I was treated. They offered nothing to rectify the situation and basically expedited my departure even with open wounds. Will not return here if at all possible.

There needs to be a 10 star rating for this facility. They are head and shoulders above the rest! I have been to Medical City McKinney twice now. The last time was for hip replacement. I have always felt like I was their only patient. The staff, regardless of their position, is consistently friendly, cheerful and professional. They quickly put me at ease with care and humor when I went in for the hip replacement. As long as I have the option, I will never go anywhere else for hospital care.

This was the most horrific experience I ve ever had at during my emergency room visit. Plus they just put me in a hall...I had gone in an ambulance and they couldn t give me anything even though I was in pain. The doctor I had was horrible!! And the nurse was even worse. DO NOT GO HERE if you need actual medical attn. I left AMA and went to Presbyterian in Plano amd they said my gallbladder was about to burst and I had to have it removed immediately. I should sur for negligence & malpractice. I was treated horrifically !!!! Never was my blood drawn. I was in so much pain, and was given haldol (a sedative given to psychiatric patients). Oh my God. These people are so horrible. Plus the doctor DID NOT have a mask on. Uy just one of my worst experiences.

While the ER was very adept at controlling the pain in my lower back they were only able to take X-rays which we all knew there were no broken bones. So X-rays were just an added cost and would not show the probable herniated disc. I needed a cat scan of my lower lumbar. However, the ER was unable to perform that procedure and simply prescribed medication to control the pain and referred me to a spine dr. whom I could not get an appointment with for 10 days.

So my wife is in surgery and the nurse comes out and says that the TV will have updates along with texts on the progress of the surgery....then she says... if her name goes off the TV, that doesn t mean she s dead .....are you serious? The nurses here need some serious PR training. While I was waiting, I heard her say that to other people there... seems to be her standard line that is completely insensitive and needs to be corrected.

Second, post surgery, the nurses seem very inexperienced and uninterested in having a sense or urgency when dealing with patients. IVs running empty, wrong IV bags, dropping IV connectors on the floor, lack of responsiveness in a timely manner.

Facility is great.... just reeeeaaly need to work on PR.

The lactation specialists were top notch in making sure my baby was able to breastfeed and were so patient with us. The food was much better than typical hospital food as well! Thank you to all Medical City staff!!

I received the very best of care by ALL my caregivers and Doctors. They were ALL polite, courteous and very
professional in every case. I would highly recommend Medical City Hospital. I was treated with dignity and not as a mere patient. If you ever need a hospital, don t be afraid to go to Medical City Hospital in McKinney.

We took our toddler hear for an outpatient surgery and had an excellent experience-from admissions to discharge, this place treated us very well. And, I think they actually LIKED their job! Also, I did some pricing around the greater Dallas area for ear tubes and this place was the least expensive, so bonus!

Wow. I had the most amazing experience at this hospital! I gave birth here 12/14/2020! I was over loaded with love from each and every staff member in Labor and delivery! Every single one of them had the biggest heart and made me feel comfortable and safe! I can t say it enough EVERY single staff member was truly incredible! My doctor was dr. Sadler and she was the best as well!
Labor and delivery floor was clean, nice, comfy, and the food was AMAZING as well! 10/10. Thankful to have had such a great experience for my first child birth! I will never forget this hospital and how amazing they were to me and my family!

I had an overall great experience delivering my son here. I love how you can basically schedule your delivery ahead of time for your due date. Although I didnt make it to mine it still worked in my benefit doing it early. All my nurses were kind and confident! I love how my baby had his own nurse and I had my own as well. Only con was I did get bruising from trying to get an IV started. I was pricked 4-5 times before it was successful it left some bruises but after 2 weeks they are gone. At the time I was dehydrated so that could have added to why it was hard to start my IV. But other than that I highly recommend. They had all the supplies I requested in my birthing plan.

The medical service and facilities are very good. However, I cannot give 4 or 5 stars, because the billing process is convoluted, and it is very difficult to get a straightforward statement of what I owe. I get statements ranging from $600 to $12000. On top of that, you never know what consulting physician is going to take a look at your information and 3 months later send you ANOTHER bill for ANOTHER 1200 bucks. All that should be much more straightforward.

Do not trust this hospital with your private information!!! I just called their customer service/billing department to discuss a bill from a visit that I had with them in 2016. I gave the customer service rep my name and DOB, but nothing else. She then tells me that she has the account pulled up and starts to give me information about ANOTHER PATIENT! I know the date of service this patient was seen, what they were seen for, how much their bill is, the settlement offer they made to this patient. All because this rep doesn't understand HIPAA laws! When I pointed it out to the representative, she proceeded to not give me any additional information which was good, but wouldn't even give me her name. So unless you want the world to know your private information, I would go to Baylor.

Staff was extremely attentive and so sweet! My mother had day surgery on her back and we received text messages with updates about every 30 minutes. The sweetest lady came by the waiting room with snacks and a smile for everyone. Very impressed!

Do not go to this Hospital. They have a Nurse Jackie there that will steal your medications and the hospital will cover it up. I had to call the McKinney Police Department to make a report about the stolen medicine because the hospital refused to give me ANYTHING. In the end I checked myself out of the hospital with a blood pressure of 180/105 afraid for my life. If you want to live, go somewhere else. They don't care. Oh by the way, I'm on my way to another hospital because the hospitalist did not call in my asthma medication to the pharmacy and now I'm having a acute attack

How does this place stay in business.

How does this place stay in business.
Mis-diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home.
Didn't feel good about diagnosis, so went to our family doctor next day and she sent me to have scan. Blood clots were found in my lungs.
Sad.

I can not express how great everyone was to me, Dr. Shirvani and Dr. HAWK , ALSO A DR. SHEW was as sweet and kind to me and kept me confortable about my surgery. I remember a young man named David that was wonderful, a precious black lady that talked with me in the operating room and I was never uneasy about it at all. Although I will say I knew the LORD had me in his hands all the way. The sweet nurses that took care of me were absolutely wonderful! There were two young men that helped me that was so sweet to me also on the floor. Im so thankful and tried to be sure to tell each one THANKING THEM FOR WHAT THEY DO. My experience at Medical City in McKinney was and will always be a precious memory for me for the way I was treated.

My mother in law went to this ER and ended up bein...

My mother in law went to this ER and ended up being admitted and stayed 4 days, she notified the staff upon arrival about her allergies and they continued to give her a treatment with what she is allergic too, she started having a reaction and they just gave her benadryl and kept giving her the treatment, when she asked them if it had it in it they denied it and said no, after continued questioning they decided to contact the pharmacist and they said yes it was in there, then even after confirmation on what she was allergic too, they tried to give it to her again...! then when she spoke up, the nurse flipped out was VERY RUDE--- grabbed the treatment off her face with force, threw it in the trash and said THERE DID YOU SEE THAT.>!! DID YOU SEE THAT I THREW IT IN THE TRASH!1 NOW YOU WONT BE GETTING IT..!! really??? what NURSE does this?? you have an elderly women in the hospital that cant breath and having a reaction to the medication they are giving her that she is allergic too cause they can't READ and maintain proper records and then has to be treated like that.. she was afraid to say anything in fear that they would treat her bad or different.. I work for a very large and reputable hospital, and I will continue to contact the appropriate person to file a complaint on this AM nurse.. I know her charge nurse was Philip.. and she wears glasses..mid 40's-50's white- so if you know this nurse please let her know I will follow up on her actions and this be addressed- If need to call CMS or Joint Commission I will do this as well, no patient should fear on how they are treated, they do not need to be a nurse if they treat people this way.. Also will be contacting Employee Relations as well.

The ER check-in staff was professional, efficient ...

The ER check-in staff was professional, efficient (I was checked in and in a room being seen in under 6 minutes) and personable! My problem is with my ER nurse. He was very dry. Very rude and had an attitude for no reason. I understand healthcare workers are overworked but he didn t communicate after care with me effectively and did not take my condition seriously. Thank god for the WONDERFUL PA who worked on me. She was absolutely amazing. Very kind, gentile, reassuring, caring, and quick! She is the real reason for the 3 stars because she honestly deserves 6!

I also am giving three stars (opposed to 1) because the next day an older nurse called my personal cell to check-up on me and see how I was doing! She even was able to correct false information that the previous ER nurse gave me . Overall, not horrible but not great either....and my emergency wasn t even that serious.
