I love this theatre, and am very happy that there is accessible seating options, but as a disabled person, the elevators need a serious upgrade! They are so slow! Also it's very hard to use the bathroom during intermission, because all the able-bodied people don't go to the larger bathrooms on the second floor and instead cause a huge line at the bathroom near the accessible seating and won't let the obviously disabled people in ahead of them. It would be nice if there were designated separate accessible bathrooms, or even just signs near the smaller first floor bathroom directing able-bodied people to use the larger second floor bathroom. I'd give four stars for a rating if the bathroom situation wasn't so hard on the disabled, because beyond that I really enjoy myself at the theatre.

I apprrciated that the show was well organized and staffed for ushers and other staff. Bathrooms were clean and well marked. The elevators were limited though. And the stairwells were also limiting for large crowds trying to egress all at once.

Beautiful venue for an absolutely stand-apart performance of the Florentine Opera's Sister Carrie. We just wish there was an opportunity to purchase drinks at intermission and an opportunity to purchase a CD of the opera. If there was a cafe and Florentine Opera table, we didn't find it.

Always a fabulous experience, and treated well. I do however hope that people attending performances are doing all they can to remember to not be in such a rush to get to their vehicles or seats. Relax and relish the experience, before and after, take your time and bask in it.

Awesome Play (The Lion King!) Not a bad price for the seats, getting a beverage took a little bit, bartenders didnt know the rules with no bottles or what was available. Needed a bit more structure to move the line through faster.

Though the production was wonderful. The theater was so cold it was uncomfortable and made the entire afternoon very unpleasant. Almost wish I had stayed home. If there were negative stars I would give you a minus 3.

We went to the Marcus today for The Nutcracker ballet. This place seats comfortably. The acoustics are excellent and the view of the stage in row O was perfect. We really enjoyed the performance.

The King and I was wonderful!! I always enjoy my theatre experience at the Marcus! I just wish theatre etiquette was more widely followed. Especially the accepted etiquette of 15-20 years ago....when it was a bit more strict.

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts (a.k.a. The PAC) is the heart of entertainment in Milwaukee. There are multiple theaters both in the building and outside. During the summer, there are many lunchtime concerts and other concerts held on warm evenings. The theaters in the building itself offer everything from ballet, symphonic concerts, children s theater and traveling Broadway plays. There is some form of entertainment offered every single day.

Older Performing Arts Center but still has great views and relatively reasonable prices. No seat is a bad seat as there are no obstructed views. Many different shows pass through this venue in a given season.

Great old timey style. The light and sound hookup availability is good. The stage space is adequate, and the list of possible tool and gadget usage on the set is endless.
It's warm and welcoming to people, and a well known location.
There is plenty of space for backstage storage and preparing for the show.
Overall an easy access, classy, and versatile environment.

Still an exceptional facility. My wife and I were treated to this year's Nutcracker Ballet and we both commented that it was a much more energetic performance than last year. Brilliant.
During the performance, a light bulb crashed to the stage. The glass was spread out, so the performance could not continue, although they moved away from it and finished the dance. At that point, Michael Pink came on stage and said, "there is nothing quite like live theater". They brought the curtain down and brought in the clowns to start the cleanup and then maintenance people. Then the performance was resumed.
At the finale, the clowns were accorded a special ovation.
In and out from the parking ramp and the Skywalk was almost effortless even thought it was a full house. $15 to park is a bargain in many cities.

Very nice and historic performance center. Good selection of Broadway plays each a year. The children's theater is fantastic as well. Look online for tickets and make it a date night with lots of good restaurants near by

Beautiful theater. It has been a Milwaukee icon for years. It's a great home for all the wonderful shows that come to it. There's great parking in the adjacent parking structure connected via skywalk on the third story. I recently saw The Phantom of the Opera there.

A fabulous experience at the Milwaukee Ballet. The seating is good for everyone. Helpful staff to assist you to find it if needed. Snacks and drinks can be purchased and brought into the theater.
And then there is the performance. It is difficult to find the words to express the enjoyment, from the talented dancers, to the costume designers, to the choreographers, to the stage setting. All talented individuals that come together to ensure an evening of awe and enjoyment.

Our MSO & Symphony Chorus are real jewels in Milwaukee's crown of abundant arts organizations. We had front row center seats to hear five glorious soloists and enjoy the music of the magnificent Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (and can attest to the fact that everyone's shoes were in good shape!).

I've waited many years for the opportunity to see ...

I've waited many years for the opportunity to see Hal Holbrooke's Mark Twain and finally I saw him Monday night. However, I did NOT hear him, nor did many of the people is our section - the far right of the orchestra section. The ushers were trying to be of assistance and indicated that the audio team was trying to solve the audio problem.

I tried two different sets of headphones, one for hearing aids and one for normal hearing. Neither solved the problem. The closest I got to hearing any dialogue was with the "normal" set it but only worked on maximum volume and they didn't have any others available to replace it.

The center section of the orchestra seemed to hear all of Hal's comments based on how often they were reacting to his stories. The second act seemed somewhat better based on the reactions of our nearby patrons, but again it was very limited. The woman sitting next to my wife slept through the second act.

So basically in addition of parking, we spent $108 just to sit and watch the performance. I guess this would qualify as a charitable contribution. Rest assured, we will no longer attend any events presented in Uihlein Hall.
