Went to see Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder a couple of months ago on a Sat for a matinee show, and as one of the reviewers below mentioned, the audio was not so hot in the nosebleed section. Needless to say my family and I were disappointed and I chalked it up to cheap seats. After the show we overhead others with the same issue. So I called up the box office to express my negative experience and was politely asked to leave a message with Mark, the Event Services Director. I thought to myself "Here we go. Leave a message and nothing will come of it."

To my absolute delight Mark called me back on Monday morning and since I could not take the call, he left voice mail and continued to try to reach me till I returned his call. When we did speak, he apologized, briefly explained the issue, and dove straight into correcting the situation. He gave me tickets to a different show of my choice (American in Paris), an extra ticket for my son who was going to be visiting, and seats in a location where he guaranteed "my family and I could enjoy the audio."

I had a few scheduling issues and Mark patiently helped me through them - even on a Sat afternoon. When we finally did make it to the show, we found Mark a man of his word. We had seats in row F, just off center.

Wow! That's delightful service. Mark, and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, truly understand what Customer Experience means. They took a negative experience and transformed it into a positive one - with someone that will post it on Google.

BTW, every person I have interacted with at Marcus Center for the Performing Arts has been polite, smiled, and helped. Kudos to all of you!!

I have seen the ballet, symphony, and many a musical here. The seats are comfortable, and the theater is gorgeous. I love the light fixture here. The acoustics are pretty good. I like the clever cocktails they create prior to the musicals!

Season ticket pops series holder for 15 years. Needs a bit more modern material. Even from the sixties and up. Material from the twenty and thirties is almost 100 years ago! Will attract more people. Half of the theater was empty last week.

We went to see the Phantom of the Opera, I have seen it before at other places, this was by far the worst place I have seen it at. I was talking to other people there during intermission and they were disappointed too. I went to the show 2x, once with my girlfriend and once with my daughter, I wish I could have gone only once with both of them at the same time. I couldn't because of their schedule but I didn't mind because I LOVE that musical until then. We sat in the middle of the audience both times, the sound system was poor, you could hardly hear them speak and the woman who played Christine, her voice was quite and weak. It was a poor performance! This is not a good venue to see anything, one way in and one way out of your seats, extremely dangerous if something would happen, a fire or something else. My first and last visit to that place!

Would not recommend going to a show at the Marcus Center during the winter. There was a larger than expected snowstorm on the day of our show so I called into the ticketing office and asked if I could transfer my tickets to another show date. I was told that NO refunds or exchanges were being offered. The 'customer service' reps I talked to were both short and unfriendly. Their advice to me was that I should be fine driving in as the plows do a good job in Milwaukee, and that the snow wasn't that bad. I told them I do not like driving in bad weather and they then told me that I should just sell my tickets on ticketmaster. Bad Wisconsin winter weather is stressful enough as is..was not impressed with the Marcus Center policy and attitude.

We had excellent seats that work too highly priced. We were able to meet with some of the cast afterwards. Add by some memorable items in remembrance of The Nutcracker LA! It was a beautiful night and we enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Our first time experience was this past weekend to see Culture Club. Very bad theater experience. We were surprised to see a full bar when we walked in; our experience at other venues is beer, maybe wine and a few house cocktails. On top of that, they allow you to bring the drink into the venue. Wow, very cool right?

What wasn't so cool, and actually shocking to us, is that the bar stayed open throughout the entire show. We've never experienced that and the effect was overwhelming. Our row was a constant parade of "excuse me's" and "I promise, this will be the last time", from literally a dozen different concert goers in our row. At around the 4th or 5th interruption, I attempted to tell them that this was very rude behavior, both to us and to the artists. Half of them were too drunk to even know I was talking to them.

Scariest of all was the thought that in ten minutes, these folks were going to be getting on the same roads we were. Really a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I called the next day and spoke with a very nice gentlemen and shared our first time experience. He was thankful for my comments and apologetic (not enough to offer us a refund though!), and I got the impression that the revenue generated by the alcohol sales was probably more important and than the loss of two future concert goers.

He assured me that this was not their normal crowd, but isn't that really beside the point? Maybe the price of drinks should be raised to reduce the volume of sales? Maybe drinks shouldn't be offered more than an hour into a show?

The experience was akin to something I'd expect in a bar, not in a "Center for the Performing Arts". I'm sincerely hoping my thoughts will be shared with the board and that some significant changes are made before someone gets killed by a drunk driver leaving this facility....

Until you hear music "in person," you can't know how truly beautiful classical music is. Milwaukee Symphony can match any mega city orchestra too. It's always a pleasure to hear them play.

It's a good theater in a busy, trendy part of town. They get some big name productions and all the seats in the house are good. But the theater itself feels dated, the bathroom situation is subpar and it just feels like it could do with a good remodel. Granted it would cost a fortune but it's needed. The attached parking option is a lifesaver, especially during the weekend.

It was a last minute decision to go to the symphony. I used to have season tickets, so I know the seating layout. However, the seating chart can be accessed on Google. The ticket office opens at noon on Saturday and I requested center orchestra. I ended up in row Y, second to the last row, in the center. The ticket was under $30 with fees and the view and sound were amazing! Drew Petersen's, piano, dynamic performance of Rhapsody in Blue was flawless.

I arrived at the parking structure on State Street at 7:30 pm for an 8 pm concert. There's a $10 fee. Got a terrific spot in a corner. There are elevators and a sky walk over to the PAC. There should be a meet and greet after the concert to slow down departures. As traffic from the upper levels zipper in, it seems to take forever to leave the structure onto a busy downtown street. And, there's no one directing traffic. PATIENCE required. Headed east only to find most street under construction.

Tony Desare, piano and voice, performs Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Elton John, and Jerry Lee Lewis in GREAT BALLS of FIRE March 23 - 25. Sounds like a fun evening!

I'm not really sure how to rate a performing arts center. As our city goes, this is the one (the Pabst has more character but not the same performances). I love plays, ballets and musicals so I can't knock this place to much. It's a bit old and maybe could use some remodeling but the shows are always terrific. The drinks are decent if slightly overpriced but you expect more expensive drinks when you go to a show. If you don't want to pay the theatre price for the drinks you can always go to one of the many bars up the street.

All in all I love this facility, they have multiple stages both indoors and out and it always makes for a romantic date idea, a fun time with friends, or a wonderful family outing especially with its proximity to the River Walk. (in summer months of course)

Pretty standard venue for the arts; I've sat in seats in a variety of price ranges and never really had a bad view. Regularly has ballets, musicals, and individual performing acts. There is a parking ramp that can take awhile to get out of for crowded shows, and street parking is sometimes hard to find.
