A good experience generally - I found a space quickly and the short walk to check-in was so easy.

On return my ticket would not get the barrier raised but on pressing the assistance button the staff sorted me out and I got away quite soon. One point - it was not easy to find the correct button to call assistance. This was in the dark and raining and would have been easy in daylight.

Slow passport machines with constant assitance needed. No way for layover flights to have a smooth journey through the airport. The mose expencive Wetherspoons in the whole of the UK, which is really saying something. Plus no smoking area after security. Makes spending 5 hours at this grey place virtually unbearable.

Pre booked my parking in car park 2. Parking was very straight forward and walk from the car park to checking in desk was quick. Only niggle was it very slow through passport control when we arrived back. After that leaving was as straight forward as arriving.

It was an okay experience
Coming back from Edmonton,Canada with a stop over in Calgary and London
But when we came to our final destination our suit case was missing, that's what we thought so I went over to the other conveyer belt and guess what? Our suitcase lying on the floor with the tag lock broken luckily nothing wasn't stolen
This was my worst experience of my life i still enjoy good ol' Glasgow!

Arrival to airport and transfer to terminal smooth, good start to holiday. Unfortunately on return from holiday and transfer back to car we encountered a number of issues. Firstly we found the signage for the car park confusing outside the terminal, took us sometime to work out where we needed to be. Secondly the queue for the car park transfer was long with no indication of where it started or in fact ended and understandably everyone wants to get to their car and get going home, we had to wait 25mins for a bus. Lastly on departure from car park we had more waiting to do with only two exits from the car park being blocked by drivers for whatever reason and only seeing staff at the window of the building looking out and for us perceived as not helping. Overall very stressful on return back and questionable if would use again, time and day of flights would need to be considered prior to this decision being made. The cost of the parking was reasonable, so I am trying to be fair with this review.

Nice and bright little airport.

Nice and bright little airport.
Friendly staff and lots of amenities.
Car park right on the door step, and iron bru in the vending machine as soon as you get off the plane!!

Car park signage and track are very confusing.
The changes which keep happening every time I come are not improving (best was 10+ years ago)
Used to be a great place to drop off family spend abit of time(helps bring in business for your shops)
Car park charges are beyond a joke.

It s become a cash cow for the airport with no improvements to the airport.

It takes 5-10 mns to find a trolley!

Airport is dull, not family friendly.
Terrible choice of shops and limited.

I would give 0 stars if possible.

Check in staff at Emirates desk are good and that s about it.

Honestly have nothing else positive to say.

This is the best airport. I ve been through it about 50 times, never waited more than 10 min for security, and that happened once, typically it s about 3-4 minutes. Check-in is easy, has a good selection of food (if a bit pricey, but it is AN AIRPORT.) Lounge isn t terrible. All in all, a great place to get on a plane to go somewhere.

The airport is quite small.

The airport is quite small.
The lounge is not really great but yet can be helpful and of nice for people who are not allergic.
I think they should invest more in the lounge as there are lots of people who would use it and also think of having a better egg option. Their egg is pre cooked so it is very dull no taste at all.
Other than that it s all good.
Thanks guys

Functional, not-so-sophisticated airport. Helpful airport staff provided effective guidance through the border clearance process, which made my arrival experience a very pleasant one. The departure process was also like a breeze with easy to follow guidance and clear, logical markings helping passenger to get to the gates. The accent in the airport PA system sounded very charming.

Would be a five star if the wifi service offering improves further.

Parking is on stone chippings rather than tarmac. Allow a few minutes to drive round looking for a space. Shuttle bus drop-off at the airport is close to international departures, but the same bus stop at the airport for the shuttle bus back to the long-term car park is not well signposted or clearly marked. On arrival prior to departure the camera did not recognise our number plate but this was quickly resolved by the car-park attendant.
Plenty of bus stops in the car park and immediate bus to the airport - few minutes wait on return for the bus at the airport to the car park. In an ideal world a digital timer would indicate the time till the next bus.

Amazing

I'm flying from and to Glasgow a lot, it's a good airport compared to some of the others in the UK. The layout changes a lot and the planes rarely board when the tickets state. The airlines however can sometimes have lengthy check in times.

(ESSENTIAL TIPS INCLUDED BELOW, READ MORE) Just AVOID this at all costs. Edinburgh is way better and even Prestwick! This airport just gets worse. Most money starved airport in the entire country! The staff and security are absolutely vile More

Not the same airport that I used to know.

Not the same airport that I used to know.

Before there was a seating and viewing gallery upstairs, now you have to go through to a departure lounge to view anything and its highly commercialized and crowded.

Plus, terrorism has meant that there are barriers up everywhere, and parking is awful and expensive. You don't get enough time to pick up for free.

AVOID and go to Edinburgh instead!

Welcome

Very poor experience after flying into glasgow airport from mahon on friday 12th august 2016. The BA Flight landed 10 min early at 2140 but then the entire flight had to wait for 90min for our cases to appear on the carousel. Watched 4 or 5 other flights come in after us and pick up their bags straight away. The BA rep had no idea what had happened to the cases and kept saying it would be 5 or 10min. Kept getting told different stories about there being a shortage of baggage hamdlers, the bags still being on the plane, there being no supervisor on that night etc etc. Finally the airport duty manager appeared and almost started a riot after suggesting that the bags were out the back but they hadn't put them on the carousel because people were sitting on it!
Very poor organisation from an international airport. Left families and kids waiting for a ridiculous amount of time with kids falling asleep on the floor next to the carousel.

The worst airport I've been to so far.

The worst airport I've been to so far.

In my life, I have used many airports around the world. In South America, in the States, in many European countries and I have NEVER come across what happened at the GLASGOW airport.

I was after 4 flights (lasting 2 days) coming back to Poland after a long journey. I am only human so it is normal to be very tired after spending more than 48 hours in airplanes. I hid in the terminal, trying to sleep peacefully somewhere. I was constantly watched on the cameras because in a moment two men came and laughed that I was sleeping on the floor. They chased me out of this place and told me to go to the arrivals.
On arrivals I lay down and a woman came saying that I had no right to lie down and that I could not be covered with anything. I answered her my story, I was already crying from stress, and these people didn't care. They only said that this is not a hotel and that I DEAD THEIR IMAGE OF THE AIRPORT.

The guards and "medics" are just heartless there. They don't care about the man. How robots do their not-so-smart job.

We felt constantly monitored and followed at the airport. We felt like chased rats.

I am sorry that these people find it so hard to think for themselves and that they must obey such a nonsensical law. I am embarrassed by this.
The treatment was inhuman and heartless. I didn't think that anything like this still exists in the "civilized" world.

I do not recommend.

Usually prebooked parking works like clockwork but due to a last minute change of flight I arrived several hours before my booking was due.
The issue was my ticket wasn't recognised as prepaid and said I needed to pay the full fee for 3 days on my return.
Getting a human being to the office was the issue. Once there it was all sorted but the reluctance of the supervisor to send someone was obvious
Let's hope he was just having a bad day!

Have flown to and from this airport in the past and had no trouble, however recently I had a connecting flight from Orlando to Gatwick via Glasgow.

On arrival at Glasgow I had to queue with everyone else entering the airport - where they should really have a faster or separate lane for connecting flights. I was then sent to baggage claim without another option which I thought was really strange.

I asked in the baggage claim area where we were supposed to go, we were sent to arrivals and told to then go to departures and go through security all over again. The queue for security was really long and we shouldn't have needed to have gone through it all over again.

When conversing with the lady in the baggage collection area, she checked our luggage receipts and ensured us our luggage was going on to Gatwick, however when we arrived at Gatwick our luggage was no where to be found & we were told that it was still in Glasgow - along with a few other groups of travelers who also had the same connecting flight.

If we had of had to pick up our luggage at Glasgow and check it in again, we would of missed our connecting flight as the queue for baggage check in was also extremely long.

The airport needs to improve with better facilities for people with connecting flights: faster queues, better information and more staff. People with connecting flights should not need to go through security again as they will have already been checked at their primary destination.
