Marriott, you should be embarrassed. It should be an easy, no-brainer to give a hotel like this a four star rating. But when you are taking advantage of regular customers the way you are, that leaves a really bad impression.

Here's what I'm a little wound up about. This is a hotel that has a contract with at least one major, global airline for crew to be staying there on a regular basis. This means, that they have a couple dozen rooms rented out exclusively for crew, daily. It is common practice for such hotels, to give a substantial discount for crew to dine in at the hotel, because, obviously, they have a rather lucrative contract, which, automatically keeps a couple dozen rooms booked year round. They obviously don't need to be trying to make their main profit off of the crew meals.

In this particular hotel, this "discount" exists, HOWEVER (wait for it), when I order a meal off of the room service menu, the "discount" is almost completely erased by "room delivery fees". For example, when I order salmon for $24, I am billed $12... PLUS tax and fees which add up to....AN ADDITIONAL $10!!! Yeah. So the 50% discount actually ends up being about...TWO DOLLARS OFF. That's right. $24 down to $22. Seriously Marriott?? You are that hard up for money? It's just poor form.

Speaking of poor form, the way my room is laid out requires that I lay on my side and watch TV all the way across my room. I know. Maybe it's the problem of having a corner room, and it is just laid out wrong. But still. I expect more.

Further, about that whole "expect more" bit...as I travel around the world, I have become accustomed to having somewhere to place my checked bag when I check into a room. Am I supposed to be digging through my large suitcase as it lies on the floor in a corner of the room? Evidently so, here at the Marriott Quorum.

So, why even bother with 3 stars? Well, the beds are incredibly comfortable. The rooms are reasonably clean, although dated 20 years behind the rest of the world. Ultimately, it is a decent location here as well, with about 50 great dining options handily close by. And that's fortunate, because I'm not gonna be dining in at the Marriott any time in the near future, unless they do something about that great "discount"!~

I only attended for a professional event over the lunch hour but the food was excellent and the technical set-up (lighting, microphones, etc.) worked perfectly. The staff were helpful and pleasant. I would consider hosting a professional event here.

I was greeted by friendly staff and checked in very quickly. The hotel had nice decor and is very clean. The rooms are also very nice and are a descent size. This is one of the nicest fitness centers I have seen at a Marriott and have a lot of different equipment to use.

Stayed here while visiting family during the holiday. Arrived after a late flight, 11:30pm and instantly there was a problem. Used the restroom and the water wasn t filling back up. After 30 minutes of the sound of hearing running water while trying to wind down became quite annoying so I called the front desk. He stated he d send an Engineer but that I d have to leave the room due to their social distancing policy. So I had to get redressed then head to the lobby after a long day and late flight while the service was taking place. Around 12:30am, the engineer finished and I returned to my room. I d used the bathroom an hour later and the issue was still present. I refused to get dressed again to go elsewhere so I just ignored the running water and fell asleep.

The next morning, I went to take a shower. The water was not at all hot. Literally lukewarm. I suffered through and turned the heat all the way up to lessen the chill after my shower.

This time, I decided to go down to the front desk in person and speak with someone. I expressed my frustrations about the night before, then let them know that their water is not hot. So the young lady at the front desk advised that she would have an engineer return to my room to see why the water isn t getting hot. In the meantime, she explained it because I was on a high floor, the water takes longer to get to the higher floor and that was the reason for the lukewarm temperature. She also stated the possibility for the water temperature or lack thereof was probably because they were at 9% occupancy. I let her know that I would be gone for the rest of the day and late into the night, so if the engineer could come in and fix it, they would have had full access and opportunity. Returned that evening around 11:30 PM, and still no hot water. By the next morning when it was time for me to take my shower, the same issue was occurring. By now, I was beyond frustrated and contacted the front desk by phone. I spoke with Carrie who said she was a manager. When I started to explain my discomfort and frustration with my stay so far, she cut me off and stated that me having a room on a top level was the problem. Her tone was very nonchalant, and she stated rather in differently that it will probably be better for me to go to a lower level floor in order to get hot water. I explained to her that I was already settled into the room and didn t expect to be further inconvenienced with a move. She responded very matter-of-factly saying that she d send another engineer but that I d have to leave my room again. This wasn t a feasible option, because I was preparing for a shower. To re-dress only to go sit in the lobby yet again for God knows how long wasn t making sense. Furthermore she didn t seem to care about my issue as a guest and I ended up ending the conversation with her and emailing the guest services supervisor. They weren t any help either. I explained the situations and how Carrie s lack of shared urgency or care was disappointing. The guest services supervisor returned the email in a blanket response that was evasive and half hearted. Their solution was to offer me $20 in the form of a Starbucks voucher along with a blanket statement of how they strive to make every guest s experience a memorable one. Needless to say the $20 voucher was left in my room unused. I didn t want hot coffee or tea, just hot water for a shower. None of the staff at this property was able to uphold or reinforce customer service standards. However, they definitely succeeded in making my stay a memorable experience.

Seems like a great place. The bartender was great, she had a great personality and made a wonderful long island tea!! The evening guy at desk was a little overboard with his mask wearing policy, but I guess you get that in some places. Some people had drinks but were still forced to use masks.

I recommended this hotel to my college friends for our 25th reunion and they booked 8-10 rooms at this hotel. After arriving back to the hotel after the meet and greet we had multiple calls to the front desk about the noise level at 12:30am. So instead of the hotel putting a block of rooms together they separated everyone. I have never heard of quiet time in a hotel but when were told to be quiet or they would call the police on us the next time. Very unprofessional...very emabarrasing for me because I recommended the hotel and we were not offered an alternative solution besides be quiet or have the police come to the room. I will make sure to let all of my Facebook, IG, LinkedIn, and Twitter friends know that the Marriott Addison is not a customer friendly hotel and please take your business elsewhere.

I have to change my stars from one to three because they did fix my complaint I had for missing promotional gift cards. I would give this place a second try and then I will change my review once again. Thanks Marriott

Was an overnight guest for my cousin's wedding. The actual ballroom and guest rooms were nice, as well as the service but the elevators were really slow and needed to be updated and the ice machine was out of order on numerous floors. Overvall it was a good hotel and great location.

I am a SPG member and i've booked countless Marriott's around and have never had such a awful experience in my life like i did on 1/31/19. I was driving in from California and my partner was meeting me at the hotel. He had never been there so he went straight to the parking garage to wait for me. The "security" guard drove her car right up to his car and when he asked her how to get into the hotel she said you need to leave. When he tried to explain he was staying there she called the police on him and they surrounded him in the garage like a common thief. Luckily the officers had better customer service than this despicable woman. When i called the manager to let him know about the situation and that i wouldn't be staying there after this, he said that they had car break ins and that was why she wouldn't answer any of his questions and called the police on him. I will never stay at this place again.... absolutly the worst experience i've ever had a Marriott.

The hotel is very nice, the rooms as well. The breakfast is way too expensive for the things they offer and in the room you won't find pre set water and thats annoying and you dont have amenities besides the shower ones.

Service was amazing!! Everything offered at breakfast tasted great, from the mimosas to the oatmeal. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure! We had to lower the AC down to 65 in order for it to be cool enough to sleep. The room was also a little humid.

Complete false advertising. Looked at rooms online and booked one of the suites with 2 bedrooms pretty luxurious, pictures of the room looked amazing. I'm a member so I thought I was getting a good price for the room I booked. As we arrived to the hotel, the vallet swarmed like hawks. Handing one of them my keys I made sure to ask if it was free and they said it was $28 so I right away I told them I was going to park it myself but was going to check in because we arrived late and didn't want any complications. He said he was going to move the car forward because it was in the way.... Ok... Get to the front desk, information is all mixed up finally get to the room and to my surprise.the smallest most out dated room I've ever stayed in. Carpet came from my grandma's house in the 80's. Bathroom is very nicely updated and modern. Called and tried to get our situation worked out since this was not the room we payed for. They apparently had no idea what we were talking about, didn't fix the situation and now the 3 of us are sleeping in this tiny outdated room with no microwave. Make sure you confirm what you buy.
Update : in changing the rating of my review due to the service I save experienced. From the bell hops to the front desk and especially the restaurant staff. Our morning was made by the happy, inviting staff when we went down stairs for breakfast. Unfortunately we have chosen to take our business elsewhere for our 2nd night but I'm glad there is something worth the money here

Al the lobby ambassador is amazing. He walks the room to greet me every time I stay at this location. The entire staff knows me by name and always makes me feel welcome. Kim and James in the bar area are friendly and always attentive. They both always remember my drink of choice. Roshandra at the Starbucks station is amazing as well. She sees me heading that way and has a drink ready when I get there. The ENTIRE staff is the best I have ever seen.

Everyone here was very kind. I was always asked if I needed anything. Everyone was very courteous and I felt like I was at a 2nd home. I love staying here at this hotel when I come up to play my USTA Tennis Sectionals Tournament.

I've had some issues with the room two weeks in a row, but the shift manager has been very helpful. Last week they gave me a meal credit for the inconvenience of swapping rooms & the Addison Grill came thru with a nice steak.

I was given a room here because my airlines messed up my flight. It was a wonderful haven on a busy trip. Check-in was fast and friendly. They supplied me with complimentary toiletries beyond what is normally in the room since my suitcase went on to my destination. The room was beautiful, modern and clean.

There service on check-in it socks they said they don't have my name there list. But show my copies or register then they keep looking until found it. How ever they said we not have your room ready so I wait for 3 hr and half. I don't recommend them. They suck.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.... I was charged TWICE for a room that was paid for already through Priceline, charged a different amount than what I signed for, for snacks, then told by staff that it would be 5 business days before it would be credited back and that the have no idea how that happened!!!! Horrible service! !!

The good point is, they are all professional and kind to customers. I was just sorry that the parking lot holding bar did not work properly, the elevator at the gate from the parking lot to hotel was out of service. They have renovated upper floor recently, but the rooms have no bath tub. Only shower booth. So if you prefer bath tub, please get your room under 5 floor.
