I'm a freelance producer and photographer and sometimes work is not always available within my field. I joined Syft nearly 6months ago and I love Syft! Work is always available for you if you want. The hourly rates are really good and you get your money the following week. If you are responsible, punctual and hard-working this is the app/agency for you.

A lot of mixed reviews and opinions. Personal first impressions are that they are a professional and efficiently run agency. The induction was run swiftly. However I ve witnessed issues with people getting paid and syft taking little to no responsibility in getting these issues resolved.

NEVER WORK FOR SYFT.

This may be the worst support team I've ever seen.

I put in a simple request for a P45 and it has been 3 months I have still received nothing. Every time I follow this request up all I am told is 'this is been past on to the relevant team and you should receive it within 2 weeks.' Which is useless information and frankly a lie. You should be ashamed that you would treat a past employee like this. I used to recommend friends and other students to Syft but now I will be telling everyone to stay away from your employment. Absolute Joke.

Worst agency to work with.
Customer service (if I can call it a service) is more than terrible. No one at Syft cares about You. Strongly wouldn't recommend to work for it as there are many more better agencies. One star is way too much for them.

Syft keeps adding workers to its platform, which made employees more than the offers available, i have to spend most of my time on the up to find a shift, and honestly most of shifts are gone before you even press accept...please stop inviting people to induction sessions...it is getting very hard to secure shifts with you...

Not flexible. Advertises that you can pick and choose shifts that suits you. This is not the case. When trying to cancel a shift with more than 24hrs notice they come up with excuses as to why they cant. Wages are always incorrect thats if you get paid at all on time.

Im with part of 3 other mobile app staffing platforms and syft is by far the best. A lot of shifts are available, and during the on boarding session they really explain to you in detail what they are about. You can make your work fit around your schedule and work only as much as you want to, a lot more flexibility. The pay rate is also really good.

Good for temporary work and last minute jobs. I m a student and I prefer to pick up work this way, it s easy and the rate to work is higher than most jobs. The app needs improving as it tends to crash a lot but other than that, I m happy to work with Syft.

I have been denied my pay for a shift on the 15th and I need my money earned for Bill's to be paid!! Also, why am I having a no show on my account when I did go to a shift booked. It's not fair sort it out!

This enrollment process was one of the worst and most patronising experiences I have ever faced. Firstly, the woman in charge was incredibly rude to all participants, completing shutting down questions and nearly bringing one poor woman to tears, who nearly walked out. She was belittling and condescending to everyone. The actual interview process was for me personally fine, since I was not given this lady. However, my friend who was given this lady as their interviewee recalls her being incredibly rude and patronising during said interview - completely throwing her off. Thirdly, the assessment that we were forced to do in front of everyone was ridiculous - being made to carry 5 plates on one hand, which granted, is necessary to be able to do if a waitress, however the way in which it was carried out was awful and far too daunting - of course participants will not be able to carry it out to the best of their ability if being scrutinised by one man and stared at the 50 other applicants! Lastly, what really topped it all off is that after this grueling experience, I did not hear anything from them afterwards, whether it be a call or an email, which is completely ridiculous, since I answered every single question CORRECTLY during the interview, and I am convinced that the reason that I did not get 'verified' is due to my little finger not being in the correct position whilst carrying the 5 plates on one hand. An ABSOLUTE waste of time and an awful process to be a part of.

A great way to earn extra money. The app is a good platform although has its glitches at times in terms of clocking in and out and disappearing or changing shifts. One of the people in office answering their phones could be a little less matter-of-fact / borderline rude, but otherwise everyone has been really helpful.

On the whole they're a great company to work for and incentivise hard work through a whole host of company benefits, nights out, competitions, and facilities such as next day payment in busy times like the run up to Christmas.

Have not yet had an issue that hasn't been resolved, Syft has helped a lot in these last couple of years when I've needed extra work!

Conceentrate on your employees over growth, otherwise they will defect to other agencies such as coople, which I won't hesitate to do unless you sort out my pay within 24 hours

Great for people who want to make a bit of extra money on the side.

I was able to pick shifts when they suited me and the pay is decent for the work associated with the industrial, warehouse and security related roles.

I signed up using the app and completed my online health and safety compliance checks, which was pretty much straightforward, watch a couple of videos and answer the questions at the end. Then I attended the interview at one of their offices to verify myself.

Simple as that!

Fabulous company. They are transparent and uncondescending, which is a rare pleasure at a London hospitality agency.
The platform is free and easy to use and really well paid too. It also encourages a huge amount of independence so if you require someone to constantly keep an eye on you to work I would not recommend Syft

Its a good company to work for if you are looking for temporary or occasional work. Some clients will try and recruit you if they see you are a hard worker, so don't be scared to say 'no'. The pay is the national minimum 8.40 plus holiday pay (so youll see the total of 9.50 smth on your app). if you are smart enough and willing to risk, wait till the very last minute, the hourly rate will go up, if Syft cannot find anyone to fill up the role. This is especially true for busy periods. Last tip, sign up with a few agencies at the same time, to ensure youve for work when you need it the most. Unpunctual wages payments I am still waiting for missed wages , they don't provide enough shifts even the few that they offer they are too far away even out of London, their main problem is they don't care about their staff neither they don't help them at all . I feel completely disappointed with them . I will go to another agency because I don't want to work for free or getting delayed wages payments .

SYFT ONLINE LTD YOUR DOWNFALL IS ROUND THE CORNER! I encourage anyone who is reading this review to NOT join this agency. Payroll are THIEFS, the office staff are UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE and the agency overall does not care about any of their staff. No matter your experience and hard work, they will never acknowledge your efforts and at least try and stick out an arm for you if you find yourself in a situation. They will do anything to please the client, even if it means cancelling your shift less than 24 hours before the start time and when you try and claim four hours compensation they come up with a pathetic excuse of compensations are made at their discretion. SYFT NOT EVERYONE IS STUPID JUST BECAUSE WE CLEAR TABLES!!! Some of us are university graduates or university students. Do not take advantage of us and think we do not have a brain to put two and two together. They are so quick to take a cheeky 5 GBP from your pay from time to time hoping you wouldn't notice. But imagine when its done to 1'000s of us? They are just pocketing our HARD EARNED MONEY! The dodgyness of this company will soon come to an end and see their downfall. They fail to pay staff correctly but will make sure at any cost that they take back any money they overpay you without any explanation. Not to mention they tax you crazy amounts that never add up and will be quick to delete things from your profile if they know you can turn around and use it as evidence. They are all useless, inconsiderate and I will make sure I will spread the word.
DO NOT WORK FOR THEM, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT STAFF AND OUR WELL BEING!

In response to management - you will not try and help! I hold so much resentment in my heart for how I have been treated as a loyal and hardworking staff.I have sent countless emails begging you to pay me correctly, asking you to compensate me for shifts that got cancelled less than 24 hours before the start time yet you refused several times and also have deleted networks off my profile and deleted cancelled job notifications off my profile just so that I do not have evidence and be rightfully compensated. Yet when I send you proof, you still find a smart way of talking and not trying to understand my rights as stated in the terms and conditions as a Syft worker. Your greed for stealing off hard working staff will soon come and show its ugly face.

I have been trying for a month to get Syft to pay a shift I have done where their client marked me as no show although I was there and I have been ticked off on their lists 3 to 4 times.... there is no way to contact Syft London except through a chat and even then you chat with someone from a diffrent city.
It is very disappointing for me because I've always respected the commitment to the shifts I took, always on time and my work is not paid because someone, somewhere wants to save money and Syft can't be bothered to do the right thing.

Did my first shift with them and i was underpaid. Contacted the support team multiple times to tell them the correct hours I did, and was simply told the employer confirmed that my working time was correct and that was that. When I stated that they send me a copy of the paper time sheet that I used on the shift, they could not provide it and completely ignored me. You could also see on the app the time and the location I was when I arrived and left the venue that evening. Disgusting.
Glad I did one shift to test it first, much better agencies out there that give you signed paper copy of your shifted hours to avoid mistakes like these. I then ask for my p45 and to be remove from the system and it took them weeks to do so. Absolutely ridiculous.

The recruiter in the Interview asked me questions with very fast English and when I told him that I spoke very little English He continued to speak to me above, he didn't even ask me about the role or something inherent., To forget for sure if you don't speak English I don't recommend ......

This isn t a company I would recommend to anyone.
The induction session is really pleasant and they go on about how the agency is pro worker but I have received the worst experience of any agency I have worked for in my life.
I turned up for a shift and still haven t been paid for it, I understand that things go wrong and mistakes are made but I am more annoyed about the lack of care when syft have been dealing with my issue. I called after my emails weren t responded to after the 24 hour advertised response rate had passed. When I call there was only one person who cared enough to try and help me and explain to me what is going on. I wouldn t be as angry if they would just keep me updated with what is going on but it seems that whenever I call they don t care. I feel like I was lied to during the induction as the interviewers advertised it as an amazing, pro worker and friendly agency when really they are like the rest. In fact worse.
Also the training of their team leaders/syft representatives are really inadequate. On My second shift for them, I had a team leader leave without half of the group he was in charge of to get a train back to London, Leaving us stranded and with no way to get to the train station, we had to pay for our own Uber to the train station so we wouldn t miss the train to London.
Don t believe what they said during the induction as it seems that they don t actually care about the wellbeing of their workers in practice.

Very disappointed with the agency and the app as well.Not enough jobs, and when someone does offer you a job you have literally 20 sec to accept it otherwise its gone.The way the app works its very frustrating, I've applied for all the jobs i could and i got nothing back because apparently the employer needs to accept you first so you need to wait and see if actually u got the job or not.I dont find equality between the employers and employees, this system doesnt allow to get everyone a job, i would rather go to an agency and just sign on and get a rota shift instead of wasting my time here.And also why u hiring people if there's no jobs on the app?

Syft is one of the places I would never advice anyone to go to work.Their staff are rude and have a dismissive attitude.
One of them picked up my jacket to hand over to me as if it was a dirt. She did not sit on the chair i left the coat. But she's just being sarcastic. What goes round will come round to her. She'll be a laughing stock to the public.
First impression last longer. They were asking people to show a friendly attitude when they're sent to work, but they themselves a're full of arrogance and pride.

One that I got his name as david ask me to take my documents and leave. Who spoke like that to a dog? He's pompous and will meet his match one day.

Am not surprised if they fumbled with people's wages as they're shambles.
They're nasty piece of work. I would have been in bed all day than to go and see their sad faces. Etc

Having applied for a positon with my local Sainsbu...

Having applied for a positon with my local Sainsbury in Thanet, Kent and completed the online syft app requirements and was verified blah blah blah I now receive numerous alerts daily for postions at London Colony Park which is out of my geographical area.

I have stopped alerts however they continue to arrive at great pace and strangely all for London Colony, St Albans. Is this a techinical fault with syft?

The disappointing fact being I followed the process however the job I applied for is not available any longer and I am being bombarded by alerts for a St. ALbans London store that isnt of interst or in my catchement area.

I am currently employed with a major competitor and frankly if this is how syft and Sainsbury plan to recuruit then its a sad day for retail.

This is honestly the worst agency, count yourself lucky if you get a job from everything you apply for online. Over 1000 people apply for the same position as you making your chances 1/100. Waste of time , data and energy. They send u an email to say "domes offered you a job" a second later the job isn't available, very unprofessional and had the worst recruiting consultant , she was American or Canadian i think based on her accent. They have No contact number only an email that takes over 2 weeks for a reply, don't let their comment back on negative feedback buy you, absolutely rubbish and not worth anyone's time. # go by the rating they've got, surely not everyone's lying?

Its so confusing and daunting when you do not know when you will be verified (been waiting for almost a week now putting off other jobs) and there is no office number to at least call... I think they should at least tell us when we would be verified after induction than telling us oh! you will be verified in atleast 2days so we are clear in our minds than to wait and not know when we will be verified.

The staff working seems very nice and I was excited to be a part of this community. Customer service cannot be called so email has to be sent in case of any issues.

Experience so far:
It took 4 weeks to get the first shift, once I gotten the first shift and it was a last minute one with higher rate it was a happy moment. Once on the job, all went fine and everyone was happy, clocked in and clocked out with the app with my location turned on.

Three days later, received an email that I did not show up for my shift and will not get paid yet.

It took 2 weeks to resolve that over emails and the payment is still pending.

They basically do whatever they want with employees like there s no rules.
You book and work a shift for a wage, they pay you the wage that they internally decide After.
They assign you a shift and It suddenly disappears from the app.
The customer service Is there Just to close the chat ASAP and not to sort out any problem.
If you want to have bad days please work for Syft.

Best pay in hospitality. I was really happy until I had a pay problem for a particular shift that they seem to completely ignore (even if I have sent them 5 emails about it in a month). However they are very keen to take their money back on your current salary after an over-payment that happened more than two months ago.

This is such a great agency, being one of Syft's clients we are regularly booking staff through the app. I can't express how easy the booking system is and then you have the staff name and confirmation in as little as 1 minute. I couldn't recommend it more!
