Once again the Fast Track parking was a good service with no problems. It's good to have the priority at security too although the parking did use to cover both in the car now it's only the driver anyone else has to pay ! A bit of work going on at the moment for improvements so getting out was a pain but hopefully that won't be for long. Would definitely recommend.
1years ago ..I went to my daughter's house from Kolkata India I never face any problem ,Scottish hospitality please me and very good,
Fast transfer. fast check in. Fast security top marks. Good food and drink
glasgow very well marked and easy quick check in staff nice lots of italian type restaurants
Easy access to the airport, plenty of shops and restaurants to explore or eat whilst waiting for your flight.
was not happy about having to pay to drop off family here. Good airport lots of facilities inside but not a very friendly airport :-(
The place for me to connect with the world. Small airport but all what you need is there. Security is usually swift.
Travelling with four children we really needed the airport process to run smoothly, and it did! Well done Glasgow Airport!
Always easy and pleasant to use. No complaints - Heathrow it ain t !
It was quite a surreal experience as it was early in the morning and there was nobody about
Have used this airport a few times for both UK and international flights. It was always friendly and easy to use until the terrorist attack in 2007, since when it has become much more security conscious (understandably) but is still easier to use than the London airports. There are not as many outlets, food or non food, but always seems to be enough. Shame you can't view the runway any more.
Quick, efficient and no hassles getting in and around. Compared to Luton Airport seemed a lot more on the ball and efficient at getting people in and onto their destination.
Worst service that any airport could possibly provide with. A bucket full of snobbish staff members.
good service needs to be sign posted a lot better though
Quite a nice airport. Not nearly as crazy and busy as a larger airport. Plenty of places to sit. Short and quick line to go through the border. Very clean bathrooms as well!
Standard airport, quick check-in, easy access from the center, crowd people
The airport is not very big but has all the amenities (even two starbucks one outside the passenger area and one after the checks).
There is a lounge open to everyone (of course for a fee).
Many shops and restaurants inside.
Wi-Fi for payments throughout the hotel (including sturbucks)
Friendly airport. Medium sized. Security is quick. Decent selection of shops and bars. Currently undergoing some refurbishment. Pay to pick up and drop off which is irritating.
Just a typical airport. Good link to city centre by service 500 shuttle. It is a chore getting between the different areas to board. I got a nice message from Glasgow Airport apologising for any difficulties I had. Thing is, this is not just a Glasgow problem. Any fairly large facility like this has inherent problems due to size and getting passengers moved around the inside of buildings. The cost of installing moving walkways and other infrastructure is just too costly unless you run a Heathrow size operation.
Arriving back from Burgas 16/07/2019 a group of 10 with 5 children and one person in a wheelchair an extremely helpful member of staff showed us where to go to go through security only to be snapped at by a mini Hitler that sent 8 of us back, complaining it would take all day to put us through together. Her attitude and how she spoke to us was absolutely atrocious. Think she needs training in how to treat people. Just disgraceful. She unfortunately left us with a poor opinion of the airport, which up until then I would have gave 5 stars!!
I've been flying out of GLW on both business and leisure trips for many years. As a frequent flyer I have always found the service throuhout the airport to be of a very high standard compared to other airports.
I'd rate this airport 3.7 stars. It's a bit rundown, it does need a makeover, however it's very functional and organised.
Good airport never had an issue, security seems to move quicker than most
Recently travelled to Spain from Glasgow airport. Easy to navigate, all staff were kind and helpful, especially with two young children. The short stay car park was right across the road from the main terminal, so couldn't have been more perfectly positioned.
Nice and quiet but no testing or not to many people wearing masks. Bus into Glasgow very good all people wearing masks
Very quiet, lots of places closed, but sailed through security. But they still charge you for the privilege of getting dropped off there.
Fly out of here regularly and never had any major issues and main departure area is also much improved after all the recent refurbishment works. My only issue with GLA is the passport control when arriving back is more often than not a very poor experience.
Very good condition the plane came on time the people were very helpful and friendly nice to us.we will be coming back again this August for to fly out to Spain.
Decent wee airport with reasonable food and shopping options for its size (Boots/starbucks do sandwiches and there are pubs and restaurants for sit down meals). Security largely depends on how busy it is, but almost always under 10mins.
Each time I go the experience is good, the time to get through security is very short and the facilities available are good.
Signage poor, cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired (toilets).
All of a sudden we need to pay to drop and collect passengers. How is that ok?
If u had better public transport to get there this may not be a problem!!! But u taking the piss here
Well organised, timetable and seating area provided for waiting on arrival family friends or clients.
WH Smith shop and MOZZO Coffe house just on side.
Nice little airport. 20mins drive from Glasgow city center with no traffic. All amenties in place, clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Border security very strict with your water bottle
Great airport to fly to very helpful and friendly staff all around and good service from the information desks as well
The customs experience was the worst I have ever encountered. The customs officer was verbally aggressive. I felt intimidated.
Good airport, I find security here to be better/quicker than EDI. Still hate being forced to walk through the Duty Free shop though!
Small and well organized airport. Fast routes and even the security staff is nice.
In and out of here every day as part of our business, costs are extortionate to pickup and drop off and the way that carpark 2 is laid out with pedestrian walkways to the rear of parked cars is an accident waiting to happen
Airport was fine, with the majority of passengers wearing masks, and plenty of social distancing measures in place. I was also able to take advantage of a FastTrack route through security which was genuinely "fast"!
Three stars only, due to B.A. continuing to keep their Lounge closed, despite Lounges at other airports having reopened, and another Lounge at Glasgow also being open. But B.A. simply state "Our Lounge is closed and we have no other arrangements in place. Thank you for your continued loyalty". Not good enough B.A.
I emailed them FOUR WEEKS ago to ask what alternative arrangements they have put in place, and they have not even given me the courtesy of a reply.
Every seat in Club on this flight is full, so that's 32 passengers all denied Lounge access, which is an element of the ticket cost.
Not bad had some food and drink helpful staff 99% wearing face masks
Absolute outstanding airport for plane spotting, although much better in summer. 1 flaw would have to be that security are never off your backs! Inside the airport is alright I suppose.
Too many plane. NICE air attendants.Xray took my sex doll and dildo.
My flight was changed to an earlier time I did try to update my times on line and couldn't, I tried the online form I was given information that wasn't helpful, I then phoned Customer Services and a lovely lady explained that your online service had been updated since I booked and that was why I was having difficulty, she updated my booking for me, I didn't get her name, she was so pleasant and efficient
Glasgow Airport is no different from many others in the UK. The sole intention is to take as much money from you as possible while you are on the premises. You will be charged the moment you arrive to be dropped off and will be charged again to be picked up. There can be long lines at security here which adds to the stress. You then have to walk through a parade of shops which claim to sell items at less than high street prices. Restaurants are limited and expensive. The airport resembles a shopping centre with a runway added on as an after thought. If you can, fly from somewhere else then do that.
Thanks to google maps you can get to know the airport via the internet and plan what bus, what time and from which stop to go further. And so many positives. Worse, my plans were to leave the airport less than an hour after arrival. The control queue ended at the door to the runway, so I came to the control after waiting over 1.5 hours. Not bad, because travelers from outside the EU waited longer.
Departure to Poland did not cause any problems, but for comparison, I waited at the Okecie airport for about 1.5 minutes.
Fast and courteous service. But thieves.
They stole a perfume in the transparent bag of liquid products for safety.
A perfume of 100ml.
Easy layout and staff are friendly. On site restaurants are expensive but overall its not a bad airport. The thing I'd like to change are the announcements. They're nearly inaudible, foreign travelers won't understand anything with that accent.
I didn't rate the Glasgow Airport experience very highly during this holiday trip. I chose the NCP car park this time, which was more expensive than my previous choices but thought with it being closer and the return flight arriving around 1am in the morning it would have been worth the extra, not the case! We were left standing outside the terminal building long after all the other passengers had been picked up by there respective car park transport, so won't be using NCP again.
The overall airport experience wasn't great either, having used Edinburgh for both holidaying and business trips recently, I must say that I prefer it to Glasgow. I thought after going through to the departure area, duty free was ok, I think it looks dated and dank, shops are poor, food outlets were poor and unappitizing. We decided on Starbucks for a coffee as the flight was delayed! this was an awful experience with tables left with cups and spills with no one tiding up, food offerings were poor also..we went to Boots for a sandwich! I think it was the only coffee outlet? didn't notice any others. (Costa is much better!)
So, in summary.....I won't be choosing Glasgow as my airport of choice unless my holiday dictates it. My preference will again be Edinburgh, for both parking and service within the terminal building.
Seriously train your staff how to interact with people in a way that doesn t come across as pure ignorance
Drop off or pick up passagers is paid, what is abusive. The airport is not big so you can expect quick queues.
Lovely place clean bright open easy to follow signs great staff
Very good and nice places to wait ,we really need more direct flights to Nigeria.
Thanks
Shitplace All the airports I have been this is a winner in bad service and ripoffs
The queue for incoming passengers was not organized. Baggage reclaim area poor, other than that it was OK.
Great little airport, great location too. I've went through Glasgow airport many times and I find it a piece of cake to navigate and very quick to get through security. Nice wee pubs in there too.
It s an airport. better than edinburgh. Quick through security etc
Extremely rude staff, my friend was racially profiled. Probably one of the worst airports I've ever been to
Used car park 2 and it was pre booked and the experience was seamless. I had no issues what so ever and will use again.
Very slow and inefficient airport. Forecourt is still closed to cars more than 10 years after the incident unlike USA. Security is very slow and still can't take liquids over 100ml unlike Australia. Passengers are directed through shops and past restaurants instead of shortest route to gates unlike nearly every other airport. Their traffic control systems can't even show the gate until 30 min before departure leading to a very stressful wait. Ground staff are very slow and after fully boarded it sometimes takes half an hour for a fuel truck to arrive. If land too early in morning ground staff sometimes aren't ready to accept plane at gate. There are only 6 shabby looking passport control e-gates (their numbers are on paper stuck on and numbered in reverse order to how they should be) and not all work correctly and sometimes are still getting used even though the screen shows the Windows software has crashed instead of the instructions. Bags are always very slow to arrive at the carrousel. Lastly there is a 10 minute wait for the 10 minute bus to the free pickup area. All of these delays add up to the most inefficient airport I've been through.
FAO: Treasure Hunt....clue 5?
The last place for your travel plan, is where this treasure hunt first began?
Getting a lots better. Security in particular is now super efficient
Amazing customer service as always and make sure you make your flight on time!!! Anyone with special needs will get all the help they need making it great for anyone. The layout works very well making sure everyone gets on there flights on time!!! All round great airport!
