We recently bought an X5 from Maranello. The reason for the 5 start rating is due to the great customer service, product knowledge, patience and willingness to help displayed by our salesperson. He is the reason we bought a car from this dealership. There were certain things that did not impress us about the dealership (finance department confusions) but overall we were happy with our salesperson Vasilios Karteros and the sales manager Alex. I would definitely recommend anybody looking for a BMW to reach out to Vas.

I've changed my score from 4/5 to 2/5 to 5/5. Here's why.

Finding a good BMW dealership is difficult. Mercedes dealerships in the GTA are corporately-owned, which makes them more consistent. If you have a problem, getting a solution is much easier. In contrast, BMW dealerships are privately-owned. Instead of being more flexible and responsive, it sometimes feels like their profits take precedence over customer satisfaction and BMW's reputation.

THE CONTENDERS
Here's are dealerships I contacted before leasing an X5 diesel:

- BMW Toronto: this former corporately-owned store looks impressive but is disappointing. The sales rep didn't follow up as promised. An online request for a quote went unanswered. How are you supposed to buy?
They own the BMW Etobicoke Service at 1542 The Queensway but that's been shut down after "4 years of successful business".

- Pfaff: this location used to be BMW of Mississauga (where I got my prior BMW in 2005). The new owners have made changes which aren't customer-friendly. The sales rep I've known for years couldn't provide a quote by email due to a "company policy". That wasn't a restriction before. Instead, I had to go to the dealership in person. Normally I wouldn't bother but this time I did. The quote was uncompetitive. However, if I found a better quote elsewhere, they might match it. No thanks. In addition, you're charged $20 day for a service loaner you'd get free elsewhere (plus mileage).

- Budds BMW Oakville: the experience isn't the same as before. My previous rep has a different role. The replacement was another get-the-best-price-and-we'll-match-or-beat-it. Forget that. Give me a good price yourself! I asked for a quote that included Driver Assistance Plus (5AT) and got Driver Assistance (5AS) instead. The rep argued that 5AS had adaptive cruise control. It doesn't! Also, there were numerous extra charges that no one else had, including $200 for fuel ($100+$100).

THE WINNER (4/5)
There's good news. Jonathan Tam at Maranello BMW. We "met" through Unhaggle. His email quote was much better than any other dealership. He made revisions willingly. Best of all, Maranello had an X5 about to go into production. I was able to configure it exactly the way I wanted (including headlight washers). No other dealership suggested a custom build (except BMW Toronto).

The perfect vehicle + a great price + solid service. You'll have difficulty finding anyone who more friendly and accommodating than Jonathan.

THE BAD NEWS (2/5)
My work requires driving to visit clients like doctors, lawyers and successful business owners. If the new X5 wouldn't be ready before the lease on my Mercedes ended, I needed a suitable loaner. Despite advance notice of a month, there was no loaner ready. Unacceptable and stressful!!!

THE REBOUND (5/5)
I got a well-equipped loaner two days later. I can keep it until my vehicle is ready. Bye bye stress. Hello smile :)

The best measure of a dealership is how they resolve problems. I'm now comfortable with Jonathan Tam and Maranello BMW and recommend both. I'm confident that the delivery process and ongoing maintenance will be done properly.

... if only they'd get a better beverage machine that makes a nice hot chocolate!

First car purchase! Working with Yusuf Haydar was the best, he truly had our best interest in mind and broke everything down for us to make sure we wouldn't experience buyers remorse especially on such an important purchase. We had very conflicting schedules but he always made it work and when it came down to crunch time, everything was handled seamlessly! Thank you Yusuf and your staff for treating us with such care!

Had some issues with my BWW 128i went in for service. Worse experience I had. But at least I got a $100 refund. Didn t even get a call back or email from the sales person that said he would. You guys lost a sale... I was really interested in purchasing a new BMW. So my husband and I decided to go to AUDI down the street and purchased a great car from the best sales person named... Perry Goodman!

I would highly recommend this location for all your BMW needs. A huge shout out to Gina in service for always being ontop of things and always going out of her way to make sure everyone has an amazing experience. Thank you very much!

I highly recommend John Pavunkovic! I"ve purchased over 5 cars from him. He knows his stuff, he's honest and gives excellent customer service! It's refreshing to see such professionalism!

As a car enthusiast, I have purchased many cars over the years. Everytime I am about to go through the process, there are 2 deciding factors for me to close the deal. First, getting the best deal which means shopping around and doing research. Second, being assisted by a knowledgeable sales associate who cares about customer service, is genuine and passionate about the job. I found all these qualities and more at this dealership with Mr. Amir Shirazi. He made this whole process such a wonderful and exciting experience. For the first time, I found myself talking to an associate who actually knows the product that he is selling and is very passionate to do so. He made sure I got a great deal and walked me through all my options. I will definitely be returning for my next purchase!

I came in to service my bimmer (engine oil and plugs). Couple days later I've spotted few oil drops on my driveway. I came back to Maranello to address the issue with the service department. Service department took my bimmer in right away for a check and discovered a leaky front diff seal(completely not related to the service they had recently done). The diff had to be replaced. My service advisor was Terry. I can't express to the fullest my gratefulness. Terry made that experience an absolutely easy one for me. Vehicle was services fast and Terry kept communicating to me during the repair also he did his best to work out a satisfying rental deal for me(vehicle/price) the same time my vehicle was taken into service. Terry thank you very much and the rest of the service crew who got my bimmer back to me so fast.

I was recently introduced by a friend to Johnathan Tam. What a fantastic experience! John was most professional and patient. He cares about earning your business rather then simply getting a quick sale. He answered all my questions and ensured I got a good deal. Looking forward to the new vehicle - thank you Johnathan!

Would not recommend anyone to buy from here.have Bought 2 bmw x5 s from this dealership, they make promises that are never going to be delivered and they will play the blame game from one department to another and leave you hanging and disappointed.Be extra careful and cautious before signing any deal because they will promise anything to make you sign but never honour it.

Had my Bmw X3 serviced there today and what an amazing experience, outstanding customer service! They were able to give me a morning appt, diagnose my issue and set me up with a loaner car for the afternoon. Car was fixed by 2pm. All of this after 2 other dealerships in GTA told me I could not even get an appt for 2 weeks! Thanks Gina for your flawless customer service!

I had the pleasure of working with Ricky Teeuwen when purchasing my vehicle. He was so easy to work with and listened to all of my needs and concerns. Dealership is awesome. Looks like they just renovated and everything is up to date including the service from The service advisors to the technicians. I have an older BMW which is out of warranty but I still choose to return to Maranello BMW instead of the local aftermarket shops in the area because I know it will be done right the first time.

My car was low on engine oil and this dealer was the closest at the time. Didn't expect much as it was my first time at this dealer. But the Service Advisor Don Chen greeted my politely and had their service guys check my car immediately. He did a great job and was honest in giving me a run down of the diagnostics of my car. Ended up doing an oil change and was very pleased with the service team for their time and effort. No reason not to give 5 stars.

Recently I came for a test-drive, Jonathan Tam was my sales adviser and he was grate. A little too tall but he was a lot of fun. He knew his stuff and really helped me find the car I wanted.

Quite a surprise getting the sales service from this dealership! John Z was patient, thorough and made the visit a very pleasant experience. Actually already found one and almost bought it from another BMW dealership closer to home. But John s invitation was so sincere and that had me gone in to have a last look. I did not know him and like all stories about walking into an unknown dealership without referrals, I was skeptical to the tilt. But I found choices were ample, on-lot stocks were clean, very presentable showroom (both new and pre-owned). The whole team - sales, manager (pre-owned), finance manager, service manager was 100% synchronized, which really helped to complete the deal. Appreciate all the hard work fellas! This is, I must stress, the most pleasant purchase of the five vehicles (two new, three pre-owned) I bought in the last three years. Congrats to Maranello BMW s owner and investors in assembling and having such a team! It was Heaven and Hell if I were asked to compare the one I almost one from and Maranello BMW. I had to take my BMW in for service on a damaged tire. Normally I go to BMW Toronto but I just moved to the area and wanted to work with my local dealership. Honestly I was a bit disappointed when I got my car back. The service department did fix my tire in a timely manner. However, I got my car back with no wash, I inquired about refinishing a rim and they focused on talking me out of it, called me and recommended I do a charged tire rebalance which I did, and was told I have no access to a shuttle service. I expected similar service that I have received at BMW Toronto but did not get it.

This dealership was top notch! I went for a visit last week.
Great first impression, relaxed vibe and considerate hospitality as soon as you walk in (coffee, tea, water, anything you need).

I was fortunate enough to be greeted by the friendly smile of sir Jon Tam. He was so pleasant and engaging. Jon took the time to find out what kind of lifestyle I have and from there went above and beyond to educate me on different models that would suit both my lifestyle and budget. Furthermore, Jon was a great test-drive passenger he is so authentic, personable and quite funny.

I would highly recommend Maranello BMW and in particular Jon Tam to anyone in the BMW market.

6 hours for a routine oil change on a leased vehicle. What more is there to say.

I took my BMW for service and they did and excellent job, very fast and time efficient as ell. They even went beyond their responsibility and fixed an issue that was not part of service as complementary.

There are new car sales persons and then there is John Pavunkovic. I have known John for over 12 years now and have done 5 new car transactions with him over that period. He is just a thorough professional who is very transparent with the details of the transaction and works in your best interest. What also sets him apart is his level of commitment to you even after the sale is complete.
I had Financed a vehicle for 5 years through John and I needed to get out of the deal after about 2 years. Terminating agreements early are always very expensive. I reached out to John. He immediately got back to me with news that he may have a customer who could be interested in purchasing my vehicle. To cut a long story short, I walked away with a SAVINGS of approx $4000 to $5000 and the buyer got the car he was looking for. John's commitment to his profession, ensured he had 2 very happy customers.

Car was not washed after service. They said recall was already done on car, but problem is still intermittent.

The service I received last week to repair a couple of on going issues with my 2003 M5 went way beyond expectations. Starting with Gianfranco Cavalieve(Johnny Vegas) who put me in the hands of the more than capable Service Advisor Lisa Lum York, who proved to be incredibly helpful in explaining the initial procedures, kept me updated regularly on whatever changes became necessary, informed me to the last details of the cost involved, and graciously called to inform me when the car was ready for pickup.
The overall experience was nothing short of amazing. Should also mention that between Johnny and Lisa, they directed the car to the shop mechanic ( I believe his name is Mario) whom they felt had the experience and know how to do the best job on the car, and I appreciate the insight and and attention to details that was given to this job.
I would highly recommend Maranello BMW as a shop for anyone with a BMW to take their car for service, and I am tremendously happy with the level of service that I received from Johnny, Lisa and Mario.

The lady who just started at the dealership who left Porsche very nice and welcoming.
They inspected my vehicle, took my keys. After service was done they called and said "we found a nail in your tire" and took no responsibility for it.
Than I picked up the key and found the car dirty dispute the fact that exterior wash was included in the service. I asked the lady and she referred me to the manager Jeff. He was rude and attacked me saying they washed it despite the mess everywhere on the car. Than she told the lady just ignore him. I felt sorry for her to work in this Zoo.

Great help from John Pavunkovic and the entire Maranello BMW team. The price was better then other BMW dealers and knowledge was excellent. John took his time walking me through the car features.

Rude people in Service..took my car in with one engine light..got it repaired and brought the car back.the light was back the same day so I took the car back..and instead of repairing my car they completely made it stop working. You don't expect to pay $11,000 on car service..only to have it stop working. Workers tried to avoid having to speak with me..in the end I had spent so much money that I could have put towards a new vehicle if there was really a problem they could not fix..clearly the staff in service is untrained if they could not determine what was wrong with the car..and messed around with random things that completely made the car not even go into drive. Repeatedly found myself being lied to by the service manager about what was wrong..he said one thing then switched it up and said something else. Never again will I ever go to this dealership or even recommend it to anyone. HORRIBLE. Also, not to mention I was looking at some of their cars while there and when I started one..an engine light was already on in this vehicle..they don't sell properly functioning vehicles..how can a car at a dealership on sale with a engine light already visible..

This was my first time bringing in my vehicle to them, I came with an engine light last minute and no appointment, lucky for me Don Chen took care of me right away. Jan 30, today i had a question about the service that was done on my vehicle couple days ago. I walk in i was greeted by the reception and mobility and two advisors' waiting for ten minutes which was fine, I understand they were busy, there was a female advisor that was filing her nail instead of helping me, it was so unprofessional to have someone at your front counter filing there nail. I just left, if this is how maranello is doing business than I would not come again.

Brought in for an issue that was fully covered under warranty. Lisa the service advisor was great, friendly and helpful.

I had a terrible experience in there with the Lisa.I made an appointment to change the oil at 1:30PM on Wednesday. Lisa promised that it will finish at 5 pm Thursday. But I didn't receive any calls or messages before 5:00 PM on Thursday. I told her that I needed a car to work on Friday. I called the BMW dealer more than 5 times and Lisa not answering the phone on Thursday. Until Friday, I came here and I saw that the receipt was written finished on Friday. She is not notify me on Thursday, and lie to me that she called me on Thursday. This made me lost my part-time job. I feel so angry about this.

Was really disappointed with the sales person. I should have left before the test drive. As soon as he told me that this car 'was better suited for me based on my profile' I should have walked away. He didn't even ask me any questions about me how did he create a 'profile' for me??? He wasn't able to answer all of my questions and instead of asking another person or looking it up, he just moved on to the next thing.
The sales manager came over status end and seemed nice enough but at that point I was already disappointed and looking to leave.

This dealership is a complete disaster. I usually deal with PFAFF BMW in Mississauga and they have stellar service. Maranello is a joke. I had tranny issues with my 5 series 535i that was caused from a recall the provoked it. These people were the closest to my work so I drop my car there. I get a call to come by. I go by and I'm told by 2 very arrogant service advisers that I need a brand new tranny and it would cost 18 grand. A 3 year old 80 thousand dollar BMW with 80 thousand clicks doesn't get tranny issues just like that. These idiots didn't even put it on a hoist and or inspect it properly. I had it towed to PFAFF and they had the car for a few days inspecting and testing it thoroughly. They went the extra mile and got BMW head office involved and I was full covered and rec'd a brand new tranny and had the recall the damaged the original tranny fixed only having to pay 1000 for labor. 1000 dollars versus 18,000 dollars....you do the math people. I don't care how long Maranello has been in business but this dealer is a scam looking for a place to happen. Teach your staff how to do their jobs correctly.

Excellent customer service I experienced . I also received Professional , Courteous and Caring customer service especially from Lisa Lum York ( Service Advisor ) who was also understand . She even rendered shuttle service to me and gave me some pertinent advice and recommendations using her Expertise. Am happy to have chosen BMW . A cut and class above the rest ( competition ) !

I have been to the dealership today for an used vehicle. We have been greeted and helped by the gentleman named Andrea Gulusano, who have been more than happy to help us. He clarified all the questions and arrive at an great deal. Andrea was accommodating to the requests. We also interacted with Sales manager Bart who was helped and walked us through the financial part. It was a good experience.Thank you Andrea ,Bart and the other people in the dealership for giving such a great service. All the best!

When the time came to renew our lease, I simply contacted Maranello via phone and I was refereed to John Pavunkovic. I had several questions and unsure to lease a 320i or 330i. John asked me a few questions and learned about our goals and expectations and made a recommendation that suited our needs and budget. When I requested a few of photos of each model, John drove to their compound and within minutes, snapped a couple of photos and emailed them to me right-away with no hesitation. I didn t have to test drive the car as we currently drive a 3 series BMW, so we signed the papers and completed all truncations via email and without stepping into the deanship, just the way I like it.

John was a pleasure to work with. He was gracious, knowledgable and professional; He also offered me the best customer experience and a deal I was looking for. On the Pickup day, John had all paperwork ready, walks us through all new features and we left happily we our new ride. I highly recommend Maranello and John Pavunkovic. Took our car in this afternoon. Our service guy was John Kim. Gave us excellent service. Usually dealerships are slow but these guys are fast and offer great customer service.

I had a great experience for the servicing of my car. The staff was courteous and the servicing was completed in a timely fashio, with notification provided.

John Pavunkovic may be the single greatest salesperson I've ever dealt with. He is low key, low pressure, friendly, patient, understanding and honest. I'm a tire-kicking fence sitter by nature. But for JP I may have stayed sat on that fence forever! A total gem.

Highly recommend looking for Jonathan Tam for new sales, he is the best guy to go to as he does his best to get you what you want and REALLY delivers what he promises you. Not only is he there for you during Sales and Delivery period but also after sales he has your back if you need any help with service related issues.

Brought my car with a full tank of gas when they were supposed to perform a recall on it didn t even perform the recall on my car and left my car with a complete empty tank definitely will not be going back to this dealer ship

This is my second experience after Gina became my service advisor. Again, I am totally floored. I am a fan of this girl. Let me tell you my story. The car was giving off some burning smell and I even saw smoke. So I take it in. Last time my service contract took care of it. This time Fine had to go back and forth with the insurance co. She showed them pictures she took on her phone of the part and fought for me and made sure they understood it wasn t the sand part and got it covered under my service contract.
Can you imagine?? I paid nothing! Nothing to get it fixed.
Gina is unbelievable! I have never seen a person more efficient, more customer oriented, more caring and smart in a very long time. She goes the extra mile

I was very angry. But because I couldn t say anything nice, I said nothing.
I had already found another Machanic to take care of my car.
I had promised myself I d never, NEVER go back to this dealership again.
I went back because I had a flat and it was covered under my tire insurance. That is when I met Gina. Rest is history.

I got my 2011 BMW 328i xdrive open recalls addressed here. Good and fast service. My car was ready in 3 hours. Just be careful on the service recommendation that they recommend. They recommended for me to get coolant flush, which I had already done 2 years ago or 20,000km ago. I declined the service as it wasn't needed.......
