Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort Review

We were given a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of a bay. There was plenty to see and the view from the rooftop pool was gorgeous too. Lots to choose from for dining. My only complaint is the shower was not fully enclosed so half of your body was warm the other half was cold.

Interesting, lively, colorful, beautiful people....

Great performances, free live music 7pm - 9pm. Wed-Sunday.

Unfortunately it had a bad stale vibe, way over priced food, and no specials.

I enjoyed my stay over all. The customer service and the staff was amazing

The casual Atmosphere is the best with Tito & the band, who sound Great, Food is always really good especially the Mahi Mahi sandwich.The drinks are made right too! Love it.

Beautiful, fun setting on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. Flow Rider available for guests and public. Great fun! Food was tasty and service was good at the Landshark. Would love to go back!!

Really beautiful cafe near the beach. Not many healthy food choices.

The floor plan is very nice. I did think that the boutiques were a waste of space meaning they could do so much more with it. However the outside seem very lovely so I didn't get to spend too much time in the outside area

Everything was great except the beach was full of seaweed. Raking the beach would probably be helpful. All staff were really nice and helpful.

What a break from day to day life and it's mundane affairs!! The warm breezes and the smell of the sea as the back drop to the ambiance of various gourmet foods wafting over the walls and gateways along the board walk. Stop into a tiki hut for a drink you'd only order on the beach made to perfection. Enjoy some live entertainment that is truly a cultural treat. Everyone is happy all the time and the employees are no exception! Get a room high up and you'll see the big ships and cruise lines crossing the bay. Enjoy countless shops and venues all along the walk. Don't forget to get in the water!! Will definitely go back.

Great resort but expensive.The resort fees, food, drink, valet are expensive. The beds are ok. Room 1825 has a weird layout and it is very loud.

I am very unhappy with my stay and my friends and I will not be coming back!!!! We were forced to wait 45 minutes for breakfast in a half empty restaurant. The buffet did not have clean plates so the guests were using dirty plates to get food. Service was TERRIBLE!!!! Most importantly upon check out there were 3 additional charges on my room that didn't belong to us. I was told that it would be taken care of, yet there is still and additional $129 in charges on my receipt that don't belong to me!!! I am really disappointed that a hotel of this magnitude that charges $400 a night for rooms treats their guests this way. Worst experience ever!!!!!

Good food at the land shark but it took forever to get to us so some of it arrived cold. The drinks were alright. The rest of the resort has a great aesthetic and a cool artificial surfing area.

A majority of staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Check in, activities, beach chair rental, restaurant staff were all very nice.
Decor was beautiful.
Resort was very clean.
Wifi should be better. I own a business and don't have the luxury of not working. Using my laptop was difficult due to the wifi strength. Even downloading a movie to watch on the flight home took well over an hour.
Being asked to put a mask on while running on the treadmill was ridiculous and offensive. At the same time there were 2 other unmasked people in the fitness center.
The coffee shop line in the mornings was ridiculously long. There should either be a second coffee shop (maybe use 1 of the many bars) or more workers in the existing one. 1 staff member working in the afternoon to take orders, make food and make drinks didn't really make sense to us either.
New Year's Eve reserved dinner was absolutely delicious and the service was great. A few issues though. Someone in our party had to ask 4 times about the food we were potentially being served due to her daughter's peanut allergy. She never really did get a straight forward answer regarding the dessert when it arrived with almond on it. No one seemed to know. We were told we could hang out by the bar after eating until the band began so we could enjoy it. Not true. We were told we had to leave because we had to be seated in order to stay. We did go upstairs and hung out on the balcony to try and listen to the band who we were told by our server sang today's hits. Not true. The band, although good, was not a New Year's Eve band for dancing, etc. They played older, slower, dinner music. Dinner was delicious but the rest of the night was disappointing.

Great pricing on drinks & live performance is Very entertaining.

Brand new hotel, haven't stayed there, but the bars/restauraunts/pools are pretty nice. Food's OK, nothing to rave about, entirely too expensive for what you get...

The location and setting is beautiful. The service is time to be greeted and get a dring is very long. We sat for 10 minutes then left because no server cam to us within that time

Margaritaville Hollywood is simply the undefeated champion of vacation resorts. Period!
Beautiful beach, stunning view from our 15th floor suite, immaculate grounds. Attentive staff.
Shout out for a few of your staff that went beyond the call of duty. Bernadette at the hotel lobby front desk, you're the best.
Plinio from engineering, who was at my door in less than 10 minutes from my call and had me hooked up in record time.
And my guy Neil the bellman, seems like I've known him for years and he's all about service with a smile.

We're just trying to figure out when we're coming back and how much longer we're going to stay.

My family and I had a wonderful time. The resort is exceptional, the food at Margaritaville was delicious and the staff was so accommodating. I think what made our experience that much better was how kind and accommodating the staff was.

Brought some friends from Illinois to visit they just loved it.

Beautiful views from 11th floor adult only pool great food and of course margaritas were delicious our waiter seemed to love his job his smile made us feel so welcome

Great view of the beach, it was pack, great vibes and good drinks... What more can I ask for. Anyone would enjoy this bar

Beautiful location, pristinely kept property. We went to the Landshark Grill for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced and good the food was. I will definitely go again in the near future.

Food was great! Hostess was terrible.they said they would call when seats were ready but inside the restraunt there is no service. We told them we would just sit and wait. They ended up just calling anyway and took around 20 extra minutes to realize we were just sitting there. Great food and will eat again though.

Wow! We just could not have had a better experience at this property. Can't wait to come back!

Lovely new hotel. I did not stay there only grabbed a bite to eat.

We saw it just outside with public welcome sign from ocean side. Looks nice and attractive.

Everything was great, i wish there was a microwave available. We had food that we could have eaten the next day. The steak restaurant inside the hotel, i felt rushed my food and overcooked it but the waiter was great. But that's minor. Thank you for the great stay and service.

Parking is horrible in and outside....valet takes forever plus it's expensive and towing companies wait outside to boot your car!!!!
Horrible experience won't do it again!!. Tried it twice ....definitely wont make a third night .....so long!!

Love this hotel. You just feel like you're in the Caribbean !!

Went to the Margarita restaurant for a girls night out dinner.
Ordered a "Margarita" that ended up tasting like watered down sugar water.

The Volcano Nachos were all broken pieces of nachos, the toppings were scarce with a tablespoon of Guacamole and tablespoon of sour cream - all on top, not distributed through out.

Had the Tortilla Soup that looked like mud, and tasted like sweet mud with a few stale tortillas on top.

The mixed salad was not plentiful at all. The cucumbers were brined.

Servers were very courteous and attentive

Don't think I will be going back to dine there again.

Valet not so great - My seat was moved all the way back and he did not turn on my A/C when he brought me my vehicle.

The staff of the hotel and restaurant it s awesome very friendly and always ready to assist.
Our mayor issue was the food, low quality it s more like fast food. Breakfast was ok lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurants not good.

Rooms are good, TV viewing it s limited to cable without any premium movies to purchase to view. A/C it s amazing great special to sleep. Beds are also good. The room it s overall very good (8/10).
The surroundings around the hotel not the best, unfortunately lots of homeless people on the boardwalk and around the exterior of the hotel. Lots of bars so the atmosphere it s not the best for kids or families outside the resort. My wife and daughter had couple bad experiences on Friday late afternoon.
Hotel has great potential, they need to add better quality food to the menus. Night entretaiment and talk to the city of Hollywood to clean the surroundings of the hotel

We where a bit disappointed that the south deck was closed due to a Private event. We did enjoy our mini suite but expected to be able to use the pool for a whole visit as short as it was.
We also tried to enjoy dinner at JWB, knowing that it s a family resort we went later and did not anticipate a barefoot child running throughout the dinning room, Being very unruly and none of the staff addressing it.

Views from the restaurant overlooking the beach are to die for

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with late check out and extending our stay when flights were cancelled

Haley was so nice and friendly, she made our stay there awesome. Kiki the bar tender at the outside pool bar was great also! I was with a group from Cleveland Ohio.

Unfortunately this was our first under par experience at a Margaritaville resort. We often stay at the location in Pensacola and love it. We even just visited the new location in Grand Cayman. We booked this stay on our two day layover from the West Indies to extend our vacation a little bit from coming home to Houston and splurge a little. When we arrived the lower lobby was great, but as we went to our room in the north tower on the 14th floor, we felt that the carpet etc needed to be vacuumed and had many spots, rips, tears in it. It just seemed dated and not well kept for the price of a room. The shower in our room seemed dingy as well and there was hair on our bedsheets upon arrival. Even beyond all this, we were tired from our trip and wanted to get a drink and relax in the adult only pool. We know that this location is centered around families, but because of our love for Margaritaville we still chose to stay here and just relax in the adult only section as it was my husband and I celebrating a second honeymoon basically. We grabbed drinks at one of the pool bars and then drinks/dinner across the street at the Margaritaville along the waterway. We did like the entertainment, but the menus were all sticky, damaged, and overall gross to even hold and look at at both locations. The pool bar had better drinks even though the drink menus were identical. The concert outside on the beach was nice as well, but as we went up to change and go to the adult only pool, it was overrun by kids. Literally, that is all that was in the pool. At least 20 plus. I am guessing it was a private party/convention of some sort, but it would have been nice to know this prior to booking as we would have stayed elsewhere since we were looking for a pool with a view. We ended up staying in our room the rest of the night waiting for it to be over and a chance to enjoy it, but even late, there were still kids and their parents out there. At the end of the night I ordered cheesecake which arrived room temperature/ moderately warm. I was concerned about eating it. Unfortunately, I do not think we will be back to this location nor recommend others as it hindered our outlook on the brand.

This was my 6th visit to the Hollywood Beach resort. The room and service were great as always. My only complaint was dinner at JWB on Saturday 5/25. First, I stopped at the hostess stand at about 4pm to make a dinner reservation. I was told there was no availability until after 9pm. I then checked the open table app and was able to book a 6:30 reservation. We were seated promptly. I also noticed the restaurant was only about 1/2 full so not sure why the hostess would turn business away. Second, the wine list has inaccurate vintage years listed. A high end restaurant selling $100+ bottles of wine should have correct vintage years. As you know, the quality of wine will vary year to year. Might I suggest having your wine list on I-pad like tablets so as new shipments come in, you can easily update the tablet database to reflect correct vintages.

I'm from Michigan and wad there for my son's wedding on May 4th. Aside from a few hiccups towards my son and his wife's stay there that night, everything was absolutely wonderful. A most beautiful experience.

All of my contacts made with Margaritaville folks prior to arriving were very pleasant. Once on site it continue all the way through to checking out. All meals and service were excellent ---eating at Margaritaville, , Margaritaville Coffee Shop-(Breakfast sandwiches) and to top it off dining at -JWB with each course being excellent including Lobster Bisque with a great presentation that didn't go unnoticed, Steamed Clams with an excellent garlic sauce good enough to drink right out of the clam itself--bad manners and all it was that good, Caesar Salad, and finally splitting a Bone-In Filet with a side Au Gratin Potatoes. All pool three pools were well kept and clean and the surrounding bathrooms were the same.
Very well done and classy, you definitely help to make Hollywood FL a destination stop if going to Florida.

Minnesota Parrot heads LOVED Margaritaville - boat drinks best ever. Cheeseburger in Paradise - Volcano Nachos ! Last Mango in Paris O M Gee Go there. I can't wait to go again

Great hotel for a stay-cation. Very clean, comfortable rooms with great views, excellent staff. We were well taken care of.

The resort is beautiful and I was treated very well from start to finish, however the fact that the hotel is open to any beach goer was disappointing. The crowd attending the beach was a little rough, definitely not family friendly. We encountered them escaping the rain by the stairs in the entrance of the Landshark Bar. This dilutes the exclusivity of such a beautiful resort and it becomes an inconvenience. Overall experience was very good. Unfortunately I would not be taking my family here due to the above mentioned reasons. Thank you for your time!

This place is incredible. My company had a event here in the AM and they were intentionally saying to coming back late because they had to have pictures of the beautiful scenery. I hope the Holiday party is here.
