Saw the Broadway show the gentleman's guide to love and murder. The sound system is horrible, I only understood about a quarter of the dialogue and even less of the lyrics. Was completely lost trying to understand the play.

I got kept out of Lion King 5-7 min b4 it started. I would have bothered NO ONE by going back in after BR. I stood in hall while the animals were standing there, not even in full costumes, waiting too. They should have had an attendant at the door to warn me. Total Bull.

Beautiful auditorium well suited for large shows, theater, ballet, orchestra etc. We had the opportunity to visit for the first time to see the Nutcracker ballet by the Milwaukee ballet company. The ballet company is as good as any other well known company can be. The choreography was outstanding and different from the classic Nutcrackers.
The set design and lighting was excellent. All of Milwaukee should be very proud of such a great company.

I love this venue in Milwaukee. Perfectly located and great seats everywhere in the house. We were there to watch The Book of Mormon, which, despite my being shocked at their language, was still a fun play. I'm going to pray extra hard this week. :-)

I liked the Theater and the Work they presented: "The Lion King".
The Work allowed: Adult and Children Expectators.
I was pleased to see Public very diverse and with good disposition and good Cultural level.
They managed to live moments lived in the jungle and transferred to the Theater that is not easy.
Good Scenography, Music and Technical Effects in Third Dimension, Brightness, Colorful, Technology with good effects.
The group of actors likewise the Expectators of all ages and with good disposition and Skill.
It is the first time that I attend a Theater Play here in the United States.
I was very satisfied with your work.
The Costumes, Makeup of a lot of creativity and ingenuity giving life "Magestuosa to the Work".
It is very expensive for me, I could go because
My friend invited me.

I really like the Marcus. The cheap seats are definitely in the nosebleed section, but the sound system is good. Drinks are available at concessions on each level,at reasonable-ish prices. Parking is a bit of a hassle, so allow yourself a bit of extra time.

A wonderful experience! It's always worth seeing a show here when I get a chance. Pro-tip, grab a drink at one of the nearby bars after the show to avoid traffic as people depart. I've occasionally run into actors from the show and had some great post show conversations with them or other theater goers.

We saw a midsummer night's dream ballet on an afternoon matinee.
Our show was lovley and the performance was amazing. The dancers are incredible, skilled athletes that leap around on air
The sets are simple moving pieces but made with extraordinary detail and costumes are gorgeous. The music is so beautiful but in case you didn't know, it's all slow quiet classical music.
So here are my tips. I highly advise a night show if you want to actually enjoy the program. The matinee brings a huge amount of tired, bored little kids.
It was really warm in the theater and there were a lot of children! Through the whole performance there were several ongoing (as in every 5-8 minutes) screaming and crying children and it was disturbing and annoying. The parents made no effort to calm them or take them out for a minute and the rest of us listened to the screaming through the entire performance. Im sure it makes it difficult for the performers because the theatre is so quiet you hear every sound amplified. Why parents feel it's ok to ruin it for everyone else I'm not sure. But sitting in a quiet, dark theater with soft music for a minimum of an hour 30 min to two hours is not going to be tolerable or interesting for any small kid, so please, please if your kid is under 7 dont bring them. It's not an event they will enjoy. It's not a childrens idea of fun. It's not flashy, bright, with any silly characters. There are no sparkly lights, or catchy songs. Its a 2 hour ballet and small children will not understand the story or even the language which is not modern english. That being said. If your an adult that wants to enjoy the talented artists go for it. Just go at night.

I went there for a work event. Saw 2 ushers standing around chatting so I asked where the event took place. They said on the upper levels which was vague. I went to the upper levels and didn't see an entrance to get to the event. Saw another 3 workers standing, chatting, so I asked where this event was. The gentleman was quick to tell me where the bathroom was, but didn't listen to me asking where the entrance to the event was. When I let him know that I wasn't looking for the bathroom, but the entrance instead, he was quick to tell me to go down to the lobby and there are ushers to take me there. I was already frustrated with the run around and told them the ushers sent me up here. His response was you'll have to ask them to lead you to the correct location. I ended up watching the rest of the event on a tv screen in the lobby because everyone was clueless and unwilling to help. By the time, I found another usher, the event was ending. I've attended other performances and events where ushers were more than willing to help and knew where to go and if they didn't, they got the answers for you. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Great size! Not too big but not too small. Makes it easy to get drinks and go to the bathroom during intermissions. Very impressed by theset and graphics. They where the best I've seen. Only complaint was that I asked one of the security guys where a bathroom was. He said yes then proceeded to not tell me until I had to ask, "are you going to tell me?". He treated me very coldly while I'm trying not to pee in my dress.

This has always been my favorite concert hall in downtown Milwaukee. It doesn t have the ornate architecture or rich tradition of some of the other concert venues in this city, but I like the acoustics here, and I ve always been a fan and supporter of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Alas, the MSO is moving to its own venue about a mile south of here, but that doesn t mean there s not going to still be great performances happening in this storied venue. It has comfortable seating, room for more than 1000 people, and plenty of parking even though it s in a crowded downtown area.

My only worry about this location is that some of the facility s officials are contemplating the destruction of the lovely grove of chestnut trees and park benches on the south side of the building, which was designed by architect who was inspired by the Paris Tuileries gardens. It would be a tragedy if this nicely matured area of shade trees and benches, placed there 30 years ago specifically for quiet contemplation, are destroyed in the name of progress.

Go visit there before the trees are gone and replaced by an inexplicable plot of boring grass, and then see what concerts are coming to town, because no matter what happens to the outside of this modern concert hall, you ll certainly want to attend another one of the great performances inside this beautiful building.

Good production of Anastasia. The room is cool so if you like it warm plan appropriately. The parking structure cost 1 star as you sit in gridlock until everyone ahead of you gets to the top and comes back down.

This is a stalwart in the Milwaukee Performance and Entertainment world. It is one of the larger venues in the city, and in many ways, serves as the leading location for larger performing arts tours. The house provides reasonably good acoustics for most seats, as well as good (if sometimes distant) views.
