As a patient, care was good. Kudos to all the nurses who are taking care of all the covid patients. As a family member of a Covid patient who spent almost 3 weeks in hospital it was the worst experience of my life. Due to the hospital Covid19 policy which we were told was based on CDC guidelines, no one could visit the patient, even those who were recovered from Covid themselves. He had no one to keep him company or encourage him to fight for his life. Even when he was placed on Hospice Care the family had to fight multiple times for the chance to go in the ICU room to hold his hand tell him a final goodbye as he lay dying. If he had lived 2 more days he would have been considered not contagious based on his admittance date, NOT the date of his 1st symptoms
