The BEST I've ever dealt with! I was recommended to Master's from my realtor when I started looking for a house. I can't believe how easy they made the process from the first phone call. I emailed all my information (securely) and within a day I was ready to go. That's it, not 100 phone calls, not waiting for days, just ready to go. Once I found a home to purchase they were right there ready. My loan was approved in 24 hours and I didn't have to worry about it again. I could focus on the rest of the buying process. When we were ready to close on our new home and sat down to sign the paperwork, everything was EXACTLY what we originally discuss, down to the penny. We have purchased a lot of homes over the years and have never had all the financial parts come out as when we first started. I am beyond happy I went with Master's and would recommend them highly!
I have had the pleasure of working with Randy Masters and his team for the past 3+ years. Back in 2014, the Masters Team Mortgage was able to work with number of banks to get my loan approved to purchase my first house (after being declined/rejected by two other lenders/banks). Since then, I have been able to refinance the loan on a number of occasions to lower interest rate/mortgage insurance rate and convert from FHA to conventional loan. 1: Applied and sent all requested documents on 5/11/2020
2: After long wait and several follow ups on updates - got the pre-approved letter on 5/23
3: On 5/25 Put in an offer for a lovely place in Rocklin
4: 5/27: Offer got accepted
Started following up with Masters team to start the underwriting approval process, received some communication initially but then it went all quiet. Kept on following up to provide us an update on what is going on. Whenever we were able to receive a response it all was same - "We are waiting for an update from our underwriter".
on 6/4 - Sent an email asking for a response by noon of 6/5 stating that if no response is provided we would not proceed further.
Got a call from MTM saying that we would certainly receive an update by the specified time.
No response received on 6/5 till 2 PM and requested our realtor to start the offer withdrawal process risking the earnest money.
Extremely disappointed!!
Lost faith in such unprofessional circumstances - how would a long term relationship last with a lender if in the beginning itself the company shows such apathy to someone's dream home!

Randy Masters helped get us into our first home. We later asked him about refinancing and he advised against it. We went to another person and refinanced anyway. Had we listened to Randy we would still have that house. This was early 2000. We just came to see Randy again for advice. We wouldn't go to anyone else. It's hard to earn my trust, but Randy Masters has it.
My only regret about my loan process is that I didn t go with Masters team sooner. Upon making an offer on my dream home, I was working with another lender who was recommended by my realtor. I decided to shop around for the best loan (even though I was on a major time crunch). In part my decision to shop around was because I felt my mortgage was too much per month with my original lender and that his APR was too high as well. I made some inquiries about a loan with BofA and Masters Team. To start off Masters Team was right in the middle. My previous lender was highest, BofA was the lowest. I was very hesitant on going with BofA because you just don t get the same level of customer service than you do with a smaller company, plus my mom tried to modify her mortgage after my dad passed away and they did absolutely nothing to help her, so they were not an option. From the first time I spoke to Randy he was there to help. It was my first time buying a home so I didn t even know the basics. He spent a good half an hour explaining the process to me and told me that even if I didn t go through them, he was there to help. He told me to send him the proposals I had and he matched BofA s loan! Then came the amazing part! I decided to go through Masters Team on July 3rd and Heidi was able to close on the 20th!! They made everything happen super fast! Had they not made this happen for me I would be paying more storage fees and twice the cost for movers (roughly 3,500). I am so grateful to everyone involved, especially Heidi. I know I was frustrated at many times throughout the process, mostly because I had my original lender telling me what Masters Team was promising was impossible, but they not only had amazing patience/customer service... they delivered! I saved $130/month on my mortgage. Thank you Masters Team!!
Where do I start after having a bad experience with Bank of America. I decide to use a mortgage company that I could walk into there office and talk with them face to face. I spoke with Randy Master and explained my experience with B of A and then explained what I was looking for with minimal hassle. Randy told me and showed me what he could do in my case providing that I qualify and he and his team did just that. There where a few minor issues that were out of Master Team Mortgage's hands but they held to their word and did an excellent job.
