Needed a prescription for an obvious ailment, family physician was out of office until Monday. Using this service was well worth the cost as I did not need the ER, and there are very limited after-hours clinics within my community.

Horrible. You connect on chat within minutes but takes 1 hour to see a Dr. I felt like it was robot asking the question and 5 minutes between each text. What a scam. Clearly a ploy for marketing.
Have only needed to use it once in the 7 months my company is paying for it, but the doctor we connected with (under 3 minutes, so less time than going to a walk in clinic) was courteous and gave us the reassurance we were looking for to do what we were going to do already.
I had a consult today with a Nurse Practitioner. When I questioned her about her diagnosis and asked for the contact information of the Medical Director, she ended the chat without answering my question. I then spent over 2 hours chatting with their customer service. They refused to provide me with the name and contact information of the Medical Director. Furthermore, they breached my privacy by telling me to submit the medical question that I was not allowed to ask through their support staff. Their support staff gave me their support email address which everyone has access to to ask a Medical Director review my case. During that 2 hour chat I received several conflicting information. They still refuse to provide me with the name and contact information of their Medical Director. Their is no transparency and my privacy was breached. In addition, their website does not mention that you may be seen by a Nurse Practitioner for the same fee as a doctor. The app has a button "see a doctor". But, you may be seen by a Nurse Practitioner. Had I waited 2 hours in a walk-in clinic, I would have seen a doctor and not a Nurse Preactitioner for free.
Very good service provider. Got instantly connected to a great doctor while traveling abroad. The doctor listened well and was able to give me a very good feedback on my concern. Very helpful. Thank you.
Had a very positive experience using Maple, and would recommend Maple for those instances when it's not practical to see your family doctor - and the situation is conducive to remote consultations. Dr. Chatur was very understanding and helpful - and his consultation will pay for itself in better health I'm sure. Also I have to also give a shout-out to the support staff who replied very quickly and facilitated successful use of the system. Thank you to all involved!
It was my first time using Maple & it was easy to navigate. The doctor joined my within minutes & a few minutes later a had a prescription to accept & send to my pharmacy ! Excellent service & saved me so much time. Thank you very much !!
It was great to consult with a doctor prior to going to the ER, but his notes never reached the hospital so it was pointless. I ended up having to wait 3-4 hours until I got any care, even though I was told that I would not have to wait as long because I was a virtual patient.
It was my first time using an online doctors consultation service and I found it to be great!! I will definitely be using this service from now on. It almost eliminates all of the waiting I need to do when I see a doctor in person.

The experience was very good. The consult doctor guided well for the test process and we got the appointment as per our requirement. We were treated well at the appointment time and the whole process was smooth and was able to get the results on time as per direction.
I only waited between 6-10 minutes and the doctor was great. I needed more medication and supplied him with what I had which was helpful to him. He asked a few questions and then faxed the prescription to my pharmacy. I would definitely use this service again.

At first I was skeptical because of the cost involve. I always get use in just giving the healthcard whenever I had to see a doctor, But Im glad I did coz Its the best Doctor appointment ever. Within half an hour a specialist doctor see me right away. I couldn t believe it. We are talking SPECIALIST doctor!! I would have been waiting for ages if I relied on my GP doctors referral. Fantastic experience. Within about an hour of requesting a consult I was meeting with a dermatologist. The Dr. was thorough, took full medical history and gave me options regarding treatment. I was able to send my prescription to my local pharmacy, fax a copy of the meeting to my family doctor and receive medical requisitions immediately. Was amazingly convenient and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again for something non-emergent.
This was a simple, easy way to refill an Rx. The doctor confirmed how and when I use the medication - I like that there were some checks and balances in place - confirmed by ID as well. I will definitely use it again.
Very unhelpful and unprofessional. First time my wife contacted they refused to help her with a common UTI infection and hung up on her. Second time she tried them they refused to help her with standard medicine for seizures. I am not giving them a third try. If they can't even help with basic things what is the point of using them?

During these weird Covid times I really didn t want to take myself and my new 2 month old to the hospital to sit in an emergency room for hours just for thrush! I heard about this app, spoke to a doctor, and the next day picked up the prescriptions! I will definitely be using this again! Dental Abscess on the long weekend. Where do you go for pain relief? Do you suffer for 3 days or perhaps go to the Hospital? I stumbled across the Maple virtual dentist and within a half an hour I had antibiotics in me. Unbelievable. What a relief!!! Prescription went straight to my pharmacy and was ready when I got there. Response in a timely manner. I was able to access a doctor in 20 minutes, as a POA, which was very helpful. The advice and prescriptions are working. I have been in touch with my parent's doctor who is comfortable with the treatment. A real savior on a Saturday when things were getting worse. I very much appreciate this opportunity offered by Shopper's.
Maple Health has been an incredible waste of both my time and money.
I paid $180 for an appointment with a dermatologist, Dr. Solomon. He was unable to properly fill out a requisition form for bloodwork. He also failed to inform me I was expected to fast for 8+ hours. Luckily I made an assumption and the bloodwork was done the next day, after fasting for 8.5 hours. It has been explained to Dr. Solomon more than once that the fasting was done, but he refuses to do anything until another blood test is completed. I understand that there are limits to everything, but what really irks me is the fact that with the amount of time this will take me I could have just gone to my GP. I would have had better results and I wouldn t have paid at all.
Best part? Maple will not issue a refund if you had the consultation. What is advertised as fast, efficient service is absolutely the opposite. I don t want your healthy wishes Maple, I want adequate service.
I had a bad experience with Maple a few weeks ago. I booked an appointment with a dietician at the recommendation of my family doctor, as I have been experiencing chronic pain and severe fatigue for years now and my doctor thought dietician services might help me. I booked with Simon Belanger of Superior Nutrition Consulting Services at 2pm on November 23rd. It cost $99 and should have been fully covered by insurance.
I woke up the morning on the 24th (my appointment was at 8pm that night) in severe chronic pain. I was barely able to stand up, let alone get out of bed. Soon after that, I got a phone call from my dad that my grandmother was in the hospital and that I needed to come see her quickly.
So with my chronic pain, fatigue, and now a life-threatening family emergency, I reached out to the maple support line and asked if there was any way I could reschedule the appointment, specifically mentioning that I couldn t make the phone appointment because I was having a very bad pain day, horrible mental health now, and, worst of all, a severe family emergency.
I was told that, despite the circumstances, a refund would not be given to me, as it is Maple s policy. I reached out to the dietician directly, explaining the situation, but after almost 3 weeks, Simon has yet to respond. Very unprofessional and unsympathetic.
As for Maple, I am appalled that in times like these, a corporation that is profiting off of individuals who are desperately needing healthcare right now, they wouldn t be able to have some compassion for those of us who are financially struggling AND dealing with loved ones who are severely sick. It just shows that they really don t have any sympathy for the declining state of health in Canadians right now, they re only in it for the money.
If you re looking for FREE virtual healthcare, I suggest Ontario Virtual Care Clinic , Tia Health or Tulip Health . The doctors are much more compassionate or your health concerns, are almost always on-time for your appointment, and don t rush you out with unanswered questions and fears.
Do yourself a favour and don t use maple. They are showing no compassion in a time of severe global crisis, so imagine how they re going to act after the pandemic is over.
Absolutely fantastic service. Impeccable! Within 7 MINUTES (!) I was put in contact with a doctor. He asked me a series of questions, just like at the clinic. He then sent me a prescription via the app.. and the app was able to send to my pharmacy of choice. Within 15 mins the pharmacy called me to confirm they had received my prescription and when it would be ready. Just wow. During this period of confinement, to have access to medical consultation from the comfort and safety of your home is amazing. Well done!

Wait time was less than 10 minutes, doctor who responded was very polite, professional and courteous. Especially when I was having difficulty uploading a document. My prescription was sent immediately to my selected pharmacy without any issues. I would definitely recommend this service.
I love it s simplicity! I live in a small town, couldn t get in to see my dr in a timely manner and didn t want to bog down the emergency room since they re busy with flu season and such so I tried this app. I will definitely use this app again if the need arises.

On a few occasions, a member of my family had a cold and when we submitted a request to connect with a doctor for a consultation highlighting the symptoms, we were rejected. Just today, my consultation for a bad cold was rejected because the doctor, who did not bother to connect with me, felt I should go see a doctor in person. In the early days of GetMaple, this never happened and we were very happy with the practicality of this online service but if a GP can't be bothered to engage with you, ask some questions, and if required, give you a prescription for a common cold then then they should re-evaluate their customer service strategy, especially for those of us who pay for an annual subscription for their family...so much for peace of mind.
Anyways, as far as I'm concerned, I have absolutely no faith in GetMaple anymore and would recommend people not use it.
I couldn't believe the ease and simplicity of using this service. For a routine requisition form I needed for a scheduled procedure, this was quick, simple and completed from home in minutes. Would DEFINITELY use Maple again.
Kinda happy that I finally got what I wanted without having to provide my health card number, however I was charged alot more than I was told on first siting. I ended up getting charged some sort of late night fee which ended up costing me $100 out of pocket.
